The Social Security Act Of 1935 And Medicaid Insurance
There has been an increasingly large amount of awareness placed on the governments role in
prevention and standards for the control of health care and communicable diseases. In this growing
effort are provisions applying to long term health and stipulations for proper treatment and care.
Gradually, a shift from local community efforts to care for the elder has transferred to a prominent
government role. Several committees have been created to assist with the implementation and over
view of care and acts to instigate change. Amongst the major changes that have been set in place
effecting long term care, was the passage of the Social Security Act of 1935 and Medicaid insurance.

At this time, federal efforts began to assist with disabled and ill seamen. The Marine Hospital was
founded to deliver federally funded care and began the materialization of the government s role in
public health. As the government s role in public health remains, major changes have been put into
effect, precisely dealing with long term care. Before the 1930 s, providing care for the elderly was
exclusively a local and state run industry. However, after the great depression, a growing demand was
placed on providing some type of insurance for that population. The Social Security Act of 1935 was
established to assist with Federal old age benefits and was signed into effect by President Roosevelt
on August 15, 1935. (Home, 2015) Another major impact to long term care has been the creation of
Medicaid that went into effect in 1965 and was an amendment to the Social Security Act of 1935. Title
XIX of the Social Security Act is a federal and state entitlement program that pays for medical
assistance for certain individuals and families with low incomes and resources Medicaid is a collective
effort between state and the government to help provide insurance for eligible citizens. Among those
covered under this insurance, are the elderly, disabled and pregnant. Medicaid is the largest source of
funding for medical care. The new changes to Medicaid are ongoing and will be put into effect as part
of Obamacare. The Obama administration

Starting from the picturesque village of Gilling East, this walk crosses the wide valley known as the
Coxwold Gilling Gap. The scenery comprises both the Hambleton and the Howardian Hills with a rich
variety of historic and natural features. Gilling East stands at the eastern end of the Coxwold Gilling
Gap, a geological fault which defines the valley separating the Hambleton Hills from the Howardian
Hills. The Gap is about 6 miles (9.6km) long and 1¼ miles (2km) wide and it also links the Vale of
Pickering with the Vale of Mowbray. The village is home to the Ryedale Society of Model Engineers,
whose main activity is the management of a miniature railway which operates within the grounds of

3 Fundamental Metrics
What are the three fundamental dimensions found in physics? How are these three dimensions
represented in the metric system(s) in terms of standard, quantitative units of measure? The three
fundamental dimensions in physics used for measurement are length, mass and time. The metric
system is used globally and is accepted as the standard unit of measurement by the scientific
community. For the metric system, these dimensions are labeled as meter (m), kilogram (kg) and
seconds (s). They are all broken down in to multiples of 10 and use scientific notation and exponents
to note the value. There are also two other measurement systems, International System (SI) that is also
known as the meter kilogram second (MKS) system and the centimeter gram second or CGS system.
The MKS system follows the pattern of the metric system in that everything is in multiples of ten. The
metric system also implements a system of prefixes that also denote quantities, along with the
exponents. The CGS system also follows the basic rules of the metric system; it deals with
measurements on a much smaller scale. Due to the smaller scale, the CGS system is preferred in the
field of chemistry.

Each logarithm has two parts, the characteristic and the mantissa. These are based on the exponential
power that is with the base number. For example, 10^4, we would be looking at the 4, which is the
exponent. The characteristic is the exponent of the base (4). The mantissa is the number(s) after the
decimal point of the exponent. This example is an exact multiple of 10 so the numbers after the
decimal will always be zero. So in simpler terms, the characteristic and mantissa are divided by the
decimal point, characteristic is on the left and the mantissa is on the right of the decimal

Hip Fracture Video Analysis
In this video a patient is having surgery performed on rotator cuff. Usually this kind of surgery is very
server to treat. In the video the surgeon inserts an instrument to see what damage is done to the knee
joint. While the instrument is inserted the surgeon can monitor the scope on the T.V.Surgery is needed
if the shoulder strength does not improve. In the video the instrument used is silver tube about quarter
inch in length. The tube is the size of pencil that also has camera so the surgeon can see on the t.v.
screen. This kind of surgery is performed under sterile condition. In the video three incisions are cut
so there three incisions are only quarter inch in length. Normal saline is used to help with washing out
bleeding. This type of surgery involves joints and local anesthesia to be administered. The procedure
they are performing is rotator cuff surgery. Personal experience this pass December, I had to have
arthroscopy surgery on my right knee I tore my meniscus.

Julian Bream Analysis
have a Julian Bream quote I keep close to my heart. I like it best edited, the way my clarinet teacher
first introduced it to me: I practice more than ever...mostly scales and arpeggios...and anything I can t
do . If I had come across this quote several years ago, I would have likely dismissed it without so
much as a second glance, instantly repulsed by the words scales and arpeggios . But when I first saw
the quote, I was not quite so repelled.
This is strange because I used to despise playing the clarinet, when I was younger, as it seemed the
only sound I could manage to produce was a squeak, ranging unpredictably from an airy hiss to a
deafening, shrill cry. But somewhere along the way, I developed an appreciation for those squeaks,
which, with time, transformed into warmer, more refined tones. ... Show more content on

Now, my mom has to beg me to quit after hearing hours of scales and arpeggios.
The changes were subtle yet inexplicably complex. The clarinet, previously an instrument that seemed
to me a source of primal noise, soon became a thing of varied beauty. Its accent, sometimes playful,
sometimes calm, sometimes impassioned, dreamy or melancholic, like the weakened echo of an echo,
is like the indistinct plaintiff moans of the breeze in the woods. There doesn t exist another musical
instrument I know of that possesses this strange resonance.
Similarly, the music room, previously a place I didn t particularly enjoy being in, quickly became an
abode of serenity. Music stirs me to greater passions or calms me by washing over me like a peaceful
blanket, consoling me in times of strife. In those moments, nothing is going through my mind. I m not

