Understanding A Child Needs And Child Development
Understanding a child needs and the way to interact with them a key knowledge to create different
ways for the child to development at their appropriate age level. In the beginning of the semester, I
only have some knowledge of child development. I didn t know the method of teaching a child are
even to speak to them. After this class and participating in programs relating to children s
development, such as Jumpstart, i slowly understand the importance of ways to express and take to the
children. The environment that a child grows in affects a child in a certain degree that would either be
negative or positive. For example, if a child is growing in a place that lack of space and material to
manipulate, then the child will have lack of that skill he or she is supposed to acquire at a certain age
and that will maintain for a lifetime. On the other hand, if the child have the spacious environment to
implement play meaning that child would have enough material to develop the developmental skills
that is appropriate for his or her age. In a classroom, it is best that there is enough materials for each
individual that are able to use to reach the developmental skills. I think the most important thing that a
classroom should have is natural lighting, which meaning that there should be windows. In early
childhood centers located in spaces not originally designed for children....create a safe, healthy, and
engaging environment ( Smith, 2013 p.9). I know that there are preschool that

Gender Norms In William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet
In the epilogue, the audience is reminded that the character Rosalind is played by a boy actor when
she says the lines; If I were a woman, I would kiss as many of you as had beards that pleased me,
complexions that liked me, and breaths that I defied not (Epi. 17 20). Based on the gender norms
during this era, this line would cause discomfort among the audience because the boy actor is saying
that he would kiss the men in the audience if he was truly a woman. During Shakespeare s time it was
okay for a man to have feelings for another man for a short period of time as long as he never acted on
it because this shows that the man has not yet matured. He will only truly mature into an adult when
he has taken a wife for himself and forget about

The Success of the First Two Labour Governments was...
Do you agree with the view that, in the years 1945 51, the achievements of the Labour government far
outweighed its failures? Explain your answer, using Sources 4, 5 and 6 and your own knowledge. (40
marks)
The Labour government in 1945 1951 achieved a high degree of activity and success, despite working
within the aftermath of war which inevitably brings enormous difficulties . The Labour government
devoted their power to reconstructing a better nation, one that would be a better place in which to be
born, to grow up, and to live and even die . On the other hand it is possible to criticise Labour due to
their irresponsible spending.

Source 4 states that Britain experienced a progressive phase which embodies the age of austerity
which the Marshall plan (1948) began, where Britain received $200 million US Dollars, this marks
one of the greatest achievement of Bevin as he convinced US of the necessity of such a plan for
shoring up Europe against the threat of communism in USSR. It spurred significant economic
recovery. Stafford Cripps was to adopt a policy of austerity which the basic aim was to use rationing
and tight economic controls to prevent inflation . Such measures, it was hoped would keep
employment high and allow the government to continue its welfare programme.
Source 4 uses the word kinder which epitomises the 1948 Olympics which brought happiness and
togetherness into the society, this was crucial due to the war which they had experienced prior to this.
The event came to be known as the Austerity Games because of the economic climate and post war
rationing. This highlights the impact in which this had upon the country as the team spirit nature of
this sporting event transmitted to the people enabling a more friendly atmosphere of which
encapsulates the idea of a social revolution had occurred.
Attlee s government inherited crushing financial difficulties in 1945. Source 6 remains impartial due

Luxury Brands
Minor Project Synopsis
On
Attitude of Young people of India towards Luxury Brands
Introduction:
A couple of generations ago, a typical purchase decision for the average Indian would be choosing
between, say, clothes and electronic goods whenever they had a little cash to spare. Today, the
customers dilemma involves making up their mind between Prada and Gucci, Merc and Lamborghini.
Marie Antoinette would say, If they can t have bread, give them brands instead!
In a relatively short time span of 20 years, India has moved from pavement markets to swanky malls,
from frugal minded consumer to who want it all and from a population largely obessed with celebrity
gossip to one which yearns to gain knowledge. India is taking ... Show more content on

In this study the researcher investigate, Indian consumer migration towards Luxury brands form value
middle tier brands. The findings suggest that there is significant difference with the gender difference,
social status, price, quality to purchase a luxury good. There is a higher association between the
annual household income and Purchase of luxury goods
It clearly says that affordability, quality, availability, celebrity, self satisfaction, image and social status
are the key drivers to the migration of consumers to Luxury brands from value middle tier branded
goods. It confirms the view that brand perception and purchase value is, apart from socially oriented
motives of buying to impress others also affected by financial, functional, and individual aspects. It
would seem that the dimensions presented in this paper are appropriate variables for segmenting the
market for branded items.

