This document outlines the plan for a short action film. The target audience is ages 15 and over due to strong language and violence. Surveys were conducted to understand audience preferences which will be incorporated into the film. Interviews will also be conducted using an audio and video script to learn more about the audience. The film will be released in the summer when students are on break to maximize sales. Advertising will include a trailer, billboards, magazines, websites and radio to promote the film.

5. Target audience
■ A target audience, Is a selection of people who I would potentially be aiming the video
towards. For example, customers which I will aim to please with the whole process and
also the marketing and advertising strategies.This will help towards more sales.
■ The target audience for my film is based at 15 and over as this will be an age restricted
film.This is mainly because of the scenes which mostly contain strong language and
violence.
■ This film will be based for all genders and all social grade.
■ Which demographic they fall into will differ considering the many age ranges this aims
towards.
6. Audience profile
■ Audience profile will be for information about a person who could potentially be part
of my target audience.
■ Many important facts will be included such as their age and gender will be also a main
feature to this audience profile.
■ Economic characteristics like employment, ownership, and social characteristics such
as lifestyle, leisure activities will also be included.
■ For the two audience profiles I will be creating, will be one male and one female.
Therefore, I will get more information of what one from each gender may like
personally.

■ I have done a survey to get more ideas about the audience and what they want
regarding my short film.
■ This survey includes 10 questions about different features to justify in what I would put
in my short film.
■ Surveys help to know what different people want involving into something.Therefore, I
will use this data and include many of it together to make a happy audience.
■ Moreover, if I include things wat audiences say they want, this will increase sales
because they will want to pay to see it therefore, this is good for marketing and sales.

10. Plan for interviews
■ Ask more detailed questions like what are in the survey, this will help towards knowing
what the audience want, moreover, this will create a happy target audience.
■ I am going to do an audio version and also a video version.
■ I am going to write a script and this will make sure I know exactly what questions I am
going to be asking during the audio and video version.
11. Release date
■ The release date what I am going to choose is in the summer.This is mainly because all
students are off for the summer. Moreover, this will help with the sales and marketing
aspect of this short film.
■ Summer is also a more known popular time so I will use this to my best knowledge for
this.
■ I also will have a press release and create this which will be published for advertising.
This will also help with costing, this is because it is free.
■ The release date will be published a couple of months before.Therefore, this will will
also help with advertising because it will get out there publically before the film being
released itself. I will do this by website, film sites and also magazine, however, the
trailer will be the main focus point for the release date.
12. Advertising
■ The advertising which I will use for my short film: adverts, trailer, billboards,
magazines, rating sites, film websites, radio and many more.
■ These advertising techniques are the most popular which is used.Therefore, I will use
these as proven by research it will boost marketing.
■ These are promotional messages to communicate with the public by using words,
speech and pictures/videos.
