Background Information
• Zara is a Spanish clothing and accessory brand
• The company was founded in 1975
• Zara is one of the 8 supporting Brands within Inditex, also their best
selling retailer
• Few clothing brands keep up with the latest fashion, are of high
quality and yet, affordable
• Spanish clothing brand become the go-to fashion brand for all by the
late 1990’s
• Zara has close to 6500 stores across 88 countries around the world
• Do not advertise anywhere but own shop window displays
Why we chose Zara
We chose Zara because after researching we had found that Zara had no advertising what
so ever.
We also decided to come up with a few new ideas to add to one of the high streets
favourite flagship stores
• Plus Size idea came from noticing that the stores biggest size is a L (UK 12-14)
• Skiing plus clothes Research showed that there are many Zara worldwide, quiet a few of
them being in countries where skiing is a big hobby for many people.
• Wide Fit this fits in with the new plus size range
• Loyalty Card after researching we found out that people can visit Zara up to twice a week
so the loyalty card is a reward for them customers. A Loyalty program that gives
customers a percentage off on merchandise (due to the Loyalty Card being valid in all
countries), rewards, coupons, or even advance released products.

Background Information • Zara is a Spanish clothing and accessory brand • The company was founded in 1975 • Zara is one of the 8 supporting Brands within Inditex, also their best selling retailer • Few clothing brands keep up with the latest fashion, are of high quality and yet, affordable • Spanish clothing brand become the go-to fashion brand for all by the late 1990’s • Zara has close to 6500 stores across 88 countries around the world • Do not advertise anywhere but own shop window displays
  • 3. Why we chose Zara We chose Zara because after researching we had found that Zara had no advertising what so ever. We also decided to come up with a few new ideas to add to one of the high streets favourite flagship stores • Plus Size idea came from noticing that the stores biggest size is a L (UK 12-14) • Skiing plus clothes Research showed that there are many Zara worldwide, quiet a few of them being in countries where skiing is a big hobby for many people. • Wide Fit this fits in with the new plus size range • Loyalty Card after researching we found out that people can visit Zara up to twice a week so the loyalty card is a reward for them customers. A Loyalty program that gives customers a percentage off on merchandise (due to the Loyalty Card being valid in all countries), rewards, coupons, or even advance released products.