A Child s Psychological And Social Development
This study looks upon those who move around a lot, with children, because of their jobs. Specifically,
how moving around an excessive amount, and absentee of parents, affect how children develop. Jobs
that typically require moving are military, doctors without borders, missionaries, aid workers,
traveling journalist/photographer, and much more. The Smith family has been traveling around,
primarily, the United States, for quite some time. The Smith family occupations are both government
field agents. The family consists of Mr. Mrs. Smith, and their two children, one of them being their
daughter, Fern, who is 15 years old. Fern, has been moving every 2 3 years, around the country since
she was 5. Her parents spend all day and night on their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because Fern does not have someone she can discuss these changes with, she would more susceptible
to depression.
Another milestone in adolescents is finding their identity. According to Erik Erikson, he says that there
are eight total stages humans go through, each one corresponding with a particular time/age in a
human s life, and each having a psychological crisis. During the time of adolescents, it is a search for
their identity or end up in a state of role confusion. Furthered by Kail and Cavanaugh (2016), to
develop identity, it is facilitated through parental discussion and encouragement. Through this
discussion and encouragement, the child will have a better grasp of who they are, thus being able to
make tough decisions and able to handle a variety of situations, that they know will be the best route
for them. Their identity development also affects their career and interpersonal relationship
development.
Since Fern s parents are more focused on their work, rather than their children, she is once again,
unable to communicate with them about her sense of self, or about things in general. Fern is not
encouraged nor encouraged to explore her different self s. Fern would thus be unable to determine if
the sense of self she currently has been exploring, is the right one for her. She would also likely, have
difficulties communicating with other people, older, younger, and those who are of the same

Archbishop Oscar Romero Religion
Imagine trying to attend mass and being gunned down by the government s military. The impact
religion has on people s perspective had been seen as a threat by the government. In the film, Romero
directed by John Duigan, this issue of the Church s involvement in politics is displayed in El Salvador
in the year 1980. Archbishop Oscar Romero dedicated his life to the poor through the Eucharist and
his own views on politics changed as well. In the beginning of the film, Romero s good friend, father
Grande supports the poor people during a time of political tension. At first, Oscar Romero s opinion is
that the Church and the church officials should stay out of politics and just focus on doing their job.
Along with father Grande, other priests think that they should focus on helping the poor and taking a
side in the political battle. Shortly after, Romero is appointed to be the new Archbishop of El Salvador,
and because of this, people bring Romero gifts after his first mass as the official archbishop. ... Show

The fact that Romero s good friend, father Grande, is dead, changes his way of thinking dramatically.
Romero realizes that there is a major division in the Church, the rich and the powerful versus the poor
and the voiceless. This motivates him to give homilies about becoming united within the Church and
through the Eucharist. The Eucharist is a physical representation of Jesus Christ and we should be
united as one beneath Him. One example of unity through the Eucharist Romero tries to enforce is
when a rich woman asks for a private baptism for her child but Romero denies her and says everyone
will do their baptism on a public

Journalism Bias
The Effects of Journalism Bias in America
A quarter of all young adults in America are cannibals. While this statement is true, it is wildy
misleading. The undoctored statistic is roughly 25% of young adults in America bite their nails. It is
technically not incorrect to depict nail biters as cannibals, but this type of misleading manipulation
completely changes the meaning of the data. Rephrasing polls or surveys while retaining the same
data is just one of the many ways journalists use deception to mold the news into their desired bias. An
increase in journalism bias has coincided with the political polarization of America, and the links
between the two are frequent. With media as most Americans only way to stay educated on our nation
s issues, any flaws in reporting will have proliferating effects on the millions of Americans watching.
Since the dawn of media journalism, a bias has existed. Due to shifts within the networks and liberal
leaning education, this bias has grown into an uncontrollable beast that contributes to the harsh
political polarization of America. The creation and prosperity of a widespread journalism bias is
becoming more prevalent, resulting in an extremely partisan public and without addressing the
change, it will soon become a dilemma with no foreseeable method to reverse or correct the damage.
Background
The media has been used over the past 60 years by writers, producers, actors, and executives to
promote their ideology and mold Americans into

Gambling Is A Part Of All Of The Characters
Gamblers
This film explicitly demonstrates that gambling is a part of all of the characters lives.. The one
character who does not gamble for most of the Film is Bernie because he had such bad luck and was a
recovering problem gambler. Even Bernie caves into gambling at the end of the film by betting all of
the money he had on the craps table. The film does not focus on any specific character gambling and
shows hundreds of men and women gambling during the movie. The different faces gambling only
adds to the idea that everybody gambles, normalizing this behavior as a part of everyday life. The
majority of the gamblers were older white, affluent males. Interestingly enough, this conflicts with a
2002 United States gambling survey, which found that increases in socioeconomic status led to
decreases in gambling involvement (Welte 2002). While the study did take place between 5 to 10
years after the film, the demography of the film also still far underrepresents minority participation in
gambling. Gender stereotypes which were more accurate was that men mainly played action games
while women played escape games like slots. Similar to other features in the film, the demographics in
the casino are blatant and obvious, no woman ever rolls the dice on the craps table, and no man ever
pulls the lever of a slot machine.
In terms of gambling problems, no main character is visibly dealing with a gambling issue. Also,
many minor characters are shown gambling, fairly representing the

