I looked at examples of other writers and the different styles of poetry. I changed the
rhythm of this poem to make it flow easier. I used the guidelines from thirteen
ways of looking at revisions. Now the poem has a solid, rhythmic pattern. For the
revision of Dear Father, I used the instructor s critiques. I added more lines to the
poem to make my voice more expressive and relatable to my life. I removed a few
lines so the poem could have a specific tone and rhythm for the reader. I looked at
the poetry website we had to use for a quiz. I was able to read various poems to get
a feel of flow. After reading different poems, I felt more confident in the route I was
going with my revision. The readings from assignments were very helpful in
understanding how to write and the different styles that can be used. I enjoyed the
assigned readings, poems, and short stories, because it gave you a whole different
view of writing styles you may have not otherwise been exposed to. I was able to
apply all of this to my revisions. Although the quizzes were challenging, they

Picking to show the romantic human nature. The structure is two uneven stanzas

My First Time Hearing About The People s Mind
When somebody says a microaggression to somebody else they don t know how it
effects the other person s mind, and that can go two ways in people s mind, either
they can laugh it off and act like they don t care or it can hurt them bad and make
them want to cry. Most of the time if people hold it in they really care but their pride
is too high for them to say anything to the person. So that can end up messing up their
mindby causing them to have bad thoughts about every little thing somebody says
to them. When people let out how the microaggression hurt them, I believe they
get a sense of relief because they don t have to keep it on their mind for forever. If
you keep it on your mind forever, it s just going to bring you down every day you

One day in the woods he noticed a falcon, watched it, felt she had a nest, followed
her, climb the steep sheer cliffs, and retrieved a young falcon. The mother came back
to the nest just as Sam was taking the bird. She attacked Sam until she discovered
there were still two more babies in the nest. Sam named his falcon Frightful, as the

Italian Immigration In The Late 1800s
Italian immigration became very prevalent during the time of 1880 to 1899 as
900,000 immigrants fled to America because Italy suffered from overpopulation,
poverty and natural disasters. In the 1870s, Italian birthrates rose and death rates fell
(Digital History). In the poor southern provinces of Italy, over population became
severe. By the late 1890s, the illiteracy rate in southern Italy raised to 70 percent,
which was ten times the rate in England, France, or Germany. The Italian government
was dominated by northerners, and southerners were hurt by high taxes and high
protective tariffs on northern industrial goods. Southerners also suffered from a
scarcity of cultivable land, soil erosion and deforestation, and a lack of coal and iron

Performance Improvement Program
My 7 week performance improvement programme (PIP) was designed at
improving my performance for a 4km run. Before this class I hadn t completed or
heard much about performance programmes, so I was unsure on what it was and
how it was going to help me improve my technique and 4km run time. I went into the
programme having high beliefs that it would help me to improve as my teacher
swears by it, if completed correctly. I believe my teacher because I feel as though she

The 4km run involves the use of the larger muscle groups such as the quadriceps and
hamstrings in the legs. Continuous training was the main method of training that
my teacher structured my PIP around, as we were continuously moving for
approximately 20 minutes. I believe continuous training was successful as time
went on I could run for a longer period of time. Continuous training is any type of

continuous training more than 3 times a week, my run time was improving each
week. On the 21/2 my 500m run time was 2 minutes 20 sec, on the 27/2 my 500m
run time was 2 minutes 8 seconds and on the 3/3 my run time was 2 minutes 6
seconds. This shows that by using continuous training, I was able to see that the
recommended amount of times each week were helping me make small
improvements each time. Frequency was successful as we would run 5 times a
week which allowed us 2 days to rest. The 2 days that we didn t run allowed our
bodies to recover. The run was an open motor skill as it was performed in the
