2. Political Socialization Is A Particular Type Of Political...
Political Socialization is a particular type of political learning where people
develop the attitudes, values, beliefs, opinions and behaviors that are conducive to
becoming a good citizen in their country. With political socialization there are
many factors that are present when these views are formed, many are very
apparent like historical events, and a clear effect such as gender, race, and socio
economics status. My own political views were formed the same way as everybody
else were.
Through the first people I came to know, which were my parents. My parents taught
me what the difference between a democrat and a republican were, what role the
president plays in our government, and about our legislative branches which was
based around their own views. When growing up my parents encouraged self
respect and individuality so, this taught me to think about things own my own and
how I felt about them. They also taught me how to conduct myself on a day to day
basis. Being taught these things by my parents made me a very open minded person
and this carries over strongly into how I view politics. I tend to focus on the single
issues that are on the forefront and not on which party is proposing them.
This process could be perceived as Good because of the many factors
That are involved in our political culture. Family, education, mass media, and religion
are just a few of the roles that are used in political socialization.

3. My Experience At An Nyc Real Estate Office
This was the most sensual, erotic encounter I ve ever had. I was just shy of my
23rd birthday, fresh out of college and had a great job at an NYC real estate office.
I m a brunette with an athletic body, green eyes, olive kissed skin, and I ve been
told I have a wonderful ass. My job required me to spend a lot of time showing
potential clients different luxury apartments, so I met lots of new people. Being
single worked well for me, and after ending a long relationship, I was glad to have
the freedom. I spent a lot of times showing people around the city, taking them to
nice restaurants, Broadway Musicals. Life was great. One particular day I had to
show a condo off to a new client, he was from Ohio and had only been to New York
one time. He had recently gotten a job at a major investment firm and needed a
place fast. We had spoke online a few times, and he looked sexy from what I could
see, so I made sure to dress in something that would grab his attention. I wore my
tightest red skirt with red high heels, a tight blouse and a blazer so I d look
professional. My boss had a strict no dating clients policy for our office, but
flirting wasn t dating. I just enjoyed the attention, and it helped get business. My
client, Andrew, was a nice guy and the conversations we had previously were
pleasant. This day we d meet in person for the time. He looked like your everyday,
attractive mid westerner. He had blue eyes that looked like they had come out of a
precious stone.I was
4. Marvin Gaye Biography
When learning the meaning of life through an artist one must take into consideration
what inspired the artist to write, what barriers were in place, what was going on
during the time he put out the music, and how did the artist overcome or succumb to
those issues. This paper will inform you of the criticism and memories Marvin Gaye
faced while creating his album What s going on. The black community as able to
have hope and something that allowed the black community as a whole. He was

This paper will inform you of the criticism and memories Marvin Gaye faced while
creating his album What s going on. The barriers that he faced while creating this
album was that maybe the people were not ready to receive the message that he set
forth himself. He also put his career at risk by making a such a high political
statement by pointing of how the inequalities are being overlooked. Take his song
inner city blues were the lyrics are as followed inflation, no chance to increase
finance, Bills pile up sky high, send that boy off to die, make me wanna holler, the
way they do my life. This speaks on the restraints that money has on us. We need to
figure how to live with what we have before our brothers end up dying in a war
(Gaye, 1971, track 9). The significance of the lyrics points out the struggle the
America were having in their life. When analyzing these lyrics, you could almost be
feeling like the ghetto screaming out to be heard by the people that are in power. He
pleads to please stop the war. So, that our people can stop
5. Mother to Son Essay examples
Every mother would like to see her child succeed in life. The following passage
from the poem, Mother to Son , by Langston Hughes demonstrates the love and
concern a mother has for her son. She teaches him using her own life as an
example; her life as a climb up a staircase. The imagery from the advice given in the
stanza is explicit and poignant: Well, son, I ll tell you: Life for me ain t been no
crystal stair. It s had tacks in it, And splinters, And boards all torn up, And places
with no carpet on the floor Bare (line 1 7). The metaphor in this poem conjoins life,
and a staircase, Well, son, I ll tell you:/ life for me ain t been no crystal stair. The
mother says to her son, that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her life, as a stair, had splinters in it. When a person steps on a splinter, he or she
might scream because it hurts. It is an irritating fragment of wood that anyone
would want to remove from his of her skin. Since her life is full of splinters, it is
full of frustrating tribulations. As splinters, tribulations are inevitable obstacles in
her life that she has had to stumble upon but desperately wants to have resolved.
Contrast to a crystal stair, the mother climbs the stairs with boards that are torn up.
In life, not only is it hazardous for a person to climb a staircase with boards that are
torn up but also very deadly. There are usually yellow cautions signs to warn
people to avoid such stairways. But the mother has no such pleasure because she
has to climb such stairs in order to endure in her already troubled life. For example,
although it was dark, and dangerous to be out, the mother does not have a choice of
not going to work because she must work to pay her bills. The tacks, the splinters,
the torn up boards, all are used to relate the hardships of the mother s life to the hard
times of climbing up tattered stairs. Contrast to someone s home that has had a
crystal stair, her home is impoverished with uncarpeted floors. With tattered stairs,
the mother also illustrates her floor as being bare. Finally, Bare, one word sentence
is used to describe her life.
6. The Hobbit Cinematic Techniques
In the film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Peter Jackson utilised cinematic
techniques like low key lighting and non diegetic sounds to amplify the emotional
intensity of particular scenes. A case of these cinematic techniques applied to a scene,
is just before Gandalf executes the Great Goblin under the Misty Mountains. Low key
lighting was used throughout that scene enhancing and extending dark shadows
generating action which leads to a theoretical execution. The shadow of the Great
Goblin is flaunted over the dwarfs and Gandalf advocating and demonstrating the
Great Goblin s overpowering reign, size and authority, symbolising the great fear,
anxiety and horror felt by the antagonists. Non diegetic background musicwas

