Renewable Energy Is An Energy
INTRODUCTION:
Renewable energy is an energy that is generated from natural resources such as sunlight, rain, wind,
tides and geothermal heat that are renewable (not be depleted when used). In the year 2008, at about
19% of the total global energy consumed came from the renewable energy sources and with 13%
coming from traditional biomass and 3.2% from the hydroelectricity. New renewable energy sources
such as small hydro, modern biomass, solar, geothermal, wind and some bio fuels have accounted for
another 3% and these are growing rapidly. The renewable share in electricity generation is 18% and
the 18% comprises of 15% of hydroelectricity and the rest 3% from new renewable energy sources.
In the renewable energy sources, Wind power is growing at a rate of 30% annually, the capacity of
wind power installed worldwide is 158 GW in 2009 which is widely used in Europe, Asia and the
United States. By the end of 2009, PV (Photovoltaic) installations surpassed 21 GW and photovoltaic
power stations are most popular in Germany and Spain and solar thermal power stations are operated
in US and Spain, the largest of these have the capacity of 354 MW. Largest geothermal power station
installed in the world is The Geysers in California with a rated capacity of 750 MW. Brazil has one of
the largest renewable energy programs in the world that involves production of ethanol fuel from
sugar cane. Now 18% of the country s automotive fuel is provided by ethanol.

Ssg Arroa s Squad At Fort Indiantown Gap
SSG Arroa s squad moved cautiously down the path that the Sergeant had marked to the main gate at
Fort Indiantown Gap. The rest of the first platoon had held back as well as the company to provide
cover for the advancing squad. SSG Arroa had cleared about a hundred yards past the main gain
without any problems. They encountered no resistance, but several booby traps, which they disabled.
Their orders were that once they were able to breach the main gate, they were to begin to remove the
barricades, which consisted of everything but the kitchen sink, several cars that had been pushed into
the front of the gate, chairs, benches, large rocks, mounds of dirt, and a couple of desks. SSG Arroa
sent Corporal Reyes to his Platoon Sergeant and told him to send more men to help clear the
barricade. There was no way he could provide security for him and his men as well as move
everything out of the way. SFC Dittmyer was the Platoon Sergeant; the man was not a great thinker
and a very poor leader. He had decided to send one more squad to help SSG Arroa; why the entire
platoon didn t move was lost on SSG Arroa. Once they had cleared the gate everyone was supposed to
move through it so why wait. However, SSG Arroa knew it wasn t his job to wonder why the Army
did things. His job was to execute his orders to the best of his ability. Second Squad led by SSG Dane
moved out of their position in the woods running toward the main gate, down the path and meeting up
with first squad.

Personal Experience Reflection Paper
On Tuesday, January 2, 2018, we arrived for our prearranged scheduled meeting at 9: 40 AM, for our
planned 10:00 AM, UNUM Field Visit with Ms. Veronica Alvarez at the Starbucks coffee shop,
located at 11979 Garvey Ave. El Monte, CA 91732. The Field Representative continue to wait for Ms.
Alvarez that she was late for her 10 o clock appointment, when she arrived at 10:30 AM, as she exited
from a four door white Kia compact vehicle. Ms. Alvarez who was recognized from our previous
meeting with her on December 19, 2017, when she had refused to provide her statements since she
was legally represented was observed driving the said vehicle. Miss Alvarez was seen exiting the
driver side of the car as she walked in a normal gait towards our direction where we waited for Ms.
Alvarez inside the Starbucks coffee shop. We noted that the vehicle appeared to be a newer vehicle
which had a paper rear license plate.
Before Ms. Alvarez met with us at the coffee shop, we noted that she did not ambulate with any
walking devices or walking canes. She did not appear to be in any pain or any discomfort as she had
both of her hands to her side while she swayed back and forth with both of her hands to her side as she
walked briskly across the parking lot.
When Ms. Alvarez walked into the restaurant, she used her right hand to push the last door leading
into the Starbucks coffee shop. When she entered the coffee shop, Miss Alvarez apologized for being
late for her scheduled meeting while she offered

Commutated To American Folk Music
permutated to American Folk Music, in 1985 he said:
The thing about rock n roll is that for me anyway it wasn t enough ... There were great catch phrases
and driving pulse rhythms ... but the songs weren t serious or didn t reflect life in a realistic way. I
knew that when I got into folk music, it was more of a serious type of thing. The songs are filled with

Essay on All the Presidents Men
All the President s Men is a book by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward. The book discussed what
happened to President Nixon in the Watergate Scandal from Bernstein and Woodward s point of view.
The Watergate Scandal was a significant part of presidential history. This even would result in Nixon s
resignation and what would have been his guaranteed impeachment. The Watergate Scandal took an
impact on politics as a whole. Politicians are known as liars and people who keep secrets from the
public. The Watergate Scandal is something Nixon can never make up for, but will always
beremembered for.
Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward were the investigative reporters to the Watergate scandal.
Bernstein was a reporter at the Washington Post; he had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nixon had seven men who had helped him the whole time. These men are known as the Watergate
Seven . The Watergate Seven involved John Mitchell, H.R. Haldeman, Kenneth Parkinson, Charles
Colson, Gordon Strachan, John Ehrlichman, and Robert Mardian. The Watergate Seven did many
different things in the Watergate Scandal. They broke into the Watergate hotel, wiretapped phones and
attempted burglaries. The Watergate Scandal was truly the biggest political scandal in United States
History. Over forty people where charged with crimes relating to the scandal. Bernstein and
Woodward were given a fantastic oppourtunity to uncover something truly significant in history. The
twenty one months of investigative reporting done by these two men would ruin Nixon s name and
make these two common everyday reporters lives change forever. Woodward first got his life
changing call on June 17th 1972 with his editor telling him about a small invasion of the Democratic
Party Headquarters. With being related to the scandal, two members of President Nixon s cabinet,
H.R. Hadlemen and John Ehrlichman, quickly resigned. When first thought of the president even
having something to do with the Watergate Scandal, he made every effort to possibly hide this career
ruining event. The break in was first found by a security guard by the name of, Frank Wills. Wills saw

