Likewise, Cultural aspects are deemed a high priority in establishing greater quality care, and are
considered within each aspect of the Giger and DavidHizar Transcultural Model. The Giger and
DavidHizar Transcultural Model, is a model used in healthcare to establish how care is provided
and what to consider when implementing care. It is devised of communication, space, social
organization, time, environmental control, and biological variations. Each aspect is discussed in
depth, giving relevance in a specific culture; Hispanics. Within the culture title of Hispanics, we
expand further to specifically discuss family and children in relation to this model. Furthermore,
how providers intervene in cultural implications that arise in the healthcare setting, reflects how

Control is an obvious action to handle while manipulation is much more without knowing toward
the person. When people says about manipulation, they would mostly says that it is either a
person lie or withhold the truth to get someone to change themselves, giving them the false

Grief And Grief Of Grief
Grief is a part of life that is simply unavoidable. People grieve over a multitude of different
things. For instance, when one thinks of grief they often immediately think of death; that a
person has to experience the loss of a loved one to understand and go through the grieving
process. However, grief is defined as deep sorrow, so anything causing one to feel a deep sense of
sadness can cause them to go through the grieving process. The process of griefconsists of five
stages. The first is denial, where one is surprised and shocked to the point of disbelief. The second
stage is anger, where one is just mad that it happened in general. Then they enter the third stage of
depression, where they are done being mad, but are instead incredibly sad and are having a hard
time even functioning. The fourth stage is bargaining, where one grieves their own life and
begins to bargain with God and question what they could have done differently. Finally they then
reach the fifth and final stage which is acceptance, where one is able to think upon the event and
have happy thoughts. I have experienced grief in my life already more than a couple of times,
and all being due to different types of unfortunate events occurring. Though, I specifically
remember going through every step in the grieving process after the death of my good friend
Sam. When my best friend Jacob woke me up with a call to inform me that Sam was dead, I

In both poems, there are similarities in the narrator s attitudes towards their women. Both narrators
show an unnatural possessiveness towards them, presenting an unattractive, all encompassing
jealousy that wanted to eclipse all other interests that their women may have. It means that in each
poem, the narrators end up killing their wives. In Porphyria s Lover , the narrator justifies his
actions by saying he wanted to preserve the perfect moment in time.

At that point of pure passion, the narrator s lover belonged to him totally the repeated words mine,
mine emphasise this. To stop the struggles and conflicts that would prevent them from seeing each

Impact Of Slavery On The Indian Ocean
Slavery in the Western Hemisphere has had an unmistakable impact on the the world and for those
who live in the United States of America, it s impact is still seen today. For the most part this
impact has been negative on the United States seeing as though it brought about immense racial
tension between blacks and whites which is still today, crippling the nation. This type of slaverydid
not allow for upward mobility in the slave community. Seeing that Slavery across the Indian
Ocean was not based upon race, and more upon social class and sexuality, there was more of a
sense of upward mobility in the Indian Ocean slave trade than there was in the transatlantic
slave trade which involved more brutal treatment based upon race. Today, slavery is known as
one of the most inhumane acts of mankind. Slaves were brought over from their countries,
mainly from the western and southern coast of Africa, to work for the Europeans without pay.
Not only were they without pay, they were brought over in boats, packed on all decks of the ship
in such a way that was comparable to a can of sardines. Slaves were taken and shipped to
countries in South America and North America, to work on plantations to harvest plants such as,
Tobacco, Cotton, Sugarcane, and Indigo. These slaves worked 20 hour days on these plantations
and were rewarded with slave quarters which were in most cases in unlivable conditions. No
matter what state of health a slave was in, they were expected to work

Characteristics Of Feudal Monarchs
Monarch
During the High Middle Ages, feudal monarchs began to exercise royal authority. Some succeeded
in centralizing power and built the framework for nation states, for example, Britain and France.
Monarchs play the highest economic role or social hierarchy under the priest. King John, for
example, was a clever, cruel and untrustworthy ruler. He caused challenges for his economy by
creating enemies with other rulers such as King Philip II, and Pope Innocent III. He even turned
away his own English nobles. John suffered his first setback when he lost a war with King Philip
II. He had to give up his land in both Anjou and Normandy. John then battled with Pope Innocent
III over selecting a new archbishop of Canterbury. He rejected the pope s nominee. This led to
the pope excluding and preventing him and his entire kingdom from participating in church
services. John had to accept England as a fief of the papacy and pay a yearly fee to Rome. On the
other hand, a potential benefit was the Magna Carta. It was a document John was forced to sign. It
affirmed a long list of feudal rights that gave rights to the towns people. It would also shape
political and legal traditions in England. Furthermore, it made it clear that the monarch must obey
the law.

