The Crucible Act 2 Analysis
The stage lights illuminate Shylock s home, initiating Act 2 scene 5. Shylock is seated on a couch
tying a black tie around his neck. Lancelot is standing nearby. The opening line of the scene is spoken
by Shylock as he straightens his tie. He speaks, Well, thou shalt see, thy eyes shall be thy judge, The
difference of old Shylock and Bassanio with resentment (2.5.1 2). Shylock should pause after each
marked comma and hold a scowling facial expression. He should not be looking directly at Lancelot.
After deciding that his tie is good enough, Shylock should stand as he calls out, What, Jessica! (2.4.3).
Shylock should then hesitate before continuing, as if waiting to see if Jessica will respond. When no
response comes, Shylock should continue ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He cries, But wherefore should I go? I am not bid for love; they flatter me: But yet I ll go in hate, to
feed upon The prodigal Christian. Jessica, my girl, Look to my house. I am right loath to go: There is
some ill a brewing towards my rest, For I did dream of money bags to night (2.5. 13 17). Each phrase
should be spoken with increasing anger, and emphasis should be put on the words prodigal Christian .
Jessica should wince at these words.
Shylock appears intimidating, but it doesn t affect Lancelot as he had become accustomed to Shylock
s rants. Lancelot speaks in a formal manner, I beseech you, sir, go: my young master doth expect your
reproach (2.5.18 19). Shylock sighs at this statement, releasing a large amount of his anger. Shylock
responds, So do I his (2.5.20).
Lancelot continues in a somewhat secretive manner adding, An they have conspired together, I will
not say you shall see a masque; but if you do, then it was not for nothing that my nose fell a bleeding
on Black Monday last at six o clock i the morning, falling out that year on Ash Wednesday was four

speaking. When speaking about the masque, Lancelot should gesture in some way to Jessica, to try
and hint of Lorenzo s upcoming plan. This gesture should not be noticed by

How Did George Martin Become The Fifth Beatle
The Beatles were one of the most popular and influential music groups of the 1960s. The Beatles have
an estimated eight hundred million records sold worldwide and popular even to this day. How is it that
The Beatles were able to craft and compose music that was applicable to everyone? Of course, every
great musician has a producer who helps translate the musician s ideas into feasible possibilities.
Everyone knows of the Fab Four as Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr,
but an argument could be made that there was a fifth Beatle . That man was Beatles producer and
arranger George Martin. George Martin was born January third, nineteen twenty six. He died March
eighth, twenty sixteen. While the main lineup of the Beatles only went through one change in its
history, that being replacing initial drummer Pete Best with Ringo Starr, George Martin was the main
producer and arranger for the Beatles the whole time that they were signed up until Abbey Road. At
the time that Martin met the Beatles, they had a slight following in England, but no luck landing a
record deal. Martin listened to the original Beatles demo tape and saw potential in the group especially
McCartney and Lennon s vocals. It was then that Martin offered the Beatles a recording contract and
the rest is history. How did George Martin then become the fifth Beatle ? That question will be a
reoccurring one as we examine how Martin s influence and final touches made some Beatles songs
shine and others explode as number one hits. What was it that George Martin brought to the table?
While for one, Martin had experience working on comedy recordings and that gave Martin a sense of
experimentation. Martin also had a classical background which allowed him to take his experimental
ideas and put them into motion musically. Martin is quoted as saying, When I first started in the music
business, the ultimate aim was to try and re create, on record, a live performance as accurately as
possible, which was true. However, Martin saw that with a willingness to experiment (which he had)
new music could be made unlike any heard before. Martin s handprints can be found all over the
Beatles catalogue and his suggestions transformed

Cholera Is On The Rise With An Population
Cholera is on the rise with an estimated 1.4 billion people at risk in endemic countries and an
estimated 3 million to 5 million cases and 100,000 120,000 deaths per year worldwide. In many
endemic countries, children under 5 account for more than half of the global incidence and deaths.
Cholera has remained endemic in some Asian countries for centuries, has become endemic in an
increasing number of African countries with epidemics throughout the years, and has recently returned
to the Americas with on going transmission in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. New, more virulent
and drug resistant strains of Vibrio cholerae continue to emerge, and the frequency of large protracted
outbreaks with high case fatality ratios has increased, reflecting the lack of early detection, prevention
and access to timely health care. Vibrio cholerae, a member of the family Vibrionaceae, is a
facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, non spore forming curved rod, about 1.4 2.6mm long, capable
of respiratory and fermentative metabolism; it is well defined on the basis of biochemical tests and
DNA homology studies . The bacterium is oxidase positive, reduces nitrate, and is motile by means of
a single, sheathed, polar flagellum. Growth of V. cholerae is stimulated by addition of 1% sodium
chloride (NaCl). However, an important distinction from other Vibrio spp is the ability of V. cholerae
to grow in nutrient broth without added NaCl. In the scientific classification established by Carl von

Tooth Bleaching
Patients today are in high demand for more than a healthy mouth and a perfect smile. Color and
esthetics of the teeth are important topics for patients, as they influence self esteem and professional
relationships. Tooth discoloration may cause cosmetic and social problems for the patient. Therefor
dentist and patients spend a large amount of money trying to improve the appearance of teeth. Tooth
bleaching has become a very popular and common method for whitening discolored teeth in modern
esthetic dentistry. Tooth bleaching refers to any procedure that does not use restorative materials and
that changes the color and appearance of teeth that were discolored do to intrinsic and extrinsic
staining (Karadas and Hatipoglu 2015). There are three ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Listerine Whitening and Plax Whitening could not match the results of supervised home
bleaching methods, such as 10% Carbamide peroxide Whitening gel. This factor could be caused by
the fact that Whitening mouth rinses contain a lower percentage of hydrogen peroxide. Listerine
Whitening contains 2% of hydrogen peroxide and Plax Whitening contains 1.5%. Additionally, how
acidic the mouth rise is can determine the whitening effect of the mouthwash. If the mouthwash is to
acidic it can cause the shade of the teeth to become darker over time. Another factor that researchers
has stated that can affect the whitening effect of whitening mouthwashes is the exposure time. The use
of Whitening mouth rinses is recent and few studies on this topic are available (Oliveira et al., 2017).
Additionally, manufactures conduct their own evaluations or fund researchers to test their product.
Thus, there is no need to conduct independent studies using commercially available products to learn
the action and possible side effects of mouth rinses and other over the counter bleaching products
(Lima et al., 2012). More clinical trials are needed so that researchers can ensure the effectiveness of
whitening mouth rinses, and determine the best protocol to use

Biofeedback Training Case Study
As expected, the intervention group has obtained less SCL result than the control group in week 10.
Similarly, the intervention group has obtained less DASS 21 score than the control group in week 10.
Evidence revealed that the participants in intervention group have lesser anxiety level after receiving
biofeedback training. However, DASS 21 score has reported significantly higher between week 1 and
10 for the two groups. This result was contradictory compared to most researchers who have claimed
that biofeedback training could lessen anxiety level (Peter Pbert, 1992; Rice Blanchard, 1982; Brauer,
2008). It is believed that the significant difference is due to the limitation of biofeedback training.

