I think Disney is the obvious choice to blame for the portrayal of weak women. I mean, Disney
resolves around the idea that women need rescuing, that we are the damsels in distress. I, being

Imagination is a crucial part of humanity. From the depths of the human mind, brilliant ideas can
emerge. The Disillusionment of Ten O Clock by Wallace Stevens, dramatizes how the average
person has lost all sense of imagination. The speaker focuses to comment on the white night
gowns of the people being observing, highlighting how typical and mundane their lives have
become (2). The poem then carries on to explain how they could have nightgowns that are purple
with green rings,/Or green with yellow rings or adorned with decorative trim, but the people still
choose to wear the same, white nightgowns (4 5). Finally, the poem concludes with the speaker
saying that the people will not have extravagant dreams; but sailors in their drunken states will

Stevens, again, was very meticulous in using both a pirate and red weather. The pirate is the
antithesis of the people he is focusing on. Pirates are adventurous, bold, and place their faith in
abstract concepts like mermaids and treasure maps. They are not haunted by houses or suburbia
(1). Pirates are free to imagine what they want and when. The red weather part of the poem is
Stevens s way of exploring the pirate s own imagination. Since he is free to allow his mind to
roam, he can come up with obscure ideas like red weather. It does not make sense that the weather
is red, but that is the point. The reader is supposed to question why the weather now has color, and

resources and capabilities.
After reviewing the 12 bases of differentiation, Nike s equipment division focuses primarily on
product features, consumer marketing, reputation, linkages among functions in the firm, and links
with other firms.
Product Features: Product features is an obvious way in which Nike differentiates their products by
altering the features of the products they have on the market. Product features encompass the
characteristics of their equipment products provided by Nike. Nike is able to produce high quality
products through focusing on design and innovation. The current President and CEO, Mark Parker
stated, At Nike, we believe it is not enough to adapt to what the future may bring we re creating the
future we want to see through sustainable innovation. The company has built their legacy upon
continued improvement and innovation as they focus on their product features. However, Nike
does offer a variety of equipment products, which will be assessed more with the VRIO
breakdown. It may be difficult to have the resources available to gain a competitive advantage
among all the different product lines in which they are involved.
