The History Of Medgar Evers And The Civil Rights Movement
Revolution, a sudden, complete or marked change in something (Dictionary.com). The Civil Rights
Movement sparked a reaction in the country. The idea of allowing African Americans full rights and
privileges left white Americans to brutalize and discriminate. In 1954, Medgar Evers became the first
state field secretary of the NAACP in Mississippi. He was a civil rights activist that fought to end the
racial injustice he experienced growing up in the South. (Biography.com). He was later murdered by a
member of the KKK, but died in the fight for freedom. It takes people to believe, to follow, and to
start a revolution.
Medgar Evers had a big role in the Civil Rights Movement. Evers also led demonstrations and
economic boycotts of white owned companies that practiced discrimination . He stimulated a drive in
others a part of NAACP to end intolerance and defeat injustice. (Biography.com). By Medgar and his
proposition, he showed other African Americans light through hatred. Evers fought against
discrimination to prove he can be just like the others. While he failed to gain admission to the law
school, Evers managed to raise his profile with the NAACP. After working with the NAACP, he
brought up a case to the Supreme Court Brown v. Board of Education case , which help end
segregation issues throughout schools. (Biography.com). Medgar Evers was part of the revolution to
end discrimination and injustice for all.
Under those circumstances, Evers life was sadly cut short.

Personal Statement On Health And Fitness
Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life even without knowing it, but the transition
changed from sport and athletics to the gym and trying to achieve what I thought was expected of me
socially. After a year of lagging progress and nearly giving up I decided to give it one more shot I just
needed to go after it a different way. I needed to educate myself on the process I was going to undergo
to achieve my goals. So I turned to the internet, more specifically Youtube, it became my saving grace,
unbeknownst to me at the time there was a large fitness community waiting for me behind my
Youtube search bar, ready to provide anyone who looks with large amounts of information on Fitness
and training, healthy eating and dieting and a major source of positive motivation to help get anyone
started.
We know most of the facts and usually say that we will take the leap into being healthy in the new
year, new year new me right? But don t put off till tomorrow what you can do today, because when it
comes down to it you re only missing out on some of life s better outcomes. Training has proven to
help with weight issues, combats health conditions and fight diseases, improve mood, increase energy
and it also promotes better sleep so with all these positives why not trade in a little time to gain all of
these benefits?
The biggest problem that I ve found is that many people are getting better at finding excuses not to go,
than to go which is increasing the sedentary

Microsoft Corporation, Innovative And On The Cutting Edge...
The city of Seattle is seeking a sponsor for naming rights to the multipurpose arena. The arena serves
as the home court for the Seattle Storm of the Women s National Basketball Association and Seattle
University basketball of the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference. Seattle was recently
awarded an expansion team in the National Basketball Association. Residents of Seattle and
surrounding suburbs recently voted to name the franchise the Seattle Splash. The current arena which
is a property of AEG Facilities is seeking a local corporation that is willing to invest in not only the
present, but the future as well. As it stands now, the arena will need to be updated and modernized to
compete with other NBA arenas as it was last updated in 1995. My team and I recognize that the
Microsoft Corporation is innovative and on the cutting edge of technology. The following proposal
will showcase how a partnership between the Seattle Splash and the Microsoft Corporation can
provide the winning formula when technology and sports collide.
Seattle is excited to be gaining an NBA franchise once again. After the Super Sonics moved to
Oklahoma City at the conclusion of the 2007 2008 season, Seattle fans have felt a void that was left in
their life. At the conclusion of the 2015 16 NBA season, the Seattle Splash is excited to announce
Luke Walton as the head coach. Luke was the interim head coach for the Golden State Warriors to
begin the 2015 season as his team went 39 4 while holding

Vladimir Nabokov s Short Stories
Vladimir Nabokov s short stories featured are Signs and Symbols, Bachmann and Terra Incognita.
Signs and Symbols focuses on a young boy institutionalized with a morbid paranoia of the outside
world and the impact this has on his elderly parents. Bachmann is about a genius composer whose
only source of affection is of Madame Perov, whose infatuation is seen in her constant attendance of
his piano recitals. Terra Incognito s main character Valliére and his companions are losing their minds
and lives to strange hallucigenic fever in a remote country in the fictional country of Zonraki. Strong
aspects of all three short stories focus on the alienation of each of the protagonists and the cause of
this, either due to madness, great creativity or delusion. This link is forged between the three, which
would have not been as obvious. To attempt to show this association, the following question arose,
which is:
The alienated person is out of touch with himself as he is out of touch with any person. (Erich Fromm,
1955) How does Nabokov convey alienation of characters well in the short stories Signs and Symbols,
Bachmann and Terra Incognita?
The three short stories, Signs and Symbols, Bachmann and Terra Incognita are going to be examined.
Nabokov is interested in people who are forcefully marginalized by society due to their imaginations.
He depicts them using a number of writer s tools such as the conflict between characters, the opinions
of secondary characters, description of

Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies
This paper is prepared for Newburgh Theological Seminary and College of the Bible
March 16, 2013
INTRODUCTION
I continued my study in pursuit of the doctoral degree in Biblical Studies by reading the text,
Encountering the Old Testament. Little did I know when I began reading this text that it would so
completely satisfy two of my greatest pleasures; studying the Word of God and studying people s
history.
I am an ardent historian. Knowing and understanding the history of peoples and nations is more than
exciting or simply interesting to me. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scribes who copied the biblical text believed they were copying the very words of God. One group of
scribes committed to preserving God s word was the Masoretes. They did three things to preserve the
text they received: (1) they developed a system for writing vowels; (2) they developed a system of
accents for the Hebrew text; and (3) they developed a system of detailed notes from the text.
The majority of the text was written in Hebrew, the remainder in Aramaic. The most important
Hebrew copies of the Old Testament are the Masoretic text (the most reliable), the Samaritan
Pentateuch and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Samaritan Pentateuch contains only Genesis through
Deuteronomy and originated with the Samaritans. The Dead Sea Scrolls contains part of every Old
Testament book except Ester. The Old Testament was also translated into other languages. The
Septuagint, a translation in Greek, has been helpful in resolving some portions of the Pentateuch and
the Targums helps us understand early Jewish interpretations.
How Do We Interpret the Bible?
Use the Grammatical Historical Method
Following the rules of hermeneutics helps us interpret the Bible. The grammatical historical method
seeks to determine what the text says grammatically and what it means historically. In order to arrive
at this understanding we must first consider the context in which the text was written.
Understand the Context There are three kinds of context: immediate, remote and