Assignment One International Treaties
HONOR AFFIRMATION: I hereby affirm that I have not received assistance from any person or other
information source during this assignment, except for those sources expressly permitted by the
instructor or the course professor.
Question 1: Has Afghanistan announced any reservation in regard to any international treaty? If yes,
please give one example. You should name the treaty, explain the relevant article and write down
reservation of Afghanistan. (3 points)
Afghanistan has ratified international Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial
Discrimination on 6 July 1983. This convention was adopted by the General Assembly of the United
Nations in resolution 2106 of 21 December 1965. While ratification of this convention Afghanistan
reserved the right to be bound by provisions of article 22 of the convention. According to article 22, if
there was any disagreement between two or more state parties to the convention regarding
implementation and interpretation of this convention then the matter can be referred to the
international court of justice by the request of only one side. However, Afghanistan reserved to be
bound by that article and stated that in case of disagreement among the state parties of the convention
on the interpretation and implementation of the convention, the matter will be referred to the
international court of justice only if all of the concerned parties agree with this procedure. So it

Dependable Tray Truck Research Paper
Growing up in a family that runs a construction supplies store, I completely understand how important
it is to invest in a dependable tray truck. Essentially, having the right rig in your business will make it
easier for you to ship your building materials, such as cement, sand, glass fibers, and wood, to your
customers location safely and on time. Now, if you re currently in the hunt for a tray truck to add to
your operations, I know a couple of models that you can look into. I will share them all with you,
starting with my most favored: the Hino Dutro 616. Impressively, this Hino working dog is one of the
trucks that has received several good feedback from operators. Let s figure out why by getting into its
features and capabilities below. Hino Dutro 616 Tray Truck: Key Features Reliable My family actually
had the chance to work with the Hino Dutro 616 before, and all I can say is that it is truly a reliable
tray truck. What powers it is a 4.0 litre intercooled turbo diesel engine that can produce up to 150
horsepower. It also integrates a 5 speed manual transmission that makes the rig easy to maneuver and
drive around town. Robust body Apart from the excellent power, the Dutro 616 boasts its robust body
as well. Measuring 4,530 mm long and 2,300 mm wide, its steel tray body is ROPS certified and can

If you will ask me, what I like about it is its dependability. For such a light duty tray truck, it still has
the strength to carry your building materials and deliver them to your customers locations safely and
on time. Another thing that I like about it is the fact that it is budget friendly. Imagine, for only around
$26,355 AUD, you can already have a ergonomically designed rig that can serve as your partner on
the highway. Summing up, this Dutro 616 is a smart pick and a vehicle that is worthy of your

Theme Of Pullman In Northern Lights
In Addition, Pullman s hate to the Church. Pullman always attacks churches and priesthoods, the
trouble is that all too often in human history, churches and priesthoods have set themselves up to rule
people s lives in the name of some invisible god (and they re all invisible, because they don t exist)
and done terrible damage. In the name of their god, they have burned, hanged, tortured, maimed,
robbed, violated, and enslaved millions of their fellow creatures, and done so with the happy
conviction that they were doing the will of god, and they would go to Heaven for it. That is the
religion I hate, and I m happy to knowns as its enemy . Pullman make the reader ask magnificent
questions, like questions about universe and how the universe was made, makes the Catholic Church
accused Pullman s writings as anti Christian and accused him of promoting a vision of the world
which leaves no room for hope. Even he has anti Christian ideologies and thoughts, however, there are
some critics who see him as less atheistic: Indifference is certainly a ... Show more content on

Pullman displays his enmity for the religion and Church through the novel, and portrayed in the
Church authority over society (the general oblation board). Pullman also displays his ideologies in
Lyra, she is disobedience, tomboy, curious, and what to know everything. His ideologies about Eve
and Adam s disobedience and how he identifies this as freedom, also Pullman identify the original sin
as self improvement, independent individual, and freedom. All these themes make the readers gain
power. Pullman s novels His Dark Materials is crossover novel, that read by children as well as adults.
This means to me that we must tell stories to present those worlds and challenges meaning, which is

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death
In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is
separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death;
despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death
in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and
other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book,
during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking
about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that
someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the
concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate;
people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew
apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange,
that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an
embrace in it. Then, could it be that because Clarissa has been separated from ... Show more content

of her life playing a role and never actually allow herself to be of her true nature. From what Clarissa
has told us through her many flashbacks, she gives off a sense off being constrained and not being

Evaluation Of Using A Protocol Adoption Of A Bundle Care...
A timeframe of about 6 month test of pilot will be completed to test the feasibility and efficacy of a
protocol adoption of a bundle care for the prevention of ventilator associated pneumonia. The VAP
bundle protocol guidelines will be used to determine quality management and reflective data audit for
all patients admitted in the intensive care unit with mechanical intubation within this 6 month trial
period. Evaluation is a systematic way of checking a project s information on the activities, and
characteristics in order to make a judgement of the project. Evaluation can help to give
recommendations to the project and improve by adapting the recommendations and improve future
projects. Evaluation gives managers considerable evidence to support the decision process with the
well documented analysis. Described methods used to evaluate effectiveness of proposed solution. In
order to attain excellence in patient care, latest evidence to support care is necessary, and the outcomes
of the care in nursing should show aspects of the process change (Frisch Kelley, 2002). The purpose of
an evaluation is to see if there is compliance with the intended change and measure the impact of the
process change. When doing evaluation it is important to engage the key stakeholders in the process.
In addition, working with the stakeholders to ensure that the training objectives align with the business

