guitarist, Synyster Gates. He is portrayed in a superior way, crouched on a bass drum
infront of a large building high up; connoting the impression he is in some way in charge.
The use of dark, monotone like colours reflects the genre of the magazine, as rock and
metal are considered as dark rebellious. The central image is placed on the left hand side
of the magazine, equalizing the text to picture ratio.

the article has used this masthead to intrigue the audience into reading more. The
masthead is an un-answered statement, so therefore it creates the effect that the