Essay on The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olauda...
The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olauda Equiano The narrative by Olaudah Equiano gives an
interesting perspective of slavery both within and outside of Africa in the eighteenth century. From
these writings we can gain insight into the religion and customs of an African culture. We can also see
how developed the system of trade was within Africa, and worldwide by this time. Finally, we hear an
insider s view on being enslaved, how slaves were treated in Africa, and what the treatment of African
slaves was like at the hands of the Europeans. Olaudah spends a good part of the narrative acquainting
the reader with the customs of his people. He describes the importance of hygiene to his people. Their
overall health and vigor was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They seemed, if we take him at his word, to be a friendly and civilized people. As he put it
cheerfulness and affability are two of the leading characteristics of our nation. The village economy
was particularly interesting, and Olaudah s descriptions are very revealing. His people needed guns
because other villages had them. The guns were brought to Africa by the Europeans, who used them to
trade. (That the Europeans both supplied and fulfilled this need bears mention.) Olaudah states that he
had never seen a European; his people traded with wandering merchants who acted as middlemen.
These middlemen traded guns for potash, which they probably used in trade again elsewhere. Later in
his life Olaudah also saw iron pots, crossbows, and European cutlasses among African people. This
clearly illustrates the trade that developed between coastal tribes and Europeans, and the existence of
middlemen who worked along established trade routes. There is also evidence of the Columbian
Exchange in this writing: the crops that Olaudah mentions his people raised. He says that they grew
corn and tobacco, These crops were unknown in Afroeurasia before Columbus returned from the New
World barely two hundred and fifty years earlier. These two crops traveled from the Western
Hemisphere via very indirect trade routes, over a period of many years. They became staples in a rural
village miles from the African coast. This shows the level of sophistication in

Educating Rita Essay
Educating Rita by Willy Russell explores the value of education, but also the wider education that
takes place and how to use that education to your greatest benefit; not only during the school
education but also the looking at the surrounding world. Rita, an uneducated lady, is unhappy with the
limitations of her social class and feels that to escape the limitations she needs to get a properly
recognised education. She therefore decides to do an Open University course in English literature.
This she believes will greatly increase the horizons of her life and remove some of the limitations that
she feels are imposed upon her. She wants to learn everything but soon discovers that even education
has its limits. Frank, her tutor and lecturer, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

expectations for women and certainly no need for them to have an education, Denny gets dead narked

the pill and starting a formal education, But I mean, I don t want a baby yet. No. I wanna discover

study. The literature used in this chapter was developed and reviewed by various articles, books,
magazines, website journals, and peer reviewed articles on management, mentoring, global leadership,
global management, and millennial leadership.
The gaps in literature within this study were based on literature that was used between 1999 and
present. The conceptual framework used in this proposed study has been designed and based off of an
exploratory qualitative research design. The content used within this proposed study are to review the
literature used within this chapter. This chapter is a presentation of the literature that has been
reviewed and will create a more definitive conceptualization of why the study is needed and how it
can help to benefit millennial leaders in management. A concept is an image or symbolic
representation of an abstract idea. (Chinn Kramer, 1999) A conceptual framework helps to provide a
model that gives direction to the study. It helps to enable the researcher to provide and show
relationships of different constructs that is intended for the research. It also helps to outline possible
courses of action to present an approach or idea for the intended study.

United States And International Asylum System
The principles of protection stated under Article 33(1) of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of
Refugees requires refugees to gain access to a state s territory in order to exercise their rights to claim
asylum. In order to deter asylum seekers, EU Member States have begun adopting restrictive national
asylum systems. National asylum systems undermine burden sharing initiatives due to regional
differences. National policy harmonization is an approach to achieve a more equitable distribution of
burdens among Member States, but the lack of cooperation between entry point states, transit states,
and destination states has resulted in policies committed to deterring refugees and asylum seekers,
rather than aimed at their protection. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2015, hot spot relocation centres were set up in high concentration regions in order to assist with
registration, identification, fingerprinting and to debrief asylum seekers (Hassell 2). Asylum systems
in entry point states have become overwhelmed to the point where it has affected receptions and
processing conditions. The number of arrivals coupled with a lack of existing mechanisms to mitigate
resources has led to a deterioration of conditions in these regions (Hassell 8). Entry point states desire
EU burden sharing mechanisms in order to alleviate the strain that migrants place on state systems.
Member States that are not in the direct path for receiving and hosting migrants do not want to
contribute to this burden, especially when they have nothing to gain. Regrettably, there is an exception
to the Dublin Regulation; Dublin transfers enable asylum seekers who move on to other countries after
being registered to be sent back to the responsible entry point state to be processed. Dublin transfers
increase pressures on entry point states in terms of hosting more asylum seekers. Germany has
recently dismissed the Dublin Regulation and has continued to process asylum applications, regardless
of the applicant s entry state. Dublin transfers are similar to the concept of non refoulement, in which
states are not to expel or send back (refouler) refugees to countries where their life or liberty would

As An Upper Level High School Mathematics Teacher, My...
As an upper level high school mathematics teacher, my students are assigned to classes based on skill
level rather than grade level, but the due to the nature of the material, most students are juniors and
seniors. Tasha, the student constantly demanding my attention to ask if she is doing the work correctly,
is almost certainly one of these upperclassmen as the rare underclassman who is in an advanced math
class generally has more confidence in her abilities if only because placement in such a class implies
that the school believes that she is highly capable. While not offensive or intentionally disruptive,
Tasha s behavior does impact the classroom environment negatively. Every minute that she demands
my attention is a minute that I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result, I am forced to spend more time refocusing students and dealing with inappropriate
behavior which cuts down on the amount of instructional time in my classroom. While Tasha s
motivation for monopolizing my time is almost certainly not to deprive other students of having their
questions answered or to keep me from maintaining order in the classroom, these are the inevitable
consequences of her behavior if it continues. By allowing her to continue this pattern, I am also doing
her no favors as she is not learning to be a self directed learner or taking ownership of her own
learning and work if I am constantly at her beck and call to confirm that she is doing just fine. Tasha s
behavior appears to be rooted in a lack of confidence in her own abilities, and she is exhibiting some
signs of learned helplessness. It is unlikely that any particular incident in my class caused Tasha to be
so insecure as low self confidence and learned helplessness develop over time, but certain situations in
class are more likely to trigger her need for confirmation that she is doing her work correctly. She is
most likely to demand my attention when I have shifted the class into individual work time as opposed
to group instruction or discussion. Tasha s insecurities become more pronounced when she is left to
work on an assignment without step by step guidance from me. If she sees other students getting to
work immediately and seeming to breeze through an

Strategic Management to Increase the Growth of the Company:
Strategic management is a broader term that includes earlier steps of determining the mission and
objectives of an organization within the context of its external as well as internal environment. The
basic steps of the strategic management can be examined through the use of strategic management
model.
The strategic management model identifies concepts of strategy and the elements necessary for
development of a strategy enabling the organization to satisfy its mission. Historically, a number of
frameworks and models have been advanced which propose different normative approaches to
strategy determination. The core strategic management elements are:

