This document discusses the process of migrating from Microsoft Exchange to Zarafa, including: 1) Setting up a proof of concept with Zarafa on a virtual machine connected to the existing Exchange environment to test functionality and evaluate impact. 2) Migrating the proof of concept to production by scaling infrastructure, developing a migration plan, testing with IT department, and deploying to all users. 3) Migrating all user data and settings using the Zarafa migration tool while integrating with Active Directory for managing users and groups. 4) Emphasizing the importance of training end users and administrators to ensure a successful migration.

factor for a successful migration
Clear communication about changes in the solution
Make very clear migration and deployment guide and test it upfront!
Train helpdesk and administrators upfront, to solve questions and
issues faster