management? If so, how?
* The importance of the worldwide LEGO culture was stressed by management in
2005 and there was agreement that there was shared commitment and recognition of
challenges in turning LEGO into a global brand organization * LEGO Land parks
were developments which entailed setting up presence in countries outside Denmark;
the company applied its philosophy of transferring its values but was careful to
apply hands off localization in a way that would not jeopardize the guidance of the
company headquarters * Because of the homogeneity of Headquarters, LEGO
realized that it would need to become proficient in cross cultural management in order
to continue to provide the guidance which insured the transfer of philosophy; LEGO
regards the high concentration of Danish at HQ as a deterrent to creativity, essentially
learning from their own weaknesses * LEGO placed a strong emphasis on fun to
facilitate cross cultural learning which was not an element of Danish culture, and
thus, the majority of LEGO HQ; LEGO realized the U.K was responsible for
integrating the element of fun into the products and the culture, something which the
Danish would not have done otherwise * Ultimately, credit
8. Barclays Case
CASE SYNOPSIS
On July 2ed, former traders of Barclays are accused of manipulating the Libor
interest, the standard rate of the interest for loans between financial institutions, to
meet their own derivatives potions and make huge private profits. Their dishonest
actions disrespected the customer s rights and damaged the freedom of market. They
behaved disloyally to the financial industry and failed to follow their moral values.
KEY FACTS
Barclays Bank, one of the biggest multinational banking and financial services
companies in the world, headquartered in London. Barclays is the oldest bank of
British, and it has a long history more than three hundred years, which can be
traced to 1690. Barclays is the first bank in the world that owns the Automatics
Teller Machine, and issued the first Visa card in 1966 and the first debt card in
1987 of British. Up to 2012, Barclays was the seventh biggest bank in the world with
the total asset of ВЈ1.49 trillion.
London Interbank Offered Rate (Libor) is widely used as a reference rate for
financial instruments, and highly influences the rates of mortgaged loans markets
and the huge derivatives markets.
According to the pricing mechanism of Libor, generally the final quotation will not
be influenced if minority banks quote higher or lower since the price will be
rejected as the extreme offer. But if several banks quote at the same in a high or low
price, or quote together in collusion, then the final quotation can be easily influenced
9. Taking Back The Vote
For a nation to truly develop everybody should participate in voting. If everyone
will vote then the elected representative will be someone who will represent the
believes and values of everyone or at least the majority. In that way, when the
representative will do something for the nation, everyone will be able to be
benefited from it. However, it is a harsh reality of our society that young people
vote at lower rates than other age groups. There are a lot of reasons for that, for
example, I think most young people are not interested enough in what the politicians
are claiming to in their campaign. Most politician talks about health care, better
economy, and external relations. These topics do not seem interesting to young
people because in most cases they have not been in a situations where they needed
any of those, for example, in most cases senior people need health care, middle age
group need to worry about the economy because they need to feed their kids, and
authorities need to worry about external affairs. Hence, young people end up not
votingbecause their issues are not being discussed in the electioncampaign. According
to Jane Eisner s book Taking Back the Vote, it is two processes. In one side, young
people do not vote because their issues are not discussed in the election campaigns,
and on another side, the politicians... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

from this, in some states, it is requiring having government issued ID to vote. Since

hence they end up not exercising their democratic

In Albert Camus s The Plague, there is a small town call Oran and ever day life is
simple, until one day a man s patient falls gravely ill. The patient has symptoms the
doctor has never seen before and thus ends up dying. This one person s death is the
starting point of something dreadful that would soon fall upon them. Albert Camus
uses the main narrator, Rieux, to show the context of the novel and the effects of the
plagueon the townspeople. In the beginning of the novel the townspeople do not see
the plague as a problem, Camus does this is order to create a litotes in the novel. The
plague show the hardships that one must go through in order to be content with life.

