This document provides information for interns in the WSU South Puget Sound Principal Program. It defines an internship as an opportunity to work closely with professionals in a desired field, apply coursework knowledge and skills, gain confidence, network, reflect on the role, and determine fit. Interns have mentors and supervisors to support them. The program requires collection of evidence of competencies. Interns complete 6 projects aligned to leadership standards and attend monthly seminars. Support resources like samples and a shared Dropbox folder are available. The goal is for interns to successfully complete the program and become prepared school leaders.