Moses the Leader
Moses was a leader of the Hebrews and probably the most important figure in Judaism. He led the
Hebrew people out of Egypt and into the Promise Land. His story is told in the book of Exodus, and
begins when he was first born during the time that the pharaoh of Egypt declared that all male Hebrew
babies were to be drowned at birth. Moses mother Yocheved, hid Moses and placed him in a basket in
the reeds of the Nile River, where he was then found by the pharaoh s daughter, who kept Moses and
raised him as her own. In the story of Moses, he grows up and stumbles upon an Egyptian beating a
Hebrew slave. Out of anger Moses murders the Egyptian, and flees to Midian to escape his crime

Moses was a humble man, but God sees that he is mightier than Moses sees himself. When God tells
him that he must lead the Jews out of Egypt, he grows fearful and unworthy of such a task. Moses
humility toward God is what makes him capable of such a tremendous mission. Although, he would
have much rather not lead the Jews out of Egypt because he is afraid and does not have faith in
himself, however, he is able to do it because God has told him to and God would not ask him to do so
if it was impossible. Moses successfully leads the Hebrews out of Egypt. Moses was capable of
freeing the Jews of slavery with a quality of humility (No Title, 1986). Being a leader is very
important when it comes to being successful. Like Moses, who was a natural born leader, it is
necessary for a President to be a leader. A President must possess certain qualities to make certain that
he will be successful in office. Leadership is a key attribute in order to be able to direct and be
followed by others. Any President would be grateful to have all the leadership qualities that Moses
had. Moses was loyal and faithful, to his belief in God. Despite his inner doubts, he believed that God
had chosen him to lead the Hebrews out of slavery and into the Promise Land. His faith kept him
motivated to persevere. Perseverance is another

Tax Evasion And Tax Avoidance
1.0 Introduction and Purpose of the Research
Over the years, the government has tried to combat tax avoidance and tax evasion schemes through
various approaches such as improvements to existing legislations, strict enforcements and
collaborations with international counterparts. This is done in effort of protecting the government s
main source of revenue and the integrity of the tax system. However, clear and distinctive boundaries
between tax evasion, avoidance and planning were never established in the legislation, hence, it has
caused many uncertainties. In Australia, the Court provides the judicial interpretation as to the
application of the tax law.

2.0 Concepts and Impacts of Tax Evasion, Tax Avoidance and Tax Planning
2.1 Tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning
Distinctions between tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning are sometimes difficult to be drawn
in clear and precise manners. In general, however, tax evasion typically relates to illegal practices
done intentionally to avoid tax payment, whereas tax avoidance refers to legal exploitations on the
shortcomings of the tax legislations (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; Leow, Murphy Hooper 2010, p. 1026).
Generally, tax evasion involves concealment of tax liabilities, such as failure to disclose all taxable
income earned, and improper claims, such as deductions for expenses not incurred (Barkoczy 2015, p.
721; ATO 2015a). Due to its legal implications, tax evasion is considered as criminal offence and
attracts pecuniary penalties and jail terms for the offenders (Barkoczy 2015, p. 722). Conversely, tax
avoidance, although uncommendable, is not illegal. Tax avoidance typically involves taking advantage
of concessional tax rates, shifting funds through several entities to minimize tax payable (ATO
2015b), and exploiting tax breaks (ACTU 2011). Some examples of tax evasion and avoidance
practices can be seen from the following figure.
Figure 1 Source: GIZ 2010, p. 19
Unlike tax avoidance which tends to bypass the spirit of tax law (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721), tax planning
is a legitimate way of minimizing tax liabilities, if done in

Diabetes Mellitus ( Dm ) Is A Metabolic Disorder Caused By...
Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder caused by pancreatic dysfunction resulting in absence
or insufficient insulin secretion. Different categories of DM are as follows; type 1 DM, type 2 DM,
other specific type and gestational DM (GDM) (Huether McCance 2012). Type 1 DM is caused by
autoimmune where there is no insulin production, type 2 DM happens later in life due to insulin
resistance from obesity, low level of HDL(good cholesterol), or polycystic ovary disease (Blair, 2016).
Other specific types could be idiopathic, and lastly GDM which is seen only during pregnancy due to
increased pregnancy hormone. Diabetes Insipidus (DI) is caused by vasopressin (antidiuretic hormone
(ADH) deficiency resulting in disorder of water metabolism. Hypotonic polyuria, increased thirst and
excessive fluid intake is common with DI. In addition, DI has four classification; namely neurogenic,
nephrogenic, gestagenic, and dipsogenic types (Walsh March, 2016). Pathophysiology of Diabetes
Mellitus
Type 1 DM is caused by autoimmune disorder where the T cell mediated disease damage the
pancreatic beta cell (Huether McCance, 2012). At the onset of the disease process, lymphocytic
infiltrates of macrophage activating CD4+ cells with cytokine secreting, cytotoxic CD8+cells
surround the necrotic B cells (McPhee Hammer, 2010) (p.507). This is a gradual process that happens
over several years. However, the production of glucagon increases due to the damage to the beta cells

Symptoms And Treatment Of Pain Management
Introduction
In the United States, pain is the most common reason for patients to seek medical attention. According
to an Institute of Medicine report in 2011, at least 116 million people in the United States suffer from
acute and chronic pain every year, including up to 80% of the elderly population, affecting more
American adults than heart disease, diabetes, and cancer combined.1 The national annual economic
cost associated with chronic pain is estimated to be $560 635 billion (or $2000 for each American),
spent on medical treatment ($260 300b) and in lost productivity ($297 336b). In 2008, 14% of all

prices climbed higher. Truthfully, I was shocked by the amount of people who did not care that they

Banned Books In John Steinbeck s The Grapes Of Wrath
In America, the country that has always been known for success and dreams coming true, once failed
to meet up to its own expectation. This kind of political view, along with many other subjects in books
such as vulgar language and sexual content, have been challenged so that only certain people could
read about them or banned to be taken away from all public in an area. These could be done ...for all
sorts of reasons...to suppress anything that conflicts with or anyone who disagrees with their own

significant ban on this book happened in Kern County, California which is where in the book marked
the ending of the Joad family s journey. The county banned the book because they felt that Steinbeck
was depicting the area unfairly by not giving any credit for the effort they were making to help the

Depression through Oklahoma on the same road the Joad family in the book took to California. Based
off of this he wrote The Grapes of Wrath. And this trip was fool proofed when Last fall, the California

