Our purpose of doing this lab was to prove the Hess s law correct. Hess s law
suggests that the enthalpy change of a reaction must be equal to the sum of the
enthalpy changes of the related reactions which lead to the original reactions. The
following are the reactions at the lab; 1) NaOH ( s) NaOH (aq) 2) NaOH (aq) + HCl
(aq) NaCl (aq) + H2O (l) 3) NaOH (s) + HCl (aq) NaCl (aq) + H2O (l)
As explained before, Hess s Law states that the enthalpy change of reaction three
(О”H3) should be equal to the sum of the enthalpy changes of the first two reactions

intrigued and focused. Overall, I am pleased with my paper. I had several issues in
figuring out how to correctly write in APA format, but hopefully I figured it out. I
feel successful about my paper. Each assignment we had incorporated itself into this
final project. That made the difference between an okay paper and an excellent paper

which door opened she could not live with the one she loved.
First, the princess despised the girl behind the door because she believed that the girl
tried to take the love of her life from her, so she did not want him to open that door.
The princess would watch in horror because in her mind, she saw her love open
the door with the tiger, but more often she saw him open the door to reveal a

I am from Charlotte, NC where we receive an average amount of rain, nothing too
crazy. Coming to school in Norfolk I was first introduced to what flooding actually
was. It was beautiful day prior, and suddenly it began pouring down raining. In
about 10 minutes the streets were flooded. Staff had to take students to the other
side of campus in their own cars. The underpasses were filled with so much water,
that no cars could get through. Later on that was when I was informed that Norfolk
is below sea level causing it to floodwhen it rains. Coming from a city where it

light present in the painting. With his arms raised it seem as once a plea for
mercy, and a mirror image of the crucifixion. This is an evocation of christ s agony
on the cross, which refers back to the stigmata present in Picasso s Guernica.

depicts Picasso s hardships and how he had to overcome them throughout his life.
This painting is a very provocative scene, that contains a variety of symbolic

It s no surprise that the correctional system in the United States could use a bit of a
makeover. First off, the major increase of incarcerating inmates has now caused the
issue of overcrowding prisons all over the United States, some reaching as high as

The only important thing in life is hard work (Gilb 483). In the short, story
Hollywood By Dagoberto Gilb. Luis, and his wife Marta, and their son Ramon are
Hispanic, but only Ramon speaks English. There are conflicts between each other
and others act on the beach. They see things differently than other, particularly Luis
