Study on details machine parameters of
comber
Objects:
 To remove fibers shorter predetermined length so as to enable spinner to
produce finer yarn than that can be spun from the same carded sliver.
 To remove neaps and impurities.
 To produce uniform sliver of required wt./unit length.
 To make the fiber straight and parallel so that yarn become even and lustrous.

Passage diagram:
At first lap is fed by lap roller. Then lap is passed though the condenser. Material
is passed under the feed roller and through the nipper. Here top and bottom
nippers are used to nip the lap. Then lap is passed through the detaching roller.
Here a cloth clearer is used to clean the lap. Then it passes through the
condenser and calendar roller. Then it enters into the drafting zone by the feed
table. Then the drafted material is passed by the help of belt into trumpet.
Finally it is deposited into can by passing though coiler calendar roller and coiler
head.

COMBER LK64 Z
Comber LK64 Z with technological speeds of upto 500 NPM, incorporated with
(MCDPPlus) is designed to produce upto 1.7 tons/day of combed sliver. This
technology, combined with specially profiled, light weight aluminium alloy
Nippers and reduced number of moving parts, assists high speeds and
productivity.
HEAD STOCK ASSEMBLY:
 The drive elements in the head stock are designed with hardened steel gears
for smooth & reliable performance at higher speeds. The drive elements are
centrally located for better serviceability and provide easy access for gear
change and are precisely balanced for perfect swinging movement. The
headstock is designed for good heat dissipation at higher speeds.
DRAFTING SYSTEM:
 The drafting system is equipped with friction driven conveyor rollers, inclined
3 over 3 drafting arrangement with positive suction arrangement,
pneumatically loaded top rollers for better fibre control, auto piecing
assistance of sliver, toothed belt arrangement for silent running and simplified
roller setting arrangement for user friendliness
COILER & CAN CHANGER:
 Linear can changer arrangement with 24”x48” can size at delivery with provision
for reserve can arrangement. The one stroke linear can changing mechanism leads
to less doffing time and improves efficiency of the machine. Separate sliver cutting
mechanism provided to ensure positive separation of sliver during doffing.
MODULAR CONSTRUCTION:
 Comber LK64 Z comes fully assembled in four modules ensuring short installation
time. The Module 1 consists of Head stock and eight combing heads, Module 2
consists of the drafting unit, Module 3 consists of the coiler assembly and Module 4
consists of the suction hood.

Study on details machine parameters of comber Objects:  To remove fibers shorter predetermined length so as to enable spinner to produce finer yarn than that can be spun from the same carded sliver.  To remove neaps and impurities.  To produce uniform sliver of required wt./unit length.  To make the fiber straight and parallel so that yarn become even and lustrous.

  • 4. Passage diagram: At first lap is fed by lap roller. Then lap is passed though the condenser. Material is passed under the feed roller and through the nipper. Here top and bottom nippers are used to nip the lap. Then lap is passed through the detaching roller. Here a cloth clearer is used to clean the lap. Then it passes through the condenser and calendar roller. Then it enters into the drafting zone by the feed table. Then the drafted material is passed by the help of belt into trumpet. Finally it is deposited into can by passing though coiler calendar roller and coiler head.

  • 6. COMBER LK64 Z Comber LK64 Z with technological speeds of upto 500 NPM, incorporated with (MCDPPlus) is designed to produce upto 1.7 tons/day of combed sliver. This technology, combined with specially profiled, light weight aluminium alloy Nippers and reduced number of moving parts, assists high speeds and productivity.
  • 7. HEAD STOCK ASSEMBLY:  The drive elements in the head stock are designed with hardened steel gears for smooth & reliable performance at higher speeds. The drive elements are centrally located for better serviceability and provide easy access for gear change and are precisely balanced for perfect swinging movement. The headstock is designed for good heat dissipation at higher speeds. DRAFTING SYSTEM:  The drafting system is equipped with friction driven conveyor rollers, inclined 3 over 3 drafting arrangement with positive suction arrangement, pneumatically loaded top rollers for better fibre control, auto piecing assistance of sliver, toothed belt arrangement for silent running and simplified roller setting arrangement for user friendliness
  • 8. COILER & CAN CHANGER:  Linear can changer arrangement with 24”x48” can size at delivery with provision for reserve can arrangement. The one stroke linear can changing mechanism leads to less doffing time and improves efficiency of the machine. Separate sliver cutting mechanism provided to ensure positive separation of sliver during doffing. MODULAR CONSTRUCTION:  Comber LK64 Z comes fully assembled in four modules ensuring short installation time. The Module 1 consists of Head stock and eight combing heads, Module 2 consists of the drafting unit, Module 3 consists of the coiler assembly and Module 4 consists of the suction hood.