Muscle Respiration Lab Report
Szent Gyorgyi discovered that contraction occurs in the presence of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and
KCI. The rate of the contraction is capable of increasing by the presence of MgCI2. [1] KCI consists
of salt, which is capable of causing muscles to contract in considerable dosages. The dosage given to
the rabbit muscle was a fairly adequate amount, resulting in the muscle contraction of muscle strand
#2 (which received treatment B). The MgCI2, also known as magnesium chloride solution, is used
frequently as a ready to go reaction mixture to increase the reaction of experiments and lab studies.
Magnesium chloride is responsible for speeding up actin activated ATPase activity. When this solution
is added in with ATP, the muscles contract quicker due to the conversion of 10S phosphorylated
myosin to 6S. [2] Conclusively, these mixtures speed up the reaction and degree of muscle
contraction. Muscle Physiology I Formal Lab Report
Purpose:
The purpose of this lab is to test substances and discover which substances conduct muscle
contraction. Three solutions and a controlled solution were given in the laboratory: A (0.25% ATP
solution in distilled water), B (0.25% ATP solution in distilled water + 0.05 KCI + 0.01M MgCI2 in
distilled water), C (0.05M KCI + 0.01M MgCI2 in distilled water), and Controlled solution (distilled

Programme : BTECH MANAGEMENT IV Question 1 Explain how the development of strategy at
the LEGO Group reflect the key characteristics of strategic management outlined in section 1.2 and in
the model in Figure 1.4? Strategy is the long term direction of an organization (Johnson, Whittington
and Scholes, 2011, p.3). The LEGO Group started with the manufacture of stepladders, ironing
boards, stools and wooden toys and has grown into one of the top five toy makers in the world

Due to heavy financial losses and a weak capital structure affecting investment opportunities, the Lego
Group had to look within to find a path forward (Johnson, Whittington and Scholes, 2011). The
company had remained a family run firm for most of it`s history and by Kjeld reinforcing his
responsibility as CEO, it sent a clear signal that the family was behind the company. By divesting in
LEGOLAND parks, writing off other assets and simplifying the corporate structure, this allowed the
LEGO Group to focus on it`s core business. Attention was directed towards resolving distribution
problems and getting closer to retailers in order to understand their sales to end customers. Focus was
placed on cutting costs and the entire procurement process was revised, resulting in fewer suppliers
and significant cost reductions. Supply chain management philosophy changed from outsourced
management, to in house management. This strategy allowed for flexibility and the ability to react to
short term changes in customer demand as a priority over cost (Johnson, Whittington and Scholes,
2011). Research shows that play and the use of toys like LEGO can aid a child`s development
immensely. It helps with basic spatial awareness and colour recognition, but also stimulates a child`s
creative and imaginative thinking (Block Toys, 2011). However, a rapidly evolving society, leaning

religion. I did not know that sociologists were studying in depth about religion and how it has changed
at the same time that society also was changing. I did not know about secularization neither about the
different perspectives that sociologists have about it. It is interesting to see that religion is a topic that
not just psychologists are interested to study, but that there are other professionals who are passionate
to study about religion like anthropologists, sociologists among others, each of them seeing religion in

Essay about Vitiligo and Michael Jackson
Vitiligo is a skin disease in which there is a loss of pigment (color) from areas of skin, ending in
abnormal patches that feel like normal skin. Vitiligo affects 0.5 1% of people worldwide. That means
about two million people are affected by this disease in this country alone. Compared to how many
people live on this earth , the number isn t that large. It s pretty rare to have this disease. One of the
two million people that was affected by this disease was a music icon, the king of pop, Michael
Jackson. Throughout his life, Michael s appearance transformed, especially the color of his skin. The
color of his skin became substantially lighter and in such little time. People were thinking the worst.

Like Dr. Morgan said, the reason people get vitiligo is unknown. Even though a person can get it at
any time in their life, people usually get it between the ages of 10 and 30. It does not matter whether
you are a female or a male or your race; anybody can contract it. At the moment it s believed that a
person cannot be born with it. For vitiligo to be diagnosed, a doctor needs a precise history of illnesses
the patient may have had, family history and scrutiny of a characteristic lesions. There is no clear
pattern of inheritance and no one yet knows which (if any) gene or group of genes is responsible for
the condition in humans , said Dr. Morgan. In an interview with talk show host Oprah Winfrey in
1993, Michael said, It s in my family, my father said it s on his side. I can t control it, I don t
understand, I mean, it makes me very sad . Skin disorders like tinea versicolor need to be excluded.
Mostly doctors diagnose by observation. The loss of pigmentation is more noticeable in people with
darker skin. The doctor can order a skin biopsy to make sure the patient does not have another disease
that is not vitiligo. In some cases, the doctor can suggest the patient get an eye examination to make
sure they do not have uveitis ( inflammation of part of the eye), which can be associated with vitiligo.

