The Impact Of Ancient Greek Theater And Tragedy

The Impact of Ancient Greek Theater and Tragedy Ancient Greek culture has influenced our modern
culture in many ways from philosophy to medicine to government. We still use many of their
concepts, technology, and even alphabet system. Without ancient Greece, our modern world would not
have advanced as far. A significant contribution of the ancient Greek culture to the world today is the
Greek theater, more specifically the structure of tragedy. Some contributions are the structure of
tragedy in modern literature, rise of opera, and the creation of the theater. Greek drama originally
started out as a ritual to honor the god of wine, Dionysus, by the cult of Dionysus. In the ritual, drunk
men dressed up in goat skin would sing and have dialogue in chorus to welcome the leader, the person
acting as Dionysus (Sayre 151). In these revel filled festivals, men dressed as satyrs, companions of
Dionysus who are half man and half goat, while the women dressed up as maenads, the immortal
followers of Dionysus. As the participants become drunk and filled with ecstasy, they transform into a
different identity from before. Later on this behavior became the satyr play, a form of Greek drama.
Tragedy is said to be originated from the Dionysian rites, where the name comes from tragoidos,
which means the goat song from the satyrs companions of Dionysus who are half man and half goat.
This could be in reference to the fact that Dionysus was also the

Smallpox Is An Acute Contagious Disease
SMALLPOX Introduction Smallpox is an acute contagious disease that is caused by the variola virus
which is a member of the Genus Orthopoxvirus family. It infects humans only as a result of its ability
to escape the host immune system, and avoid any further activation (Koplow 2003). The virus is a two
stranded DNA virus. There exist two forms of the variola virus namely the variola major and variola
minor. Variola major is the one that is lethal, while variola minor is not lethal but a mere strain. The
most common strain is the variola major, which produces the more severe symptoms and with a higher
fatality rate of 20% to 40%, within a week of infection (Koplow 2003). Key features of the life
cycle(s) The initial step is whereby the virus attaches to the host cell and infects an individual. It
normally enters through the respiratory system. It attaches to the mouth, trachea or lung mucosa. The
cells forming the mucous membrane are loosely packed hence permitting penetration and movement
into the saliva. Once the virus reaches the cell membrane, it penetrates through endocytosis. In the
host cell, the main protein in released (Koplow 2003). The virus replicates in the cytoplasm of the host
cell. DNA replication and transcription may start immediately as the virus itself contains enzymes for
replication and transcription. It does not rely on the host cell enzymes to begin replication (Koplow
2003). First, the DNA and RNA polymerase are made, along with other transcription

Comparing Beowulf And Grendal s Mother
Beowulf is a great Thane/Warrior from Geatland who comes across the sea over to Daneland to help
the King of the Danes Hrothgar to get rid of his monster Grendal, and his mother. Beowulf ends up
sleeping withe Grendal s mother. Hrothgar Even Hrothgar had slept with Grendal s mother. Later on
Hrothgar and Beowulf had regretted sleeping with her. Why did Hrothgar and Beowulf both regret
laying with Grendal s mother?
Beowulf is a Geat warrior from Geatland. Beowulf is known as the monster slayer. Stories had went
across the sea s telling of how Beowulf slued sea serpents and giants and how brave he is. Which is
why he is knob as the monster slayer. When he later had heard from across the sea that Hrothgar, King
of the Danes had a monster haunting his land. Beowulf had gathered some of his best men, including
his good friend and second in command Wiglaf. Beowulf had traveled from across the sea to help and
get rid of Hrothgar s monster problem Grendal .

Grendal but also his mother were dead he declares that Beowulf would be the next King after he has
passed on. Shortly after telling everyone the news of Beowulf being next King, Hrothgar had jumped
out of the tower of his kingdom and killed himself. And Beowulf had become King.
Many years later, A dragon had came and attacked the village. Only right after one of Unferth s slaves
had found the golden horn. Beowulf finds out that the dragon was his son that he had with Grendal s
mother. Beowulf had killed the dragon also his son but only after he had ripped his arm off to kill the
dragon and eventually had died.

Math, The Cultural World Is One Country, By David Hilbert
Mathematics knows no races or geographic boundaries for mathematics, the cultural world is one
country , David Hilbert. David Hilbert was a Muslim scholar, he meant that math and the ability to
learn math is for everyone. Today there are over 100 different kinds of Muslim innovations. Two
categories of innovations are math and medicine. But the three most influential Muslim innovations
that affected our world today are healthcare, math, and medicine. Although some may say though that
hospitals are better than medicine because of their health benefits. That is because hospitals may offer
more treatment that may be better and more reliable than medicine. Although that may be the truth for
some people, medicine can actually be as great as hospitals for a lower price. That is because surgical
procedures took more time and had a larger risk of death so it cost more than medicine. Back then in
the early 10th century, an Arab scholar first treated illnesses with his medical remedies. This proves
that medicine was widely available and reliable. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Math actually does help our way of living. But although some people may differ, some say that math
has no value in the world today. People may think that Muslim scholars innovative math so they can
just make money. They are wrong though, math has helped many people like doctors, teachers,
architects, and biologist. The math innovation helped doctors know how much medicine to give to a
patient. I f there was no math or numbers in the world many people would die without the proper care.
As well as people who work as architectures would not know how to construct a building without

indisputable evidence that discrimination of parents who have children is a widespread issue which
discourages working parents, and women during labor force. ( Half Of Working Mothers Face
Discrimination At Work, Study Finds. ) This report is the most comprehensive subject of workplace
discrimination towards parents. 49% of mothers and 29% of fathers have experienced discrimination
at work. A parent is more likely to face discrimination near large work buildings. Elizabeth Broderick

95% of men. ( Half Of Working Mothers Face Discrimination At Work, Study Finds. ) In 1970, 38%
of women make up half of the labor force. This forty year trend has been serviced by public consent
about women changing role in the society. A majority of Americans dislike the idea of women going

increasingly became supportive towards the new reality. 1987, 30% of Americans think women should

Thunder and Prey Essay
We as people should not mess with any animal in their own territory. In the stories A Sound of
Thunder and Being Prey , the main characters do not listen to this law of the jungle. In A Sound of
Thunder a man named Eckels ventures into the past to hunt the tyrant lizard. In Being Prey Val
Plumwood, a biologist, visits Kakadu National Park in Australia and becomes the target of a cold
blooded killer. These stories are very different but, very similar in setting, theme, and conflict. The
setting of the stories A Sound of Thunder and Being Prey are very different. Eckels, from A Sound of