An Article on Rapid Urbanization
Rapid Urbanization
Comparative Governments Politics
This article is on Rapid Urbanization, by Jennifer Weeks, explains how cities around the world are
quickly growing especially in the slums. It discusses what brings people to city in the first place and
how that goes into the affect of pollution in the cities. The article also asks us questions like, Does
urbanization make people better off? , Should governments limit migration to cities? , and Can we
make large cities greener? . The main reason that people are moving into the cities all across the world
is for the work that is offered in them. Many people think that moving to the city will solve any issues
with money and they hope for better incomes with all the opportunity that the city can offer. Often
people are fleeing desperate economic conditions, says David Bloom, a professor of economics and
demography at Harvard University s School of Public Health (Weeks 185). Many people realize that
moving to the city does not in fact solve financial issues and so they end up packing into a house or a
shack in the slums with others, in other words, living in poverty. The article mentions that when
nations attract foreign investment they in turn create more jobs, factory jobs, that bring people to city
who leave the farming and agriculture behind them. This started happening in the nineteenth century,
and the cities that were really affected by it were those of developing countries. Then during the

Seventh Day Adventist Controversy
The development of the Seventh Day Adventists church has not come absent from controversy.
Discrepancy has been in our midst since our origins, at times, even theological misunderstandings
have also been part of the development of our doctrines. In spite of disagreements, it has been the
church s efforts to avoid an officially adopted creedal statement, preferring as a denomination an open
end theology. This has been treasured by the church because it allows new light to penetrate, but at the
same time creates room for different biblical understandings to emerge, which could lead to confusion.
Perhaps one of the most controversial issues in the church was the publication in the year 1957 of the
book called, Seventh day Adventists Answer

Mccullers Response Essay
McCullers s Response
It is amazing how McCullers creates such a comfortable setting infused atmospheric world, where the
plausible actions of the characters are not questioned but however are accepted in this a bizarre love
story that takes place in a café represented as a hub world. The story is very weird but the content
within it holds unto elements of reality. Even when McCullers plays with linearity in flashbacks
everything seems to fit in perfectly and the implication on the reader is that they accept whatever the
book has to offer without question. The point of view is wacky considering it is in a third person that
breaks form and in moments goes into a meta fiction like state with an omniscient narrator who not
only accurately describes the actions going on back takes it upon himself/herself to give his/her own ...

Even the descriptions of the characters are odd with one being a hunchbacked dwarf who can tear up
at any given time. The love triangle even goes as far as to incorporate up to six lovers all bedding with
someone else. The best technicality that McCullers s works with though is the asymmetrical
relationship between the ones who are being loved in comparison to their actual beloved companion.
The structure being broken up into six different stories also is another experimental aspect that
McCullers nails out of the park by having each story describe a different aspect or perspective on love
while all six connect to the overall narrative. It is weird because each piece can work as a standalone
but also work together just as well. McCullers s Structure fits her overall theme by being this
fascination of observing the loneliness of the grotesque freaks whose odd appearances matches the
structure of the novel. McCullers creates a bizarre but believable world through

The Canadian Community Health Survey
Purpose of the CCHS:
The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) is a federal cross sectional assessment that aims to
obtain health related information at the regional tier. This series of surveys gathers population level
data linked with health status, health care usage, and the root causes affecting overall health.
The CCHS aims to document emerging health trends that can assist in population health research and
additional health surveillance programs. Furthermore, the effective utilization of the CCHS can serve
as a platform to improve the well being of all Canadians and raise awareness about health concerns
and innovative health strategies.
When did it start and why?
The CCHS is a joint effort of Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada,
and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 1991, the National Task Force on Health
Information highlighted various discrepancies with the collection and management of Canadian health
data. As a result, a Health Information Roadmap was constructed and a framework for the CCHS was
developed. The CCHS initiative began surveying in 2001, and, in 2015, the CCHS implemented a new
collection mandate resulting from a redesign project that included significant content modifications.
Cross sectional Survey v. Longitudinal

Ferris Bueller s Day Off Anthropology
Ferris Bueller s day off is a comedic movie that shows a young high school boy going through
difficult lengths to avoid going to school one day, through the deception of his family and school
administrators to enjoy the day with his best friend and girlfriend. Throughout the movie, Ferris shows
the audience and those around him that life is really short by saying that Life moves pretty fast. If you
don t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. The narration of the film creates a
solution to real world problems such as stress, anxiety, and depression by displaying a way to
eliminate it. During the movie Ferris turns and speaks directly to the camera (audience). By doing this

In the beginning of the movie Ferris mentions, I m so disappointed in Cameron! Twenty bucks says he
s in his car right now debating on whether or not to go out. Ferris faces the audience and lets them
know what his best friend Cameron is probably doing at that moment. The scene is then followed by
Ferris spot on prediction of Cameron s actions. This implies the close friendship that the two have
because of how well Ferris is able determine Cameron s actions. From this scene the audience is able
to see how Ferris must always talk Cameron into doing things that he is not accustomed to because of
his different upbringing. Another instance of Ferris directly speaking to the audience is when he says,
Life moves pretty fast. If you don t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. This quote
sums up the theme of the movie. It is a timeless quote that will continue to remain relevant in life.