Camus does this to show how the plague has created a physiological conflict
between the townsfolk and themselves. The towns people are seemed as lifeless,
emotionally drained from everything, thus again it creates pathos to the reader.
Once the town started to work together the death rates had started top slowly
decrease. A victim of the plague later on had finally survived and thus it creates a
new beginning that the disease could be stopped. Rieux awaited with much interest
the morality figures that were announced every Monday. They showed a decrease
(265). The number of deaths are finally subsiding and more people are starting to
survive the plague, thus giving the townspeople hope that a new beginning can be
reborn. Camus does this in order to show what may happen when one works together
to overcome an obstacle that has been thrown in one s way of

Breathtaking Experience: Qualities of Great Candies
The average american consumes about twenty two pounds of candy each year. That
is a lot of candy. For people to consume so much, there really must be something
special in them. The unique quality of every candy is what makes the candy
delicious. Similar qualities can be found in all great candies. First, candies with nuts
make them seem a whole lot more desirable. Crunch has a brilliant nutty and crunchy
taste. The nuts add some flavor to the boring chocolate taste. The nuts also provide
the actual crunch. Another candy with nuts is Snickers. Snickers have peanuts to
make its chocolate bar more flavourful. It becomes a great combination with the
added caramel. Lastly, Payday covers its whole surface with nuts. It is most likely the
nuttiest treat out there. Payday mixes its nuts and caramel in every bite you take.

Friendship is a relationship between people who enjoy each other s company and
have the same interests. In Embers, by Sandor Marai we are introduced to General
Henrick and Konrad and the theme of friendship. Henrick is a seventy five year old
man who is a retired general from Hungary, and Konrad is in his mid seventies and
is continuing to live in London. They both have been in a close friendshipever since
they were children back in military academy, but when Konrad leaves to London

Human nature means how a human can think, feel, or act naturally. It actually
seems to make a lot more sense that the general is slowly to overthink this situation.
He is starting to get too obsessed with getting the truth from Konrad on why he
hates him so much or why didn t he kill him when he had the chance during that
morning of the hunt. The general is starting to connect all these ideas into his head
and he begins to conclude that his dead wife Krizstina and Konrad may have
gotten together in the past. The general says to Konrad I cannot grasp what that
reason is. There is one simple, natural explanation, namely that you have been
smitten with a sudden, wild passion for Krisztina, and this, too, could be a form of
madness (Marai 77). The feeling of being jealous can actually ruin a friendship
because many people do not like the idea of their bestfriend being cared and loved
for by someone else. In this situation, the general thinks the reason why Konrad
could have killed him is that Konrad may have feelings for Krizstina and maybe he
did not want the general and Krizstina to be together. Going back to Konrad leaving
to London, the general had a gut feeling that he was not going to see him ever again.
When Konrad came for a surprise visit, surprisingly they were both anxiously waiting

14. The Rise of Hitler and Nazism in Germany
There are many reasons people say as to why the nazi party was created and what
some of the causes were. Throughout the duration of my paper I am going to
explain and discuss some of the major topics that could have led to the rise of
Nazism in Germany, such as the treaty of Versailles and some of the restrictions that
were put on Germany, the loss of the war, and the Weimar Republic
. These are just
some of the reasons that are going to be looked at and discussed.
Germany s beating in World War One made political, economic and social fall in the
Weimar Republic and led to the rise of the National Socialist German Workers Party
(NSDAP) or Nazi party.

They promised too much concessions and aids to a group of voting Germans, who
would be more than ready to accept the Nazi s promises. Hitler also made many
other promises to the German people. One promise came after another. After the
treaty Was signed forcing Germany to pay thirty seven annual payments from
1700 million gold marks to 2400 million gold marks, and then twenty one annual
payments at 1700 million gold marks. This meant that Germany would be making
payments at an average of just over 2000 gold marks until 1988. When this was
brought to Hitler s attention, he said he would not make payments and cursed the
Weimar Government s decision to agree with the plan. Because of this, Hitler
found a colleague in Alfred Hugenburg, head of the largest conservative party the
German National People s Party. Hugenburg ran a massive empire, and used this to
campaign against the treaty and The Enslavement of the German People as they
liked to call it. Even though his attempt to stop the signing of the document was
unsuccessful, Hitler was given a huge amount of publicity, and was given a
reputation as a politician who opposed the restrictions set on Germany after the
embarrassing loss in World War One. As bitterness over the loss of the war was
still close to Germany, Hitler s view on the reparations issue got a lot of attention,
and defiantly added to his popularity as a politician. This is yet another reason why
the Nazi Party got so much support

17. Mean Arterial Blood Pressure
Introduction
Mean arterial blood pressure is the average arterial pressure in a cardiac cycle. It is
set by cardiac output and total peripheral resistance; it sets the average driving
pressure and controls the flow. The pulse pressure is the difference between the
highest and lowest pressure (systolic and diastolic blood pressure) readings during a
subject s cardiac cycle. Both mean arterial pressure and pulse pressure are detected
by baroreceptors. The baroreceptors respond to stretching of the arterial wall so that
if arterial pressure suddenly rises, the walls of these vessels passively expand, which
stimulates the firing these receptors (Ottesen et. al., 2011). If arterial blood pressure
suddenly falls, decreased stretch of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At high plasma concentrations, epinephrine increases arterial pressure because of
binding to О± adrenoceptors on blood vessels, which offsets the ОІ2 adrenoceptor
mediated vasodilation (Oliveira et. al., 2010).
Noradrenaline causes an increase in heart rate, pulse pressure and mean arterial blood
pressure. The drug acts on cardiac muscle to increase cardiac contractility of the heart
which results in increased heart rate, thus increasing cardiac output. It acts on the
systemic arteries which causes vasoconstriction, therefore causing increased systemic
vascular resistance. A rise in cardiac output and vascular resistance causes an
increase in mean arterial pressure. The baroreceptors detect the change and works to
bring the blood pressure back to baseline measurements (Treggiari et. al., 2002).
Vagal stimulation is known to have an inhibitory effect on the cardiovascular system,
causing the slowing or even stopping of the heart. The response is mediated by
muscarinic receptors that activate potassium channels in the supraventricular cells of
the heart. In the sinoatrial node, activation of potassium efflux causes
hyperpolarization and/or decreases the rate of diastolic depolarization (Oliveira et.
al., 2010). Vagal stimulation causes a fall in blood pressure and heart rate. When the
heart is stimulated at a frequency which is close to but not equal to the prevailing
cardiac frequency, then each successive