The Conflict Theory Of Social Groups
Intergroup Competition is the idea that social groups will extend from the desire for a group to gain
the scarce resources that exist (36 40). This idea is greatly supported by the segment on affirmative
action in the video (36 40). As said in the movie, the idea is that scholarship money and grant money
is a scarce resource when students decide to go to college (37 40). In this view, the individuals who
are against affirmative action are competing for that scarce resource (36 40). By using techniques like
affirmative action and racial and/or ethnic based scholarships present the subordinate group s strive for
power, and the arguments against these resources are the dominant group s attempt to maintain their
power (36 40). Moreover, the strive to gain these programs is not just for their own individual self
interest, but is for the interest of their social group as a whole to maintain the group s desires (36 40).
It is in this belief that s the Realistic Conflict Theory resides (36 40). In this, their exists the view that
this conflict for scarce resources subsequently produces prejudice, in which a privileged group has a
sense of group position and strives to protect it (36 40). This is shown in the video by the idea of
reverse racism, in which the dominant group tries to grain pity for their loss of domination by saying
that affirmative action gives African Americans an unfair advantage, thus racially profiling the
subordinate group while trying to maintain their

College Is A Life Changing Experience For Students
Students Should Live in Dorms
College is a life changing experience for students. College is a new environment for most students and
comes with lots of challenges. Things such as the increased difficulty of academic work and not being
around the same social groups as a student was before college can make the transition very difficult.
One of the best things a student can do to help with this transition is to live in a campus residence hall.
Students should live in dorms because of the community that this creates. Students will gain many
beneficial social interactions, will be able to better complete academic work, and will ease the
adjustment to college life.
Social Interactions Living in the college dorms will allow students many beneficial social interactions
that they would otherwise not have. College dorms are usually divided into floors. Each floor will
have a Resident Assistant that reports to a Resident Director. The Resident Assistant will organize
events for the floor so that the students living together can get to know each other. This is a great
opportunity for the students to meet and find others that have similar interests or majors. Throughout
the semester there will be floor meetings and activities that will help the students meet new people and
make more friends. Generally students will have at least one roommate. This can be someone you
know or it could be randomly assigned. This is a great opportunity to make a good friend when you
first move to college.

Analysis Of The Paschal Mystery And Saint Angela Merici
Around the world, the Catholic faith is celebrated daily in similar and different ways. The Catholic
Church throughout the world shares the same liturgy and arrangement but each Church interprets the
Gospel differently. Whether it be the music, art located the church, symbols, or the delivery of the
message, all services provide a different feeling. The Paschal Mystery is always remembered and
portrayed during mass. My home Parish, Saint Angela Merici has a tall building with a very plain look
to it but our priests are very skilled and tend to never disappoint. Servite s service was long and
overextended due to the Friars being representative to the Servite order. The two celebrations run
similarly but also have contrasts because of diversities within the church and its attendants. At Saint
Angela Merici (SAM), there are 4 columns of wooden pews and a main altar constructed from granite.
Above the altar is a floating crucifix with Christ on the cross. Along the walls of the church are art
pieces depicting the stations of the cross. In contrast, Servite s mass is held in a theater with multiple
rows of individual seats. The altar appears to be a folding table with a cloth covering the legs. SAM
has a very plain interior design, with two statues. One statue is of Mary and the other is of Joseph. Due
to Servite s emphasis on respecting Mary, there is only one statue which is of Mary. SAM s exterior is
very tall and narrow while Servite s theater looks like any other theater

Purchase intention was one kind of behavioral intention, and the so called behavioral intention,

Blackwell et al (2005) claimed that purchase intention is part of behavioral intentions, and behavioral

Impact of the Spanish Conquest on the Aztecs. Essay example
The Aztecs, part of modern day Mexico, were once the epitome of fine culture. They began their rule
of southern and central Mexico during the 14th century and practiced an incredibly wealthy lifestyle.
Nonetheless, this rule began to deteriorate when Spanish explorers disembarked at Tabasco and Vera
Cruz on April 21st 1519. When the Spanish voyagers first arrived, they were welcomed warmly,
respectfully and received Godlike treatment. Montezuma, the ruler at that time, believed that the
Spanish military leader, Hernán Cortés, was the great god Quetzalcoatl. The Spanish took advantage
of this Aztec belief and conquered Mexico within two years. By 1521, the Aztec culture was officially

Although the major government system of Mexico was maintained, some of the changes made to the
government by the Spanish included the medieval concept of hierarchy and other local habits similar
to that of Spain. The hierarchy arrangement was in the shape of a pyramid; the king, being at the top,
had the power to command changes in extensive political matters. Following the king was the Council
of Indies , appointed by the head and acted as supporting advisors. The audiencia or governors
followed; this group included a cabinet, Supreme Court, and an appointed head that was responsible
for dealing with minor issues such as complaints, state affairs, judiciary, etc. A Town Council or
cabildo that was used was derived straight from the urban areas of Spain. The council was comprised
of a mayor, town constable, treasurer, clerk, inspector of weights and measurers, surveyor, pageant
master, etc, all of which had the title regidores meaning members of the Council . Small organized
groups were established, each accountable for their own component in society, hence the Spanish can
be credited for the reformed government that allowed a smooth way of life for the people.
In addition to the various new government concepts, new foods and animals were also introduced to

The Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight Essay
The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven is a book written by; Sherman Alexie. In this book,
Alexie writes about a group of Native Americans who live on the Spokane Indian Reservation. As this
novel may be fiction, some of the stories that are portrayed in the text have some very real meaning
the them. These Native Americans endure lots of heartache and tragedy in this book as they are faced
with problems like alcoholism, car accidents, loss of loved one and houses burning. In the face of
adversity, many of these Native Americans in this story carry on with their lives and become Warriors
. The search for warriors in this publication has many themes that come along with it such as;
Resilience and Forgiveness. This desire of being a warrior drives characters in this book to stand out
and be strong leaders. This is needed because many Native Americans on the reservation needs a
warrior to stand up and fight for them. Currently, a warrior does not have the same meaning as it did
centuries ago. When looking for a warrior we will not find a gladiator or Spartan walking the streets.
What we will find is a person who is strong and resilient enough to carry on and care for his own
family or loved ones around them. A warrior is possible to find today, just many are looking in the
wrong places as this novel give clarity to what a true warrior is. All through Sherman Alexies writing,

In the 1960 s, The Social Security Act, employer provided health insurance and the government had
taken responsibility in health insurance. The additions would provide insurance for the elderly and less