One of the reasons why it should be banned is because it involves permanent deforestation. According
to the Appalachian Voices Organization, This means not only lost wildlife habitat, but also the steady
disappearance of a forest system that naturally captures and holds carbon dioxide, one of the
greenhouse gases responsible for climate change. For this reason, mountaintop removal is becoming a
cause of global warming due to many things such as deforestation, which exposes carbon stored in
trees and soil and releases it into the atmosphere. Because of mountaintop removal, many animal
habitats are being destroyed, threatening many endangered animals In addition, The loss of trees,

According to the Appalachian Voices Organization, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency notes
that iron and manganese concentrations surpass drinking water guidelines in at least 40% of wells on
the Appalachian Plateau, and in about 70% of the wells near reclaimed surface coal mines of the
region. This proves that many communities local drinking water are being poisoned by the chemicals
and waste left behind from the mountaintop removal sites that has entered their water supply and
many water streams. Coal slurry, a waste left after washing and processing coal with water and
chemicals, also gets into to their drinking supply and extremely dangerous because it is highly toxic
and it can leach into groundwater. Furthermore, On August 20, 2004, a bulldozer pushed a boulder
weighing half a ton from a mountaintop removal site in Appalachia, Virginia. The falling boulder
crashed into the side of a residence, crushing 3 year old Jeremy Davidson in his sleep. This
demonstrates that mountaintop removal is terribly dangerous most especially to local communities
affected by it because the debris and explosions from mountaintop removal can destroy nearby
buildings and potentially kill someone. Mountaintop removal should be banned because it is a threat

Lack of Communication
Lack of Communication in a relationship

There are two crucial elements in effective communication: relaying a message and receiving a
message. It is just as important to communicate the message as it is to ensure the proper message is
received. Effective communication is vital to personal and business success. Often, companies provide
employee training on how to communicate effectively. This essay focuses on listening and receiving
the message the other person is trying to communicate.

Reflections on Privatization and Criminal Justice Essays
Reflections on Privatization and Criminal Justice
Thank you very much for the welcome, and for giving my talk. When the Fraser Institute called me
last year, they rang up and said they were having a conference and we would like to invite you, and I
thought I think you have the wrong person. Basically, everybody else there, except myself and one
person from Nova Scotia, were in favour of privatization and very strongly in favour of it, especially
with respect to prisons. It was actually very educational and interesting to engage in that debate. First
of all I would like to thank you very much for the invitation and to wish you all the best with your new

So on the one hand we are surrounded by the phenomenon and on the other hand we don t know as
much about it as we should. Even my own work, I might add, privatization is more or less a tangent
for me as I do other areas of research. I think it is indication that very few people in Canada,
criminologists, are systematically focussing on this but I keep getting roped back into this. I just wish I
had three lives at once so that I could pursue it the way I really want to. Privatization is an area that
really needs attention, and lets hope that students here at St. Thomas are going to take this up. Let me
just mention one or two topics that need attention. Many people talk about privatization in criminal
justice, including myself, mention that it is likely that private companies will try and influence
criminal justice policy in various places. Yet when you look for the empirical support for this there is
very little factual information there. Or we talk a bit about the decline of the military in industrial
conflicts, the end of the Cold War, and new markets opening up for these companies internationally
and we see some of the companies moving from the United States into Britain, Australia and now also
Canada, and we hear things about them moving into Latin American countries and East European
countries, but again this international dimension is one that there has been very little systematic
research on. So the whole area is just begging for

How to Change an Automotive Air-Conditioning Evaporator
How to Change an automotive air conditioning evaporator.
There are four parts to replacing the evaporator. The first part is to prepare the air conditioning system
for removal of the evaporator, the second part is the removal of the evaporator, the third part is the
reinstallation of the evaporator, and the fourth part is the proper testing to verify that the repair was
successful.
First we ll cover the preparation of the a/c system for the removal of the evaporator. The first step is to
identify the type of refrigerant in the system using a refrigerant Id machine. The second step is to
recover the refrigerant from the system using a recovery machine, be sure to use the correct machine
and fittings for the type of refrigerant in the system, usually R 12 or R 134a. The third step would only
apply if the heater hose(s) have to be removed to gain access and that is to drain the coolant from the
radiator into a clean container. The fourth, and final, step is to remove any covers, braces, brackets,
wiring harnesses, or heat shields that would restrict access to the evaporator.
Now we ll cover the removal of the evaporator. The first step is to remove the liquid line from the
metering device, either thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) or fixed orifice tube (FOT). If there is an
O ring, be sure to remove and discard it. The second step is to remove the suction line from the
evaporator (on systems with a TXV) or accumulator (on systems with an FOT). Again if there is an O
ring, be

‘The Metamorphosis’ and ‘A Hunger Artist’
There are many parallels and differences between Franz Kafka s The Metamorphosis and A Hunger
Artist . Kafka portrays these differences and similarities very effectively through his utilization of
elements such as transformation, dehumanization, and dedication to work. Through his works, Kafka
communicates with the reader in such a way that almost provokes and challenges one s imagination
and creativity.
Kafka is known for his highly symbolic and oblique style of writing. It is no surprise that several of
his pieces contain the same major themes, just in different settings. The fact that he repeats his styles
only makes the message that he is trying to convey much stronger. In both The Metamorphosis and A
Hunger Artist , the main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In A Hunger Artist, the main character s lack of fulfillment causes him despair. He reacts to this
disparity by starving himself, almost as if showing resistance to the outside world. He views himself
as separate from everyone else, thus confining himself in a cage (Bedford 636).
Another evident similarity between the two works is the treatment of the characters. Both Gregor and
the hunger artist are treated inhumanely. This is clear in The Metamorphosis when Greta begins to
think of Gregor as an it (Metamorphosis 51). Although Gregor has transformed physically, he is still
human inside. Everyone around him fails to see that though, and only regard him by what they see,
which is a bug. Likewise, the hunger artist is not treated as a human being either. The hunger artist is
infatuated with being the best faster in Europe. This obsession deprives him from forming any social
or long lasting relationships. His alienation eventually accounts for his demise, along with the fact that
he is constantly misunderstood. The people who come to see him, as well as the people who guard
him, do not understand that he is not fasting for amusement. Fasting beyond the forty day limit is
important to the hunger artist, but no one can comprehend why, which creates a barrier between the
hunger artist and the outside world. Because of this barrier, people treat him as if he is just another
animal in a cage. When he joins