Microwaves use high powered radio waves generated by a vacuum tube (also known

and they heat up the food by interacting with the water molecules in the foodstuff.
The greatest interaction between the high powered radio waves and the water
molecules occur at the greatest amplitude of the waves, at points on the wave where
the amplitude is equal to zero, there will be no interaction between the high powered
radio waves and the water molecules, so this point is a cold spot within the

22. The Last Duchess By Robert Browning
Art is not just a form of beauty but also a form of power. In it lies deep meaning
and value and often tells a story. Robert Browning s poem The Last Duchess
portrays this power of art, which is evident in how the Duke captures more than just
the image of his former wife in the painting. To him the painting represents his
control and power and tells the tale of his former wife in the way he speaks of the
painting. An analysis of the poem My Last Duchesswill reveal how the Duke uses art
to further the narrative of this poem through symbolism, reveal the relationship with
his former wife and control others.
The writer of this poem Robert Browning is a master at captivating the potential of the
dramatic monologue, here art is expressed by symbolism and it is used as a structure
for the poem. The speaker of this poem who is the Duke holds himself in high
esteem and loves the control his position gives him as an authority. Accordingly,
the Duke shows admiration for his former wife who he killed when he says that s
my last duchess on the wall (line 1). Here he admires her more as an object of art

Dionne; article, Life as Performances: Dramatism and the Music of Lady Gaga
presents that Lady Gaga s song Applause is her pursuit to identify with her fans by
guilt redemption. The author presents guilt as ever present anxiety, brought about by
social standards that motivate communications to behave in certain ways (Dionne,
2015, p. 26). He introduces that Burke asserted that communications create drama by
disrupting, resistor altogether rejecting hierarchies (Dionne, 2015, p. 26). The reason
for presenting these two terms in the paper is because the song Applause
demonstrates the relationship between communications and hierarchies (Dionne,

24. Electron Energy Levels
Atomic Emission Spectra and Electron Energy Levels The electromagnetic spectrum
is the entirety of the wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation, extending from high
energy gamma rays to the low energy radio waves, and in the middle lies visible
light. Visible light of course being the light that the human eye can see. When white
lightis run through a prism, it becomes broken up into different light spectrums, but
visible light can also be emitted from different elements such as when you burn them.
By applying heat, the electrons of an element become excited and they rise to a
higher energy orbital and when the electrons fall back into a ground state,
electromagnetic radiation or light is emitted. These frequencies of light that can be
emitted by an atomis called the atomic emission spectra. Atoms are the simplest
whole unit of matter and consist of a positively charged nucleus that is surrounded by
negatively charged electrons. The electrons of an... Show more content on

Different wavelengths will be emitted as an electron returns to ground state based on
its transition. The higher energy the electron falls from the higher energy the
wavelength will be. This as stated is known as the atomic emission spectra, and
each atomic emission spectra is unique to the specific element and acts as a sort of
fingerprint. A spectrum categorizes wavelengths based upon the respective energy
;levels. The highest energy or shorter wavelengths are on the left while the right
holds the lowest energy or longest wavelengths. Based on this, the energy difference
of an electrons fall from excited to ground is what determines the wavelength of
light. A fall from the outermost shell to the innermost would result in an emission of
high energy wavelength such as gamma or uv rays, while a relatively low fall will
result in low energy wavelengths such as radio waves. The emission spectra helps

25. Magnificent Seven Satire
Western and cowboy movies are two of the oldest types of movie genres ever
made. People have long had a fascination with the wild west and its lawlessness and
often like to revisit it by watching these kinds of movies. So many have been made
that at times it might feel like nothing new can be added to these stories and an
attempt to do so is just revisiting old hat. The Magnificent Seven makes an attempt at
not only adding to the lineage of westernmovies but also retells a story of a movie
considered by some to be a classic. The Magnificent Seven might not live up to the
original movie in the minds of movie critics and typical western movie fans. To the
nontypical western fan that did not see the original it can still hit all the right notes
of action, slight comedy, and violence to keep their interest. Add to that fact we end
up watching a truly diverse group of misfit cowboy grow together to become heroes
for a small western town. The total package is enough for... Show more content on