An Absolute Athenian Tragedy Analysis
An absolute Athenian tragedy. The Sicilian Expedition of 413 415 BC was a decision that ultimately
lead to the complete exhaustion of Athenian manpower, navy, and crucial resources. This decimation
weakened the confidence of not only the Athenians, but of their allies as well. Within the long and
tiring story of the Peloponnesian War, it is the Sicilian Expedition in which leadership stands as a vital
factor in the end result. Besides the Athenians, Spartans did their job along side the Syracusans to
excel in this historic battle. The well regarded Spartan leader Gylippus was able to execute on his part
given the poor decision made my Athens to invade Sicily as well as its richest city, Syracuse.Varying

You see, a huge factor rises in the end of this predicament. The advance of the Roman empire, along
with the fate of the Western World, were essentially saved by the destruction of the Athenians at the
island of Sicily. I firmly claim this because if the expedition were to result positively for the
Athenians, themselves and all of Greece would have landed on a a goldmine in regards to fertile land
which is Sicily. All of Italy and beyond would have been under the heel of Greece and not of Rome.
For the lands such as North Africa, Iberia, and Gaul conquered by the Romans could potentially have
been done by Greeks. The influential defeat at Syracuse ended the great empire known as Greece and
history was shifted for the ages. After that battle, the Peloponnesian war would go on for another ten
years. From that point forward, Greece was mismanaged and misguided by many men who made
attempt to lead. Allies across Greece separated and the democracy in which this empire stood would
crumble and fall victim to an oligarchy. The Athenian expedition in Sicily exemplified Athens as a
tyrant looking to crush the allied thoughts that dared to stand against it. On a final note the expeditions
greatest journalist, Thucydides, explains the extent of the reckoning. He states, This was the greatest
Hellenic action that took place during this war, and, in my opinion, the greatest action that we know of

Evil Characters In William Golding s Lord Of The Flies
Siddhārtha Gautama, a man who founded the basis for a religion with 500 million faithful followers,
postulated that It is a man s own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways. Gautama
describes that one s flawed decisions are not influenced by his enemies, and one s final decision is his
to make alone, not to be affected by others. This is illustrated by the actions of the main figures in
Lord of the Flies. The characters in the novel are British schoolboys under the age of twelve, yet on
multiple accounts it is demonstrated how violent the youngsters can be. The narrative is an ongoing
struggle between the juveniles and their own thoughts, which they refer to as the Beast. They refuse to
accept that the Beast is in their minds, so they portray it as a monster which lurks during nighttime.
The boys whose minds develop negatively create a civilization where brutality is emboldened, while
the few that resist the temptation to become hateful are loathed and killed by the others. In Lord of the
Flies by William Golding the literary element characterization depicts how loneliness can adversely
affect the sanity and mind of an individual.
When one is separated from societal order, their darker thoughts will then begin to bloom and their
behavior will become more aggressive. Near the beginning of the novel, Roger is described as a boy
who ...kept to himself within an inner intensity of avoidance and secrecy (Golding 16). This quotes

J Adams s Theory Of Prostate Cancer
In 1853, J. Adams, a surgeon at The London Hospital, documented the first case of prostate cancer.
This was discovered by a histological examination. He documented in his report that this condition
was a very rare disease. (Adams, 1853) At that time it was not clear to track the trend of prostate
cancer as it now poses as a significant health problem. In the United States, it is the most commonly
diagnosed cancer in men, with 180,000 new cases and about 31,000 deaths occurring annually.
(Greenlee, Hill Harmon, Murray, T. Thun, M, 2001) This number has been an increase due to three
different causes. The first is that prostate cancer did not become differentiated from other types of
urinary obstruction until the early 1900s. The next cause ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Rhetorical Strategies In Abigail Adams Letter To John...
Abigail Adams evidently uses rhetorical strategies in a letter to advise her teenage son, John Quincy
Adams, during a voyage to France with his father and his brother. The three of them embarked on this
journey during the Revolutionary War to take care of diplomatic affairs between America and France,
however, J.Q. Adams was reluctant to attend. A. Adams writes a letter to reach out to her son and to
offer her motherly advice. It is clear that she ultimately wishes for her son to embrace the opportunity
he has been given and to expose himself to new situations. The rhetorical strategies A. Adams utilizes
to advise her son include tone, comparison, and personification all of which effectively contribute to

While it is certainly natural for a mother to have a gentle manner towards her child, it is rather
impossible for her compassion throughout the letter to go unnoticed. The first issue A. Adams clarifies
was that if she had thought his apprehensions were supported with proper judgment, she would not
have urged him to join. She seeks to reassure her son that he possesses all of the superior advantages
necessary to succeed and that nature has not been deficient. By offering a sense of comfort, A. Adams
calms her son so that he will put aside his worries and listen to her. Granted, she knows her son is still
young and that it will take years before he finds his understanding opening and daily improving.
Nevertheless, A. Adams attempts to elaborate on her underlying message that it is crucial for a young
man to step out of his comfort zone and to expose himself to unfamiliar experiences. She hopes to
motivate her son to see the benefits of the journey by ensuring that wisdom and penetration are the
fruit of the experience, not the lessons of retirement and leisure. A. Adams offers this piece of advice
to remind her son that he will only obtain wisdom through firsthand lessons. Her benevolent, motherly
tone ultimately serves to convince her son that she is on his side and that she firmly believes he made

Essay on causes of french revoultionary war
The causes of the French Revolution, the uprising which brought the regime of King Louis XVI to an
end, were manifold. France in 1789 was one of the richest and most powerful nations in Europe; only
in Great Britain and the Netherlands did the common people have more freedom and less chance of
arbitrary punishment. Nevertheless, the ancien régime was brought down, partly by its own rigidity in
the face of a changing world, partly by the ambitions of a rising bourgeoisie, allied with aggrieved
peasants and wage earners and with individuals of all classes who were influenced by the ideas of the
Enlightenment. As the revolution proceeded and as power devolved from the monarchy to legislative

The proletariat and the non bourgeois strata of the middle class had either not yet evolved interests
which were different from those of the bourgeoisie or they did not yet constitute independent classes
or class divisions. Therefore, where they opposed the bourgeoisie, as they did in France in 1793 and
1794, [that is to say, during the Reign of Terror] they fought only for the attainment of the aims of the
bourgeoisie, albeit in a non bourgeois manner. The entire French terrorism was just a plebeian way of
dealing with the enemies of the bourgeoisie: absolutism, feudalism and philistinism. [1]