Lord Byron s View Of Prometheus
For hundreds upon hundreds of years, writers have utilized poetry to express a certain feeling. To do
this, poets rely primarily on pathos to make the reader feel something and allow them to identify with
the poet himself. Master of establishing mood, which Merriam Webster defines as, a distinctive
atmosphere or context, Lord Byron never fails to communicate his exact thoughts. With the precision
and accuracy of a surgeon, he manipulates words and sentences to say exactly what he means nothing
more, nothing less. Lord Byron uses words to convey his reverence of and thanksgiving towards
Prometheus, ad his hatred of Zeus.
According to some versions of the Greek myth, Zeus tasked the Titans Prometheus and Epimetheus

Prometheus when the Titan only acted out of pity. Using phrases like, the deaf tyranny of Fate, and,

strains with different fixation level in natural rhizobia populations were described by Miller Sirois

symbiosis is likely explained by the partner choice model as the bacteria are not transmitted vertically

The nodule number was significantly higher in roots inoculated with the non fixing strain than the N2

Women And Female Characters In Homer s Medea
Another of Greco Roman mythology s strongest and most prominent female characters is Medea.
Throughout her different iterations, Medea is shown to be closely associated with the female ability to
give and withhold life. First of all, she was a disciple of Hecate who, aside from being the goddess of
the moon, witchcraft, and crossroads (Brooks, Lesson 12: Perseus and Demeter), is described in
Hesiod s Theogony as a nurse of the young (455) and having the ability to increase[e] stock in a pen
[...] if she wills in her heart she can multiply them or make them diminish (446 449). Consistent with
Hecate s abilities, Medea s plot against Pelias, described in Ovid s Metamorphoses, revolves around
her ability to give life by return[ing] the vigor and bloom of youth (7.215). Additionally, in Euripides
Medea, she tells King Aigeus that she will put an end to [his] childlessness (716) and help him beget
heirs of [his] blood (717) in order to ensure that Athens will grant her asylum after executing her
revenge on Jason (679 758). Overall, Medea is shown to be a woman with great control over life.
However, she does not only grant it, she also exercises her ability to take it away. Medea kills her own
children as a part of her plan to take revenge on Jason, stating that if die they must, I shall slay them,
who gave them birth (Euripides 63). She also kills Creon s daughter, stating that never shall [Jason]
beget children by his new bride (Euripides, Medea 803 804), which results in a complete loss of all his
current and potential heirs. Ultimately, the play ends with Medea escaping without punishment for her
actions, and this fact seems to affirm a mother s rights over the life they have given. A similar situation
can be found in Ovid s Metamorphoses, where Procne kills her son and serves him to her husband,
Tereus, for dinner as retribution for the rape and mutilation of her sister (6.620 674). It is a particularly
fitting punishment as it violates Tereus body in a similar manner, by forcing him to contain something
unwanted, and allows Procne and Philomela to retake the control that was stolen from them. Not only
do both mothers kill their children the one thing they have an inherent right to control

Eraserhead is a 1977 surreal, psychological horror film written and directed by david lynch. It stars

The chacracter of henry seems to have trouble in all these areas and desperatly wants to escape his life

Lynchs use of surrealist imagery in this film is arresting, if not nightmarish at times. An example
would be the dinner scene when henry is asked to carve the chicken by marys father, as soon as he
sticks a fork in it, its legs begin to move whilst it oozes blood. In certain scenes we share in henrys
confusion and shock at the events occuring around him, a testament to lynchs direction and jack

without his intervention to stop them, by the end of the film however he determines to free himself

Similarities Between Columbus And Charles Lindbergh
This essay will include the journeys of Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh when they d
gone across the Atlantic Ocean. They both made a mark in history, but what did they do? In this essay,
the similarities and differences between their journeys will be discussed, as well as the 400 year gap
between them. Their hopes that they wanted to accomplish, challenges they faced, and skills that they
had used to help with the success of their journeys will also be included.
Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh both went across the Atlantic, so that is a start for
similarities. More similarities between their journeys included the facts that both men were looked at
differently after achieving their goals. People respected them and felt hope instead of being weary of
what the world held. Charles Lindbergh and Christopher Columbus both faced many challenges when
crossing that great expanse of water, but they both succeeded.
Though both men went across the Atlantic Ocean, they did differ on lots of things. Most differences
are simple to point out; the other ones require some thinking. Columbus started his journey in 1492
and Lindbergh started his in 1927. The simple differences include the fact that Columbus sailed across

Neil Postman s Exploration Of This Issue
As everyone knows society has many problems, however many do not realize that root of these
problems may stem from the way they are discussed and presented. When a person compares how
information was obtained and current issues were discussed prior to this century they come to find that
the contrast between now and then is so outstanding. It s completely clear why many people aren t
aware of what has been happening. The reason the difference is so profound is because our discourse
has gradually been dumbed down since the beginning of the information era, and people are treating
the serious issues that arise as entertainment. The most powerful culprit being television, has being
accused of causing damage to the people that were raised in the TV era. Neil Postman s exploration of
this issue in his novel written in 1985, Amusing Ourselves to Death, is a crucial hint of the
consequences of being immersed in a culture that is driven by television. Even though it has been 20
years since the book was published the influx of internet only makes his novel more and more relevant
to today than it was when it was written
Postman s key argument is the comparison of two tremendously different imagined cultures in
literature. The first came from the English novelist, George Orwell s dictatorial society novel, 1984.
The other view came from English writer and philosopher Aldous Huxley s novel called Brave New
World. In George Orwell s version people are oppressed from an external force and

The Changes Within The Student Population At The Moment...
Abstract
Here we discuss the various changes that are happening around us because of the technologies that are
to be made in order to discuss the changes within the student population at the moment and the role
which is played by technology. Then it is shown how the changes are being made in society can affect
the requirements for graduates who are about to be employed. These requirements are brought into
light by the fact that technology integration will play a larger role in changing our teaching
environments for better teaching outcomes so that the support can be bettered for developing top notch
thinking skills essential for the 21st century. Which has led to the raise of emerging learning theories

