2. What are the ideas for your documentary ?
• I am going to make my documentary about how social media has
changed through the years and how it influences people in different
ways.
• I am going to touch on cancel culture. How it can influence peoples
identity's, and how it can spread positive and negative messages for
example bulling and how it can influence people to help with topics
such as BLM and the “don’t say gay” bill that was passed in Florida.
• I may not end up using all of these ideas in my final product nut this is
the rough plan for my documentary.
3. Why is a documentary good for this
campaign?
• I think that a documentary will be good for this campaign as there are
many different types of documentary's. This allows a lot more create
freedom while making this documentary.
• A documentary will also be on for longer compared to a tv advert this
allows a lot more techniques to be used for example more editing
techniques and better cinematography.
4. What have you learned from looking at
existing documentary's.
• One thing that I hadn’t realised about a lot of documentary's is how
they will show clips or still images while a person who is getting
interviewed is talking. This keeps the viewer entertained engaged on
what is happening on screen.
5. Are you planning on sticking with the codes
and conventions for your documentary?
• Yes I am planning on sticking with the conventions of a regular
documentary for example some of the conventions would be
interviewing real people voiceover narration. I am also going to use
clips over the interviews to keep people entertained so that it doesn't
get too boring with just the interviews.
6. What is your UPS ?
• My unique selling point is about how social media influences people
in a different way.
7. How will this appeal to the right audience?
• I think that this will appeal to my target audience which is between
16-18, as this demographic uses technology and social media a lot
this means that my documentary which is based around social medias
influence on peoples personal identity's.