Examples Of Roswell Conspiracy
Roswell Conspiracy Conspiracy theories have always been easy to spread amongst the American
population due to common lack of trust for the American government. An example of which being the
incident of Roswell, New Mexico. On one dreadful summer night in 1947, something crashed in a
corn field in the middle of New Mexico. Little was known of what crashed that night, and it was
because of this lack of identity that caused the common population to assume the worst, an
extraterrestrial encounter. Slightly before this news of an alien spaceship crash, there were numerous
reports of flying saucers being seen flying above Roswell, New Mexico (DiSpezio para 12). It was
because of this increased interest in such things as extraterrestrial life that ... Show more content on

At the time, this was biggest thing to happen in America and everyone was interested in this incident
and the conspiracies that came with it. Such rumors as there being a surviving extraterrestrial creature
that came with the crash soon entertained the people of America (Park para 17). Due to all the
different stories being told to the public, people started to just say that there was an incident in
Roswell that had to do with an extraterrestrial encounter and the government was covering it up. It
was not until decades later in 1994 that the military decided to come clean. According to their report,
the remains of the wreckage found on that night were not of any kind of spaceship, but instead of a
crashed weather balloon apart of a secret mission called Project Mogul (DiSpezio para 14). By 1997
the Air Force had gathered all information related to the Roswell incident and formed a formal report.
The formal report drew one of the biggest crowds on record for the Pentagon press conference (Park
para 24). Although the report was officially released, it was still far too late. The government hoped
that the report would change people s mind about the whole conspiracy, but anything they did was
seen as a conspiracy. Everything that has ever been said by the government after that original report of
a flying disc being recovered has been

They feel their story is not just for an industry audience, but for everyone; government officials, labor
leaders, industry executives and general readers, in every country with an interest in how society goes
about making things. The best way to describe lean production is to contrast it to its predecessors:
craft production and mass production. Craft production uses highly skilled workers and simple but
flexible tools to make exactly what the consumer asks for, one item at a time. The result is that
consumers get exactly what they want but at a prohibitively high cost. Mass production uses narrowly
skilled professionals to design products made by unskilled or semiskilled workers tending expensive,
single purpose machines. The machines produce standardized products in very high volume. Due to
the high cost of disruption of the process, the mass producer adds many buffers extra supplies,
workers and space to assure smooth production. Also due to high cost of changing over to a new
product, the mass producer keeps standard designs in production as long as possible. The result is the
consumer gets lower costs but at the expense of variety, and workers tend to find their part of the
process boring. Lean production, by contrast, uses teams of multiskilled workers at all levels of the
organization, and uses highly flexible, increasingly automated machines to produce large volumes of
products in enormous variety. The term

The Four Mythical Elements Of Whale Rider
Many voyages that heroin s encounter are regularly identified with the four mythical functions. In the
film, Whale Rider, through mythical creation powers, the hero endeavors to save her dying culture.
The creation myths power permits the courageous woman, Pai, to find her actual calling as a real
leader of the Maori tribe. By utilizing the myths, she dynamically finds her legend s adventure by
breaking down the images throughout her life. According to Campbell as discussed in Indick article,

Loggerhead Sea Turtles: Effects of climate change on the population of sea turtles.
Abstract
The effects of climate change and global warming have severe effects on loggerhead sea turtles and
various other marine mammals. The rate of climate change goes far beyond the abilities of animals to
adapt to these drastic changes taking place around them in their habitats. These changes are predicted
to cause an extinction of many species over the next few decades. (SEE Turtles, 2015) The sea level
rises from melting glaciers, and ice caps are already resulting in the loss of nesting grounds of these
loggerhead turtles. Extreme weather that is also linked to climate change result in a chance for more
severe storms ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Feldman et al. 2015) This in turn not only affects the temperatures on land, but also the oceans that
are home to many cetaceans (i.e. Dolphins and whales) as well as other marine life such as seals, and
turtles. Climate change is an issue that is linked to human influences.
The loggerhead sea turtle is an endangered species exposed to many anthropogenic hazards in the
Pacific. It is believed that pelagic longline fisheries pose one of the major risks for these loggerheads
but the effects such as human
induced global climate change have rarely been considered. (Chaloupka,
Kamezaki Limpus, 2008)
The effects of climate change have enormous impacts on sea turtles. One of them being that the rise in
sea level will disrupt turtle nesting beaches. Sea turtles usually return to the same site where they
hatch to repeat their ancient nesting ritual. These direct impacts of polar caps melting, and sea levels
rising, these beaches that were once nesting grounds are starting to disappear completely.