The Magnificent Seven does its share to keep up that trend. Basically, the movie
spends the whole time building up to the climatic and the epic fight between
Chisolm, and Bogue. The fight does not disappoint in any way, shape or form
either. It can feel a tad bit too violent, but it will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Aside from the final fight scene, there are plenty of other action packed, and
violent scenes to keep you interested like appetizers before the big feast. You could
include the early scene where one of Rose Creek is brutally killed by one of
Bogue s henchmen with a tomahawk. It s a scene that sets the tone for the violence
that is to come. This movie isn t as much about the depth of its story as it is about
action and straddling the line of too much violence. It might be best described as
one movie critic for Rolling Stone writes It s two hours of hardcore, shoot em up
pow and it s entertaining as hell.
26. Media and The Clark Doll Test Essay
One type of character saturates the American media. He acts as the hero in a majority
of movies, TV shows, and books. Foreigners must think that Americans believe the
character superior to others. He or she has one trait that sets him apart from the rest:
white skin. The media tends to idolize this character. If a character is not white, then
common stereotypes prey him or her; they become sidekick, comic relief, or even the
token minority. One commonality stretches through this minority though: they all
need a white male savoir. Media acts a mirror towards the society and owns such a
strong influence over it. Jim Morrison, an American singer, says that, Whoever

Ironically, even the people native to this land has a label; they are considered Native
American. One could argue that those of European descent have been called
Caucasian American or do consider themselves Americans and whatever their
nationality may be. However, if a white woman walks down a street, no one would
question her nationality. If a woman wears a hijab, despite having been born and
raised in the United States, then she will have her citizenship questioned. She may
even be labelled as a terrorist due to the common stereotype that all Muslims are
radicals and only desire to kill in their god s name. Rarely would anyone question a
white person s citizenship based on their aesthetic. If the person s skin tone and
features even slightly, then all the stereotypical questions would come up. Being a
wonderful melding pot of a country, America houses a diverse cast of citizens.
According to the United States Bureau, in 2012, 77% of the citizens consider
themselves white. 16.9% think of themselves as Hispanic or Latino. African
Americans make up 12%. Finally, 5.5% consider themselves as Asians. While 5.5%
seems like a small number, the estimated population of the United States was about
313 million. When put into perspective, this leads to the conclusion that about 53
million Hispanic or Latinos, 37 million African Americans, and 17 million Asians
live within the country. These people may only make up less than 35% of the
country. However, they are still a part of
27. Racial Profiling In Supreme Court Cases
It is my belief that police should be allowed to freely contact defendants and it is the
defendant s responsibility to invoke their rights to remain silent and rights to counsel
on a case by case basis. This paper will explain the difference between a persons
Mirandized counsel rights versus their sixth amendment counsel rights, different
Supreme Court cases over the years that have demonstrated the court s position on
suspects being questioned by police, and how these decisions are affecting the world
of law enforcement today.
The fifth amendment states that a person is not required to testify against himself in
a criminal case, while the sixth amendment gives a suspect the right to a trial by a
jury of their peers. These two work together ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Wisconsin, the defense attempted to argue that once a person has invoked his fifth
and sixth amendment rights to counsel, it pertains to any new charges that may be
brought on the defendant. The Court ruled that there is a distinct difference in the
role of the fifth and sixth amendment right to counsel. If a person is being
investigated for a crime and invokes his fifth amendment rights to deal with the police
through counsel, that will hold for any investigation and questioning on any potential
charges, even new ones. However, they ruled that the sixth amendment right to
counsel is offense specific, (Holland, p. 400). This means that once a person is
formally charged with a crime, they have the legal right to counsel under the sixth
amendment as established in Johnson v. Zerbst, but once that right is invoked by the
defendant, it only applies to those specific charges they are facing. If they are
charged with new crimes, they must then again invoke their right to counsel again
under the sixth amendment in order for these rights to be valid. To further explain,
the Miranda Edwards counsel guarantee is protected under the fifth amendment,
relates to counsel wanted before trial and before charges are formally brought
against a person. The only way for a defendant to invoke their Miranda rights, also
called the Edwards rule, is by actually expressing this wish to authority. The sixth
amendment counsel guarantee comes into effect after charges have been formally
28. All Soul s Day Myths
According to a Roman Catholic tradition, a pilgrim returning from the Holy Land
took refuge on a rocky island during a storm. There he met a hermit, who told him
that among the cliffs was an opening to the infernal regions, through which flames
ascended, and where groans of the tormented were distinctly audible. The pilgrim
told Odilo, who was the head of the monks in a town in eastern France, who
appointed the day following (November 2) to be set apart for the benefit of those
souls in purgatory ( ). What has yet to be investigated is what today s symbols of All
Souls Day mean to those who celebrate it. To accomplish this, I analyze the myths
that surrounded All Soul s Day, and I focus on how the symbols that come out of
these myths help... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, there are some myths that surround death itself. In the Netherlands and
in Mexico it is believed that the souls of the children return to their families on
November first, while November second is set aside for the departed adults. When
the souls return, they come to be with their living relatives. However, they do not
come back to scare or haunt people like many people believe (Quartier, 2010). If
we take a look at the myth deeper we realize that it is a deliverance myth, because
the souls are being reunited with their families. In this context if we look at Joseph
Campbell s Functions of Myth we can relate this myth to the function that says it is
supposed to evoke in the individual a sense of being grateful, affirmative awe
before the monstrous mystery that is existence ( ). The sense of being grateful
comes from the fact that the families are able to be with their loved ones again.
The second myth about death comes from England, Scotland and Wales. The souls
of loved ones come to search for warmth and affection. The living helped these
souls find what they were looking for, by setting up bonfires to lead the way.
Along with the bonfires there were traditions including decorating graves, special
church service, and all night vigils. When the souls returned it was believed at this
time human beings were able to truly see how the world is (Beckman, 2016). This
myth could be seen as deliverance, because it is allowing the souls to come back
to their families along with that the living people are able to see how the world
really is. Then if we look at Joseph Campbell s Functions of Myth we could argue
that the third function about sociological order about what is right and what is
wrong relates to this myth, because the ultimate goal of the souls returning is to
allow the people to see what the world is really

