Identifying your resources
Consider the festival you are planning to stage and answer the following questions:
Where will your festival take place? (Will events be staged at your school/college or another venue?)
Our stage will take place in the school at CTC site. It will be both inside in the main hall area and the
classrooms that are beside the hall and outside in the playground.
What equipment do you need? (This will depend on the type of events being staged, e.g. you may
need sound equipment if one if your events is a concert.)
- Microphone for the singers that are doing a performance
- Drum kit and musical instruments for the performance
- Tables for the stalls and for the nail bar
- Chairs need to be available for people who are waiting.
- Bouncy castle and archery to be hired
- Projector for the film room
What materials do you need? (Are any artefacts being made specifically for the festival? What will be
needed for the production of promotional materials such as posters and leaflets?)
- Art students are planning the exhibition which includes GCSE art work and Creative media
festival work.
- Posters need to be made to advertise the festival.
- Announcements need to be made to all students.
Who will be contributing to the festival events? (Will you need help and support from people such as
teachers and technicians? What will your own role be?)
- We will have a music technician to help us with the performances.
- Student volunteers will help us with the event especially in the outside area to help with the small
children and the safety of the bouncy castle.
