2. Stopping Litter and Raising Environmental
Awareness in Singapore
Give talks to students.
We were attempting to change the
problem of littering in Singapore, as well as
Paint dustbins (thought of but not raised).
instill environmental awareness among the
people. Give out flyers.
Send a petition to the minister of
environment.
Create a Facebook page.
Send mass emails.
Our final solutions was to give a talk to students, give out flyers, send a petition, create a Facebook
page and send out mass emails. Four of us students participated and we impacted five Primary 2
classes, approximately 180 people through flyers and email. It changed the situation by cultivating
environmental awareness and responsibility in students. However, the other solutions received a
dismal response.