30. Assembly Language
ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE
An assembly language is a low level programming language for a computer,
microcontroller, or other programmable device, in which each statement corresponds
to a single machine code instruction. Each assembly language is specific to a
particular computer architecture, in contrast to most high level programming
languages, which are generally portable across multiple systems.
Assembly language is converted into executable machine code by a utility program
referred to as an assembler; the conversion process is referred to as assembly, or
assembling the code.
Assembly language uses a mnemonic to represent each low level machine operation
or opcode. Some opcodes require one or more operands as part of the instruction, and

The popular arcade game NBA Jam (1993) is another example. Assembly language
has long been the primary development language for many popular home
computers of the 1980s and 1990s (such as the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, Commodore
64, Commodore Amiga, and Atari ST). This was in large part because BASIC
dialects on these systems offered insufficient execution speed, as well as insufficient
facilities to take full advantage of the available hardware on these systems. Some
systems, most notably the Amiga, even have IDEs with highly advanced debugging
and macro facilities, such as the freeware ASM One assembler, comparable to that of
Microsoft Visual Studio facilities (ASM One predates Microsoft Visual Studio).
The Assembler for the VIC 20 was written by Don French and published by French
Silk. At 1,639 bytes in length, its author believes it is the smallest symbolic
assembler ever written. The assembler supported the usual symbolic addressing and
the definition of character strings or hex strings. It also allowed address expressions
which could be combined with addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, logical
AND, logical OR, and exponentiation operators.

The model consist of five major systems; microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem,

She wanted to be able to advance in her current career and in order for advancement;

The third level is the exosystem; it consists of social structures that directly or
indirectly affect a person s life: school, work, mass media, government and various
social networks (Crandell, Crandell, Vander Zanden 2009). For example, if a child
s parent, especially a one income family household, gets laid off and is without
work that may have negative effects on the child if her parents are unable to pay
rent, buy groceries, or provide the necessities. In contrast, if her parent receives a
promotion and a raise at work, this may have a positive effect on the child because
her parents will be better able to give her physical needs. This may have a positive
effect on a child s development and motivate them to work hard and obtain a good
job as an adult. Another example within this system would be the relationship
between a child s school and home, as the rules are often times different for a child
at home and school and being able to keep the two separate can prove challenging
for a child.
This student related the exosystem to her decision because of the economical
recession. With all the rising cost of such things as gas,

Don t listen to the voices around you saying that you can t do it or that you ll never

how it will soon find its way back into your hands again. As you hand over your

* Measure your cup size. Measure completely around the fullest part of your bust. It
the number falls on a half inch, round up.
Now, Subtract your band size from your bust measurement Example: 34 inches
(band) 37 inches (bust) = 3 inches difference. For every inch it s a cup size (i.e. on
inch is an A cup, Two inches is a B cup, etc...) making this cup size a C. We have
now determined the size at being a 32C.
Before concluding my demonstration I would like review a couple things we
have learned today. We ve learned there are a large percentage of women who are
wearing the incorrect size bra. The best way to cure this is to get fitted! It only
takes a few minutes and there are many department stores that offer the service free
of charge. We have also learned that bra s should be comfortable and feel as though
you re not even wearing one. This again is achieved by being properly fitted. Fitting
yourself is easy and can be achieved with a couple of measurements and a little bit of
math skills. Just remember band size bust size= cup size! This concludes my
demonstration on bra fitting. I want to say thank you for listening and I appreciate
your kind attention.

is interesting because it has wide open spaces, lakes, rivers, and forests. I have never
been to oregon.
Oregon is located near the ocean in the north west. It is above California and under
Washington. Their motto is The Union. The Oregonstate flower is the Oregon
Grape. The state tree is the Douglas Fir. The state bird is the Western Meadowlark.
The song is Oregon, my Oregon. The state animal is a beaver. The state fish is a
chinook salmon. The Oregon state rock is a Thunderegg. Oregon has a population
of 4 million people. The capital of Oregon is Salem. The largest city is Portland. The
nickname is the Beaver State. It became a state in 1859. Oregon is also the ninth
largest state in the United States. Oregon sits in two time zones, both Mountain and
Pacific. Some of the major colleges are OSU Oregon state university,University of
Oregon, and the George Fox University. Oregon is important for a couple reasons. In