Debt
Since 1614, the French monarchy had operated without resort to a legislature. Kings had managed
their fiscal affairs by increasing the burden of the ancient and unequal system of taxes, by borrowing
money, and sometimes by selling noble titles and other privileges; however, because noble titles
exempted the holder from future taxes, the purchasers of titles were effectively buying an annuity.
This led to the long running fiscal crisis of the French government. On the eve of the revolution,
France was deeply indebted, so deeply as to be effectively bankrupt. Extravagant expenditures by
Louis XIV on luxuries such as Versailles were compounded by heavy expenditures on the Seven Years

Ruling Into The Experience Machine
When first asked about whether or not I would get in the experience machine, I was confused and torn
between the two choices. On one hand, I could plug into the machine and go through whatever
experience I wanted and simply live it out in the machine. This is extremely tempting due to the
absence of responsibility what person wouldn t want to go at least 2 years without having to worry
about any job, school, or other duties to stress them out? It is also tempting because of the opportunity
to be able to experience many things that probably would not be possible in the real world for the
common person (like me). Imagine being able to experience and have the memory of an exciting and

such as; different personality issue, different point of views or some people just don t get along which
leads to dysfunctional conflict (Huczynski Buchanan, 2007), this can of course affect the productivity
of a team or individual. I now realised that we all focused on everyone s feelings of how fairly they
were treated (Adams Equity theory) within the team. It is necessary, I believe, to make everyone
treated equally, respected and to feel part of the team because in my opinion that makes a strong
relationship between the team members and it avoids conflicts. Overall if I reflect back on our group
work I believe we worked very well as a team and my contribution to the group was significantly high

The Importance Of Whaling
Aboriginal peoples have been whaling as a tradition for thousands of years with it being a significant
part of their culture. They have depended on whales for food, clothing and other handicrafts. Whaling
was key to survival and the Natives have honored the sacrifice of each whale through spiritual rituals
and ceremonies. It gives them a purpose and discipline which benefits their whole community. This
has not been a problem for many centuries, only recently have animal activists been trying to stop the
hunting of whales. The Makah people have been the main subjects to the opposition of whaling on the
basis that it is unnecessary for their culture or their survival. This has been an ongoing issue since
1999, when they harvested their first whale in 70 years. The violent backlash received has prevented
them from gaining permission to hunt after that which led to the illegal killing of a whale in 2007. To
present day, the Makah has gotten many undeserved death threats and bomb threats to schools. Many
complaints have been made that the hunting method differs from how it was done traditionally so the
hunting cannot be considered as one of their cultural practices. By denying the Makah cultural rights,
this controversy could lead to cultural genocide. The Makah people should be allowed to harvest a
total of 24 whales in 6 year period with two hunting seasons of 3 weeks each because it is the main
factor in preserving their culture, it will not cause the gray whale population to

The Similarities Of The Hagia Sophia And The Pantheon
While the Hagia Sophia and the Pantheon were built in and represent two different time periods and
locations, they have some similar structural features as well as some resembling circumstances
surrounding their prospective histories. Both of their unique construction is related to their different
purposes and the symbolism behind the buildings. The Pantheon represents a time in which the
Roman empire was booming with trade and commerce. There was a growing interest in art and
sculpture as well as religion. There was also an emphasis on imperialism and the strength and power
of the emperor. The transition from the Roman to the Byzantine empire took place under the emperor,
Constantine and it happened around 330 C.E. He moved the capital from Rome to Byzantion and
renamed the city Constantinople meaning the city of Constantine, which is modern day Istanbul. This
was also a huge intersection in the east west trade. He then changed the official religion of the empire
to Christianity which created a major shift in structures, works of art, and lifestyle dynamics. The
emperor was now seen as the head of the church, and in 391 C.E. all temples and forms of the pagan
cult that dominated the Roman Empire were closed and banned.
The structural similarity between the two buildings is the large domes, which are vital point of their
construction. The materials used in the concrete of the dome also varies. At its thickest point, the
aggregate is travertine, then terracotta tiles, then at the very top, tufa and pumice, both porous light
stones. At the very top, where the dome would be at its weakest and vulnerable to collapse, the oculus
lightens the load. Hagia Sophia is an innovative hybrid of longitudinal and central architectural
planning. The building is clearly dominated by the hovering form of its gigantic dome. Its
idiosyncratic mixture of basilica and rotunda precludes a ring of masonry underneath the dome to
provide support around its circumference, the main dome of Hagia Sophia rests instead on four
pendentives that connect the base of the dome with the huge supporting piers at the four corners of the
square area beneath it. The origin of the dome on pendentive is obscure, but its large scale use at

What Is Kant s Categorical Imperative
In order to evaluate whether one s actions are moral, we use many moral dilemmas. One of them is
Kant s categorical imperative. This essay presents Kant s project of categorical imperative. Then, I
will explain that rulers should appeal to Kant s categorical imperative when making foreign policy
decision. In order to support my point of view, I will give importance to the reasons of why rulers
appeal to categorical imperative when making foreign policy, so I have two reasons for this. One of
them is that states depend on each other in economically and politically. Thus, in order to provide this
stability which means that continue to stay among other states, states should act through the principles

In order to explain the first reason of why rulers should appeal to categorical imperative when making
foreign policy decisions, we can think about the growing trade between the states. States become more
interdependent when trades among various states expand. Interdependence is not only important
economically but also politically because all economic or business activity depends on political
positions of the states. When states trade between each other, they become mutually dependent on
each other s political advantages. Also, world markets are influenced by politics and state s power in
the world markets depends on its foreign policy. So, states should establish good relations with other
states. For this reason, when making foreign policy decisions, ruler should appeal to categorical
imperative. Firstly, rulers actions must be universally valid. If state s foreign decisions are internally
valid, then state cannot benefit from this politically and economically. For example, if the state decide
to change the price of its export goods up without approval of other states, then states could not sell its
goods whose price increase, because other states want to buy the same goods from another country
whose price is cheaper. Second point is that if state s intention is bad and this kind of intention is
understood by other states, this state is reproached by other states, which have a relation with this
state. As a result of

The play Lincoln was attending was Our American Cousin Starring Laura Keene.(Michael Burgan) He
thought since the amount of work he did he deserved a break and attended the play. Lincoln didn t
mind slavery he just didn t want it. Lincoln knew after Lee surrendered, there was still a lot to do.(
Michael Burgan)
Booth was born in 1838. Booth heard about Lincoln attending the play and knew it was his chance.
Booths original plan was just to kidnap Lincoln and trade him for prisoners of the war. Booth got his
people helping with the assassination together and talked about their jobs. Each person had a job to go
through with.(Paul Angle). George Atzerodt was supposed to kill vice president Andrew Johnson, but

