The document describes Amy-Jane Patrick's screen-based design project for attraction businesses. The project includes an interactive mobile application and information kiosk that will provide digital experiences for visitors. The mobile application will include features like live maps, event timelines, ticket purchasing and social media integration. Looped animations and posters are also planned to enhance the on-site experiences in a non-interactive way. Wireframes provide examples of how the interactive products could function.

9. Why?
I want to regenerate the experiences that we have at
attractions - specifically the experiences families have. As
technology is such an integrated part of society, I see no reason
why we shouldn’t allow it to further benefit the experiences we
have outside of the home or outside of our personal lives. I see
an opportunity to create a package of technologies that serves
entertaining, practical and educational uses.

Mobile Application
Information Kiosk
Projected Loop Animations
Animated Posters
12. Mobile Application
Removes any restrictions a person may have when visiting an
attraction. Provides them access to live information and makes their
entire process at the attraction much simpler. No one likes to feel out
of control or ‘out of the loop’. Also allows for last-minute visits.
Interactive Kiosk
Provides an opportunity for children to learn whilst out and about,
and to present information in ways that a child may find more
engaging. Gives the chance to present it in the form of everyones
learning styles.
13. The Plan
Mobile Application
Available across
different platforms
Various features
to enhance
interactivity
Aimed at an older audience
(specifically parents)
audience (children)
All-in-one application
14. Mobile Application
2-part application
“I’m at the Zoo” and “I want to go to the zoo”
Why?
It divides all of the reasons someone may visit the app into 2
categories, making it simple to navigate. All of the categories
within the app cover the most likely queries a user may have,
and there is always an ‘other’ section.
16. GPS/Location Based Map
• Layout for Tablet
• Ability to search for
nearby attractions
• Highlights important
areas (e.g. toilets,
medical)
• Google maps inspired
• Directions to
locations
• Route given
23. • Ability to Purchase tickets
• View those tickets via a Barcode
• Accounts
• Log in/Sign Up/Skip
• Subscription to Push Notification
• Social Network Integration
• ‘Kids Zone’?
24. Interactive Kiosk
Still in the process of planning this.
What I know:
• Child-friendly
• Some sort of game/quiz
• Ability to sync up with the mobile
application
• Based around education
35. Looped Animations
Another way to keep someones attention. Quite often, you may not
realise an animation is looped until it has looped a few times. Also
adds up towards a more sensory experience as they would not be the
‘main attraction’ - they would be projected behind the main
attractions, adding to the atmosphere.
Animated Posters
Fun way to present information in a more forgiving form than a static
poster. Allows option for transitions and implementation of video, as
well as the ability to present deals/events in different ways.
36. The Plan
Animated Posters
Features an
animated logo Aimed at an older audience
No limit on any
colours
& full resolution

audience (children)
Features promotional
material for the

38. The Plan

Animals & a Logo

Seamless looping
Aimed at the younger