This, in turn, messes up history and time. Killing one butterfly couldn t be that important! Could it?
Eckels says after finding the dead butterfly on his shoe. In Being Prey , Plumwood finds herself
drifting towards a crocodile and attempts to avoid it. Although I was paddling to miss the crocodile,
our paths were strangely convergent, Plumwood says after getting attacked by the crocodile. This
shows that these two stories share a similar theme. The conflicts in both A Sound of Thunder and
Being Prey are also very similar. Both A Sound of Thunder and Being Prey have a man vs nature
conflict. Since the main characters in both have to eventually fight or run from an animal that is trying
to harm them. The stories also have a man vs self conflict. In Being Prey , Plumwood has to decide
whether or not to go into the park on the rainy day. In Being Prey , Eckels has to decide whether or not

Vulnerability of the Elderly Depicted in the Play, A Cream...
In the play A cream cracker under the settee I think the Alan Bennett is trying to convey a message
about what old age pensioners are really like and what there thoughts are about modern life. The play
was written in 1987 but the concerns of elderly people remain the same. The Play is focused on a
woman called Doris. She is in late adulthood, widowed and lives by herself. Doris has no family or
friends, she has been given a cleaner called Zulema by the council. Zulema comes once a week to
clean Doris house. Doris was once married to a man called Wilfred but he died, she often talks to him
or at least, his photo, and about him. In my personal opinion, I think Doris finds it easier to talk to

Doris doesn t have any neighbours or a phone (because she probably can t afford one) so if she was in
trouble and needed help there would be no body there to help her. Don t know anyone around here
now. Doris doesn t think of herself as an old person as she often refers to old people that smell and
need a Zimmer frame, she doesn t realise that she is an old person herself. Doris had a very distant and
isolated relationship with Wilfred when he was alive as they never talked about there feelings, when
Doris had her miscarriage I think Wilfred was scared of showing emotion. The miscarriage has
affected Doris as she says If it had lived, I might have had grandchildren now. Wouldn t have been in
this fix. when she says this, she is calling the baby it I think she refers to the baby as it because of the
midwifes reaction. The midwife said he wasn t fit to be called anything and had we any newspaper.
Wilfred says he did (have newspaper)I think he said that because I think he was trying to help and be
useful, because I think he thought that, that was the only way to be helpful. I think that as a result of it

sympathetic towards Doris because she can t stop cleaning. Doris is scared of having to go into
Stafford House because she thinks everyone is crazy and smells. I don t want to

Museum Of Modernism
The class visit to the Museum of Modern Art allowed myself to understand and visualize what the
work of Modernism really pertains to. As I was entering the Modernism Art exhibit or the first time, I
was excited yet uncertain of the paintings and works of art I would come across. After exploring
around, reading the information panels, and asking questions, I attempted to learn and educate myself
on the Modernist art movement. The purpose of the modernist period for artists was to provide new
meaning, illuminate the world in a different way, and to show different relationships within the world.
Modernism art isn t necessarily a rejection of the past as much as trying to make meaning of the past
that existed in the nineteenth century and sought ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In terms of the approaches to modernism, thematically, another big theme of modernism besides
taking fragments of different elements is the concept and function of dislocation and distortion of
body parts that is deconstructed or broken down but then is thrown together, not in a way we would
recognize in a realistic mode. For example, one sees a human body in a certain way. Yet some artwork
of the human being is depicted in a style where an arm seems twisted and dislocated. This represents
breaking away from the past in a tradition of representing the body in a new and different way. In The
Girl Before a Mirror, it becomes apparent that the lady s body has been distorted due to the darkening
of her facial features. This is an example of how the dominant trend of modern painting was through
distortion. We can get a sense that her face is darkened, her eyes are round and hollow, and her
feminine body is twisted and contorted. She seems older and more anxious due to her physical
transformations. Furthermore, in the distorted mirror reflection, the girl s nose becomes long and her
full blond hair is reflected as thin and green. Her mind has deformed her face and body since her
breasts are lopsided and sagging, and her face is aged. We might assume that Picasso was painting a
scene of an isolated figure. The isolation of that individual reminds me of alienation for instance since
she doesn t seem connected to others, which refers back to Things Fall Apart. Yet interpretation is
arbitrary with modern art. A particular artist might have not been thinking alienation is what he or she
is trying to represent, but what matters with any text, whether it is a literary text, painting, sculpture or
piece of music is that meaning is a combination of what is there and what we are bringing to the text.
That is how meaning works. It is not just in the text itself. So

Western Versus Indigenous use of Psilocybin
Another clinical study of psilocybin done at the University of Arizona and led by Francisco Morena,
was conducted in 2007 to evaluate the effects of psilocybin on the symptoms of obsessive compulsive
disorder in nine subjects. The researchers addressed two questions: does oral ingestion of psilocybin
lead to an acute decrease in OCD symptoms and is what dose is required to demonstrate significant
reduction in symptoms. The results revealed that when administered in a supportive clinical
environment, psilocybin was safe and well tolerated. The psilocybin was associated with transient
symptomatic reduction of OCD symptoms in subjects with treatment resistance OCD ( ). Although
there is an understanding of the psychedelic mechanism of action of psilocybin, it s not clear exactly
which receptors and pathways are involved in mediating the anti obsessional responses. The intent of
the study was not to conduct psychedelic facilitated therapy, however five of the subjects readily
described their experiences as very psychologically and spiritually enriching and four of the subjects
reported profound positive transcendental experiences such as exploration of other planets, visiting
past life reincarnations and interacting with deities. The results also showed most subjects reporting
symptom reduction experiences a period of relief that extending far beyond the session. In summary,
although there are some gaps in the understanding of how the psilocybin interacts to reduce OCD