Literary Analysis Of Anne Bradstreet s The Author To Her Book
When we create something, it s always challenging to reveal it to others. No matter how big or small
our creation might seem we will still have doubts about our work. For instance, writing an essay might
seem simple to some, but the reality of putting words together to state he or she s point is a difficult
task for anyone. In addition, when finished, we tend to have a great uncertainty buried deep down in
our mind reminding either our work is great or it needs improvement. Poet, Anne Bradstreet, in her
poem, The Author of Her Book, also experiences the uncertainty and frustration that creating
something with your own hands brings. In the poem, the author describes how imperfect and
unbearable her work seems to her. In addition, the author conveys her attitude throughout the poem in
order to reveal her attachment to her work; hence, the title of the poem The Author to Her Book.
Through the use of poetic devices such as diction, imagery, and metaphors, in order to reveal
Bradstreet s attitude towards her offspring/writing. Bradstreet begins her poem by adopting scathing
diction. The author conveys her attitude through the usage of words like, ill form d and raggs.
Bradstreet uses these words in order to help convey both how critical and masterful she is about her
work. In addition, she writes, [The] offspring of my feeble brain. In this line, Bradstreet emphasizes
the notion of being unsatisfied. The author utilities the word feeble brain in order to address

We can then continue to graphing: Even though we can see that the damage multiplier goes down as

Additionally, the domain is x 0 because it is impossible to have less than 0 Resistances in the game

equal value, like so: 0.375 + (0.375 Resistances100) = 0.05100Health Points We can then rearrange
this equation in terms of HP to become: Health Points = 750 + (7.5Resistances) Then create a table of
values: Resistances Health 0 750 100 1500 200 2250 300 3000 400 3750 And graph to become: The
line produced by the linear graph represents when the cost of HP and Resistances are equal, telling us
that when one s HP is above the line, buying HP grants less EH for the same cost, compared to buying
a Resistance, and when a player s HP is below the line, buying HP would be grant more EH per Gold
than buying Resistances. With all characters in the game having a starting maximum HP of between
478 and 626, and starting Resistance values between 16 and 31, it is clear that because all characters
have statistics that can be plotted under the line, at

Archetypes In Wuthering Heights
Wuthering Heights is a novel wrote by Emily Bronte about tragic and gothic romance. One of the
most famous character in the book was Heathcliff, a tortured anti hero. This essay will talk about one
type of archetype in the story tortured anti hero Heathcliff and how his personalities affected the story.
Heathcliff is an orphan brought to live at Wuthering Heights by Mr. Earnshaw, Heathcliff falls into an
intense, unbreakable love with Mr. Earnshaw s daughter Catherine. After Mr. Earnshaw dies, his
resentful son Hindley abuses Heathcliff and treats him as a servant. Catherine marries Edgar Linton
instead of Heathcliff, because of her desire for social prominence. Heathcliff s humiliation and misery

Because misery, and degradation, and death, and nothing God or Satan could inflict would have parted
us, you, of your own will, did it. I have not broken your heart you have broken it; and in breaking it,
you have broken mine. So much the worse for me, that I am strong. Do I want to live? What kind of
living will it be when you oh, God! would you like to live with your soul in the grave? . What actually
made him a tortured anti hero is how people around him treated him, made him to find a way to rescue
himself. The reason why he is not considering as bad or good is because he is just doing what he needs
to do save his soul and peace. He is acting cruel in fact he is asking for help from others, asking for
passionate from Catherine which he ll never granted. Heathcliff, however, defies being understood,
and it is difficult for readers to resist seeing what they want or expect to see in him. The novel teases
the reader with the possibility that Heathcliff is something other than what he seems that his cruelty is
merely an expression of his frustrated love for Catherine, or that his sinister behaviors serve to conceal
the heart of a romantic hero. We expect Heathcliff s character to contain such a hidden virtue because
he resembles a hero in a romance

Going At Seaworld Is Every Child s Dream
Going to Seaworld is every child s dream. Seeing Shamu in real life is an unforgettable experience.
All those who are able to attend Seaworld and make it a reality, treasure the memories of viewing
these oceanic creatures. The great opportunity of viewing animals in such a close and involved
environment is amazing, but no one questions how those animals were initially imprisoned in their
aquatic cages. Why should these cetaceans, marine mammals, be exploited and used merely as
entertainment? The animals that are kept in captivity generally have a shorter lifespan than those that
thrive in the wild due to a number of different factors. Cetaceans along with any other animals. should
not be imprisoned for the entertainment of human beings. Dolphin performances have been a part of
American culture since 1860 in the New York Aquarium as mentioned in the Rose Tinted Menagerie
in 1990 that was written by William C. Johnson. Since then the popularity for captive cetaceans have
grown exponentially. According to Public Aquaria the Fishing Information Service, currently there
more than 100 marine parks and aquariums in the United States alone. Many of these marine parks
claim to have educational purposes and scientific research involved, which they may, but the focus is
not on the study of the animals or the preservation of said animals, merely of the income that the
display and performances that each immaculate creature provides. Prior to the performances, the

