This document outlines the principal evaluation process and resources in Minnesota. It discusses the foundation of principal evaluations, the competencies and rating scale used in evaluations, and the basic elements and timeline of the evaluation process. This includes setting goals in July/August, reflections in September, observations from November to February, and concluding with an evaluation conference and professional growth plan in March/April. Student achievement is a key focus of evaluations. Resources for principal evaluations developed by various Minnesota organizations are also provided.