The Marginalization Of Aborial Schools
In these residential schools many students were abused, tortured, raped, starved this is just a glimpse
into the inhumane treatment children faced. Native language was forbidden in the residential schools.
The state forced students to speak English at the residential schools and if they did not they were
reinforced with harsh punishments. Since aboriginals were seen as savages it was important to the
state and church to eliminate aboriginal language and make them cultured people. Brass explains that,
children in residential schools more than likely felt inferior because they could only speak their
language when family came this way they would learn English faster (1987: 6). Destroying and
dismantling native culture through residential schools has left survivors with socially impaired and
cultural damage. Euro centric views of the Canadian state has impacted aboriginal communities
because many children today are unaware of what their mother tongue is creating a marginalized
effect these communities. The government today hasn t done much to compensate the linguicide of
aboriginal societies. When a genocide or linguicide is not properly recognized it leaves a feeling of
being second class citizens because their losses are not dealt with adequately. Children were
persistently reminded that their values, culture and beliefs are irrelevant. This resulted in many young
children with poor self esteem, depression, lack of self respect and lack of motivation to succeed

Service Learning Individual Reflection
During the spring semester of 2015, I took the Service Learning course in psychology (Psych 410).
The general structure of this course included attending a 70 minutes long class on Mondays and
Wednesdays to learn about service learning from the psychology field perspectives, reading scientific
articles, conducting literature reviews to broaden my understanding of the subject, and in class
constructive discussions with my colleagues. The course required 50 hours of community service at
any local organizations or schools. From February 24 to May 8, I volunteered at the Arc of southern
Maryland, an organization that provides residential services for individuals with intellectual disability.
This organization has several homes in the Leonardtown area. Each home has four to five residents
that are grouped based on the developmental disability conditions. As part of the class, I was required

Additionally, the class required me to develop a hypothetical program that would be beneficial for the
individuals that I worked with.

Christian Persecution From Early Civilizations
Persecution is a serious issue that throughout history has shown to be misinterpreted and sometimes
even taken out of context. Defined by the Merriam Webster dictionary as the act or practice of
persecuting those who differ in origin, religion or social outlook/ the condition of being persecuted,
harassed or annoyed. Other sources define it as hostility and even ill treatment towards these groups.
My goal with this paper is to focus specifically on Christian persecution from early civilizations (more
specifically within the Roman Empire) and then fast forwarding to persecution within the world today.
For modern persecution I ll be focusing on the RSS () which is ..... in India. If you are insulted
because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. (1 Peter
4:14)
When people often reflect back on persecution in the early church, the first place that the mind goes is
to the region that the early church started spreading through to begin with. The Roman Empire, where
we see many of our first missionaries emerge during Christ s life and after his death. For persecution
to happen there must be a green light or go ahead from someone whom holds authority, even if they
personally are indifferent about the issue they must be okay with others persecuting for it to actually
take place. Throughout the history of the Roman Empire there were several rulers that became labeled
as persecutors (whether they were the ones killing with their on

Unethical Practices For Business Success Essay
We have heard the well used phrase, When in Rome, do as the Romans do, and have applied it well as
we travel among other countries and cultures, with great success. However, in business, it does not
prove to be as much of a reliable phrase to live by. General practices of businesses can sometimes
prove to be unethical, even though they are quite legal, or were simply unethical in their conduct and
operations, with no remorse. Unethical practices by businesses have often been a catalyst in their
demise. Hence, for business success, we might say, When in business, practicing integrity is good
business, because if it is adhered to, it can be a recipe for success.
According to an article, Unethical Rationalizations and Misconceptions, which was published by
ethicsalarms.com, there are countless excuses and reasons people justify unethical practices, whether
they are legal or illegal. Every form of excuse, It s done all the time, to It s always been done this way,
to Everybody accepts it, to Nobody s complained before, to It s too late to change now, to No harm, no
foul, to name a few. These justifications are clearly evident that the ABCDs of ethical decision making
have been bypassed.
When operating a business, it is more profitable to consider every aspect of the outcome of the
decisions that we make. We need to be aware of the facts of the entire situation. Who will it impact
most and to what degree? How do I feel about the decision I am going to make?

Essay on Memory Builders
Memory Builders When someone says Can I pick your brain for a minute, does it bother you that that
may be as long as it takes? Losing one s memory is a common subject of humor as we age. I m just
now realizing, however, that it s more serious and scary than we may like to admit (or, if I realized it
earlier, I forgot about it). My dad, at 85 and one of the sharpest minds I know, has said in moments of
not totally tongue in cheek, If I ever lose my mind, shoot me. I like to obey my parents, but fortunately
I can t remember where the gun is. Senility, dementia, Alzheimer s disease, forgetfulness

Vascular problems from blood clots, aneurysms (causing blood to leak out of blood vessels),
arteriosclerosis (causing blocked blood vessels), some forms of anemia, and various combinations can
all be involved. Depression can play a big factor, as can just plain inattention. Medication can cause
memory problems, sometimes severe. Metabolic, biological and/or endocrine dysfunction, such as
thyroid or liver disease, electrolyte imbalance, infection, tumors, and nutritional disorders, including
malabsorption, can all be involved. (Oh, I forgot to add trauma.) Also, chemical exposures may be
involved, such as aluminum, mercury, alcohol, lead, etc. So, there s a lot to consider before just
writing someone off to senile dementia, and that s a big reason why your doc should definitely be
involved. Unfortunately, however, medical therapy for Alzheimer s type of memory impairment
(senile dementia) just a few years ago was limited to what s called the ergot alkaloids, specifically
hydergine. This is a pretty innocuous drug that much of the medical profession thought (and thinks) to

The Conversion Of Roman Emperor
Nathan Little
HY 103
11/7/2014
Research Paper
The conversion of Roman Emperor, Constantine, marked the start of a reform that would change
Rome forever. A once pagan society, Rome was one of the last to grasp the Christianity concept. The
start of Christianizing Rome began with two of Jesus disciples, Peter and James, as well as the apostle
Paul in the Roman province of Antioch during the first century ( New Women of Color Study Bible
1742). From this, Christianity spread all over the province, by the time it got to Rome it was not
widely practiced. It wasn t until the reign of Constantine that Christianity took its place as the empires
forefront religion. Since Rome was known for its worship and idolizing of gods, how and for what
reasons did Constantine transform his subjects beliefs? According to authors, Ramsay MacMullen,
John Curran, and A.H.M. Jones, a number of tactics were used to sway the masses minds. Use of
coercion, money, and campaigns aided Constantine s questionable Christian cleanse .
During the reign of Constantine, cash was quite a factor in conversion of the people. As described by
Ramsay MacMullen, There [was] also an element familiar only from the time of Constantine s reign
forward: imperial cash gifts, some of them quite gigantic (MacMullen 88). These particular cash gifts
were used mainly for church growth. In order to create a steady base of believers Constantine
permitted the enticement of followers by way of church officials. Just as