CVCA Football Team Report
I have had various goals of being a leader at my school. Most of those goals involved sports offered at
CVCA, specifically in football. Being named co captain of the varsity football team, I was able to
accomplish one of my biggest goals.
For the football team, one of my goals was for our team to finish off the season with a winning record.
Although it seemed like we were a small team and many people counted us out, we proved everyone
wrong. Our varsity team consisted of only seven players, which meant that we only had one substitute
throughout the whole season. At times the team felt discouraged and tired due to lack of energy, I
always tried to pump them up and finish off strong. Although our team did not have an undefeated
season, we still ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout my life, I have impacted the lives of few people. Growing up around non Christian
relatives it was hard to express my faith around people who never heard about God. Although it was a
challenge for me, I was able to reach out to one my closest cousins. My cousin s name was ironically
Christian. Christian had a troubled childhood, one that seemed like a nightmare. He was raised by a
single mother, since his dad was fatally shot by a rival cartel in Mexico. Christian would get in and out
of trouble at school, to the point where he was expelled for having possession of marijuana. He was
then forced to go to a military school for kids that had bad grades or bad behavior. During that time, I
would talk to him occasionally to see what he was up to. I knew he was making a lot of bad choices,
but I never judged him for it. I was just waiting for the right day to invite him to church with me. At
that time, I did it because I knew he was lonely and still hurting from the lost of his father. I figured
that it would be a thousand times better for him to be at church than being up to no good. Surprisingly,
Christian accepted the invitation. Due to that choice he made, his life was forever changed. Christian
actually liked the feeling of being at church and told me that he wanted to continue to come along with
me every Saturday. He told me that being in church was the only place that can fill an emptiness he
had deep inside. Sadly, Christian came with me to church a few more times, but strayed away by some
friends who were bad influences. I knew it was going to happen in a matter of time, but I thought his
absence would only be temporary. Few years passed, Christian then invites me over to hang out. As
we talked, he brought up that he wanted to start going to church again. He said that during his absence
he still believed in God, but his girlfriend and his friends kept him from going. I was really shocked,
but at the same time was very happy. Just over a week ago,

Redemption In Mitch Albom s For One More Day
Redemption is a life makeover; it empowers one to take this rare opportunity to become productive
and constructive in order to prove his or her self worth. At times, it also serves as an antidote to cure
one s guilt. In Mitch Albom s For One More Day, Charley is granted that opportunity, and he chooses
to spend a day with his deceased mother, who he neglected when she was still alive. He wants to
express his gratitude to his mother for her kindness and unconditional love. Furthermore, he intends to
do something to absolve himself of guilt. Through examining the conflicts and symbolism, Albom
emphasizes that one must redeem oneself if given that chance. Ultimately, one is able to live without
regrets.
The conflicts of Charley suggest that he struggles to cope with his low self esteem; however, he
manages to retain his dignity through redemption. Redemption is the act to take advantage of a lost
opportunity. In the beginning of the story, Charley is facing a crisis in his life. He loses his job, and his
daughter shuns him due to his poor judgments that lead to his broken marriage. Out of despair, he
wants to end his life by driving his car recklessly. In the nick of time, he says to himself, I had failed
to kill myself. How pathetic is that? I headed toward my old house, determined to finish the job
(Albom 25) . Miraculously, he has gotten out of the crash unscaved. His life is a mess and he can t
even do anything. However, he redeems himself by walking all the way to his

Cult Of Womanhood
Women during this period of time played many roles in taking care of the household, husbands, and
children. However, women did not have the same rights as men, Females did not have the right to
vote, could not own property, nor allowed to attend school and have a job other than taking care of the
household. Therefore, women could not continue like this and was known as The Cult of Domesticity.
The Cult of Domesticity also known as the cult of true womanhood was a designated role that women
had as a wife and mother. This cult prevented women from expressing their opinions or to support any
type of reform. Husbands were the head of the household who would work and control the finances.

The Performance Of The Car Under Test
The analysis of the performance of the car under test was completed using AVL Cruise software.
Various Graphs are obtained so that the actual performance of the car can be determined. Graph 1
(Abundance) prominently shows the torque of the engine at the respective engine speed along with the
specific fuel consumption at that speed. Approximately 230Nm is the maximum torque that can be
obtained at 4200 rpm, trailed by decrease in torque for the remaining speed. A cycle run was
conducted for three different periods of cycle in which the vehicle was accelerated then hold and
decelerated for certain time depending upon the requirement of cycle. Graph 2 A shows the change in
velocity upon change in acceleration for three different cycle times. Also the shift of gears during the
period can be observed. Graph 2 B illustrates consumption of the fuel during the three different stages.
It can be noted that when the velocity was about 50 km/h the fuel consumption was about 5.0 l/h. Also
it significantly notifies that during idling the fuel consumption is 1.6 l/h. In this Graph it can be
inferred that the maximum operating pressure is 12 Bar for a speed of 4200rpm. Maximum fuel is
consumed during the start of the engine at 0.5 bar, fuel consumption gradually decreases with increase
in engine speed. Graph 3 speaks about the maximum operating pressure is 12 Bar for a speed of
4200rpm. Maximum fuel is consumed during the start of the engine at 0.5 bar and also between 0 bar
and 1.6 bar at

Domesticating Exotic Animals
Should exotic animals be brought out of their natural habitat to please a person s wants? What does
exotic mean when pertaining to an animal? According to Merriam Webster dictionary exotic means
not living in the natural habitat the animal is accustomed to living. Taking an animal out of their
normal habitat is cruel and can be torturing. Keeping exotic animals as pets can also be cruel and
unusual punishment, not to mention the dangers that can occur. The expense to care for an exotic
animal can be very costly for instance the food, the space and vaccines if needed. Some exotic animals
can even carry diseases that can be spread to a young child or even an elderly person. Not to mention
the harm that can be done on a human at a given notice. Some states even have legalized that no one
person can own an exotic pet making the smuggling effort into the country costly or deadly to the
animal. Some states a person has to have a licensure in order to own an exotic animal but this does not
protect a person from harm or contracting a disease, this just means one can legally own an exotic
animal. Wildlife should be left just as the name states, in the wild, not as an exotic pet, in their natural
habitat.
With regard to keeping a pet, any animal can be mistreated and could possibly be a danger to their
owner, but exotic pets present some unique dangers to their owners in terms of creating some