The Importance Of Texas Government Figures
Government figures play a very important role in every individual s life. They are the ones that make
the laws that citizens may or may not agree with. The governor of Texas is the figure that is the one
who leads this state on a regular basis during his term as governor. Even if he may not play a role in a
new law that was passed, just like the president, he will get blamed by those individuals who do not
agree and believed that he is making their lives worse. Rick Perry and Greg Abbott are the two Texas
Governors that will be focused on based on their view point/ belief on the topics of education and gun

A Discussion Matter Expert For Barclays s Ppi Complaints...
Within my role as a Subject Matter Expert for RBS s PPI complaints team, one of my principal duties
is liaising with our operations in India.
Our staff in India carry out a variety of duties to support the work completed by my team, including
the logging and processing of correspondence received from customers and the FOS. Any mistakes
made processing this correspondence can cause serious detriment to customer experience whilst
making a complaint; making it essential for us to maintain an open line of communication with India.
The subject of my reflective statement will be a situation that arose whilst I was providing training to
our operation in India; specifically training around our process for logging customer s acceptances of
offers. During a period where we were receiving a large amount of these acceptances, it was my
responsibility to introduce this process into the duties carried out by India. The plan was to carry out
several telephony training sessions to ensure they understood the process, and were capable of logging
acceptances without any errors.
However having begun the training it became clear India was unwilling to take on this new duty.
Logging acceptances is an inherently more complicated task than India felt they were capable of
completing or should be responsible for doing. They also believed being so far removed from the rest
of the PPI operation, it would not be possible for them to get the support needed to complete this duty
effectively.

Fixing Animals
A question that plagues pet owners new and old is whether they should fix their animals which is the
process of removing the reproductive organs of an animal. Though in the end it is a tough decision to
make when considering both side to the problem. On the side that is for the spaying and neutering of
their animals, research suggests that it helps keep animals healthy is certain ways that not fixing an
animal does. It also contributes to the control of the animal population in not just in America. But, on
the other side of the issue there are studies showing that even though fixing an animal has many health
and population benefits for animals it can also cause problems for them, as well as brush up against
moral boundaries that many people ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, in an article called Spaying and Neutering Pets by the college of Veterinary Medicine
and Biomedical Sciences at Texas A M states that the decision to spay or neuter your pet may be the
best decision for your pet s overall health . The article goes on and speaks about the health benefits of
fixing an animal. Which is also corroborated by other articles by the ASPCA called Spay/Neuter Your
Pet and Peta called Spay and Neuter . All of these articles depict the same information about how
fixing an animal will help stop certain cancers that appear in non fixed animals such as mammary
cancer in females and testicular cancer in males. Another source that is for fixing from The Humane
Society called Why You Should Spay/Neuter Your Pet speaks on the population of the animals in the
United States stating that In the U.S., there are an estimated 6 8 million homeless animals entering
shelters every year. They go on to say that the reason behind this staggering number of homeless
animals is because of pet owners not fixing their animals. While fixing an animal is good for the
health and population of animals there are downside to it two. For instance, in the blog article written
by Rick Bohning called Do NOT Spay or Neuter Your Dog. One Size Does Not Fit All . Bohining is

The Adoration Of Jenna Fox Research Paper
Imagine a world where parental expectations did not exist for children entirely. Should they really be
in place? While some people may argue that parental expectations may be too much pressure for
offspring, they usually keep children s behavior rational, have an impact on their children and their
future, and goals are usually a source of motivation to do better. First, the reason parental expectation
is set in place, to begin with, is to regulate children and their actions. Second of all, having certain
achievements to meet has a significant impact on children and their future. Lastly, the need to meet
accomplishments set forth by the head(s) of the family serve as a way to improve on one s self for
children. For these reasons, parental expectations should be made.
To begin with, parental expectations keep children s behavior in check. In The Adoration of Jenna
Fox, by Mary E. Pearson, this point is represented by the character s protagonist, Jenna Fox.