Protien Molecules Research Paper
The production of protien molecules happends in two stages, transcription and translation.
Transciption takes place in the nucleus. First, DNA in the nucleus, its double stranded in eukaryote
cells. DNA molecule unfolds forming two templates of DNA. RNA polymerase attaches itself to a
template of DNA and synthesizes mRNA. DNA contains the cistrons/genes which code for specific
polypeptides. The part of the strand that forms the cistron is called the transcribing strand. It acts as a
template and is transcribed to mRNA. The complementary strand which does not carry the cistron is
called the non transcribing strand. An enzyme RNA polymerase attaches itself to the promoter site
next to the cistron on the DNA and initiates transcription. The enzymes ... Show more content on

During the process of transcription, an enzyme called RNA polymerase binds to DNA at a gene s
promoter, then begins unwinding the DNA and making a complementary strand of RNA from the
exposed DNA template. Depending on the gene being transcribed, the result can be a molecule of
mRNA (messenger RNA), tRNA (transfer RNA), or rRNA (ribosomal RNA). Each type of RNA
performs a specific function later in translation. Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) along with ribosomal
proteins make up ribosomes, the workbenches on which polypeptides (proteins) are synthesized. It
turns out that it is actually rRNA, and not a protein, in the large subunit of the ribosome that performs
the peptidyl transferase function of linking amino acids together via peptide bonds. In eukaryotes, the
genes coding for rRNAs are located in the nucleolus of the nucleus. A ribosome has 3 binding sites: an
A (aminoacyl) site, a P (peptidyl) site, and an E (exit) site. The message carrying the information
needed to make a particular polypeptide exists in the mRNA molecule. It binds with a ribosome and
the ribosome starts reading it one codon 3 consecutive mRNA bases at a

The New Destination Of Las Vegas
Since you hotel s your playground, where you stay can make a big difference to your experience of
Las Vegas. Here s how to find the hotel of your dreams.
For the first time in years, the number of guest rooms in Las Vegas will grow only slightly in 2001 by
3,000, pushing the total to about 127,000. This modest 2.5 per cent increase from two years ago is in
stark contrast to the extraordinary growth rate of the late 1990s, when the Strip provided fertile ground
for a bumper crop of ever more elaborate hotel casinos, culminating in the arrival of the Aladdin in
summer 2000.
This latest wave of construction, and the numerous expansions and renovations of existing resorts,
have each been characterised by two key features: hotel casinos ... Show more content on

Where to stay
If you want to stay on the Strip, remember it s a 32 mile (5.6 kilometre) hike from one end to the
other. You could spend a lot of time tramping from casino to casino, so consider whether you want to
be based at the north, centre or south. The more recent mega resorts are the most attractive places to
stay, but there are also older properties that retain a charm that hints of old Vegas. The cluster of
Downtown casino hotels do a good job with accommodation, although their dining options are more
limited than those on the Strip, and non gambling entertainment is practically non existent.
Of course, you don t have to stay in a casino. Off the Strip, in the area surrounding the Convention
Center, rooms are aimed at the business traveller and are generally unencumbered by noisy casinos,
while out of town, the Regent in Summerlin and the Hyatt at Lake Las Vegas cater for visitors who
want to combine casino luxury with easy access to the golf course. Casino rooms offer such good
value that the budget accommodation sector is relatively small. In addition to the hostel on page 62,
there are any number of fading 1950s motels cluttering up the more unfashionable stretches of Las
Vegas Boulevard; their modern counterparts, the chain cheapies, can be found all over town.
What to expect
Because the majority of casinos continue to use amusement as a means of inducing people into their