The Overall Quality Of Life Of The Asian American Community
Healthcare access, unfortunately, is more difficult for residents for who cannot access transportation
easily. All households in San Francisco, though, are within a quarter mile of a local bus route or rail
station. Proximity, however, does not necessarily equal accessibility, as vulnerable residents like low
income individuals or immigrants have a harder time utilizing services. San Francisco is also known
for having the highest income inequality in the state (CDPH, 2012; SFDPH, 2012).
Experience
One can conclude that the overall quality of life of the Asian American community is moderate. There
is access to resources and services that they need, and most of them are readily available. Not all of
the communities living in San Francisco, though, have equal access to certain services, and there are
still various services that needs to be up to par with the state and national benchmarks. Some of the
major factors that affects access are the inability to pay or distance of the service from their location.
For Chinatown residents, they are living in overcrowded conditions, which can increase their risk for
respiratory and ear infections (CDPH, 2012; SPDFH, 2012). They also face poor sanitation, high

I am always playing when there is no staffs on or at least one and he will probably be facing alot of
problems because there will be no other staffs member online to help him and it will be very hard for
him because different players has different behaviour, if i were to get accepted, i will always be on and
could even help him or any other staff out to solve more issues that occur at that time and we can
watch the server fully because there is only at least 50 players on whenever i am on. This would
benefit the server due to the point that there is a lot of issues going on at different times and they have
to be dealt with quickly. Another reason of why I want to become a staff member is, because
becoming a staff can give more experience of being a staff also learning about teamwork working with
other staffs memeber to solve things or deal with players. I can also apply this knowledge of dealing

Where Tech Savvyness Ends And Where Being A Geek Begins
As we move further and further into a more technological age, lines begin to blur between where tech
savvyness ends and where being a Geek begins. I have been working with computers since I was 8
years old. I remember the good old days where I would sit there with my dad watching him play Zork
for hours on end. In fact that game is one of the reasons I started writing. This was in the mid to late
80 s and the machines had no hard drives and ran completely off of 5 1/4 inch floppy disk s. This was
all fun and games, but I didn t learn much from the experience. I did however learn to maneuver
through the DOS operating system as well as how to execute programs. My real experience didn t start
till around June of 1992. I live in the San Bernardino California area. If you know any history of the
area, in June 1992 there was a massive 7.3 earthquake that shook San Bernardino quite harshly.
Shopping malls all around the area had the roofs cave in. This was a great tragedy but for us a great
learning experience. Because of the earthquake the malls were forced to send all of their computer
equipment to the land fills for insurance purposes, wither they were damaged or not. This is where my
real experience started. My father brought home three PC s that looked more like junk than computers.
With a bit of elbow grease we were able to salvage parts from one of the PC s and get the other two
working. The obviously more powerful PC my dad decided to keep for himself and I got

Questions On Consumer Behaviour And Consumer Behavior
1. Introduction
1.1 Why do marketers need to understand consumer behaviour?
Marketers need to understand consumer behaviour in order to know what the consumer wants from a
product. This is because different types of people will want different things from the products they
buy; for example, an older, married couple will have different needs and wants to a young couple.
Marketers also need to understand the behaviour of consumers to design and construct the best
marketing approach to capture the chosen target market.
1.2 The Scenario
A newly wed couple, in their late twenties, have bought their first house together and wish to refurbish
the kitchen. Each of their parents have given the couple some money towards the kitchen and so they
have a budget of around £5 7000. The couple would like an impressive, contemporary kitchen, with
space to entertain friends and family.
1.3 Aim of the report
In the following sections, matters such as consumer characteristics, types of consumer buying
decisions and what makes the decision making process will be discussed in order to show how an
industry can influence the various stages of the purchase of a kitchen.
2. The Characteristics that Affect Consumer Behaviour
2.1 Personal factors
Personal factors can affect consumer buyer behaviour. For example, factors such as age, occupation,
economic situation, lifestyle and personality can all have an impact on the buyer s purchase decisions.
In this case, the buyers are in their late twenties

Metapath Case Report Essay
METAPHATH SOFTWARE CORP.
BRIEFING NOTE
FINANCING RECOMMENDATION
SEPTEMBER 1997
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this briefing note is to provide recommendations for Metapath Software Corp. (
Metapath ) on its financing offers received in September 1997.
These two offers came from 1) a fund consortium led by Robertson Stephens Omega Fund ( RSC )
and Technology Crossover Ventures ( TCV ) and 2) CellTech Communications ( CellTech ), a vendor
of wireless technology which had recently gone IPO.
2. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Metapath has made good progress in developing its business since its inception generating $6.4m
revenue in the September quarter of 1997 with representation of three large customers. However, with
the ambition to win a good ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Strategic/Business fit between CellTech and Metapath.
4. ANALYSIS
Comparing the term sheet of the offer from RSC and TCV consortium to that of CellTech, RSC and
TCV s PCPT had a much more dilutive impact to Metapath upon exit.
Under liquidation, the term sheet stipulates that the Series E investors is entitled to claim its initial
investment of $10.75 million plus any accrued but unpaid dividend. Any proceeds after this claim will
then be distributed to all common and Series E Preferred shareholders on an as converted pro rata
basis. This double dipping means that RSC will not only recover its initial investment of $5 millions,
but also enjoys the convertible benefits.
As a result, if the sale occurs before 2000, the profitability for A D tranches will be negatively
impacted by the preferred characteristic in the Series E. However if the sale occurs after 2000, A and
B tranches will be gradually redeemed on an annual basis, which will leave C and D tranches to be
mostly impacted adversely by the preferred characteristic in the Series E stock.
Under the circumstance of an IPO, tranches C, D and E will convert to common at their negotiated
prices while A B will be redeemed.
However, on the flip side, the price offered by RSC and TCV consortium was $6, which was
significantly higher than the first three rounds of financing (tranches A,B and C) at

The Impact Of Smart Technology On Technology
The Impact of Smart Technology Technology has improved so much over the last couple decades. One
of the best and biggest technological advancements for this decade is the creation of Smart
Technology. What is Smart Technology? By definition SMART is actually an acronym which stands
for Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology. It is used to protect and prevent errors in hard
drives. The SMART technology basically monitors and analyzes hard drives, then checks the health of
your hard drive and lets you know if there are any problems. The main purpose of SMART is to keep
your hard drive running smoothly and prevent it from crashing. (Christensson 2006). Smart
Technology is changing the way people around the world work, live, play, study, pay bills, shop and
communicate. The effects of technology is becoming younger which is the reason Smart Technology
has such a huge impact on the younger generations. Techno giants are aiming new technology at
younger generations opposed to others, like mid aged to elderly people who sometime struggle with
technology functionality. Although, some elderly may not care or be concerned about modern
technology they may not escape it, it is everywhere. Marshall Mcluhan warned, that technology will
rewire so completely that we might be in danger of becoming their unwilling slave rather than their
master. (nextnature.net/2009) A. Keen wrote in his 2015 edition of The internet is not the answer