They keep the behavior of kids in check and keeps them rational, which is traits that can be useful
later on in life. Not only that, they have a positive impact on the future of children, which can be
beneficiary for them in the days to come. Lastly, parental expectations cause motivation and/or
aspiration in children, something that would not be there if it did not exist in the first place. If a world
did truly exist in which parental expectation was never really in place, the people in our society would
be different. They will be more relaxed and will not push themselves to their limit these people would
be ill mannered in society s view. Without parental expectations, society goes in a backward direction,

How Does Maurice Gee Use The Characters To Show...
How does the author, Maurice Gee, in the novel The Fat Man, use the characters to display
hopelessness?
In the novel, The Fat Man, Maurice Gee uses various character dialogue, physical descriptions and
physical and emotional abuse to depict a sense of hopelessness within the main characters. In the
novel, The Fat Man, Maurice Gee portrays hopelessness using the main character of the novel, Colin
Potter, through the exploration of his dialogue, physical descriptions and physical and emotional
abuse. Additionally, Gee also uses two other main characters, Laurie Potter and Bette Muskie, to
display hopelessness and this is also completed through the illustration of their dialogue, physical
descriptions and physical and emotional abuse.

Through Verna s conversations with Colin, we learn that Bette deals with physical, sexual and
emotional abuse from Herbert on a regular basis, and, therefore, her relationship with Herbert is
unhealthy. Verna explains that Herbert sexually abuses Bette when she resists physical affection,
exclaiming [Herbert forcefully] kisser her (p.78) and even makes her wash him in the bath (p.78),
when she does not want to. This conveys hopelessness because it portrays the abuse Bette faces and
the inability to remove herself from the situation she possesses. At the housewarming party at the
Muskie household, we learn that [Bette s] got black eyes all the time (p.109) as Herbert physically
abuses her. After the party, he also forces Verna to have a haircut. Bette protests, crying No! (p. 117)
but is quickly shut up, as he tells her to keep away (p.117). This demonstrates hopelessness because it
conveys that although Bette does not want Verna not to have a haircut and even protests, she is
hopeless as Herbert Muskie is too overpowering and

My Music Redub Movie Interpretation
The Music Redub was an interesting project. At first it seemed straight forward and easy, but as I
began thinking about the the Film School movement and how the great directors used their film
history knowledge to format something new, I realized that great attention to detail, editing, and music
choice, all influence the final film product. My Music Redub marries the ending scene of Tommy Boy
with Tommy in the sailboat saying goodbye to his father with the theme music to Jaws. The twist of
having the heavy Jaws theme paired with the lighthearted Tommy talking to his father changes the
whole feel of the scene. I chose to feature a clip from the B movie and cult classic Tommy Boy in my
Music Redub. Growing up in northwest Ohio, Tommy Boy (1995) was the movie that everyone
referenced and quoted because it featured the hometown of Sandusky, Ohio. That s gonna leave a
mark! was your instant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Dad s help is seen through the grass, trees, and wind moving the sailboat. In the Music Redub version,
Tommy asks for a little help, and then Jaw theme starts. The movement of the grass and trees, paired
with the music, makes the viewer anticipate something bad to happen. When Tommy hits his head on
the boom, it appears that it was an attack, rather than the wind moving the sail. Music in a film creates
the atmosphere and is very important in setting the mood of a scene. The Music Redub helped me to
learn more about the decisions that an editor must consider in the movie making process. It was fun to
create incoherence in the scene by changing the music. Both Tommy Boy and Jaws are cult classics
and B movies that were given the block buster treatment. Both movies have survived through the
years and are enjoyed by both all types of audiences. Whenever I hear the Jaw theme music, I know
that it is definitely going to leave a

There are a lot of Advantages with the use of Endoscopy. Endoscopy is a great technology because the
surgery can be done without any incision by using the urethral orifice as the entry point. The surgery
can also be done in a day, meaning you probably only need to stay at the hospital for about a day or
so. The recovery is also quick, you will be able to go on with your daily activities normally within one