One of these animals is the black bear, they are the largest carnivores in Oregon.
The Black bear is the only species of bear still in Oregon. The beaver inhabits the
areas around rivers and streams. It is the state due to the it popularity in the early
days fur trading. There are less than two dozen gray wolves in Oregon. They
became almost extinct because they were hunted for killing off livestock. The bald
eagle is the United State s national bird and is common in Oregon, around lakes and
rivers. They make their nests in tall trees by the water. The Chinook salmon, also
known as the King salmon. They live in the rivers and Pacific waters. Along with
Wolverines, Cougars, elk, and the columbian white tailed deer many people believe
sasquatch can be found in Oregon s deep forests. Although, this is not a confirmed
species, Oregon world s only sasquatch
41. Deconstructing The Placebo Effect
The placebo effect is a widely known phenomenon where patients are given some
form of dummy medication in place of actual medication that produces the same
effect as the real medication would have. They are intended to help stimulate areas of
the brain that may prompt the release of chemicals such as endorphins to aid in relief
of the symptom. Tests have shown that forms such as injections psychologically
perform better than pills, because of the slight pain that injections bring ( Freeman,
Shanna. How the PlaceboEffect Works. HowStuffWorks. HowStuffWorks.com, 13
Jan. 2009. Web.). Because of the pain, people tend to believe that the medication
would work better. Placebos can be used to treat multiple different diseases, but has

Placebos are generally used to test medications that have no other similar
competitors that produce the desired effect. The general rule when using placebos
against the medication, is that if the placebo outperforms the medication being
tested then the trial has failed. ( Advantages and Disadvantages of Placebo
controlled Trials. Advantages and Disadvantages of Placebo controlled Trials.
N.p., n.d. Web.). There have been several cases in which the placebo had out
performed the drug being tested, more commonly in pain relief drugs. This is
believed to be due to the objective changes in the brain that releases endorphins in
response to the want of the medication to work. It is known that the greater the
want for the medication to work (placebo in this case), the more likely it is to have
an effect (Freeman, Shanna. How the Placebo Effect Works. HowStuffWorks
Science. HowStuffWorks, 20 July 2016. Web.). In trials for medication in relieving
joint pains, the group given the placebos had almost the exact same results as those
who were given the actual medication. While showing the creators of the medication
that it may not have been exactly what they were looking to produce, it also
displayed the power of the human brain. If the subject believes that the medication
will work in cases such as these, even with a placebo, there is a
42. The Provision Of Fair Benefits
The question does the provision of fair benefits counter a claim that communities
have been exploited in the context of international research? opens discussion to a
complex topic on ethics in international research. The question asks whether the
provision of fair benefits protects research communities, defined as communities on
whom the research is conducted, from exploitation. In order to discuss this question,
it is necessary to first understand what constitutes fair benefits and exploitation in the
context of international research. Whilst several divergences of the definition of
exploitation in international research exist, exploitation in the context of this
discussion is defined as the unfair distribution of risks and benefits... Show more

Whilst low income nations most commonly take on the risks of research, the majority
of benefits achieved through research are shared with communities in high income
countries3,6. Poor healthcare, poverty, illiteracy, cultural and linguistic differences,
limited scientific understanding and lack of or inefficient research regulations and
independent monitoring contribute to the vulnerability of communities in low
income countries to exploitation. Over the last ten years there has been an increased
interest by organisations and sponsors from wealthy countries to conduct research in
low income countries due to reduced costs3,7,8. Emanuel et al. claim that the
prevention of exploitation of study participants and their communities demands the
provision of fair benefits to these communities7. The fair benefits framework aims to
protect communities from exploitation in international research through the fair
distribution of burdens and benefits between involved parties9. The framework
asserts that research participants and their communities are entitled to a fair level of
benefits which balance the burdens and risks participants experience during the
research. As the benefits attained by sponsors and researchers increase, so
43. Socrates Impact On Greek Civilization
The Greek civilization had a magnificent influence in history. Scientific methods, the
Latin alphabet, extravagant art, democracy and philosophy were all created during
this era. Philosophy brought new ideas and ways of thinking. Although, several
people had a major impact on Greek civilization Socrates, Alexander of Macedon and
Solon all influenced the way we live today. Socrates, born in Athens in the 5th
century BCE, marks a watershed in ancient Greek philosophy. Compared to the others
he had the greatest impact on Greek civilization. Socrates challenged and question the
norm. He taught that no one desires what is bad, and so if anyone does something
that truly is bad, it must be unwillingly or out of ignorance; consequently, all virtue
44. Essay on How to Avoid Plagiarism
How to Avoid Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a growing problem in universities (Matheson Starr 2013) and
becoming too common in the scientific world (Ober et al. 2012). Hence it is
important for students as well as researchers to know how to avoid plagiarism.
Before discussing the ways to avoid plagiarism, this paper discusses the definition,
the types and reasons for plagiarism. Copying or borrowing someone else s words
or ideas may perhaps be the more inoffensive way of explaining plagiarism.
However, these two terms may deliver a connotation that plagiarism is not much of a
serious offense. Whether the act of plagiarising is intentional or unintentional, it is
considered as a fraud. In an academic setting plagiarism may even ... Show more