Krypton Research Paper
Krypton, the home planet of Superman and the radioactive material, kryptonite... Wait. Wrong
krypton. The krypton we are talking about is the kind you find on the periodic table, and even in many
lighting products, such as gas lasers. Although it is not a planet and can not quite stop the powers of
Superman, the element krypton has some pretty super qualities of its own.
History
Krypton was founded by the Scottish and English chemists, Sir William Ramsay and Morris William
Travers on May 30, 1898 ( The Element Krypton, n.d.). Their goal was to find noble gas elements in
the last unknown 0.05% of air by liquefying and evaporating air (Newton, 2010). Ramsay and Travers
were able to liquefy it by cooling the elements, primarily oxygen, nitrogen and argon, in air to the
point that they changed into a liquid state (around 320.42°F) (Newton, 2010). However, the air
warmed and cause the evaporation of the three main elements, resulting in the discovery of not only
krypton, but additionally xenon and neon (Newton, 2010).
Physical Description Krypton, atomic symbol of Kr, received its name from the Greek word kryptos,
meaning hidden (Newton, 2010). This name is quite fitting seeing as the element is a colorless,
odorless, and tasteless gas ( Krypton, 2007) at room temperature ( The Element ... Show more content

( Krypton, 2007). To put the small percentage into perspective, there are about 8,200 argon atoms,
184,000 oxygen atoms and 685,000 nitrogen atoms for every one krypton atom ( Krypton Element
Facts, n.d.). Krypton is formed in the Earth s crust when radioactive elements, such as uranium, are
broken down, and it is then harvested by liquefying and evaporating air, the same technique in which
it had been discovered (Newton,

Complexity Is Defined By The American Heritage Dictionary
Complexity is defined by The American Heritage Dictionary as the state or condition of being intricate
or complex. Something that is complex is further defined as a configuration consisting of
interconnected or interwoven parts that are complicated. Complicated is then defined as that which is
difficult to understand or analyze. And finally by definition, to understand means to know through
experience and comprehend the nature, significance or intended meaning within a causal framework.
It is important to note from the above definitions that complexity does not merely mean not simple . It
is also critical to realize that the complexity of the system must be related to a perspective of
understanding as it related to a logical causal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So these emergent rules of complexity are not strictly physical laws in the Newtonian sense but rather
arise from the logical constructs, functioning and control of the overall system directive which is in
turn dependent on the governance of physical laws.
Note the role of the observer in this definition and the reliance upon its ability to process and interpret
information. Because of this dependence on a capacity of comprehension by the observer, a complex
system can be considered organized or disorganized. Most people would agree that complex systems
usually have many parts. However, the way those parts interrelate might be difficult to discern. In fact,
there is somewhat of a disconnection between complexity and organization that centers around the
observers understanding of the logical causal framework of the system. Warren Weaver posited that
disorganized or disordered complexity exists when there are a large number of parts within the system
that appeared to interact randomly. Like a mixed solution of chemicals in a glass beaker or gas
molecules within a closed container. The emergent properties of such a system (color, temperature,
viscosity, etc.) can be understood by solely using probability and statistical methods to describe the
interactions of the individual components. By contrast organized or ordered complexity

Analysis Of Departure By Alexandra Felix
De·par·ture; the action of leaving, typically to start a journey. The word departure meant something
different in the story Departure by Alexandra Felix. Divorce, something very hard to go through and
sometimes it may be for the better. Many hard decisions have to be made during the process of divorce
but are they going to be the right ones? As the mom sneaks downstairs in the middle of the night and
is getting ready to go out the door, a surprise greets her and said something that may have impacted
the whole situation. The story Departure is not a flash fiction according to the class requirements. The
length and the plot play a big role in the flash fiction requirments. According to our class fiction
requirements, a flash fiction should ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through the text we have in infer a lot and there were many clues in the story that helped us infer that
this story was about divorce. We have to infer the conflict and what the character are like. They must
be not getting along at this point in life because she is doing something behind his back and the mom
thinks he has also done things behind her back. The same things go with the dialog. Although there is
not much dialog in the story, when there is, it is really meaningful and it serves a good purpose in the
story and it helps advance the plot. If there was no dialog the story would not have ended up the way it
did. For example, He laughs. Momma, you forgot me already! I think if the little boy would never had
asked to hell her a joke, the mom s view on leaving wouldn t have changed. This piece of evidence left
the reader with a lot questions and things that we had to infer. According to the class requirements,
inference and dialog follow the requirements but others don t. Inference and dialog fit the flash fiction
requirements, but does irony and theme? More flash fiction requirements that have to be present in the
story are theme and irony. In the story Departure, there is one theme but it comes in at the end of the
story when the son tells the joke. When a kids says

Multi-Tasking To Music
Introduction to Project There are many steps to explain how the brain and the sense of hearing works,
but putting this one sense and powerful object together is something that could be considered multi
tasking. Multi tasking is the ability to do two different tasks at one time. Listening to music can either
be beneficial or not beneficial to one. It also might be effected by what type of music is being listened
to, such as classic music, pop music, or Chinese music. The ability to do two different things at once is
very skillful, but it could always be harmful. It could hurt your brain, and it can cause your brain to
like overheat because of thinking to much. There are many pros and cons between this multi tasking
way. People either think ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, in restaurants, offices, banks, shops, and hospitals. In all these locations there is usually
a song playing softly in the background. There are many jobs that do use music, such as therapist
because it is proven that it can help increase effectiveness ( Rong ). Multi tasking is doing two things
at once, or trying to do two things at once. When multi tasking your brain works completely different
from just doing one thing at a time. While multi tasking with two different task the front of the brain
takes one task, while the sides work together to achieve the other task that is at hand. Multi tasking
makes the brain go back and forth from the two or more activities ( The Multitasking Mind ). When
two activities are being done at once the brain divides into two different parts, and that was what
Etienne Koechlin. Koechlin also said that by mastering a task it will make it easier to multi task with
that task and another. There was a test that was put together, and there was ten volunteers, and they
were hooked up to a brain monitor, also know as a enchephalogram. The volunteers were forced to
watch a five minutes video of BBC wildlife, but the fact of the video was that it was very boring. They
were asked to remember as much as they could. Then, five more minutes of the same video was
watched, but the volunteers were also forced to book a holiday in Paris on the computer. At this time,
they