Understanding how the flow of funds falls in line with knowing what transactions take place between
sellers and buyers. It is best to also understand where the monies sources come from, how the money
flows throughout the system and how the funds are used; and how to make the right choices based on
if the resource of supplies in greater than the need to have the product no matter what the cost will be;
this process is known as elasticity or inelasticity (2007). Examining how these behaviors and decision

components that allocate how decisions are made for resources affects the need for supply and
demand. Particularly, microeconomics deals with market breakdown. An example can be when the
market does not resourcefully arrange or distribute services and goods to the consumer (2007).
Inefficient organization of production will result in an unsatisfied buyer being able to purchase their

Toronto Transit Commission Case Summary
Summary of the Case In this case of Toronto Transit Commission v. A.T.U., the union grieved
foreman, Mr. Vito Stina s harassment as it provides an unhealthy work environment. Union sought his
removal, however, employer did not accuse the foreman with any harassments. The arbitrator was
noted that foreman has harassed griever with criticisms and public humiliation, that crossed the
boundary. The harassments continued on a regular basis, which showed ignorance and disrespect. At
the end of the day, foreman has ripped apart griever s dignity. Griever had filed a hand to the employer
explaining the harassments he has been experiencing, however, not much was done. When the
arbitrator was informed about this issue, arbitrator had to conclude that the negative influence and the
impact on the griever was too big to ignore. Therefore, it provided griever $25 000 for the hardships.
Then, arbitrator stated new rules surrounding this problem in order to minimize the may arise: (1) the

Examples Of Who Is Responsible For The Tragedy Of Macbeth
Paige Davis
Mrs. Walker
English IV
15 February 2017
My Wife Made Me Do It Shakespeare s great play The Tragedy of Macbeth, is thought to be published
in the early 1600 s. It gives detail to the demise of Scotland s great (or not so great) kings, and leaves
every reader with the classic question, Who did it? . Macbeth was clearly driven by something when
making all of his choices. Rather that something was the witches, his wife, or simply his own
ambition, there is a reason for his decisions. Which leads back to the question, Who is responsible for
the tragedy of Macbeth? The first option is that the witches are the cause of Macbeth s rise and fall.
The witches provide the possibility that they are the reason for the tragedy. The witches are a huge
supernatural element of the play, which can promote the theme of fate. If it was fate that Macbeth was
to kill Duncan, and eventually Banquo, then it is true, that all great Neptune s ocean could not wash
this blood clean from [his] hand (2.2.58 59). If this is the case, Macbeth had no chance at having clean
hands. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

students will be able to identify three dimensional shapes, and tell if they stack, slide, or roll. Before
anything was edited from my video it was 1hour long. I edited out the second group/center doing the
same thing I did with the group that is in my video. Starting out I was really nervous about being in
kindergarten, because I have mainly been in the upper grades during clinical and my first experience
of student teaching. There was a lot I learned from first experience in different areas where I needed to
grow as a future teacher. I took all of the comments from my mentor teacher and university supervisor,
and applied them to this second experience so I could improve and find other areas I need to
strengthen. As I was videoing this lesson I found myself so focused on the group that I was videoing,
that some of the other groups were getting a little loud. One thing I need to work on is to not let
videoing keep me from correcting other students when they need reminded to stay on task. This is
something new that I felt like I struggled with this second video, because in kindergarten they do
centers. When I was in my first experience it was just I teaching whole group to third graders, and
they knew the expectations from their teacher and myself.

Shakespeare s Othello
The Detrimental Theme of Jealousy
Othello is a classic Shakespearean tragedy that consists of many underlying themes depicted in the
story. One of the most significant themes portrayed in this play revolve around the aspect of jealousy.
Jealousy is a strong feeling of resentment that can overpower a person s good will and compel them to
take involuntary action against one. During the course of this play, we see three main characters that
possess this idea of a jealous nature. The theme of jealousy is recognized in the villainous Iago which
exposes his true self, the pathetic Roderigo, who in turn faces severe consequences, and the great
Othello himself whom jealousy devours, leading him to make rash decisions.
Firstly, the antagonist of the play, whom we know as Iago, plays a major role in conveying the theme
of jealousy from his words and actions. As jealously engulfs him, Iago s true intentions are revealed
and we come to realize the type of character he really is. His jealous nature is noticed at the very
beginning of the play when he states,
One Micheal Cassio, a Florentine...
That never set a squadron in the field,
Nor the division of a battle knows
More than a spinster unless the bookish theoric,
Wherein he toged consuls can propose

The approved six hours of technology time easily can become nine hours, causing students to be less
productive. Not only does the overuse of technology create unproductive situations, it also creates
unsafe situations. AAA reports that, 11 teens die every day as a result of texting while driving.
According to a AAA poll, 94% of teen drivers acknowledge the dangers of texting and driving, but
35% admitted to doing it anyway. 21% of teen drivers involved in fatal accidents were distracted by
their cell phones ( Texting and ). Not only do technology distractions create unsafe situations for teens,
but it also affects adults. Out of 2.5 million car accidents in the United States, regardless of the driver
s age, 64% of them had a connection to cell phones (Hopkins). That means 1.6 million accidents were
potentially caused by distracted driving due to cell phones. Clearly these statistics show that while
teens understand the danger of using their cell phone while driving, it s not preventing them from
doing so. Furthermore, it is not just teens. Adults also are choosing to unsafely use technology as well.
Teens and adults need to stop using their phones in the car before they kill themselves and other
innocent drivers and pedestrians. Some may argue that using cell phones in the car is completely safe
as long as the driver uses a hands free system. Conventional wisdom