Also by the year 1999 it is found that an unexpectedly a larger percentage (96.95%) of kindergarten
students can access computers either home or school. Based on some statistics, even poor students
who might not access the technology at home are utilizing it by either using the available resources in
the library of their school, or in a classmate s house. These statistics prove that technology has a vital
role in the lives of students. It has helped to verify why an educator presume the change is essential in
teaching and learning methods. If students are so engaged in using the technology outside the
classroom, they value it. Then it would be logical to assume that if technology were merged into the
classroom learning environment has to be more purposeful to the students. Considering the fact that
all parts of society are changed significantly in an unseen way by information technology and has
been continuing the change so that the future will not be neglected. Schools have to adopt these
changes and research must advance with the belief that technology is and will exist to be an expanding
component in the educational system. This is the actuality why the students are so involved when it
comes to the usage of technology. It is a herculean task to progress in a world which is run by
technology and not be affected by it.

overly sexualised in the older games. In the latest Tomb Raider game she is attractive, realistically

The Importance Of Internet Privacy
The purpose why internet privacy be invented is because the scientists hoped that the hardware,
software and data in its network system can be protected from accidental and malicious damage,
alteration, disclosure. Also wanted its system can be continuous and reliable Running, network service
is not interrupted, etc. But as for today, there are still lots of aspects like viruses and rogue software
are unchecked. The causes of virus and rogue software s rampant are both human factors and systemic
vulnerabilities.
In today s Internet world, Internet security seems to be considered an outdated idea. Instead of making
security a priority, technology companies see it as an added way, not as a security measure. This can
be referred to now there are many unsound places in the construction of Internet security. But at the
same time, some technology companies and the government set special legal restrictions on them, but
also can reflect its sound aspects.
Obviously, legislation is the most effective and direct way to limit cybercrime and improve cyber
security. In the original, there was no law that would prevent cybercrime from taking place. The
company collected data about people s internet access, assembled it into detailed profiles, and sold it
to advertisers or others without a request for permission. So it is best to see the support that appears on
the web and the minimum privacy standards that are turned off. The article states that the Obama

Character Analysis Of Nora Helmer In A Doll s House
Character Analysis of Nora Helmer in A Doll s House Imagine a world where Susan B. Anthony did
not right for a woman s right to vote or Katharine Hepburn did not defy Hollywood s ideal view of the
traditional female movie star. Women have not always been given such a voice or granted such a place
in marriage and society as they have today. In large part, the level of equality men and women share in
the present time is due to the bold and brave feminist literature writers of the nineteenth century. One
such writer being Henrik Isben who, in 1879, wrote his play A Doll s House. A Doll s House centers
around the character of Nora Helmer, wife to a wealthy, domineering husband, Torvald. As a
nineteenth century wife, Nora was conflicted throughout the play with the male chauvinistic view of a
woman s role in marriage and society and her own aspirations of self identity. In Act I of A Doll s
House, Isben introduced Nora to the audience through the viewpoint of how society thought of women
during that time childlike, uneducated, dependent, and submissive. The first act of the play starts off
when Nora had returned home from Christmas shopping, and Torvald was in the study. Singing and
giddy, Nora was excited for the Christmas festivities ahead for her husband and children. She snuck
macaroons from her pocket and ate them quickly and secretively, like a child sneaking a cookie before
dinner. Nora asked Torvald to come out of the study to see what she had bought. Several times

The Risks of Belly Fat
The accumulation of belly fat is far more than an aesthetic issue. There are a number of health risks
that are directly associated with the accumulation of belly fat. According to the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention, obesity has reached epidemic levels, with more than a third of the nation s
population qualifying as obese. To exacerbate the matter, the obesity rate among minors is at 17

Hidden Health Risks
According to WebMD, the fact that visceral fat originates in the orifices within the body, the absence
of a substantial amount of visible fat can give a person a false sense of security as far as their health is
concerned. What makes this even scarier is the fact that by the time a person recognizes that they have
belly fat, it will have been accumulating for some time.
Assessing the risk is actually rather simple. Even if belly fat is not visible, its presence will cause the
waist to expand. Health experts suggest that the easiest method for assessing risk is to use a tape
measure to measure the waist the larger the number the greater the risk. For women, a waist measure
of 35 inches or more is cause for concern, while a 40 inch waist for men should send up a red flag.
In addition to heart disease and insulin resistance, the existence of visceral or belly fat include a higher
risk of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, colorectal cancer and sleep

Chapter 4 If It s Square, It s a Sonnet (**online chapter, so no page numbers**)
A sonnet can charm readers by its form, such as imagery, language, style, and wordplay.
A sonnet must be closely related but requires a certain shift taking place as well.
Most sonnets have two parts: one of 8 lines and the other has 6.
Petrarchan sonnet intertwines two rhyme schemes: the octave and the sestet.
Shakespearean sonnet divides the 14 total lines by 3 groups of 4 (the quatrains), and the last 2 being a
couplet.
The basic pattern for a sonnet is 8/6.
Poems require lines and stanzas, so it explains why a poem is structured in lines, but written in
sentences.
Form (aka: shape) might have its own significance; some authors prefer sonnets over poems that
requires everything to be perfect.