Adverts R Us Analysis
I will begin with the commentary Advertisements R Us , by Melissa Rubin. I agree, somewhat, that
advertising is a way to hook the consumers. Of course, that is how they expect to sell their product.
When a company wants to market their product, they will advertise it to appeal to a variety of
consumers. They will try to convince the consumers that they must have the product they are
marketing. I do agree with the writer that maybe at some point in time, marketing a product was
geared towards specific types of consumers. Perhaps, those consumers may have been the only type of
people that could afford to spend the money to purchase the product that was being marketed. Back in
those days, having a Coca Cola was a luxury, and most households only had one income. Now a days,
it is fair game for everyone because we have a more diverse community. More jobs are available to all
races and genders, and two income households are now necessary to make ends meet. According to
the writer in the commentary, it sounds like the advertisement was somewhat partial. It does not
appear to have people from other ethnic groups. I cannot imagine that Coca Cola would intentionally
leave out specific types of people since they were a popular manufacturer in those days, of course, that
is just my opinion. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Influence Of Superhero Films
Since the release of the X men trilogy in the early 2000 s, superhero films have been an inextricable
part of the cultural landscape, especially in Hollywood. They are huge, seemingly permanent features
of modern media.
It s no wonder that people love superhero films
A lot of the audience grew up reading comic books or watching cartoon adaptations of them
They are able to see their favourite characters in the live action version and there is a sense of
nostalgia as they remember imagining the Iron Man suit actually existing in real life.
Superhero films are a form of escapism (how they provide)
They tend to be full of action and witty dialogues, immersing the audience in a colourful and exciting
world.
For example, Guardians Of The Galaxy is set apart from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are brought to life by the incredible talents of actors who portray them wholeheartedly not only
in the big screen but also in real life.
For example, Robert Downey Jr. embodied his character iron man so much so he is synonymous with
the character. He recently presented a 3 D printed bionic arm to an amputee and inspired him to
embrace his differences and be confident with it.
However he is not the only one. Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) and Chris Evans
(Captain America) are also a few celebrities who uses their superhero counterpart to help give to
charity.
People argue that the negative impact of superhero films on society is that the film industry has not
been funding more emotionally driven stories and that superhero films are overshadowing those
genres of films.
That maybe true but this is how it has always been what the film industry is about.
The film industry goes through phases of genres and superhero movies are simply the current phase.
It can be that the phase will go on for an unknown period of time.
The film industry does not fund stories just because they are different or against the current

The Contribution Of Galileo
Galileo Galilei, an Italian scientist, made groundbreaking observations that contributed to modern
physics and astronomy. Galileo established mathematics as the language of scientific discovery. He
founded the scientific method and helped establish the modern practice of experimentation and
calculated laws of nature.
In July of 1609, Galileo developed his own telescope and with it, he made several astronomical
discoveries. For example, Galileo discovered that the surface of the moon is rough and uneven as
opposed to smooth as people had thought. Galileo also discovered with his telescope that many more
stars exist than are visible to the naked eye. According to author E.B., Galileo also found sunspots
upon the surface of our star and discovered the phases of Venus, which confirmed that the planet
circles the sun inside Earth s own orbit (45).
Galileo was also curious about how things move, and this curiosity led to important discoveries in
physics. For instance, he questioned the then current belief that heavy objects fall faster than light
ones. In order to refute this, Galileo did many experiments. For example, it is said that he dropped two
different weights from the Tower of Pisa to show that they hit the ground at the same time, a
demonstration that paved the way for Isaac Newton s Laws of Motion. Galileo also tested his theory
by rolling balls down an inclined plane at various angles. These experiments lead to Galileo s the law
of falling bodies. This law states that all objects will fall at an equal rate when accounting for
relatively minor differences in aerodynamics and weather conditions.
Another discovery Galileo made with regards to motion was about the pendulum. The author of An
Inquisitive Mind Kim Zarins wrote about the experiment:
Galileo made two pendulums with string of equal lengths and a lead ball at the end of each. Then he
pulled one ball back twice as far as the other, and let them both go at the same time. He expected to
see the ball with the longer swing take a longer time to move back and forth. In fact, both pendulums
moved in perfect synchronization! They swung at the same rate, even though one pendulum was
moving twice as far and one ball was heavier than the other (41).

The Mystery Of The Unicorn Hunters
The Problem with Banishment
With the name The Unicorn Hunters, one might think this group consists of delusional people, but on
the contrary The Unicorn Hunters are a group created for Lake Superior State University (LSSU) to
garner more support for the school. W.T. (Bill) Rabe created the Unicorn Hunters after being hired as

from our language. The past lists show words that people generally disliked, overused, or considered
to be a negligent and lazy way to communicate.
After looking through the lists created by LSSU, the Freshman Composition I class created their own
list of banished words and compiled the data within various tables, charts, and graphs. Next, by
analyzing the data the class arrived to several conclusions about the implications of the data. Group A,
my group, was assigned to show how to make a table of the top ten words, complete with title, labels,

First, friends, family, and strangers were surveyed and asked what words they would like to banish

Youth Rebelliion In The 1950s Essay

During the 1950 s there was significant social change taking place in America. Young people were
dissatisfied with certain conservative aspects of society and their conduct reflected this. They
embraced the rock and roll culture, the new style of music and also the new styles of dancing and
dress that were associated with it shocked the older more conservative people. Young people were also
quick to protest against the controversial issues of the 1950 s. Civil Rights, the Vietnam War and
general politics provided fuel for an already blazing fire. Mass production meant cheaper motorcycles

had grown up treating their parents with the utmost respect and modelling their behaviour and views
on their parents. This change was made easier by the freedom brought about by access to a car, which
lead to increased independence. After the war there was huge economic growth in America, this
coupled with mass production of automobiles made transport relatively cheap most families were able
to afford a car. The children of these families were often allowed to take out the family car, granting
them more freedom to go out with friends and more privacy for couples. This new show of
independence was also evident in the young people s reaction to social issues that were taking place.
Many of the young war veterans returning from the Second World War and the Korean War found it
very hard to fit back into society. Many of these veterans got heavily into both drug taking and social