  • 2. Understanding A Child Needs And Child Development Understanding a child needs and the way to interact with them a key knowledge to create different ways for the child to development at their appropriate age level. In the beginning of the semester, I only have some knowledge of child development. I didn t know the method of teaching a child are even to speak to them. After this class and participating in programs relating to children s development, such as Jumpstart, i slowly understand the importance of ways to express and take to the children. The environment that a child grows in affects a child in a certain degree that would either be negative or positive. For example, if a child is growing in a place that lack of space and material to manipulate, then the child will have lack of that skill he or she is supposed to acquire at a certain age and that will maintain for a lifetime. On the other hand, if the child have the spacious environment to implement play meaning that child would have enough material to develop the developmental skills that is appropriate for his or her age. In a classroom, it is best that there is enough materials for each individual that are able to use to reach the developmental skills. I think the most important thing that a classroom should have is natural lighting, which meaning that there should be windows. In early childhood centers located in spaces not originally designed for children....create a safe, healthy, and engaging environment ( Smith, 2013 p.9). I know that there are preschool that ... • 3. Gender Norms In William Shakespeare s Romeo And Juliet In the epilogue, the audience is reminded that the character Rosalind is played by a boy actor when she says the lines; If I were a woman, I would kiss as many of you as had beards that pleased me, complexions that liked me, and breaths that I defied not (Epi. 17 20). Based on the gender norms during this era, this line would cause discomfort among the audience because the boy actor is saying that he would kiss the men in the audience if he was truly a woman. During Shakespeare s time it was okay for a man to have feelings for another man for a short period of time as long as he never acted on it because this shows that the man has not yet matured. He will only truly mature into an adult when he has taken a wife for himself and forget about ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Success of the First Two Labour Governments was... Do you agree with the view that, in the years 1945 51, the achievements of the Labour government far outweighed its failures? Explain your answer, using Sources 4, 5 and 6 and your own knowledge. (40 marks) The Labour government in 1945 1951 achieved a high degree of activity and success, despite working within the aftermath of war which inevitably brings enormous difficulties . The Labour government devoted their power to reconstructing a better nation, one that would be a better place in which to be born, to grow up, and to live and even die . On the other hand it is possible to criticise Labour due to their irresponsible spending. In source 4 Hennessy states that Britain is a better place in which to be born as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Source 4 states that Britain experienced a progressive phase which embodies the age of austerity which the Marshall plan (1948) began, where Britain received $200 million US Dollars, this marks one of the greatest achievement of Bevin as he convinced US of the necessity of such a plan for shoring up Europe against the threat of communism in USSR. It spurred significant economic recovery. Stafford Cripps was to adopt a policy of austerity which the basic aim was to use rationing and tight economic controls to prevent inflation . Such measures, it was hoped would keep employment high and allow the government to continue its welfare programme. Source 4 uses the word kinder which epitomises the 1948 Olympics which brought happiness and togetherness into the society, this was crucial due to the war which they had experienced prior to this. The event came to be known as the Austerity Games because of the economic climate and post war rationing. This highlights the impact in which this had upon the country as the team spirit nature of this sporting event transmitted to the people enabling a more friendly atmosphere of which encapsulates the idea of a social revolution had occurred. Attlee s government inherited crushing financial difficulties in 1945. • 5. Luxury Brands Minor Project Synopsis On Attitude of Young people of India towards Luxury Brands Introduction: A couple of generations ago, a typical purchase decision for the average Indian would be choosing between, say, clothes and electronic goods whenever they had a little cash to spare. Today, the customers dilemma involves making up their mind between Prada and Gucci, Merc and Lamborghini. Marie Antoinette would say, If they can t have bread, give them brands instead! The Smith family has been traveling around, primarily, the United States, for quite some time. The Smith family occupations are both government field agents. According to Erik Erikson, he says that there are eight total stages humans go through, each one corresponding with a particular time/age in a human s life, and each having a psychological crisis. During the time of adolescents, it is a search for their identity or end up in a state of role confusion. Furthered by Kail and Cavanaugh (2016), to develop identity, it is facilitated through parental discussion and encouragement. Through this discussion and encouragement, the child will have a better grasp of who they are, thus being able to make tough decisions and able to handle a variety of situations, that they know will be the best route for them. Their identity development also affects their career and interpersonal relationship development. Since Fern s parents are more focused on their work, rather than their children, she is once again, unable to communicate with them about her sense of self, or about things in general. The impact religion has on people s perspective had been seen as a threat by the government. In the film, Romero directed by John Duigan, this issue of the Church s involvement in politics is displayed in El Salvador in the year 1980. Archbishop Oscar Romero dedicated his life to the poor through the Eucharist and his own views on politics changed as well. In the beginning of the film, Romero s good friend, father Grande supports the poor people during a time of political tension. At first, Oscar Romero s opinion is that the Church and the church officials should stay out of politics and just focus on doing their job. Along with father Grande, other priests think that they should focus on helping the poor and taking a side in the political battle. Shortly after, Romero is appointed to be the new Archbishop of El Salvador, and because of this, people bring Romero gifts after his first mass as the official archbishop. ... Romero realizes that there is a major division in the Church, the rich and the powerful versus the poor and the voiceless. This motivates him to give homilies about becoming united within the Church and through the Eucharist. The Eucharist is a physical representation of Jesus Christ and we should be united as one beneath Him. • 8. Journalism Bias The Effects of Journalism Bias in America A quarter of all