Persuasive Essay On Decriminalizing All Drugs
We all have an interest in making sure teens grow up healthy and drug free. John Walters Would you
like to live in a safer, drug free community? I do and here is how to start: by decriminalizing all drugs!
Since Richard Nixon coined the phrase War on Drugs in 1971, America has failed miserably to reduce
the consumption and traffic of illicit drugs from outside our borders. Although a heavy portion are
against decriminalizing drugs because of short term consequences and health concerns in public
communities, Portugal s evident sixteen year experience with drug decriminalization has proven
otherwise with significant, long term positive outcomes. However, due to the long lasting and
persuasive positive outcomes of decriminalization, it is vital that the U.S. strongly reconsiders the
prohibition of all drugs for the health and economic benefit of our communities. Obviously, there will
be short term consequences but also benefits too. Unfortunately, the hype of decriminalizing drugs
will cause an increase in the number of users but it is important to note that a considerable amount of
those being newly documented are closet junkies finally being revealed. As Dr. Caitlin Hughes, a
member of the Drug Policy Modelling Program of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre
puts it, Portuguese decriminalization did not lead to major increases in drug use. Indeed, evidence
indicates reductions in problematic use, drug related harms and criminal justice overcrowding
(Hughes; Stevens). As this research shows, the predictions on Portugal s well being after the
decriminalization of all drugs were incorrect and the complete opposite occurred creating healthy and
safer communities because of awareness. Bringing our attention back to the increasing number of
users within the hype years, public safety is a large concern where communities will have a difficult
time adapting to the new policy and becoming accustomed to a new culture and lifestyle. On the
contrary, I find a few years of craziness to be minimal in comparison to the long term achievement
that this law intends to achieve. Portugal has proved that decriminalization reduces drug use, drug
related harms, and criminal justice overcrowding. João Goulão,

Gait is the most important function of daily living activities for all human beings. As physical
therapists and researchers we are particularly interested in evaluation of gait. There is a distinct
necessity for objective measurement of gait because without it the excellence of treatment decisions is

since health care resources are becoming more strained and health care providers are held more

taken into account. Some main ones include:
 the views of the child (depending on age)
 each parent s ability/ willingness to encourage a close and continuing relationship between the child
and the other parent
 the possible effect of change on the child
 the nature of the relationship between the child and each parent
 any family violence/family violence order that applies to the child or their family
International laws often play a large role in the development of laws and legislation of the Australia
Legal System. An example of this is the United Nation s Convention of the Rights of the Child,
otherwise known as CROC . This has been endorsed by Australian Family Law and has become the
basis to which the best interests of the child were formed.
In the case of Bruce and Douglas [2014] FamCA80, proceedings relate to parenting arrangements for
the child L Douglas, between the applicant Ms Bruce, who is the child s mother, and the respondent
Mr Douglas, who is the child s father. The child, aged two and a half years at the time of the hearing,
has lived with her mother since her birth in April 2011, and has spent very limited time with her father.
The mother seeks orders that the child

Employee Relations
1. The Employment Relationship
According to the International Labour Organization (2015), the employment relationship is defined as
the legal link between employers and employees. This exists when a person performs work or services
under certain terms and conditions in return for remuneration.
Employee Relations are influenced by a number of internal and external factors, all of which affect the
strategic balance between labour and management. It is important that we are aware of the key factors
influencing employee relations in order to strike a proper balance within the working environment.
Internal factors
According to the Oxford Dictionary (2015), a trade union is defined as an organized association of
workers in a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Self employed According to Gov.uk (2015), self employed people are defined as individuals who are
in business for themselves and provide a service to multiple clients. They have far greater control over
how and when to deliver the service and who delivers it. They will usually be better able to protect
their own commercial interests, although they will bear any financial risk from the business they
operate.
It is important to determine an individual s employment status as it assists with differentiating or
establishing their rights and entitlements under the employment contract as well as the Employers
legal requirements. These entitlements may be in relation, but not limited to healthcare schemes,
bonuses, paid holiday or sick pay, Leave days and period for termination notices. These entitlements
often vary between different employments statuses.
Insurance is another key factor that may vary between

Theme Of Poverty In Harry Potter
One of the most prominent examples of this issues is poverty. Multiple characters are portrayed in the
series as living in poverty, from the Weasley family to Remus Lupin. But this poverty is created due to
a limitation of magic creating a scarcity of resources such as food and other goods. As Rowling said in
an interview Something that you conjure out of thin air will not last. (World Exclusive) If we posit a
world where magic is limitless, families like the Weasleys would not exist. Limitless magic would
mean that anything could be conjured permanently, so there would be no such thing as a scarce
resource. Anthony Giddens suggests that one definition of a post scarcity society is the one given by
Marx, where there is abundance for everyone. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though magic has allowed wizards to expand their lifespans, they are still limited by the threat of
death. There are limited forms of immortality avaliable for wizards, but usually these come at a
horrible cost. In the first book, it is revealed that drinking unicorn blood allows the drinker to stay
alive even if they are almost dead (SS, 258). But the cost of that is that the drinker is cursed from there
on out because they murdered an innocent and pure being to gain that power. Similarly, Horcruxes are
items that contain a fragment of the creator soul which can anchor them to life, but can only be created
though an act of murder. In Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Professor Slughorn says that
Horcruxes are created By an act of evil the supreme act of evil. By committing murder. Killing rips
the soul apart. (HBP, 498). Throughout the series it is clear that the books focus on the murder of
innocents as the ultimate crime. This negative view of the pursuit of immortality and the attack on
murder is in alignment with the dominant social order today. It goes without saying that murder is bad,
but this is under the assumption that death is permanent. If anyone who was killed could immediately
be brought back to life using magic, then death would lose a significant bit of meaning. Rather than
being lost forever, the person would merely be