There are surely many other ways of avoiding plagiarism but there are five simple
rules suggested by Ober et al. (2012).
Rule 1: Do not copy It is not a good practice to simply copy what is found in other
people s work, books or even your own writing. If you have to do so, do it properly
by copying it with quotation marks and appropriate citation. In addition to this, it is
good to have a proper time management in which you would have enough time to cite
your sources properly.
Rule 2: Write in your own words Paraphrasing means putting someone else s ideas
into your own words but care must be taken as changing a few words and
rearranging the original sentence is still considered as copying . Hence, though
paraphrasing is commonly suggested as one of the ways to avoid plagiarism it is
much better to avoid paraphrasing and rather use your own original voice .
Rule 3: When in doubt, cite This is one of the ways to avoid plagiarism but it
should not be done excessively. Otherwise you would end up with excessive citation
in your piece of writing and lack of writing in your own words. This is an indication
for you to consider rewriting the paper.
Rule 4: Don t recycle images, figures, tables or text from one of your previously
published papers without citing This is the case of self plagiarising when you
republish a figure from earlier publication but fail to cite the original and obtain
45. The Controversy Surrounding The Palestinian-Israeli
Conflict
An issue as complicated, sensitive, and controversial as the Palestinian Israeli
conflict is not one that can be resolved with a simple solution. It did not begin with
the creation of the Current State of Israel in 1948, but something that has roots
going back to the ancient times. The history of the persecution of the Hebrew
people started with the start of Judaism in ancient Egypt. The Pharaoh of Egypt
who prophesized in his dreams that a child born to the Israelites would one day
grow up and conquer him and his kingdom. The Pharaoh therefore killed every
single newborn male child born to the Israelites. Jumping through time passing the
Roman persecution of the Hebrew people and the death of Jesus to land at Nazi
Germany in World War... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This made him open the argument, against the advice of most of State Department
and many other foreign policy experts, that the emigration to Palestine was the
proper solution for the surviving Jews of Europe. He fully acknowledged, in his
memoirs, the he was fully aware of Arabs hostility to the Jewish settlement in
Palestine . He, like his predecessors, had promised he would take no action without
fully consulting the Arabs.
The state of Israel was proclaimed on May 14th 1948, but the Arab States rejected the
portioning of Palestine and the existing of Israel. The armies of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon,
Trans Jordon, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Egypt attacked but were defeated by the
already existing Israeli army. While Jewish people were successful in creating their
homeland, there were no Palestine and no internationalization of Jerusalem, either.
I again jump through time to land at 2000 in Israel when Ariel Sharon, a former
military general, and now the Prime Minister of Israel accompanied by one thousand
solders visited a holly Muslim site the Haram Al Sharif and proclaimed it as eternal
Israeli territory. This proclamation influenced what is now known as the Intifada, or
uprising.
After this brief summarization of almost 100 year old history I would like to voice
my opinion and answer the question set forth.
I personally understand the reasoning behind that the land of
46. Comparison Of Koh Tao
The underwater world surrounding of Koh Tao has a diverse array of marine life and
corals, making it a fantastic destination to snorkel. Located in Thailand, Koh Tao is
an island that offers many snorkeling sites to explore the unique underwater world.
Primetime for Snorkeling Koh Tao
You can visit Koh Tao anytime of the year, which is part of the reason it is a top
notch snorkeling destination. The dry season stretches from November to April,
which might be the best time to visit. During this time temperatures range from
29В°C to 34В°C (84 94В°F), and there is little rainfall. Year round, Thailand boasts
picturesque scenery, beautiful weather, and a unique underwater world waiting to be
explored!
Sites for Snorkeling Koh Tao
The list of places for snorkeling Koh Tao is endless. There are beaches dotting the
whole island, which makes it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similar to some of the other sites, the middle of the bay is sandy with little marine
life, so the best snorkeling is along the rocky edges. The road to Mango Bay is not
exactly safe, so you may want to hire a long tail boat or rent a kayak to reach the
area. Mango Bay is a great snorkeling site because it has huge schools of fish, which
can actually be seen from the surface. You will generally find this throng of fish by
the Mango Bay resort.
Getting to Koh Tao
This island can be a bit more difficult to reach than others in Thailand. The fastest
way to get there would be to fly into Koh Samui and then take the ferry to Koh Tao.
This is also the most expensive method, but it will get you there quickest.
Whichever way you choose to travel to Koh Tao, the underwater world awaits!
Take in views of magical sea creatures and stunning scenery while you snorkel Koh
Tao. This is a great area to see exotic fish, sea turtles, octopus and most definitely
sharks! You can also see a variety of corals, such as Brain, Whip, Table and Staghorn
corals, along with many types of soft
