3. AUTOLYSIS
• Is the enzymatic digestion of
cells by the action of its own
enzymes ( lysosomal enzymes ),
and it mostly occurs in dying in
dying or dead cells.

4. When dose autolysis occur?
• After death all cells goes under
autolysis.
• Due to presence of ulcer.
• Due to presence of fibrosis.
• In sites of cut surface.
• Due to ischemic changes.