Nobles could both be men or women. Their economic role is directly under the monarch and side by
side with the clergy. Noblemen balanced an interesting combination of activities and responsibilities

Examples Of Beauty In Dancer From The Dance
In the novel Dancer from the Dance the author uses beauty and aesthetics in many different
ways. The author uses beauty and aesthetics in ways such as, the night life in the city, the
relationships between the characters in Dancer from the Dance, the clothing that the character s
wear, and the way each character looks. The characters in Dancer from the Dance feel like
themselves when they are able to dress, act, and go places where they won t be judged by others.
The author shows the reader that during the day the characters have to hide who they really are so
that they won t be judged by society, but at night the characters are free to do what they want and
won t be judged for it because they will be with others like themselves. The characters do the things
that they do because that is who they are, and there is beauty in those things.
The characters in Dancer from the Dance dress in normal clothing during the day so that they can
fit into society. One of the main characters in the novel is Andrew Sutherland. Andrew Sutherland
dresses as a drag queen at night when he goes out to gay bars at night. He dresses as drag queen
because that makes him feel like himself. For some gay males, clothing is a semiotic
marker for identity creation. (Schofield). Sutherland is a man that has money and a sense for

Political parties have a big role in our government. Norton.com states A political party is a team
of politicians, activist, and voters whose goal is to win control of the government. There are two
types of political parties the most popular are the republicans and democrats. The second type of
political party is third parties. Popular third parties are the green and libertarian party. Political
parties have a big role in the government by their political views, by selecting candidates, mobilize
voters, and monitoring the opposing party. One of the political partys roles in the government is
sharing their political views. Every four years political parties write their party platform. A party
platform is a written document listing that parties views and beliefs. Candidates will run under
their party platforms views during an election. If the candidate is elected he or she will vote for
things in their favorable view. This means a government official will run the country under their
party platform, and they will vote for things in their favor and their party favor. Republicans are
pro life, against medical marijuana, and against LGBT laws. Democrats are pro choice, for
medical marijuana, and for LGBT laws. The two main parties have opposite views and beliefs
and that why their platforms are so different. Parties share their political views with the public to
gain support from people that share the same views and beliefs. Parties will also share the
opposing party s views to gain more support for people against those views. Political parties also
have to nominate candidates to run our country like the president and vice president. Political
parties have a big role in the government by selecting candidates. To select a candidate political
parties must go through a two step process recruiting and nominating candidates. Parties are looking
for someone that meets the requirements of the position that they are recruiting for, an unblemished
record, a credible candidate, and the ability to raise money. The next step in the process is
nominating a candidate. The party will nominate the candidate with a higher chance to win. A
candidate can be nominated at a convention or caucus, through the primaries, or

The Discovery Of Gold Rush
The westward expansion of the United States in the 19th century and the astonishing success of
that expansion can be traced back to the discovery of gold. The California Gold Rush was an
event that forever changed the West and sparked the dream of endless riches for many
Americans and people worldwide. The year was 1848, and a man by the name of James Wilson
Marshall, while working on the construction of a mill, came across nuggets of gold at the base of
the Sierra Nevada in the Sacramento Valley. Wilson and his employer, John Sutter made
attempts to keep their discovery a secret but soon enough the news got out and spread like
wildfire. It wasn t until 1949 that people from all over made their journey to California to have
their share in the riches of gold. There were two main means of travel for those who wished to
take part in the gold rush, both were of month s travel, six to be exact. One method included a
boat voyage down the tip of South America while the other offered a treacherous travel through
the wilderness of the mainland. Both were extremely dangerous and expensive. Those whose
dream of riches that made the trip to the California became known as 49ers as in that year, and
those following, caused an enormous influx of population as hundreds of thousands of people
flooded into mining towns. The Americans who made the trip came with an idea that they would
make it big due to the over exaggerated newspaper articles that at most times boarded on fantasy.

The aim of this experiment is to observe and record the rate of the blue water in the dialysis tube
diffusing into the beaker containing different concentrations of salt over 20 minutes to see what
effect the concentrations of salt has on the rate of diffusion. The hypothesized of this
experiment is that the blue water in dialysis tube 3 will have a faster rate of blue dye diffusing
into the salt water in beaker 3. Beaker 1 will have the slowest rate of blue dye diffusing from the
dialysis tube into the salt water and beaker 2 will result in a colour in between beaker 1 and 3.
This is because the concentration of salt in the beaker is higher than the water in the dialysis tubes
so the salt water will go into the dialysis tube while the blue water in the dialysis tube will diffusion
into the beaker. This experiment was performed by measuring out the same amount of water into
each of the 3 beakers and adding different amounts of salt to each one to change the concentration. 3
dialysis tubes containing water and 3 drops of blue dye were tied at one end, then tied at the other
using cotton thread before placing them one each into the different concentrated beaker cotton tied
end facing down. After 20 minutes the results were observed and recorded into the results table.

The Stones Cry Out: Analytical Essay In Hikaru Okuizumi s book, The Stones Cry Out , we
follow a man named Manase through his life after the war. Although this seems like just a look on
a mans life, there are many themes that tie us in. Hikaru uses many literary elements to develop
those themes. Four of those elements are complication, false assumptions, flashbacks, and
foreshadowing. Although there are many key themes, the two I noticed the most were the
psychological effects of war and family complications due to the loss of a loved one.