Literary Analysis Of Woman In A Purple Coat
For this analysis, I will be using Woman In A Purple Coat by Henri Matisse (1937), oil on canvas.
1937 was a turbulent year globally. From the Hindenburg blimp exploding, to the Japanese invasion of
China, and the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Many events happened that year that would forever
alter the course of history. Henri Matisse, an eclectic soul, would make his mark upon 1937 as well
with Woman In A Purple Coat. This piece would cause all who came before and after him to rethink
how they would make their legacy, as Matisse moved the bar to previously unobtainable heights
through this work. The first thing you notice in Matisse s painting is the purple coat that Lydia
Delectorskaya, his lover of many years, is wearing. This coat, an exotic Moroccan costume, with its
bold and vivid color, jumps right out at its viewers. While Lydia reclines for her pose, the vase of
flowers and fruit on the table in the foreground become apparent to the audience. As do the bold
shapes and patterns that are on the walls, with their incredibly bright colors, outlined with thick lines.
The lines Matisse used creates a certain symmetry within the frame. His perspective lines give order
and dimension to an otherwise visually busy art work. Henri used bold, thick lines to create definition,
even using the back end of the brush to scrape away paint to leave exposed canvas to create his
effects. Matisse was a pioneer within his profession. He was often criticized for his lack of

works really hard in order to accomplish his goals. Frazier was not pleased about law school until he

Music And Its Influence On Music Essay
Which do you prefer cultivated or vernacular that is the question? Music, the idea of using sounds for
thoughts. Cultivated music can be defined in many different ways, although it is defines as being
music that comes from another country, it is also defined as music that is consciously well put
together. The word culture is almost visible. However, the term cultivated brings a deep contrast to
that of vernacular . Vernacular can be defined as music of the present place. It will be safe to say that
cultivated music carries over into Vernacular music. Cultivated can also be described as imported
music or brought over music. For example, Beethoven Symphony No 9, which sounds like the telling
of a story of conquest, has been performed in many places around the world. Vernacular music can be
thought of as music that has been created and raised within a country. Whether you listen to rap music
or not, some critics say the sound changed and is not the same. For instance, taking into consideration
culture and history; the music of 2Pac Shakur was said to be, too politically charged, while also

approach in style. As said before, taking culture and history into consideration; there are comparisons
as well as differences.

4. Request a Methods Listing. This list will summarize and outline the steps that the contractor will
take during the project. It maybe part of an estimate or on an entirely different piece of paper. The
methods listing is an excellent tool for comparing and contrasting potential pressure washing services

that either own or lease their equipment are typically more reliable and committed to their pressure
washing business. Contractors who rent equipment may be an indication that they are not as

Battle Of Algiers Essay
The movie Battle of Algiers tells the story of a revolution. The movie takes place in the capital of
French Algeria, Algiers. The French colonized Algeria 1830, this colonization lasted until 1962; the
year Algeria gained its independence. The movie tells the story of the people of Algiers and their
struggle to gain independence. The movie raises a plethora of moral issues and the characters are often
put into situations that put their morals into question. The French and the people of Algiers were both
into these situations. However, I believe the French were more immoral than the Algiers; in fact, I
believe the people of Algiers actions were justifiable. Colonialism in itself is a morality issue. It is the
exploitation of a territory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Terrorism is a terrible tactic because it leads to the deaths of many civilians that are not directly
involved. This is the reason terrorism is generally viewed to be evil. However, the people of Algiers
used terror tactics because of how long the French had been abusing and exploiting them. Their terror
attacks were not carried out because they hated the French civilians they have never met but they were
carried out to get the freedom they deserve from the French government. To do that they had to use
tactics that are normally immoral. In this case, they were justified because of how long they have been
abused and since they had no way of creating an army to compete with the French, they only had few
options. Lack of military, economic, and political power caused the to see violence as the only

Sino Soviet Relations
To what extent was the deterioration in Sino Soviet relations in the years 1958 69 due to personal
rivalries?
The deterioration in Sino Soviet relations between 1958 1969 is due to a number of different
factorssome historians argue that conflicting personal rivalries between Mao and Khrushchev
contributed to the split until 1964, however other historians argue that other factors influenced the
deterioration. For example both sides were ideologically different, this can be seen as they were both
pursuing different methods of achieving communism, and during many occasions they disagreed with
each other. However the most significant factor causing the split was their conflicting national
interests, as although without the existing personal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This shows a clear confliction in national interests, and a cause for a deterioration in Sino Soviet
relations was the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Due to this, Mao introduced his policy of active
defence towards the USSR and this was because of his paranoia that the USSR could try to assert
dominance over China. This shows a clear confliction of national interests as the USSR was
preventing China from expansion and this added to the initial ideological and personality disputes
stated above. Therefore the deterioration in Sino Soviet relations was due to conflicting national
interests more than personality and ideological clashes as from this, both sides clearly wanted different
things, conflict between them was inevitable.
Finally another argument that some historians put forward is the Ussuri River dispute in 1969 where
both sides shared a common border. This was one of the most important reasons for the deterioration
in relations because it was the first time both sides came into direct conflict with the other during this
in which on the first day, over 30 Soviet soldiers died. This showed a direct cause for deterioration in
relations, because two countries cannot be allies if they are constantly at fighting with one another.
These border disputes had been ongoing for many years, showing that a fundamental cause for the
deterioration in relations between the