Dream Intired By Langston Hughes, Dreams And Dream Deferred
Are dreams alive? Within the thought provoking and inciteful poems, Dreams and Dream Deferred
Langston Hughes uses repetitions, binaries, and strands to bring alive the human subconscious that is
often overlooked in daily life. Although the poems attempt to impart wisdom concerning subconscious
decision making, the fundamental message is about the importance of seeing the silver lining and
seizing opportunities before they become a regret.
A dream is an opportunity to give birth to reality through harvesting thought. Making appearances in
the poems and as part of the title, the word dream dominates both poems in their entirety. The poems
treat the word not as unconscious thoughts that ensue sleep, but as an abstract form of unrealized
potential.
The most notable binary opposition is barren versus explode, which is the decision that Langston
Hughes places on the audience s shoulders. Arnold Schwarzenegger could not have said it better
himself in giving his famous ultimatum as the Terminator, Come with me if you want to live. . Barren
describes lifelessness in space while explode is the action that overcomes it. Explode brings warmth
and life into the cold, barren vacuum synonymous to the Big Bang Theory. While barren and explode
do not actually repeat, they are repeated throughout the poems in other binary oppositional forms: Life
versus die and sweet opposed by rotten. Through these words, the poems express a quiet protest that
holds the death of dreams in contempt of the beautiful, and responsible for what is barren and lifeless.
Throughout Dream Deferred, strands can be spotted that are initially harsh coming off the tongue.
Mental images of rotten meat and festering sores evoke negative connotations that vividly describe
stubborn emotional chaffing. It is the kind of negativity that hit a person straight in the gut like divorce
or home buyer s remorse.
Thereafter, Hughes subtly progresses into a more positive light, not letting the reader forget that the
light does not completely outshine the darkness: Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a
sore And then run? This could be an attempt by Hughes at reassurance, saying that there s light at the
end of the tunnel when one has

but has stuck to its general themes of rebirth, newness, love and acceptance. For instance in the 3rd
issue (2009 2010) the poet Katie Blakely in her poem Dissection, depicts a love story in which the
narrator is speaking to her lover and telling him what exactly she loves about him. She says I really do
love the little things in life, like your voice.. (West 10th, 3 57). Also in the most recent issue this theme
of love is consistent. In the poem Avant le deluge by Shinji Moon, the narrator paints a picture of
lovers experiencing a storm and states that They kissed for the last time, grinning when he opened his
mouth to say I love you , he swallowed an entire sea (West 10th, 6 52). Besides this in the poem
Maritime by Amanda Birkner, a love experience is portrayed by narrating that your mouth is ripe on
mine.. your pioneer hands take the shape of my hips (West 10th , 6 15). This poem, in itself is daring
and the language used might be considered profane and indecent but I think

Motor Vehicle Accidents Are The Number One Killer Of...
When it comes to auto maintenance, every aspect of your vehicle is important. This comes as an
obvious for most car owners. Despite this being common knowledge, a large majority of auto owners
tend to delay or neglect their maintenance altogether. In 2010, British American Auto Care found that
85% of cars in the United States needed repair or maintenance. Not only does regular service and
maintenance reduce your costs, as scheduled maintenance outweighs large repairs, it impacts your
safety. The BAAC study went on to explain that, motor vehicle accidents are the number one killer of
people aged 1 44. Over 2,600 deaths occur each year because of car neglect, and nearly 100,000
disabling injuries happen every year. This means that eleven people are injured every hour and one
person dies every three hours due to accidents which could have been prevented. While all auto
servicing is important, when it comes to the safety of you and your passengers, your tyres are
paramount. The study went on to find that 21% of vehicles studied lacked ideal pressure, 16% lacked
ideal depth and, potentially the most troubling, 11% suffered from tyre damage. While these should
come as obvious facts, let s delve into why exactly you cannot put off your tyre care. If you fail to
maintain your tyres, you should expect to see a decline in your vehicle s stopping distance, ride and
handling, fuel economy and several other core performance components. Even if a tyre appears

One of the causes of water scarcity according to J, Rinkesh, a writer in conserve energy future.com,
Water overuse is a huge issue that a lot of people are dealing with. It may be overused on people,

Premature Babies And The Obstacles Involved
Premature Babies And the obstacles involved As a father who has personally experienced the struggles
and hardships of having a premature child, I feel like giving you information on this subject is a lot
easier for me to share than most things. I will preface by sharing my son s experience; he was born at
26 weeks gestation, weighing 2 pounds, 6 ounces, and spent more than three months in the Neonatal
Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that was available in Columbus, Georgia. A large amount of families with
infants in the NICU asks what the outlook for babies born earlier than 28 weeks might be? Less than 1
percent of babies in this country are born this early (earlier than 28 weeks), but these babies have the
most complications despite great technological advances in medicine today. Premature children born
at an extremely low birth weight (less than 2 pounds, 3 ounces) almost always require treatment with
oxygen, surfactant, and mechanical assistance to help them breathe (even if for a short period of time
until they can breathe on their own without assistance). These babies are too immature to suck,
swallow, and breathe at the same time, so they must be fed through a vein (intravenously) until they
develop these skills to do so. They often can not cry (or you can t hear them due to the tube in their
throat causing a kitten like groan), and sleep most of the day to allow for growth and development
outside of being in the womb. These tiny babies have little muscle tone,

The Witches Dance is a modern dance that has a lot of free movement mostly shown by the smooth
mysterious arm movements. In the context of the play, the dance takes place in a swamp where
Edward Bloom is told his future by a witch. First, the dance steps and movements were way to slow
which made the dance drag on and not look skillful. Throughout the dance, the main witch simply
walked around the stage slowly waving her hands back and forth which is not impressive to watch
because one assumes anyone would be able to perform that movement. Furthermore, I understand that
the scene was supposed to be slow and mysterious, but I think more skillful maneuvers such as slow
controlled spinning could have added to the impressiveness of this dance piece. However, I think the
dancers did do a great job in the extension of their arms and legs from their body. Each of the witches
had long capes connecting to the end of their arms so the long extension looked really impressive and
really dramatized the mysteriousness of the dance. I think the main witch did the greatest job of
extending her arms with the crystal ball which alluded to the significance of the crystal ball. All in all,
the dancers in The Witches Dance were disappointing because they did not use fast speeds, turns, or