  • 2. The Crucible Act 2 Analysis The stage lights illuminate Shylock s home, initiating Act 2 scene 5. Shylock is seated on a couch tying a black tie around his neck. Lancelot is standing nearby. The opening line of the scene is spoken by Shylock as he straightens his tie. He speaks, Well, thou shalt see, thy eyes shall be thy judge, The difference of old Shylock and Bassanio with resentment (2.5.1 2). Shylock should pause after each marked comma and hold a scowling facial expression. He should not be looking directly at Lancelot. After deciding that his tie is good enough, Shylock should stand as he calls out, What, Jessica! (2.4.3). Shylock should then hesitate before continuing, as if waiting to see if Jessica will respond. • 3. How Did George Martin Become The Fifth Beatle The Beatles were one of the most popular and influential music groups of the 1960s. The Beatles have an estimated eight hundred million records sold worldwide and popular even to this day. How is it that The Beatles were able to craft and compose music that was applicable to everyone? Of course, every great musician has a producer who helps translate the musician s ideas into feasible possibilities. Everyone knows of the Fab Four as Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, but an argument could be made that there was a fifth Beatle . That man was Beatles producer and arranger George Martin. George Martin was born January third, nineteen twenty six. He died March eighth, twenty sixteen. While the main lineup of the Beatles only went through one change in its history, that being replacing initial drummer Pete Best with Ringo Starr, George Martin was the main producer and arranger for the Beatles the whole time that they were signed up until Abbey Road. At the time that Martin met the Beatles, they had a slight following in England, but no luck landing a record deal. Martin listened to the original Beatles demo tape and saw potential in the group especially McCartney and Lennon s vocals. It was then that Martin offered the Beatles a recording contract and the rest is history. How did George Martin then become the fifth Beatle ? That question will be a reoccurring one as we examine how Martin s influence and final touches made some Beatles songs shine and others explode as number one hits. What was it that George Martin brought to the table? While for one, Martin had experience working on comedy recordings and that gave Martin a sense of experimentation. Martin also had a classical background which allowed him to take his experimental ideas and put them into motion musically. Martin is quoted as saying, When I first started in the music business, the ultimate aim was to try and re create, on record, a live performance as accurately as possible, which was true. However, Martin saw that with a willingness to experiment (which he had) new music could be made unlike any heard before. Martin s handprints can be found all over the Beatles catalogue and his suggestions transformed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Cholera Is On The Rise With An Population Cholera is on the rise with an estimated 1.4 billion people at risk in endemic countries and an estimated 3 million to 5 million cases and 100,000 120,000 deaths per year worldwide. In many endemic countries, children under 5 account for more than half of the global incidence and deaths. Cholera has remained endemic in some Asian countries for centuries, has become endemic in an increasing number of African countries with epidemics throughout the years, and has recently returned to the Americas with on going transmission in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. New, more virulent and drug resistant strains of Vibrio cholerae continue to emerge, and the frequency of large protracted outbreaks with high case fatality ratios has increased, reflecting the lack of early detection, prevention and access to timely health care. Vibrio cholerae, a member of the family Vibrionaceae, is a facultatively anaerobic, Gram negative, non spore forming curved rod, about 1.4 2.6mm long, capable of respiratory and fermentative metabolism; it is well defined on the basis of biochemical tests and DNA homology studies . The bacterium is oxidase positive, reduces nitrate, and is motile by means of a single, sheathed, polar flagellum. Growth of V. cholerae is stimulated by addition of 1% sodium chloride (NaCl). However, an important distinction from other Vibrio spp is the ability of V. cholerae to grow in nutrient broth without added NaCl. In the scientific classification established by Carl von ... Color and esthetics of the teeth are important topics for patients, as they influence self esteem and professional relationships. There are three ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, Listerine Whitening and Plax Whitening could not match the results of supervised home bleaching methods, such as 10% Carbamide peroxide Whitening gel. This factor could be caused by the fact that Whitening mouth rinses contain a lower percentage of hydrogen peroxide. Listerine Whitening contains 2% of hydrogen peroxide and Plax Whitening contains 1.5%. Additionally, how acidic the mouth rise is can determine the whitening effect of the mouthwash. If the mouthwash is to acidic it can cause the shade of the teeth to become darker over time. Another factor that researchers has stated that can affect the whitening effect of whitening mouthwashes is the exposure time. The use of Whitening mouth rinses is recent and few studies on this topic are available (Oliveira et al., 2017). Additionally, manufactures conduct their own evaluations or fund researchers to test their product. Thus, there is no need to conduct independent studies using commercially available products to learn the action and possible side effects of mouth rinses and other over the counter bleaching products (Lima et al., 2012). More clinical trials are needed so that researchers can ensure the effectiveness of whitening mouth rinses, and determine the best protocol to use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an embrace in it. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 2.0 Concepts and Impacts of Tax Evasion, Tax Avoidance and Tax Planning 2.1 Tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning Distinctions between tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning are sometimes difficult to be drawn in clear and precise manners. In general, however, tax evasion typically relates to illegal practices done intentionally to avoid tax payment, whereas tax avoidance refers to legal exploitations on the shortcomings of the tax legislations (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; Leow, Murphy Hooper 2010, p. 1026). Generally, tax evasion involves concealment of tax liabilities, such as failure to disclose all taxable income earned, and improper claims, such as deductions for expenses not incurred (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; ATO 2015a). Due to its legal implications, tax evasion is considered as criminal offence and attracts pecuniary penalties and jail terms for the offenders (Barkoczy 2015, p. 722). Conversely, tax avoidance, although uncommendable, is not illegal. Tax avoidance typically involves taking advantage of concessional tax rates, shifting funds through several entities to minimize tax payable (ATO 2015b), and exploiting tax breaks (ACTU 2011). Some examples of tax evasion and avoidance practices can be seen from the following figure. Type 1 DM is caused by autoimmune where there is no insulin production, type 2 DM happens later in life due to insulin resistance from obesity, low level of HDL(good cholesterol), or polycystic ovary disease (Blair, 2016). Other specific types could be idiopathic, and lastly GDM which is seen only during pregnancy due to increased pregnancy hormone. The Sicilian Expedition of 413 415 BC was a decision that ultimately lead to the complete exhaustion of Athenian manpower, navy, and crucial resources. This decimation weakened the confidence of not only the Athenians, but of their allies as well. Within the long and tiring story of the Peloponnesian War, it is the Sicilian Expedition in which leadership stands as a vital factor in the end result. Besides the Athenians, Spartans did their job along side the Syracusans to excel in this historic battle. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... You see, a huge factor rises in the end of this predicament. The advance of the Roman empire, along with the fate of the Western World, were essentially saved by the destruction of the Athenians at the island of Sicily. I firmly claim this because if the expedition were to result positively for the Athenians, themselves and all of Greece would have landed on a a goldmine in regards to fertile land which is Sicily. All of Italy and beyond would have been under the heel of Greece and not of Rome. For the lands such as North Africa, Iberia, and Gaul conquered by the Romans could potentially have been done by Greeks. The influential defeat at Syracuse ended the great empire known as Greece and history was shifted for the ages. After that battle, the Peloponnesian war would go on for another ten years. From that point forward, Greece was mismanaged and misguided by many men who made attempt to lead. Allies across Greece separated and the democracy in which this empire stood would crumble and fall victim to an oligarchy. Evil Characters In William Golding s Lord Of The Flies Siddhārtha Gautama, a man who founded the basis for a religion with 500 million faithful followers, postulated that It is a man s own mind, not his enemy or foe, that lures him to evil ways. Gautama describes that one s flawed decisions are not influenced by his enemies, and one s final decision is his to make alone, not to be affected by others. This is illustrated by the actions of the main figures in Lord of the Flies. The characters