Uae National Day
Introduction
UAE is a truly blessed nation and an important a role model for the entire world. Founded on the
principles of union and justice, this nation today stands tall and has found a firm footing on the world
map. An arid piece of land transformed by the vision and aspirations of a man who wanted to bring
about a change in the lives of those around him. A man of pride and wisdom H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin
Sultan Al Nahyan not only dreamt but had the courage to pursue his dream and turn it into a beacon of
reality. In the process, he never lost sight of his roots and cultural heritage.
On the occasion of the 41st National Day of UAE, we salute the Father of Nation, H.H. Sheikh Zayed
Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and celebrate the 40th National ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some schools and other educational institutes perform concerts, parties or competitions. Some
organise food bazaars where everyone who participates cook some dishes and all the proceeds made
on this day goes to charity.
Everyone gets involved in National Day Activities, even businesses, all each having a party and a
competition with prizes to be won.
At times there are brilliant live outdoors concerts, with the local students performing the traditional
UAE dances and dedicating poetry to the day. This is sometimes ended with fasinating fireworks or
laser displays.
The history and significance
Not long ago, the UAE was a land of desert inhabited by proud and resourceful nomadic Bedouin
tribes, fishing villages and date farms. Abu Dhabi consisted of several hundred palm huts (barasti)
huts, a few coral buildings and the Ruler s Fort. Situated along the creek, Dubai was a trading hub,
providing a safe haven before the Straits of Hormuz and beyond. Life today in the Emirates bears little
resemblance to that of 40 years ago.
Parts of the UAE were settled as far back as the 3rd millennium BC and its early history fits the
nomadic, herding and fishing pattern typical of the broader region. The Bedouin tribe was the
principal building block of UAE society. Bedouin, which means desert dweller, lived in varied terrain
moving between the ocean (where pearl diving and fishing were the main forms of sustenance), the
desert (moving as nomads for

Osteoporosis And Rheumatoid Arthritis Case Study
.2 Lytic (erosive)
Lytic conditions involve the loss of bone (Byers, 2010). Osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis are both
common forms of arthritis. Arthritis is a highly prevalent disease that affects 8.5 million people in the
UK and almost a quarter of doctor s visits regard this illness. Osteoporosis causes disproportionate
bone loss and inadequate bone replacement. The bone loss causes weakness, so osteoporosis often
causes fractures in the vertebral column, femur and radius. Osteoporosis is more common in women,
with one in three women developing it in their lifetimes. The proportion of men who develop
osteoporosis is much lower, with only one in ten who are sufferers. Osteoporosis based fractures are
more widespread in Caucasian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rickets and Osteomalacia present when the body either does not receive enough vitamin D in the diet
(malnutrition) or is not capable of acquiring enough vitamin D from food (malabsorption) (Black and
Ferguson, 2011). Both conditions cause skeletal deformity, rickets causes disruptions in the modelling
and remodelling of the bone. Osteomalacia is a little different, modelling of the bone does not take
place, growth plates fuse, and remodelling is abnormal. Rickets is more obvious in sections of bone in
which growth is the fastest. Therefore, the skull, rib cage, wrists and legs are most affected in children.
Osteomalacia is found in adults when symptoms occur the axial skeleton is most affected.
Osteomalacia may cause waddling and so the gait of the person should be tested. In rickets, radiology
shows that there is often a widening in the metaphyses (the section between the diaphysis of a long
bone and the epiphyses), they are jagged and show a characteristic dip in the location where the
metaphyses meets the epiphyses (Whyte and Thakker, 2013). These characteristics may be seen in
figure 3. If females have rickets in puberty, rachitic pelvis may develop (distortion of the

Tartuffe Essay
Tartuffe
In his most notorious play Tartuffe, Molière relates the story of an attempt, by a manipulative
hypocrite, to destroy the domestic happiness of a citizen who, charmed by his seeming piety, has taken
him into his home as a respectable guest. The play was disallowed after its first performance because
it was deemed anti religion. However this ruling was made unfairly since true religion is never
confounded with hypocrisy, but is upheld with warmth, which shows his characteristic hatred of
imposture in any shape.
Through out Tartuffe, Molière s play ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They never will attack a sinner viciously—

Their zeal isn t excessive, and it never seems
The interests of God have pushed them to extremes.
These are my heroes. They re the men I think are great.
And they re the men whom I would want to imitate.
On first seeing Tartuffe performed in Versailles, the King immediately recognized and appreciated its
genius. He understood that it was strictly addressing hypocrisy, however concern about the play began
to grow as its performance moved to Paris. Molière s adversaries claimed that under the fake motive
of trying to expose hypocrisy, he actually sought to undermine the foundations of religion itself.
Pressure from the opposition, which included the Catholic Church, the archbishop of Paris, the Queen
Mother Anne of Austria, and the Company of the Holy Sacrament forced Louis XIV to ban the play in
Paris.
The argument could be made that The King s initial approval stemmed from the fact that Tartuffe
includes patronage in the form of not so subtle flattery and references to Louis XIV and his family and
associates, rather than the theme of hypocrisy versus sincerity. One instance of this being in the final
act where the King s authorities come to arrest Tartuffe for a history of swindling people out of their
fortune. The officer refers to his King as:
He sees things as they are; you ll find that wicked schemes

Grapes Of Wrath Allusions
In his novel Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck integrated many biblical references and values
throughout the book. This provided a more intriguing and complex style of writing that he used to tell
about the Dust Bowl of the early 1900 s and the arduous journey the Joad family and many others took
to reach California. The first biblical reference is revealed when the Joad family leaves for California.
the rest swarmed up on top of the load, Connie and Rose of Sharon, Pa and Uncle John, Ruthie and
Winfield, Tom and the preacher. Noah stood on the ground, looking up at the great load of them sitting
on top of the truck (Steinbeck 113) This passage relates to the loading of animals into Noah s Ark in
Genesis 7:15 where it is written that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another biblical reference is shown when the Joad s move to California. Their journey to California
from Oklahoma is a biblical reference due to the similarity to the exodus of the Jews to Israel from
Egypt. This is distinguished by the similarities between the Joad s and the Jews, the Joad s were
captives of their farm while the Jews were captives of Egypt. Throughout their journey, Ma becomes a
Moses like figure but leading the family through hard times and tries to keep the family together. She
kept the family moving towards California even though Grandma was dead in her lap. California was
the promised land for the Joad s and other Okies and Ma led the family there. California brings about
another biblical allusion. As part of Moses bringing his people out of Egypt, he told of a promised
land to where he would take the Israelites, and that land was Canaan. For the Joad s and many other
migrants, California was the promised land they were searching for. Apart from both of the promised
lands beginning with the letter C, they had many things in common. The vineyards, the orchards, the
great flat valley, green and beautiful...the peach trees and the walnut groves, and the dark green
patches of oranges (Steinbeck 227). This is an allusion to the promised land of the Jews, where in
Numbers 13:27 it states We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and
honey! Here is its fruit (Zondervan 207). Both lands were bursting with