  • 2. The History Of Medgar Evers And The Civil Rights Movement Revolution, a sudden, complete or marked change in something (Dictionary.com). The Civil Rights Movement sparked a reaction in the country. The idea of allowing African Americans full rights and privileges left white Americans to brutalize and discriminate. In 1954, Medgar Evers became the first state field secretary of the NAACP in Mississippi. He was a civil rights activist that fought to end the racial injustice he experienced growing up in the South. (Biography.com). He was later murdered by a member of the KKK, but died in the fight for freedom. It takes people to believe, to follow, and to start a revolution. Medgar Evers had a big role in the Civil Rights Movement. Evers also led demonstrations and economic boycotts of white owned companies that practiced discrimination . He stimulated a drive in others a part of NAACP to end intolerance and defeat injustice. (Biography.com). By Medgar and his proposition, he showed other African Americans light through hatred. Evers fought against discrimination to prove he can be just like the others. While he failed to gain admission to the law school, Evers managed to raise his profile with the NAACP. After working with the NAACP, he brought up a case to the Supreme Court Brown v. Board of Education case , which help end segregation issues throughout schools. (Biography.com). Medgar Evers was part of the revolution to end discrimination and injustice for all. Under those circumstances, Evers life was sadly cut short. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Personal Statement On Health And Fitness Health and fitness has always been a big part of my life even without knowing it, but the transition changed from sport and athletics to the gym and trying to achieve what I thought was expected of me socially. After a year of lagging progress and nearly giving up I decided to give it one more shot I just needed to go after it a different way. I needed to educate myself on the process I was going to undergo to achieve my goals. So I turned to the internet, more specifically Youtube, it became my saving grace, unbeknownst to me at the time there was a large fitness community waiting for me behind my Youtube search bar, ready to provide anyone who looks with large amounts of information on Fitness and training, healthy eating and dieting and a major source of positive motivation to help get anyone started. We know most of the facts and usually say that we will take the leap into being healthy in the new year, new year new me right? But don t put off till tomorrow what you can do today, because when it comes down to it you re only missing out on some of life s better outcomes. Training has proven to help with weight issues, combats health conditions and fight diseases, improve mood, increase energy and it also promotes better sleep so with all these positives why not trade in a little time to gain all of these benefits? The biggest problem that I ve found is that many people are getting better at finding excuses not to go, than to go which is increasing the sedentary ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Microsoft Corporation, Innovative And On The Cutting Edge... The city of Seattle is seeking a sponsor for naming rights to the multipurpose arena. The arena serves as the home court for the Seattle Storm of the Women s National Basketball Association and Seattle University basketball of the NCAA Division I Western Athletic Conference. Seattle was recently awarded an expansion team in the National Basketball Association. Residents of Seattle and surrounding suburbs recently voted to name the franchise the Seattle Splash. The current arena which is a property of AEG Facilities is seeking a local corporation that is willing to invest in not only the present, but the future as well. As it stands now, the arena will need to be updated and modernized to compete with other NBA arenas as it was last updated in 1995. My team and I recognize that the Microsoft Corporation is innovative and on the cutting edge of technology. The following proposal will showcase how a partnership between the Seattle Splash and the Microsoft Corporation can provide the winning formula when technology and sports collide. Seattle is excited to be gaining an NBA franchise once again. After the Super Sonics moved to Oklahoma City at the conclusion of the 2007 2008 season, Seattle fans have felt a void that was left in their life. At the conclusion of the 2015 16 NBA season, the Seattle Splash is excited to announce Luke Walton as the head coach. • 5. Vladimir Nabokov s Short Stories Vladimir Nabokov s short stories featured are Signs and Symbols, Bachmann and Terra Incognita. Signs and Symbols focuses on a young boy institutionalized with a morbid paranoia of the outside world and the impact this has on his elderly parents. Bachmann is about a genius composer whose only source of affection is of Madame Perov, whose infatuation is seen in her constant attendance of his piano recitals. Terra Incognito s main character Valliére and his companions are losing their minds and lives to strange hallucigenic fever in a remote country in the fictional country of Zonraki. Strong aspects of all three short stories focus on the alienation of each of the protagonists and the cause of this, either due to madness, great creativity or delusion. This link is forged between the three, which would have not been as obvious. To attempt to show this association, the following question arose, which is: The alienated person is out of touch with himself as he is out of touch with any person. (Erich Fromm, 1955) How does Nabokov convey alienation of characters well in the short stories Signs and Symbols, Bachmann and Terra Incognita? The three short stories, Signs and Symbols, Bachmann and Terra Incognita are going to be examined. Nabokov is interested in people who are forcefully marginalized by society due to their imaginations. He depicts them using a number of writer s tools such as the conflict between characters, the opinions of secondary characters, description of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Scribes who copied the biblical text believed they were copying the very words of God. One group of scribes committed to preserving God s word was the Masoretes. They did three things to preserve the text they received: (1) they developed a system for writing vowels; (2) they developed a system of accents for the Hebrew text; and (3) they developed a system of detailed notes from the text. The majority of the text was written in Hebrew, the remainder in Aramaic. The most important Hebrew copies of the Old Testament are the Masoretic text (the most reliable), the Samaritan Pentateuch and the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Samaritan Pentateuch contains only Genesis through Deuteronomy and originated with the Samaritans. The Dead Sea Scrolls contains part of every Old Testament book except Ester. The Old Testament was also translated into other languages. The Septuagint, a translation in Greek, has been helpful in resolving some portions of the Pentateuch and the Targums helps us understand early Jewish interpretations. How Do We Interpret the Bible? The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olauda Equiano The narrative by Olaudah Equiano gives an interesting perspective of slavery both within and outside of Africa in the eighteenth century. From these writings we can gain insight into the religion and customs of an African culture. We can also see how developed the system of trade was within Africa, and worldwide by this time. Finally, we hear an insider s view on being enslaved, how slaves were treated in Africa, and what the treatment of African slaves was like at the hands of the Europeans. Olaudah spends a good part of the narrative acquainting the reader with the customs of his people. He describes the importance of hygiene to his people. Their overall health and vigor was ... As he put it cheerfulness and affability are two of the leading characteristics of our nation. The village economy was particularly interesting, and Olaudah s descriptions are very revealing. His people needed guns because other villages had them. The guns were brought to Africa by the Europeans, who used them to trade. (That the Europeans both supplied and fulfilled this need bears mention.) Olaudah states that he had never seen a European; his people traded with wandering merchants who acted as middlemen. These middlemen traded guns for potash, which they probably used in trade again elsewhere. Later in his life Olaudah also saw iron pots, crossbows, and European cutlasses among African people. This clearly illustrates the trade that developed between coastal tribes and Europeans, and the existence of middlemen who worked along established trade routes. There is also evidence of the Columbian Exchange in this writing: the crops that Olaudah mentions his people raised. He says that they grew corn and tobacco, These crops were unknown in Afroeurasia before Columbus returned from the New World barely two hundred and fifty years earlier. These two crops traveled from the Western Hemisphere via very indirect trade routes, over a period of many years. They became staples in a rural village miles from the African coast. United States And International Asylum System The principles of protection stated under Article 33(1) of the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees requires refugees to gain access to a state s territory in order to exercise their rights to claim asylum. In order to deter asylum seekers, EU Member States have begun adopting restrictive national asylum systems. National asylum systems undermine burden sharing initiatives due to regional differences. National policy harmonization is an approach to achieve a more equitable distribution of burdens among Member States, but the lack of cooperation between entry point states, transit states, and destination states has resulted in policies committed to deterring refugees and asylum seekers, rather than aimed at their protection. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In 2015, hot spot relocation centres were set up in high concentration regions in order to assist with registration, identification, fingerprinting and to debrief asylum seekers (Hassell 2). Asylum systems in entry point states have become overwhelmed to the point where it has affected receptions and processing conditions. The number of arrivals coupled with a lack of existing mechanisms to mitigate resources has led to a deterioration of conditions in these regions (Hassell 8). Entry point states desire EU burden sharing mechanisms in order to alleviate the strain that migrants place on state systems. Member States that are not in the direct path for receiving and hosting migrants do not want to contribute to this burden, especially when they have nothing to gain. Regrettably, there is an exception to the Dublin Regulation; Dublin transfers enable asylum seekers who move on to other countries after being registered to be sent back to the responsible entry point state to be processed. Dublin transfers increase pressures on entry point states in terms of hosting more asylum seekers. Germany has recently dismissed the Dublin Regulation and has continued to process asylum applications, regardless of the applicant s entry state. Dublin transfers are similar to the concept of non refoulement, in which states are not to expel or send back (refouler) refugees to countries where their life or liberty would ... By allowing her to continue this pattern, I am also doing her no favors as she is not learning to be a self directed learner or taking ownership of her own learning and work if I am constantly at her beck and call to confirm that she is doing just fine. Tasha s behavior appears to be rooted in a lack of confidence in her own abilities, and she is exhibiting some signs of learned helplessness. It is unlikely that any particular incident in my class caused Tasha to be so insecure as low self confidence and learned helplessness develop over time, but certain situations in class are more likely to trigger her need for confirmation that she is doing her work correctly. I knew he was making a lot of bad choices, but I never judged him for it. I was just waiting for the right day to invite him to church with me. At that time, I did it because I knew he was lonely and still hurting from the lost of his father. I figured that it would be a thousand times better for him to be at church than being up to no good. Redemption In Mitch Albom s For One More Day Redemption is a life makeover; it empowers one to take this rare opportunity to become productive and constructive in order to prove his or her self worth. At times, it also serves as an antidote to cure one s guilt. In Mitch Albom s For One More Day, Charley is granted that opportunity, and he chooses to spend a day with his deceased mother, who he neglected when she was still alive. He wants to express his gratitude to his mother for her kindness and unconditional love. Furthermore, he intends to do something to absolve himself of guilt. Through examining the conflicts and symbolism, Albom emphasizes that one must redeem oneself if given that chance. Ultimately, one is able to live without regrets. The conflicts of Charley suggest that he struggles to cope with his low self esteem; however, he manages to retain his dignity through redemption. Redemption is the act to take advantage of a lost opportunity. In the beginning of the story, Charley is facing a crisis in his life. He loses his job, and his daughter shuns him due to his poor judgments that lead to his broken marriage. Out of despair, he wants to end his life by driving his car recklessly. In the nick of time, he says to himself, I had failed to kill myself. How pathetic is that? I headed toward my old house, determined to finish the job (Albom 25) . Approximately 230Nm is the maximum torque that can be obtained at 4200 rpm, trailed by decrease in torque for the remaining speed. A cycle run was conducted for three different periods of cycle in which the vehicle was accelerated then hold and decelerated for certain time depending upon the requirement of cycle. Graph 2 A shows the change in velocity upon change in acceleration for three different cycle times. Also the shift of gears during the period can be observed. Graph 2 B illustrates consumption of the fuel during the three different stages. It can be noted that when the velocity was about 50 km/h the fuel consumption was about 5.0 l/h. Also it significantly notifies that during idling the fuel consumption is 1.6 l/h. In this Graph it can be inferred that the maximum operating pressure is 12 Bar for a speed of 4200rpm. Maximum fuel is consumed during the start of the engine at 0.5 bar, fuel consumption gradually decreases with increase in engine speed. My grandmas basement is very much underground and quite dark without the lights on. My cousins were running around the basement playing around. I started to try to scare them by hiding and popping out saying Boo! . Evening approached and the moon starts to come out of hiding and the night starts to set in. My mom gives me some the water on the bedside table and starts to explain what happened. From what I can decipher from the words in between her sobs is that the ground collapsed beneath me, and I fell into a sinkhole. None of the rest of the house was affected and she tells me that everyone was upstairs except me. That s when they started to search for me and discovered the sinkhole. I wasn t breathing when they found me, but the ambulance came in time to resuscitate me and bring me to the hospital. • 21. The Overall Quality Of Life Of The Asian American Community Healthcare access, unfortunately, is more difficult for residents for who cannot access transportation easily. All households in San Francisco, though, are within a quarter mile of a local bus route or rail station. Proximity, however, does not necessarily equal accessibility, as vulnerable residents like low income individuals or immigrants have a harder time utilizing services. San Francisco is also known for having the highest income inequality in the state (CDPH, 2012; SFDPH, 2012). Experience One can conclude that the overall quality of life of the Asian American community is moderate. There is access to resources and services that they need, and most of them are readily available. Not all of the communities living in San Francisco, though, have equal access to certain services, and there are still various services that needs to be up to par with the state and national benchmarks. Some of the major factors that affects access are the inability to pay or distance of the service from their location. For Chinatown residents, they are living in overcrowded conditions, which can increase their risk for respiratory and ear infections (CDPH, 2012; SPDFH, 2012). They also face poor sanitation, high environmental noise, and residential fires. Chinatown residents are facing an increasingly elderly population, while sitting in a medically underserved area (SFDPH, 2012; Human Service Agency of San Francisco, 2012). Where Tech Savvyness Ends And Where Being A Geek Begins As we move further and further into a more technological age, lines begin to blur between where tech savvyness ends and where being a Geek begins. I have been working with computers since I was 8 years old. I remember the good old days where I would sit there with my dad watching him play Zork for hours on end. In fact that game is one of the reasons I started writing. This was in the mid to late 80 s and the machines had no hard drives and ran completely off of 5 1/4 inch floppy disk s. This was all fun and games, but I didn t learn much from the experience. I did however learn to maneuver through the DOS operating system as well as how to execute programs. My real experience didn t start till around June of 1992. I live in the San Bernardino California area. If you know any history of the area, in June 1992 there was a massive 7.3 earthquake that shook San Bernardino quite harshly. Shopping malls all around the area had the roofs cave in. This was a great tragedy but for us a great learning experience. Because of the earthquake the malls were forced to send all of their computer equipment to the land fills for insurance purposes, wither they were damaged or not. This is where my real experience started. My father brought home three PC s that looked more like junk than computers. With a bit of elbow grease we were able to salvage parts from one of the PC s and get the other two working. The obviously more powerful PC my dad decided to keep for himself and I got ... • 26. Questions On Consumer Behaviour And Consumer Behavior 1. Introduction 1.1 Why do marketers need to understand consumer behaviour? Marketers need to understand consumer behaviour in order to know what the consumer wants from a product. This is because different types of people will want different things from the products they buy; for example, an older, married couple will have different needs and wants to a young couple. Marketers also need to understand the behaviour of consumers to design and construct the best marketing approach to capture the chosen target market. 1.2 The Scenario A newly wed couple, in their late twenties, have bought their first house together and wish to refurbish the kitchen. Each of their parents have given the couple some money towards the kitchen and so they have a budget of around £5 7000. The couple would like an impressive, contemporary kitchen, with space to entertain friends and family. 1.3 Aim of the report In the following sections, matters such as consumer characteristics, types of consumer buying decisions and what makes the decision making process will be discussed in order to show how an industry can influence the various stages of the purchase of a kitchen. 2. The Characteristics that Affect Consumer Behaviour 2.1 Personal factors Personal factors can affect consumer buyer behaviour. Under liquidation, the term sheet stipulates that the Series E investors is entitled to claim its initial investment of $10.75 million plus any accrued but unpaid dividend. Any proceeds after this claim will then be distributed to all common and Series E Preferred shareholders on an as converted pro rata basis. This double dipping means that RSC will not only recover its initial investment of $5 millions, but also enjoys the convertible benefits. As a result, if the sale occurs before 2000, the profitability for A D tranches will be negatively impacted by the preferred characteristic in the Series E. However if the sale occurs after 2000, A and B tranches will be gradually redeemed on an annual basis, which will leave C and D tranches to be mostly impacted adversely by the preferred characteristic in the Series E stock. Under the circumstance of an IPO, tranches C, D and E will convert to common at their negotiated prices while A B will be redeemed. However, on the flip side, the price offered by RSC and TCV consortium was $6, which was significantly higher than the first three rounds of financing (tranches A,B and C) at