Rhetorical Analysis Of John F. Kennedy s Assassination
When one hears the name Kennedy, what comes to mind? Many families have multiple icons in the
American political scene; the Kennedys are no exception. Many think of President John F. Kennedy
and his assassination. Others reflect on Jacqueline Kennedy and her elegance, style, and grace. Still
others think of Ted Kennedy, Caroline Kennedy, or Rose Kennedy. Others remember yet another
Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, New York Senator and brother of President John F. Kennedy, who
sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1968. On April 4, 1968, he spent the entire day
campaigning in Indiana. First going to the University of Notre Dame then proceeding to Ball State
University and finally finishing in the capitol, Indianapolis, he thought the day successful. Having
heard the news of Martin Luther King, Jr. s assassination, he decided to deliver a speech at the rally to
break the news to the mostly African American audience. While telling of the tragic loss, Kennedy
incites the audience to believe that America can overcome King s assassination by utilizing the
rhetorical strategies of pathos, allusion, and anaphoras. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kennedy, assassination. He tells his audience that they may be filled with hatred and mistrust but that
he, too, experiences in my[his] own heart the same kind of feeling. The audience acknowledges that
Kennedy felt the despair and hardship they now feel. When Kennedy continues talking about the
United States need to make an effort, the audience trusts him and listens to what he has to say about
the conflict. By using pathos to connect with his audience, Kennedy gains the audience s trust and

