Society is set up into a hierarchical triangle that essentially determines social class. A social class is
any person or group of people with the same educational, social or economical status. Social class can
be broken down into many different categories such as race, age, gender, economic status, educational
status and many more. Social class can be measured in many different ways such as financial status,
family values, appearance, and demeanor. In America there are six main economical social classes
which are the: Very poor, Poor, Working class, Middle class, Upper middle class, and the ruling class.
The very poor class contains all citizens that have a very low economic status. Most have no economic
security, are unemployed, and have no education after high school. American citizens in this class
have just enough money to survive. The poor class includes any American citizen who does not have
enough money to have basic necessities. The working class includes American citizens who have
enough to provide basic needs for their family. They do not have some of the simple luxuries; if they
do; they have to save up to buy it. In the middle class, most citizens go to college. People in the
middle class do not necessarily live paycheck to paycheck, but have enough money to spend on

urgency within the reader, as to why they should care and how they can go about being effective in
working with these new organizations. However, I chose not to use this piece in my final project. The

While this book is by all means a reputable source of information, the book was published in 1998,
almost twenty years prior to my presentation, making the source out of date. Though many of the

My patient is a 47 year old female who was admitted into the University of Kentucky hospital on
September 9th, due to acute respiratory failure with hypoxemia. She was in respiratory distress and
had an altered mental status. Her chief complaint was shortness of breath.
Her medical history showed a history of strokes with left hemiparesis/aphasia, seizures, hypertension,
chronic systolic and diastolic dysfunction, mechanical aortic valve replacement, depression with
psychosis, nephropathy, and GERDS. She currently resides in a skilled nursing facility. Initial
assessment of my patient revealed she had an increased work of breathing using accessory muscles
she had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius. Vital signs included, respiratory rate 31, blood pressure 130/85,
breath sounds were diminished with crackles in the bronchioles. Chest physical examined revealed
increased fremitus and a dull percussion note.
After arriving at the emergency department at U.K. hospital, my patient reported to having choked
while eating breakfast on 9/7/16. She also mentioned that she frequently chokes while eating, so this
was not a surprise to her. She reported that she had another spell with pneumonia previously this year
as well as having difficulty breathing. She was placed on a bipap with 100% FIO2, with some

The descriptive claim made by Psychological Egoists is that humans, by nature, are motivated only by
self interest. Any act, no matter how altruistic it may seem on the outside is actually only a disguise
for a selfish desire such as recognition, avoiding guilt, reward or sense of personal goodness or
morality. For example, Mother Teresa is just using the poor for her own long term spiritual gain. Being

example, he could opt never cheat his customers simply because he knows that honesty is good for
business. He could cheat his customers and make a boatload of money, but he knows that it is wrong
