The paper proposes a seven-level modified cascaded multilevel inverter designed for industrial drive applications, which minimizes total harmonic distortion and system complexity by using fewer switches. This modified inverter employs a unique control strategy and pulse width modulation to efficiently generate various voltage levels while reducing the number of required semiconductor switches. Simulation results indicate that the proposed topology achieves impressive performance in terms of reduced harmonics and total harmonic distortion compared to conventional multilevel inverters.