The Montgomery Bus Boycott Part 1

peacefully seek civil rights. Blacks in America were once slaves. They had neither freedom nor rights.
Now, in the 20th century, segregation has been abolished and discrimination has largely been reduced
and blacks are more able to live freely as American citizens. In Early 1950 s, blacks did not have civil
rights, so they had to fight for their freedom. In 1955, blacks decided to rally together for social justice
and planned a boycott. This boycott became known as the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This boycott

another way to get to work or school. This strike hurted the bus system. The success of that one day

Entrepreneurship Is The Process Of Opening A New Business
Entrepreneurship is the process of opening a new business; typically the company offers an innovative
product, process or service. As per Carton et al, entrepreneurship is all about the identification of an
opportunity, creation of new organization, and pursuing new ventures. There are many various studies
based on entrepreneurship (directly as well as indirectly) like building and promoting a business,
applying creativity to make an existing business more productive, external skills required in
entrepreneurs, etc. In 1934, Schumpeter has stated that an entrepreneur not only needs to innovative
and creative but also should be able to take risk. His views where then supported by Wickham in
2006. The responsibilities of an entrepreneur ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As opposed to this a small business owner is the one whose objective is to manage stable growth,
sales, and profits for his business.
Every business that comes into existence goes through these phases. Pre inception phase where in the
business model is developed, the assets are allocated and the process is defined. It is then followed by
the inception phase, which incorporates the analysis of the estimated risks and costs. Then beings the
construction phase, where the project plan is prepared and the stakeholders are ready for the system to
function. Then comes the production phase, where the production begins commercially. It initiates
growth of the firm. In the growth phase of any enterprise, there are lots of challenges with the
revenues or profits increasing. The peaking of profits, additional repairs and maintenance charges in
the maturity phase then follows. Post this phase, the enterprise moves towards retirement unless it
splits into a new business model or is taken over.
Many researchers have studied Enterprise growth for decades now. Irrespective of the fact that the
enterprises are large or small and public or private, the growth of an enterprise is concerned with the
plans of the enterprise to execute fundamental changes. These fundamental changes involves multiple
things like modified or new relationships with the markets or / and customers, offering new products
or ones differentiated from those already existing in the markets, offering new services

The Effects of Different Disinfectants on Bacteria Essay
I chose to do the effects of different disinfectants on bacteria because I have always wondered if
disinfectants such as Clorox, Lysol, and hand sanitizer actually kill 99.9 percent of germs. Also, I
know that there are harsh chemicals that can be damaging to us over time. Do these harsh chemicals
get the job done? Maybe taking a green, organic way could be the solution in the future. My main
question is which is the better disinfectant, Clorox Disinfecting Wipes or Lysol Disinfecting Wipes. I
want to uncover the truth about each product and show the reality of both. Are they really getting the
job done?
Household bacteria have always been a problem. Millions of people each year get some sort of
sickness from bacteria in their kitchen, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It serves as a solvent. The pros of water are that it is odorless, colorless, and flavorless. Hexoxyethanol
is also included in Clorox wipes. Hexoxyethanol is also used as a solvent and a grease remover in
household and industrial cleaners. Alkyl C12 18 dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride is used in
cleaning products for their antimicrobial abilities. Princeton University defines antimicrobial as,
Capable of destroying or inhibiting the growth of disease causing microorganisms. Alkyl C12 14
dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chlorides are cleaning agents added to EPA registered cleaning
products for disinfecting or for helping to preserve the formula. This chemical helps the product
maintain its potency while inside the bottle. C12 14 Alcohols Ethoxylated Proproxylated are cleaning
agents that have strong ability to cut through grease and other messes. Citric acid is a natural acid. It is
used as a builder in laundry detergents, dishwashing products, and hard surface cleaners. It is effective
in cleaning soap scum and mineral scale deposits left by hard water on fixtures such as toilets,
bathtubs and sinks. This acid does most of the disinfecting. Fragrances and perfumes are mixtures of

odors. Clorox provides a separate list of all the

A Brief Note On California s Water Crisis
The case study that I will be analyzing and responding to is a major environmental issue in many
areas, especially with the state of California. California s water crisis is a major issue that has brought
the attention to many people to try to fix the problem. With the Central Valley being the agricultural
capital of the world, the current drought issue that we are facing is not only historic, but also very
alarming for several reasons. With the current record breaking drought in California, there are three
factors that are said to be the reasons for causing the drought, which includes rising temperatures,
shortage of water from the Colorado River, and depletion in groundwater (Macdonald, 2015). With
rising temperatures over the years, the environmental changes that occur with this are an increase in
evaporation, which is taking water from reservoirs and other sources where irrigation is coming from.
With climate change with higher temperatures, this is taking away water that is needed to water the
many crops that produce vegetation that is distributed all across the United States. The threatening of
water supplies, especially here in the state of California is an issue that is very much real and is
something that should not be ignored. The second concern that comes with the water crisis in
California comes from the Colorado River water shortage. With the Colorado River being the greatest
source of water for all of Southern California, the source of water has declined

Essay on Controversial Television Advertising
Introduction
Parents today have an obligation to keep their children safe from the harsh reality of life around them.
Just by turning on the television a child is subjected to violence and provocative images, or is shown
the coolness of lighting up a cigarette and drinking alcohol. Television advertisements pose a threat to
preserving a child s innocence; they go above and beyond being an advertisement and become a
weapon that is slowly tearing away at the decency in American homes.
Parental Involvement
Televisions are now equipped with V Chips and Parental Controls, but even on the channels that are
meant for children you can find programming with inappropriate subliminal messages that are meant
to entertain the adults. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is obviously a reference to marijuana use and is inappropriate material for a children s movie,
proving that the movie industry is targeting the adults.
To keep our children safer from harsh television programming, they invented the V Chip. On January
1, 2000, the V Chip became required equipment in virtually all television sets sold in the United
States... The V Chip permits parents to program their television sets to block out violent, sexual or
other programming they don t want their children to see (AGENCY GROUP 03, 2000 p. ?).