One of the best and biggest technological advancements for this decade is the creation of Smart Technology. What is Smart Technology? By definition SMART is actually an acronym which stands for Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Technology. It is used to protect and prevent errors in hard drives. The SMART technology basically monitors and analyzes hard drives, then checks the health of your hard drive and lets you know if there are any problems. The main purpose of SMART is to keep your hard drive running smoothly and prevent it from crashing. (Christensson 2006). Smart Technology is changing the way people around the world work, live, play, study, pay bills, shop and communicate. The effects of technology is becoming younger which is the reason Smart Technology has such a huge impact on the younger generations. Techno giants are aiming new technology at younger generations opposed to others, like mid aged to elderly people who sometime struggle with technology functionality. Although, some elderly may not care or be concerned about modern technology they may not escape it, it is everywhere. Marshall Mcluhan warned, that technology will rewire so completely that we might be in danger of becoming their unwilling slave rather than their master. (nextnature.net/2009) A. • 30. Krypton Research Paper Krypton, the home planet of Superman and the radioactive material, kryptonite... Wait. Wrong krypton. The krypton we are talking about is the kind you find on the periodic table, and even in many lighting products, such as gas lasers. Although it is not a planet and can not quite stop the powers of Superman, the element krypton has some pretty super qualities of its own. History Krypton was founded by the Scottish and English chemists, Sir William Ramsay and Morris William Travers on May 30, 1898 ( The Element Krypton, n.d.). Their goal was to find noble gas elements in the last unknown 0.05% of air by liquefying and evaporating air (Newton, 2010). Ramsay and Travers were able to liquefy it by cooling the elements, primarily oxygen, nitrogen and argon, in air to the point that they changed into a liquid state (around 320.42°F) (Newton, 2010). However, the air warmed and cause the evaporation of the three main elements, resulting in the discovery of not only krypton, but additionally xenon and neon (Newton, 2010). Physical Description Krypton, atomic symbol of Kr, received its name from the Greek word kryptos, meaning hidden (Newton, 2010). This name is quite fitting seeing as the element is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas ( Krypton, 2007) at room temperature ( The Element ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 31. Complexity Is Defined By The American Heritage Dictionary Complexity is defined by The American Heritage Dictionary as the state or condition of being intricate or complex. Something that is complex is further defined as a configuration consisting of interconnected or interwoven parts that are complicated. Complicated is then defined as that which is difficult to understand or analyze. And finally by definition, to understand means to know through experience and comprehend the nature, significance or intended meaning within a causal framework. It is important to note from the above definitions that complexity does not merely mean not simple . It is also critical to realize that the complexity of the system must be related to a perspective of understanding as it related to a logical causal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So these emergent rules of complexity are not strictly physical laws in the Newtonian sense but rather arise from the logical constructs, functioning and control of the overall system directive which is in turn dependent on the governance of physical laws. Note the role of the observer in this definition and the reliance upon its ability to process and interpret information. Because of this dependence on a capacity of comprehension by the observer, a complex system can be considered organized or disorganized. Most people would agree that complex systems usually have many parts. However, the way those parts interrelate might be difficult to discern. In fact, there is somewhat of a disconnection between complexity and organization that centers around the observers understanding of the logical causal framework of the system. Warren Weaver posited that disorganized or disordered complexity exists when there are a large number of parts within the system that appeared to interact randomly. Like a mixed solution of chemicals in a glass beaker or gas molecules within a closed container. The emergent properties of such a system (color, temperature, viscosity, etc.) can be understood by solely using probability and statistical methods to describe the interactions of the individual components. By contrast organized or ordered complexity ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although there is not much dialog in the story, when there is, it is really meaningful and it serves a good purpose in the story and it helps advance the plot. If there was no dialog the story would not have ended up the way it did. For example, He laughs. Momma, you forgot me already! Multi tasking is doing two things at once, or trying to do two things at once. When multi tasking your brain works completely different from just doing one thing at a time. While multi tasking with two different task the front of the brain takes one task, while the sides work together to achieve the other task that is at hand. Multi tasking makes the brain go back and forth from the two or more activities ( The Multitasking Mind ). When two activities are being done at once the brain divides into two different parts, and that was what Etienne Koechlin. Koechlin also said that by mastering a task it will make it easier to multi task with that task and another. There was a test that was put together, and there was ten volunteers, and they were hooked up to a brain monitor, also know as a enchephalogram.