in the novel are British schoolboys under the age of twelve, yet on multiple accounts it is demonstrated how violent the youngsters can be. The narrative is an ongoing struggle between the juveniles and their own thoughts, which they refer to as the Beast. They refuse to accept that the Beast is in their minds, so they portray it as a monster which lurks during nighttime. The boys whose minds develop negatively create a civilization where brutality is emboldened, while the few that resist the temptation to become hateful are loathed and killed by the others. In Lord of the Flies by William Golding the literary element characterization depicts how loneliness can adversely affect the sanity and mind of an individual. When one is separated from societal order, their darker thoughts will then begin to bloom and their behavior will become more aggressive. Nevertheless, the ancien rĂ©gime was brought down, partly by its own rigidity in the face of a changing world, partly by the ambitions of a rising bourgeoisie, allied with aggrieved peasants and wage earners and with individuals of all classes who were influenced by the ideas of the Enlightenment. Kings had managed their fiscal affairs by increasing the burden of the ancient and unequal system of taxes, by borrowing money, and sometimes by selling noble titles and other privileges; however, because noble titles exempted the holder from future taxes, the purchasers of titles were effectively buying an annuity. • 34. The Similarities Of The Hagia Sophia And The Pantheon While the Hagia Sophia and the Pantheon were built in and represent two different time periods and locations, they have some similar structural features as well as some resembling circumstances surrounding their prospective histories. Both of their unique construction is related to their different purposes and the symbolism behind the buildings. The Pantheon represents a time in which the Roman empire was booming with trade and commerce. There was a growing interest in art and sculpture as well as religion. There was also an emphasis on imperialism and the strength and power of the emperor. The transition from the Roman to the Byzantine empire took place under the emperor, Constantine and it happened around 330 C.E. He moved the capital from Rome to Byzantion and renamed the city Constantinople meaning the city of Constantine, which is modern day Istanbul. This was also a huge intersection in the east west trade. He then changed the official religion of the empire to Christianity which created a major shift in structures, works of art, and lifestyle dynamics. The emperor was now seen as the head of the church, and in 391 C.E. all temples and forms of the pagan cult that dominated the Roman Empire were closed and banned. The structural similarity between the two buildings is the large domes, which are vital point of their construction. The materials used in the concrete of the dome also varies. At its thickest point, the aggregate is travertine, then terracotta tiles, then at the very top, tufa and pumice, both porous light stones. At the very top, where the dome would be at its weakest and vulnerable to collapse, the oculus lightens the load. Hagia Sophia is an innovative hybrid of longitudinal and central architectural planning. The building is clearly dominated by the hovering form of its gigantic dome. Its idiosyncratic mixture of basilica and rotunda precludes a ring of masonry underneath the dome to provide support around its circumference, the main dome of Hagia Sophia rests instead on four pendentives that connect the base of the dome with the huge supporting piers at the four corners of the square area beneath it. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In order to explain the first reason of why rulers should appeal to categorical imperative when making foreign policy decisions, we can think about the growing trade between the states. States become more interdependent when trades among various states expand. Interdependence is not only important economically but also politically because all economic or business activity depends on political positions of the states. When states trade between each other, they become mutually dependent on each other s political advantages. Also, world markets are influenced by politics and state s power in the world markets depends on its foreign policy. So, states should establish good relations with other states. For this reason, when making foreign policy decisions, ruler should appeal to categorical imperative. Firstly, rulers actions must be universally valid. If state s foreign decisions are internally valid, then state cannot benefit from this politically and economically. For example, if the state decide to change the price of its export goods up without approval of other states, then states could not sell its goods whose price increase, because other states want to buy the same goods from another country whose price is cheaper. Second point is that if state s intention is bad and this kind of intention is understood by other states, this state is reproached by other states, which have a relation with this state. The play Lincoln was attending was Our American Cousin Starring Laura Keene.(Michael Burgan) He thought since the amount of work he did he deserved a break and attended the play. Lincoln didn t mind slavery he just didn t want it. Lincoln knew after Lee surrendered, there was still a lot to do.( Michael Burgan) Booth was born in 1838. Booth heard about Lincoln attending the play and knew it was his chance. Booths original plan was just to kidnap Lincoln and trade him for prisoners of the war. • 41. Protien Molecules Research Paper The production of protien molecules happends in two stages, transcription and translation. Transciption takes place in the nucleus. First, DNA in the nucleus, its double stranded in eukaryote cells. DNA molecule unfolds forming two templates of DNA. RNA polymerase attaches itself to a template of DNA and synthesizes mRNA. DNA contains the cistrons/genes which code for specific polypeptides. The part of the strand that forms the cistron is called the transcribing strand. It acts as a template and is transcribed to mRNA. The complementary strand which does not carry the cistron is called the non transcribing strand. An enzyme RNA polymerase attaches itself to the promoter site next to the cistron on the DNA and initiates transcription. The enzymes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the process of transcription, an enzyme called RNA polymerase binds to DNA at a gene s promoter, then begins unwinding the DNA and making a complementary strand of RNA from the exposed DNA template. Depending on the gene being transcribed, the result can be a molecule of mRNA (messenger RNA), tRNA (transfer RNA), or rRNA (ribosomal RNA). Each type of RNA performs a specific function later in translation. Ribosomal RNA (rRNA) along with ribosomal proteins make up ribosomes, the workbenches on which polypeptides (proteins) are synthesized. It turns out that it is actually rRNA, and not a protein, in the large subunit of the ribosome that performs the peptidyl transferase function of linking amino acids together via peptide bonds. In eukaryotes, the genes coding for rRNAs are located in the nucleolus of the nucleus. A ribosome has 3 binding sites: an A (aminoacyl) site, a P (peptidyl) site, and an E (exit) site. The message carrying the information needed to make a particular polypeptide exists in the mRNA molecule. It binds with a ribosome and the ribosome starts reading it one codon 3 consecutive mRNA bases at a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. The New Destination Of Las Vegas Since you hotel s your playground, where you stay can make a big difference to your experience of Las Vegas. Here s how to find the hotel of your dreams. For the first time in years, the number of guest rooms in Las Vegas will grow only slightly in 2001 by 3,000, pushing the total to about 127,000. This modest 2.5 per cent increase from two years ago is in stark contrast to the extraordinary growth rate of the late 1990s, when the Strip provided fertile ground for a bumper crop of ever more elaborate hotel casinos, culminating in the arrival of the Aladdin in summer 2000. This latest wave of construction, and the numerous expansions and renovations of existing resorts, have each been characterised by two key features: hotel casinos ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Where to stay If you want to stay on the Strip, remember it s a 32 mile (5.6 kilometre) hike from one end to the other. You could spend a lot of time tramping from casino to casino, so consider whether you want to be based at the north, centre or south. The more recent mega resorts are the most attractive places to stay, but there are also older properties that retain a charm that hints of old Vegas. The cluster of Downtown casino hotels do a good job with accommodation, although their dining options are more limited than those on the Strip, and non gambling entertainment is practically non existent. Of course, you don t have to stay in a casino. Off the Strip, in the area surrounding the Convention Center, rooms are aimed at the business traveller and are generally unencumbered by noisy casinos, while out of town, the Regent in Summerlin and the Hyatt at Lake Las Vegas cater for visitors who want to combine casino luxury with easy access to the golf course. Casino rooms offer such good value that the budget accommodation sector is relatively small. In addition to the hostel on page 62, there are any number of fading 1950s motels cluttering up the more unfashionable stretches of Las Vegas Boulevard; their modern counterparts, the chain cheapies, can be found all over town. What to expect Because the majority of casinos continue to use amusement as a means of inducing people into their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