Changes In Australian Culture Changed From The 1950 s To...
The period of the 1950s to the 1960s brought about drastic changes to the Australian culture and
history. However, the introduction of rock n roll style music was most influential towards teenagers
and significantly altered history within youth culture because of its relatable tone. Furthermore,
Australian society would not be the same without rock n roll style music, it had shaped and moulded
Australia and impacted our daily activities. Additionally, the introduction of the rock n roll genre had
instigated the hippie and other fashion movements. Ultimately, developments and changes in
Australian history during the 1950 s to 1960 s such as the introduction of rock n roll and its emergence

Nutrition Report On Food Intake Essay
Food Intake According to my three day food diary report, I demonstrated a diet pattern that truly lacks
a healthy balance of vital nutrients. First of all, my kilocalorie intake nearly quadrupled that of my
dietary reference intake (DRI) range. Secondly, my total lipids reported as considered within my DRI
range. However, it was at the highest allowable percentage. Therefore, had it been one percent higher,
it would have been above my recommended dietary reference intake. Third of all, my carbohydrate
intake revealed drastically surpassed my DRI (although it was within my DRI range, when compared
to my total fat and protein amounts, my carbohydrate percentage displayed immensely greater than the
others). Finally, the results of my protein intake were extremely low compared to my suggested DRI
range. In fact, the percentage was at the lowest allowed for my protein DRI, and was dangerously low
in comparison to my total lipid and carbohydrate percentages. Macronutrients According to Institute
of Medicine (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, 2016), macronutrients are
significant to the health (or illness from malnourishment) of humans, because macronutrients are the
sources of nutrients that we rely on the most for energy, growth, and healing, thus, mandatory in
greater amounts. In addition, consuming too few or even excessive intakes of macronutrients
consequently results in negative outcomes on the body, including a myriad of various

Ethical Concerns In The Military
Ethical concerns of AI continue to plague the question whether AI belongs in the military. As it
concerns many, there are some very good ethical reasons to pursue AI use in military circumstances.
Firstly, AI use in the military could potentially lessen casualties in warfare. For example, AI robotic
use in warfare could open the possibility of better decision making. Before responding with lethal
forces, robots can integrate more information from more sources far more quickly than a human can in
real time. This information and data can arise from multiple remote sensors and intelligence. (Arkin,
2009) . This ethical gain could possibly almost eliminate the risk for mistake. The use of AI robotics
could also show its benefits in stressful