Renewable Energy Is An Energy INTRODUCTION: Renewable energy is an energy that is generated from natural resources such as sunlight, rain, wind, tides and geothermal heat that are renewable (not be depleted when used). In the year 2008, at about 19% of the total global energy consumed came from the renewable energy sources and with 13% coming from traditional biomass and 3.2% from the hydroelectricity. New renewable energy sources such as small hydro, modern biomass, solar, geothermal, wind and some bio fuels have accounted for another 3% and these are growing rapidly. The renewable share in electricity generation is 18% and the 18% comprises of 15% of hydroelectricity and the rest 3% from new renewable energy sources. In the renewable energy sources, Wind power is growing at a rate of 30% annually, the capacity of wind power installed worldwide is 158 GW in 2009 which is widely used in Europe, Asia and the United States. The rest of the first platoon had held back as well as the company to provide cover for the advancing squad. SSG Arroa had cleared about a hundred yards past the main gain without any problems. They encountered no resistance, but several booby traps, which they disabled. Their orders were that once they were able to breach the main gate, they were to begin to remove the barricades, which consisted of everything but the kitchen sink, several cars that had been pushed into the front of the gate, chairs, benches, large rocks, mounds of dirt, and a couple of desks. SSG Arroa sent Corporal Reyes to his Platoon Sergeant and told him to send more men to help clear the barricade. There was no way he could provide security for him and his men as well as move everything out of the way. SFC Dittmyer was the Platoon Sergeant; the man was not a great thinker and a very poor leader. He had decided to send one more squad to help SSG Arroa; why the entire platoon didn t move was lost on SSG Arroa. Once they had cleared the gate everyone was supposed to move through it so why wait. However, SSG Arroa knew it wasn t his job to wonder why the Army did things. His job was to execute his orders to the best of his ability. Second Squad led by SSG Dane moved out of their position in the woods running toward the main gate, down the path and meeting up with first squad. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Before Ms. Alvarez met with us at the coffee shop, we noted that she did not ambulate with any walking devices or walking canes. She did not appear to be in any pain or any discomfort as she had both of her hands to her side while she swayed back and forth with both of her hands to her side as she walked briskly across the parking lot. An Article on Rapid Urbanization Rapid Urbanization Comparative Governments Politics This article is on Rapid Urbanization, by Jennifer Weeks, explains how cities around the world are quickly growing especially in the slums. It discusses what brings people to city in the first place and how that goes into the affect of pollution in the cities. The article also asks us questions like, Does urbanization make people better off? , Should governments limit migration to cities? , and Can we make large cities greener? . The main reason that people are moving into the cities all across the world is for the work that is offered in them. Many people think that moving to the city will solve any issues with money and they hope for better incomes with all the opportunity that the city can offer. Often people are fleeing desperate economic conditions, says David Bloom, a professor of economics and demography at Harvard University s School of Public Health (Weeks 185). Many people realize that moving to the city does not in fact solve financial issues and so they end up packing into a house or a shack in the slums with others, in other words, living in poverty. The article mentions that when nations attract foreign investment they in turn create more jobs, factory jobs, that bring people to city who leave the farming and agriculture behind them. This started happening in the nineteenth century, and the cities that were really affected by it were those of developing countries. Then during the twentieth ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The story is very weird but the content within it holds unto elements of reality. Even when McCullers plays with linearity in flashbacks everything seems to fit in perfectly and the implication on the reader is that they accept whatever the book has to offer without question. The structure being broken up into six different stories also is another experimental aspect that McCullers nails out of the park by having each story describe a different aspect or perspective on love while all six connect to the overall narrative. The Canadian Community Health Survey Purpose of the CCHS: The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) is a federal cross sectional assessment that aims to obtain health related information at the regional tier. This series of surveys gathers population level data linked with health status, health care usage, and the root causes affecting overall health. The CCHS aims to document emerging health trends that can assist in population health research and additional health surveillance programs. Furthermore, the effective utilization of the CCHS can serve as a platform to improve the well being of all Canadians and raise awareness about health concerns and innovative health strategies. When did it start and why? The CCHS is a joint effort of Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 1991, the National Task Force on Health Information highlighted various discrepancies with the collection and management of Canadian health data. As a result, a Health Information Roadmap was constructed and a framework for the CCHS was developed. The CCHS initiative began surveying in 2001, and, in 2015, the CCHS implemented a new collection mandate resulting from a redesign project that included significant content modifications. Kafka is known for his highly symbolic and oblique style of writing. It is no surprise that several of his pieces contain the same major themes, just in different settings. He reacts to this disparity by starving himself, almost as if showing resistance to the outside world. He views himself as separate from everyone else, thus confining himself in a cage (Bedford 636). Another evident similarity between the two works is the treatment of the characters. Both Gregor and the hunger artist are treated inhumanely. This is clear in The Metamorphosis when Greta begins to think of Gregor as an it (Metamorphosis 51). Although Gregor has transformed physically, he is still human inside. Everyone around him fails to see that though, and only regard him by what they see, which is a bug. Likewise, the hunger artist is not treated as a human being either. The hunger artist is infatuated with being the best faster in Europe. This obsession deprives him from forming any social or long lasting relationships. His alienation eventually accounts for his demise, along with the fact that he is constantly misunderstood. The people who come to see him, as well as the people who guard him, do not understand that he is not fasting for amusement. • 23. Women And Female Characters In Homer s Medea Another of Greco Roman mythology s strongest and most prominent female characters is Medea. Throughout her different iterations, Medea is shown to be closely associated with the female ability to give and withhold life. First of all, she was a disciple of Hecate who, aside from being the goddess of the moon, witchcraft, and crossroads (Brooks, Lesson 12: Perseus and Demeter), is described in Hesiod s Theogony as a nurse of the young (455) and having the ability to increase[e] stock in a pen [...] if she wills in her heart she can multiply them or make them diminish (446 449). Consistent with Hecate s abilities, Medea s plot against Pelias, described in Ovid s Metamorphoses, revolves around her ability to give life by return[ing] the vigor and bloom of youth (7.215). Additionally, in Euripides Medea, she tells King Aigeus that she will put an end to [his] childlessness (716) and help him beget heirs of [his] blood (717) in order to ensure that Athens will grant her asylum after executing her revenge on Jason (679 758). Overall, Medea is shown to be a woman with great control over life. However, she does not only grant it, she also exercises her ability to take it away. Medea kills her own children as a part of her plan to take revenge on Jason, stating that if die they must, I shall slay them, who gave them birth (Euripides 63). She also kills Creon s daughter, stating that never shall [Jason] beget children by his new bride (Euripides, Medea 803 804), which results in a complete loss of all his current and potential heirs. Ultimately, the play ends with Medea escaping without punishment for her actions, and this fact seems to affirm a mother s rights over the life they have given. A similar situation can be found in Ovid s Metamorphoses, where Procne kills her son and serves him to her husband, Tereus, for dinner as retribution for the rape and mutilation of her sister (6.620 674). It is a particularly fitting punishment as it violates Tereus body in a similar manner, by forcing him to contain something unwanted, and allows Procne and Philomela to retake the control that was stolen from them. Their hopes that they wanted to accomplish, challenges they faced, and skills that they had used to help with the success of their journeys will also be included. Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh both went across the Atlantic, so that is a start for similarities. More similarities between their journeys included the facts that both men were looked at differently after achieving their goals. People respected them and felt hope instead of being weary of what the world held. Charles Lindbergh and Christopher Columbus both faced many challenges when crossing that great expanse of water, but they both succeeded. Though both men went across the Atlantic Ocean, they did differ on lots of things. Most differences are simple to point out; the other ones require some thinking. • 27. Neil Postman s Exploration Of This Issue As everyone knows society has many problems, however many do not realize that root of these problems may stem from the way they are discussed and presented. When a person compares how information was obtained and current issues were discussed prior to this century they come to find that the contrast between now and then is so outstanding. It s completely clear why many people aren t aware of what has been happening. The reason the difference is so profound is because our discourse has gradually been dumbed down since the beginning of the information era, and people are treating the serious issues that arise as entertainment. The most powerful culprit being television, has being accused of causing damage to the people that were raised in the TV era. Neil Postman s exploration of this issue in his novel written in 1985, Amusing Ourselves to Death, is a crucial hint of the consequences of being immersed in a culture that is driven by television. Even though it has been 20 years since the book was published the influx of internet only makes his novel more and more relevant to today than it was when it was written Postman s key argument is the comparison of two tremendously different imagined cultures in literature. The first came from the English novelist, George Orwell s dictatorial society novel, 1984. The other view came from English writer and philosopher Aldous Huxley s novel called Brave New World. Women have not always been given such a voice or granted such a place in marriage and society as they have today. In large part, the level of equality men and women share in the present time is due to the bold and brave feminist literature writers of the nineteenth century. One such writer being Henrik Isben who, in 1879, wrote his play A Doll s House. A Doll s House centers around the character of Nora Helmer, wife to a wealthy, domineering husband, Torvald. As a nineteenth century wife, Nora was conflicted throughout the play with the male chauvinistic view of a woman s role in marriage and society and her own aspirations of self identity. In Act I of A Doll s House, Isben introduced Nora to the audience through the viewpoint of how society thought of women during that time childlike, uneducated, dependent, and submissive. The first act of the play starts off when Nora had returned home from Christmas shopping, and Torvald was in the study. Singing and giddy, Nora was excited for the Christmas festivities ahead for her husband and children. I do and here is how to start: by decriminalizing all drugs! Since Richard Nixon coined the phrase War on Drugs in 1971, America has failed miserably to reduce the consumption and traffic of illicit drugs from outside our borders. Although a heavy portion are against decriminalizing drugs because of short term consequences and health concerns in public communities, Portugal s evident sixteen year experience with drug decriminalization has proven otherwise with significant, long term positive outcomes. However, due to the long lasting and persuasive positive outcomes of decriminalization, it is vital that the U.S. strongly reconsiders the prohibition of all drugs for the health and economic benefit of our communities. Obviously, there will be short term consequences but also benefits too. Unfortunately, the hype of decriminalizing drugs will cause an increase in the number of users but it is important to note that a considerable amount of those being newly documented are closet junkies finally being revealed. As Dr. Caitlin Hughes, a member of the Drug Policy Modelling Program of the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre puts it, Portuguese decriminalization did not lead to major increases in drug use. Indeed, evidence indicates reductions in problematic use, drug related harms and criminal justice overcrowding (Hughes; Stevens). As this research shows, the predictions on Portugal s well being after the decriminalization of all drugs were incorrect and the complete opposite occurred creating healthy and safer communities because of awareness. Bringing our attention back to the increasing number of users within the hype years, public safety is a large concern where communities will have a difficult time adapting to the new policy and becoming accustomed to a new culture and lifestyle. On the contrary, I find a few years of craziness to be minimal in comparison to the long term achievement that this law intends to achieve. Portugal has proved that decriminalization reduces drug use, drug related harms, and criminal justice overcrowding. João Goulão, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