  • 3. The Impact Of Ancient Greek Theater And Tragedy Michimasa Kamata HUM 101 007 3/17/16 The Impact of Ancient Greek Theater and Tragedy Ancient Greek culture has influenced our modern culture in many ways from philosophy to medicine to government. We still use many of their concepts, technology, and even alphabet system. Without ancient Greece, our modern world would not have advanced as far. A significant contribution of the ancient Greek culture to the world today is the Greek theater, more specifically the structure of tragedy. Some contributions are the structure of tragedy in modern literature, rise of opera, and the creation of the theater. Greek drama originally started out as a ritual to honor the god of wine, Dionysus, by the cult of Dionysus. In the ritual, drunk men dressed up in goat skin would sing and have dialogue in chorus to welcome the leader, the person acting as Dionysus (Sayre 151). In these revel filled festivals, men dressed as satyrs, companions of Dionysus who are half man and half goat, while the women dressed up as maenads, the immortal followers of Dionysus. As the participants become drunk and filled with ecstasy, they transform into a different identity from before. Later on this behavior became the satyr play, a form of Greek drama. Tragedy is said to be originated from the Dionysian rites, where the name comes from tragoidos, which means the goat song from the satyrs companions of Dionysus who are half man and half goat. This could be in reference to the fact that Dionysus was also the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Smallpox Is An Acute Contagious Disease SMALLPOX Introduction Smallpox is an acute contagious disease that is caused by the variola virus which is a member of the Genus Orthopoxvirus family. It infects humans only as a result of its ability to escape the host immune system, and avoid any further activation (Koplow 2003). The virus is a two stranded DNA virus. There exist two forms of the variola virus namely the variola major and variola minor. Variola major is the one that is lethal, while variola minor is not lethal but a mere strain. The most common strain is the variola major, which produces the more severe symptoms and with a higher fatality rate of 20% to 40%, within a week of infection (Koplow 2003). Key features of the life cycle(s) The initial step is whereby the virus attaches to the host cell and infects an individual. It normally enters through the respiratory system. It attaches to the mouth, trachea or lung mucosa. The cells forming the mucous membrane are loosely packed hence permitting penetration and movement into the saliva. Once the virus reaches the cell membrane, it penetrates through endocytosis. In the host cell, the main protein in released (Koplow 2003). The virus replicates in the cytoplasm of the host cell. DNA replication and transcription may start immediately as the virus itself contains enzymes for replication and transcription. It does not rely on the host cell enzymes to begin replication (Koplow 2003). First, the DNA and RNA polymerase are made, along with other transcription ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

