To attract more customers Claybrook Zoo required a
professional website with the following properties:

3. The current system is paper-based
 for every animal in the zoo, there needs to be a form
filled out for them. All the information includes
species, animal history, name, date of birth, location
etc. are only in paper
 it is extremely easy to lose the data about animals if
the paper with the information is misplaced or lost
 a new system needs to store all the data for each
animal which will be easy to access
In the new database system all the data and information
will be online, accessible at any time and safe.

4. Claybrook zoo does not have a website
for customers to login
 Claybrook zoo does not have it at the moment
 it would be ideal to have customers to logon to the
website
 displaying information about new animals
 displaying event dates
 displaying plan a day to the Zoo
 online newsletter to the clients
The new system will offer more information to the clients.

5. Claybrook zoo does not have a website
for sponsor to login
 would like to see the website developed as that could be
used as a way of advertising the animals that aren’t
currently sponsored
 to create an online sponsorship agreements
 displaying information about the sponsorship scheme
 displaying key dates for animals that need to be sponsored
The new system will offer online access to the already
sponsors, but will attract more new sponsors.

6. There is no software that can be used as
comparative material
 central admin data stored for all the animals which
only administrators can edit the information
 the visitors are not allowed to get information for each
animal

involved with the Zoo species
With the new software the visitors will have access and
gets information for each animal.

access levels
 the new system should be one integrated system with
different features for different people
 the administration team should have one access portal
which will allow them to access anything
 the visitors should be able to have access to the Kiosk
The new system will be able to update data quickly and to
allow everybody to access the database systems depends
on his level.

8. There is no any Commercial Products
Are there no commercial products placements for
example:
 leaflets, windows, outside of the cages
 electronic display sectors in the zoo
 electronic signage with the sectors of advertisement
The Commercial Products that will be ideal to include for
all the products.

9. There are no online newsletters
Automated procedures that Claybrook Zoo has no in
the current system are the following:
 monthly newsletter and reminder letter
 report for un-sponsored animals
 list of any (animal’s owners), or individuals that
haven’t renewed
 letter to clients and sponsors for a new sponsors once
they arrive
Make everything electronic (in terms of computerising or
having electronic records)…

10. The current Zoo system it is not
excited for the visitors
 the main reason that the Zoo has no many visitors is
that is not excited and don’t attract more visitors
 the teenagers and children are not able to interact will
the animals. They are not learning something new any
time that they visit the Zoo so are not interested to
came again and again
 example which is good at getting people involved as it
is interactive is London zoo
The new system of Zoo will be more exciting, interactive
and entertaining for all the visitors.

The two main concern that Claybrook zoo should follow
(in terms of security) are:
 a new secure system (especially with sponsors login,
accessing their personal data and details
 reputation loss
 company data loss (company, employee and client data

 new ideal backup system; an internal room and an
external location to backup all data. Where all the
data will be stored in case of data-loss

 audio and visual would be a great addition. If the
animal is not in sight visitors can still hear and look at
what the animal looks like