young adults in America are cannibals. While this statement is true, it is wildy misleading. The undoctored statistic is roughly 25% of young adults in America bite their nails. It is technically not incorrect to depict nail biters as cannibals, but this type of misleading manipulation completely changes the meaning of the data. Rephrasing polls or surveys while retaining the same data is just one of the many ways journalists use deception to mold the news into their desired bias. An increase in journalism bias has coincided with the political polarization of America, and the links between the two are frequent. With media as most Americans only way to stay educated on our nation s issues, any flaws in reporting will have proliferating effects on the millions of Americans watching. Since the dawn of media journalism, a bias has existed. Due to shifts within the networks and liberal leaning education, this bias has grown into an uncontrollable beast that contributes to the harsh political polarization of America. The creation and prosperity of a widespread journalism bias is becoming more prevalent, resulting in an extremely partisan public and without addressing the change, it will soon become a dilemma with no foreseeable method to reverse or correct the damage. Background The media has been used over the past 60 years by writers, producers, actors, and executives to promote their ideology and mold Americans into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. Gambling Is A Part Of All Of The Characters Gamblers This film explicitly demonstrates that gambling is a part of all of the characters lives.. The one character who does not gamble for most of the Film is Bernie because he had such bad luck and was a recovering problem gambler. Even Bernie caves into gambling at the end of the film by betting all of the money he had on the craps table. The film does not focus on any specific character gambling and shows hundreds of men and women gambling during the movie. The different faces gambling only adds to the idea that everybody gambles, normalizing this behavior as a part of everyday life. The majority of the gamblers were older white, affluent males. Interestingly enough, this conflicts with a 2002 United States gambling survey, which found that increases in socioeconomic status led to decreases in gambling involvement (Welte 2002). While the study did take place between 5 to 10 years after the film, the demography of the film also still far underrepresents minority participation in gambling. Gender stereotypes which were more accurate was that men mainly played action games while women played escape games like slots. Similar to other features in the film, the demographics in the casino are blatant and obvious, no woman ever rolls the dice on the craps table, and no man ever pulls the lever of a slot machine. In terms of gambling problems, no main character is visibly dealing with a gambling issue. Also, many minor characters are shown gambling, fairly representing the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Little was known of what crashed that night, and it was because of this lack of identity that caused the common population to assume the worst, an extraterrestrial encounter. At the time, this was biggest thing to happen in America and everyone was interested in this incident and the conspiracies that came with it. Such rumors as there being a surviving extraterrestrial creature that came with the crash soon entertained the people of America (Park para 17). Due to all the different stories being told to the public, people started to just say that there was an incident in Roswell that had to do with an extraterrestrial encounter and the government was covering it up. It was not until decades later in 1994 that the military decided to come clean. According to their report, the remains of the wreckage found on that night were not of any kind of spaceship, but instead of a crashed weather balloon apart of a secret mission called Project Mogul (DiSpezio para 14). By 1997 the Air Force had gathered all information related to the Roswell incident and formed a formal report. The formal report drew one of the biggest crowds on record for the Pentagon press conference (Park para 24). Although the report was officially released, it was still far too late. They feel their story is not just for an industry audience, but for everyone; government officials, labor leaders, industry executives and general readers, in every country with an interest in how society goes about making things. The best way to describe lean production is to contrast it to its predecessors: craft production and mass production. Craft production uses highly skilled workers and simple but flexible tools to make exactly what the consumer asks for, one item at a time. The result is that consumers get exactly what they want but at a prohibitively high cost. Mass production uses narrowly skilled professionals to design products made by unskilled or semiskilled workers tending expensive, single purpose machines. The machines produce standardized products in very high volume. Due to the high cost of disruption of the process, the mass producer adds many buffers extra supplies, workers and space to assure smooth production. Also due to high cost of changing over to a new product, the mass producer keeps standard designs in production as long as possible. The result is the consumer gets lower costs but at the expense of variety, and workers tend to find their part of the process boring. Lean production, by contrast, uses teams of multiskilled workers at all levels of the organization, and uses highly flexible, increasingly automated machines to produce large volumes of products in enormous variety. These changes are predicted to cause an extinction of many species over the next few decades. It is believed that pelagic longline fisheries pose one of the major risks for these loggerheads but the effects such as human induced global climate change have rarely been considered. From the Effective Health formula we can see that EH increases linearly with Resistances, because even though there is a fraction, it still fits with the y = mx + b format, where in the example, the y intercept is 500 and the slope is 5, if we expand the equation. Additionally, the domain is x 0 because it is impossible to have less than 0 Resistances in the game and the range is y 500, because that is what I set the base to be. Therefore telling us when to buy more Health versus when to buy more Resistances, depending on the value of the other. Since 1 Gold of HP grants a person EH equal to 0.375 + (0.375 Resistances100), and 1 Gold of Armor grants EH equivalent to 0.05100Health Points, equating these two will allow us to find out when they are of equal value, like so: 0.375 + (0.375 Resistances100) = 0.05100Health Points We can then rearrange this equation in terms of HP to become: Health Points = 750 + (7.5Resistances) Then create a table of values: Resistances Health 0 750 100 1500 200 2250 300 3000 400 3750 And graph to become: The line produced by the linear graph represents when the cost of HP and Resistances are equal, telling us that when one s HP is above the line, buying HP grants less EH for the same cost, compared to buying a Resistance, and when a player s HP is below the line, buying HP would be grant more EH per Gold than buying Resistances.