David Hilbert was a Muslim scholar, he meant that math and the ability to learn math is for everyone. Today there are over 100 different kinds of Muslim innovations. Two categories of innovations are math and medicine. But the three most influential Muslim innovations that affected our world today are healthcare, math, and medicine. Although some may say though that hospitals are better than medicine because of their health benefits. That is because hospitals may offer more treatment that may be better and more reliable than medicine. Although that may be the truth for some people, medicine can actually be as great as hospitals for a lower price. That is because surgical procedures took more time and had a larger risk of death so it cost more than medicine. As I was entering the Modernism Art exhibit or the first time, I was excited yet uncertain of the paintings and works of art I would come across. After exploring around, reading the information panels, and asking questions, I attempted to learn and educate myself on the Modernist art movement. In terms of the approaches to modernism, thematically, another big theme of modernism besides taking fragments of different elements is the concept and function of dislocation and distortion of body parts that is deconstructed or broken down but then is thrown together, not in a way we would recognize in a realistic mode. For example, one sees a human body in a certain way. Yet some artwork of the human being is depicted in a style where an arm seems twisted and dislocated. This represents breaking away from the past in a tradition of representing the body in a new and different way. In The Girl Before a Mirror, it becomes apparent that the lady s body has been distorted due to the darkening of her facial features. This is an example of how the dominant trend of modern painting was through distortion. We can get a sense that her face is darkened, her eyes are round and hollow, and her feminine body is twisted and contorted. She seems older and more anxious due to her physical transformations. Furthermore, in the distorted mirror reflection, the girl s nose becomes long and her full blond hair is reflected as thin and green. Her mind has deformed her face and body since her breasts are lopsided and sagging, and her face is aged. We might assume that Picasso was painting a scene of an isolated figure. The isolation of that individual reminds me of alienation for instance since she doesn t seem connected to others, which refers back to Things Fall Apart. Yet interpretation is arbitrary with modern art. A particular artist might have not been thinking alienation is what he or she is trying to represent, but what matters with any text, whether it is a literary text, painting, sculpture or piece of music is that meaning is a combination of what is there and what we are bringing to the text. That is how meaning works. It is not just in the text itself. So ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Western Versus Indigenous use of Psilocybin Another clinical study of psilocybin done at the University of Arizona and led by Francisco Morena, was conducted in 2007 to evaluate the effects of psilocybin on the symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder in nine subjects. The researchers addressed two questions: does oral ingestion of psilocybin lead to an acute decrease in OCD symptoms and is what dose is required to demonstrate significant reduction in symptoms. The results revealed that when administered in a supportive clinical environment, psilocybin was safe and well tolerated. The psilocybin was associated with transient symptomatic reduction of OCD symptoms in subjects with treatment resistance OCD ( ). Although there is an understanding of the psychedelic mechanism of action of psilocybin, it s not clear exactly which receptors and pathways are involved in mediating the anti obsessional responses. The intent of the study was not to conduct psychedelic facilitated therapy, however five of the subjects readily described their experiences as very psychologically and spiritually enriching and four of the subjects reported profound positive transcendental experiences such as exploration of other planets, visiting past life reincarnations and interacting with deities. • 17. The Marginalization Of Aborial Schools In these residential schools many students were abused, tortured, raped, starved this is just a glimpse into the inhumane treatment children faced. Native language was forbidden in the residential schools. The state forced students to speak English at the residential schools and if they did not they were reinforced with harsh punishments. Since aboriginals were seen as savages it was important to the state and church to eliminate aboriginal language and make them cultured people. Brass explains that, children in residential schools more than likely felt inferior because they could only speak their language when family came this way they would learn English faster (1987: 6). Destroying and dismantling native culture through residential schools has left survivors with socially impaired and cultural damage. Euro centric views of the Canadian state has impacted aboriginal communities because many children today are unaware of what their mother tongue is creating a marginalized effect these communities. The government today hasn t done much to compensate the linguicide of aboriginal societies. When a genocide or linguicide is not properly recognized it leaves a feeling of being second class citizens because their losses are not dealt with adequately. Unethical Practices For Business Success Essay We have heard the well used phrase, When in Rome, do as the Romans do, and have applied it well as we travel among other countries and cultures, with great success. However, in business, it does not prove to be as much of a reliable phrase to live by. General practices of businesses can sometimes prove to be unethical, even though they are quite legal, or were simply unethical in their conduct and operations, with no remorse. Unethical practices by businesses have often been a catalyst in their demise. Hence, for business success, we might say, When in business, practicing integrity is good business, because if it is adhered to, it can be a recipe for success. According to an article, Unethical Rationalizations and Misconceptions, which was published by ethicsalarms.com, there are countless excuses and reasons people justify unethical practices, whether they are legal or illegal. Every form of excuse, It s done all the time, to It s always been done this way, to Everybody accepts it, to Nobody s complained before, to It s too late to change now, to No harm, no foul, to name a few. These justifications are clearly evident that the ABCDs of ethical decision making have been bypassed. A once pagan society, Rome was one of the last to grasp the Christianity concept. The start of Christianizing Rome began with two of Jesus disciples, Peter and James, as well as the apostle Paul in the Roman province of Antioch during the first century ( New Women of Color Study Bible 1742). From this, Christianity spread all over the province, by the time it got to Rome it was not widely practiced. It wasn t until the reign of Constantine that Christianity took its place as the empires forefront religion. Since Rome was known for its worship and idolizing of gods, how and for what reasons did Constantine transform his subjects beliefs? According to authors, Ramsay MacMullen, John Curran, and A.H.M. Jones, a number of tactics were used to sway the masses minds. Use of coercion, money, and campaigns aided Constantine s questionable Christian cleanse . During the reign of Constantine, cash was quite a factor in conversion of the people. As described by Ramsay MacMullen, There [was] also an element familiar only from the time of Constantine s reign forward: imperial cash gifts, some of them quite gigantic (MacMullen 88). Of course, that is how they expect to sell their product. When a company wants to market their product, they will advertise it to appeal to a variety of consumers. They will try to convince the consumers that they must have the product they are marketing. I do agree with the writer that maybe at some point in time, marketing a product was geared towards specific types of consumers. Perhaps, those consumers may have been the only type of people that could afford to spend the money to purchase the product that was being marketed. Back in those days, having a Coca Cola was a luxury, and most households only had one income. Now a days, it is fair game for everyone because we have a more diverse community. More jobs are available to all races and genders, and two income households are now necessary to make ends meet. According to the writer in the commentary, it sounds like the advertisement was somewhat partial. It does not appear to have people from other ethnic groups. Galileo also discovered with his telescope that many more stars exist than are visible to the naked eye. According to author E.B., Galileo also found sunspots upon the surface of our star and discovered the phases of Venus, which confirmed that the planet circles the sun inside Earth s own orbit (45). Galileo was also curious about how things move, and this curiosity led to important discoveries in physics. For instance, he questioned the then current belief that heavy objects fall faster than light ones. In order to refute this, Galileo did many experiments. For example, it is said that he dropped two different weights from the Tower of Pisa to show that they hit the ground at the same time, a demonstration that paved the way for Isaac Newton s Laws of Motion. Galileo also tested his theory by rolling balls down an inclined plane at various angles. These experiments lead to Galileo s the law of falling bodies. This law states that all objects will fall at an equal rate when accounting for relatively minor differences in aerodynamics and weather conditions. Another discovery Galileo made with regards to motion was about the pendulum. The author of An Inquisitive Mind Kim Zarins wrote about the experiment: Galileo made two pendulums with string of equal lengths and a lead ball at the end of each. Then he pulled one ball back twice as far as the other, and let them both go at the same time. He expected to see the ball with the longer swing take a longer time to move back and forth. In fact, both pendulums moved in perfect synchronization! They swung at the same rate, even though one pendulum was moving twice as far and one ball was heavier than the other (41). ... From the Hindenburg blimp exploding, to the Japanese invasion of China, and the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Many events happened that year that would forever alter the course of history. Henri Matisse, an eclectic soul, would make his mark upon 1937 as well with Woman In A Purple Coat. This piece would cause all who came before and after him to rethink how they would make their legacy, as Matisse moved the bar to previously unobtainable heights through this work. The first thing you notice in Matisse s painting is the purple coat that Lydia Delectorskaya, his lover of many years, is wearing. This coat, an exotic Moroccan costume, with its bold and vivid color, jumps right out at its viewers. While Lydia reclines for her pose, the vase of flowers and fruit on the table in the foreground become apparent to the audience. As do the bold shapes and patterns that are on the walls, with their incredibly bright colors, outlined with thick lines. The lines Matisse used creates a certain symmetry within the frame. His perspective lines give order and dimension to an otherwise visually busy art work. Henri used bold, thick lines to create definition, even using the back end of the brush to scrape away paint to leave exposed canvas to create his effects. Matisse was a pioneer within his profession. He was often criticized for his lack of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The deterioration in Sino Soviet relations between 1958 1969 is due to a number of different factorssome historians argue that conflicting personal rivalries between Mao and Khrushchev contributed to the split until 1964, however other historians argue that other factors influenced the deterioration. This shows a clear confliction in national interests, and a cause for a deterioration in Sino Soviet relations was the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968. Due to this, Mao introduced his policy of active defence towards the USSR and this was because of his paranoia that the USSR could try to assert dominance over China. This shows a clear confliction of national interests as the USSR was preventing China from expansion and this added to the initial ideological and personality disputes stated above. Therefore the deterioration in Sino Soviet relations was due to conflicting national interests more than personality and ideological clashes as from this, both sides clearly wanted different things, conflict between them was inevitable. Finally another argument that some historians put forward is the Ussuri River dispute in 1969 where both sides shared a common border. This was one of the most important reasons for the deterioration in relations because it was the first time both sides came into direct conflict with the other during this in which on the first day, over 30 Soviet soldiers died. Molière s adversaries claimed that under the fake motive of trying to expose hypocrisy, he actually sought to undermine the foundations of religion itself. This is an allusion to the promised land of the Jews, where in Numbers 13:27 it states We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit (Zondervan 207). Both lands were bursting with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