The Social Security Act Of 1935 And Medicaid Insurance There has been an increasingly large amount of awareness placed on the governments role in prevention and standards for the control of health care and communicable diseases. In this growing effort are provisions applying to long term health and stipulations for proper treatment and care. Gradually, a shift from local community efforts to care for the elder has transferred to a prominent government role. Several committees have been created to assist with the implementation and over view of care and acts to instigate change. Amongst the major changes that have been set in place effecting long term care, was the passage of the Social Security Act of 1935 and Medicaid insurance. The Marine Hospital was founded to deliver federally funded care and began the materialization of the government s role in public health. As the government s role in public health remains, major changes have been put into effect, precisely dealing with long term care. Before the 1930 s, providing care for the elderly was exclusively a local and state run industry. However, after the great depression, a growing demand was placed on providing some type of insurance for that population. The Social Security Act of 1935 was established to assist with Federal old age benefits and was signed into effect by President Roosevelt on August 15, 1935. (Home, 2015) Another major impact to long term care has been the creation of Medicaid that went into effect in 1965 and was an amendment to the Social Security Act of 1935. Title XIX of the Social Security Act is a federal and state entitlement program that pays for medical assistance for certain individuals and families with low incomes and resources Medicaid is a collective effort between state and the government to help provide insurance for eligible citizens. Among those covered under this insurance, are the elderly, disabled and pregnant. Medicaid is the largest source of funding for medical care. • 4. 3 Fundamental Metrics What are the three fundamental dimensions found in physics? How are these three dimensions represented in the metric system(s) in terms of standard, quantitative units of measure? The three fundamental dimensions in physics used for measurement are length, mass and time. The metric system is used globally and is accepted as the standard unit of measurement by the scientific community. For the metric system, these dimensions are labeled as meter (m), kilogram (kg) and seconds (s). They are all broken down in to multiples of 10 and use scientific notation and exponents to note the value. There are also two other measurement systems, International System (SI) that is also known as the meter kilogram second (MKS) system and the centimeter gram second or CGS system. The MKS system follows the pattern of the metric system in that everything is in multiples of ten. The metric system also implements a system of prefixes that also denote quantities, along with the exponents. The CGS system also follows the basic rules of the metric system; it deals with measurements on a much smaller scale. Due to the smaller scale, the CGS system is preferred in the field of chemistry. 2. Why are standard measurement systems necessary in science? The mantissa is the number(s) after the decimal point of the exponent. This example is an exact multiple of 10 so the numbers after the decimal will always be zero. So in simpler terms, the characteristic and mantissa are divided by the decimal point, characteristic is on the left and the mantissa is on the right of the decimal ... If I had come across this quote several years ago, I would have likely dismissed it without so much as a second glance, instantly repulsed by the words scales and arpeggios . But when I first saw the quote, I was not quite so repelled. This is strange because I used to despise playing the clarinet, when I was younger, as it seemed the only sound I could manage to produce was a squeak, ranging unpredictably from an airy hiss to a deafening, shrill cry. The rate of the contraction is capable of increasing by the presence of MgCI2. [1] KCI consists of salt, which is capable of causing muscles to contract in considerable dosages. The dosage given to the rabbit muscle was a fairly adequate amount, resulting in the muscle contraction of muscle strand #2 (which received treatment B). The MgCI2, also known as magnesium chloride solution, is used frequently as a ready to go reaction mixture to increase the reaction of experiments and lab studies. Magnesium chloride is responsible for speeding up actin activated ATPase activity. When this solution is added in with ATP, the muscles contract quicker due to the conversion of 10S phosphorylated myosin to 6S. By divesting in LEGOLAND parks, writing off other assets and simplifying the corporate structure, this allowed the LEGO Group to focus on it`s core business. Attention was directed towards resolving distribution problems and getting closer to retailers in order to understand their sales to end customers. Focus was placed on cutting costs and the entire procurement process was revised, resulting in fewer suppliers and significant cost reductions. • 11. The Conflict Theory Of Social Groups Intergroup Competition is the idea that social groups will extend from the desire for a group to gain the scarce resources that exist (36 40). This idea is greatly supported by the segment on affirmative action in the video (36 40). As said in the movie, the idea is that scholarship money and grant money is a scarce resource when students decide to go to college (37 40). In this view, the individuals who are against affirmative action are competing for that scarce resource (36 40). By using techniques like affirmative action and racial and/or ethnic based scholarships present the subordinate group s strive for power, and the arguments against these resources are the dominant group s attempt to maintain their power (36 40). Moreover, the strive to gain these programs is not just for their own individual self interest, but is for the interest of their social group as a whole to maintain the group s desires (36 40). It is in this belief that s the Realistic Conflict Theory resides (36 40). In this, their exists the view that this conflict for scarce resources subsequently produces prejudice, in which a privileged group has a sense of group position and strives to protect it (36 40). Things such as the increased difficulty of academic work and not being around the same social groups as a student was before college can make the transition very difficult. One of the best things a student can do to help with this transition is to live in a campus residence hall. Students should live in dorms because of the community that this creates. Students will gain many beneficial social interactions, will be able to better complete academic work, and will ease the adjustment to college life. Social Interactions Living in the college dorms will allow students many beneficial social interactions that they would otherwise not have. College dorms are usually divided into floors. Each floor will have a Resident Assistant that reports to a Resident Director. The Resident Assistant will organize events for the floor so that the students living together can get to know each other. This is a great opportunity for the students to meet and find others that have similar interests or majors. Throughout the semester there will be floor meetings and activities that will help the students meet new people and make more friends. Generally students will have at least one roommate. At Saint Angela Merici (SAM), there are 4 columns of wooden pews and a main altar constructed from granite. Above the altar is a floating crucifix with Christ on the cross. • 24. Examples Of Who Is Responsible For The Tragedy Of Macbeth Paige Davis Mrs. Walker English IV 15 February 2017 My Wife Made Me Do It Shakespeare s great play The Tragedy of Macbeth, is thought to be published in the early 1600 s. It gives detail to the demise of Scotland s great (or not so great) kings, and leaves every reader with the classic question, Who did it? . Macbeth was clearly driven by something when making all of his choices. Rather that something was the witches, his wife, or simply his own ambition, there is a reason for his decisions. Which leads back to the question, Who is responsible for the tragedy of Macbeth? The first option is that the witches are the cause of Macbeth s rise and fall. The witches provide the possibility that they are the reason for the tragedy. The witches are a huge supernatural element of the play, which can promote the theme of fate. If it was fate that Macbeth was to kill Duncan, and eventually Banquo, then it is true, that all great Neptune s ocean could not wash this blood clean from [his] hand (2.2.58 59). I edited out the second group/center doing the same thing I did with the group that is in my video. Starting out I was really nervous about being in kindergarten, because I have mainly been in the upper grades during clinical and my first experience of student teaching. There was a lot I learned from first experience in different areas where I needed to grow as a future teacher. I took all of the comments from my mentor teacher and university supervisor, and applied them to this second experience so I could improve and find other areas I need to strengthen. As I was videoing this lesson I found myself so focused on the group that I was videoing, that some of the other groups were getting a little loud. One thing I need to work on is to not let videoing keep me from correcting other students when they need reminded to stay on task. This is something new that I felt like I struggled with this second video, because in kindergarten they do centers. • 26. Shakespeare s Othello The Detrimental Theme of Jealousy Othello is a classic Shakespearean tragedy that consists of many underlying themes depicted in the story. One of the most significant themes portrayed in this play revolve around the aspect of jealousy. Jealousy is a strong feeling of resentment that can overpower a person s good will and compel them to take involuntary action against one. During the course of this play, we see three main characters that possess this idea of a jealous nature. The theme of jealousy is recognized in the villainous Iago which exposes his true self, the pathetic Roderigo, who in turn faces severe consequences, and the great Othello himself whom jealousy devours, leading him to make rash decisions. Firstly, the antagonist of the play, whom we know as Iago, plays a major role in conveying the theme of jealousy from his words and actions. As jealously engulfs him, Iago s true intentions are revealed and we come to realize the type of character he really is. His jealous nature is noticed at the very beginning of the play when he states, One Micheal Cassio, a Florentine... That never set a squadron in the field, Nor the division of a battle knows More than a spinster unless the bookish theoric, Wherein he toged consuls can propose As masterly as he. Not only do technology distractions create unsafe situations for teens, but it also affects adults. Out of 2.5 million car accidents in the United States, regardless of the driver s age, 64% of them had a connection to cell phones (Hopkins). That means 1.6 million accidents were potentially caused by distracted driving due to cell phones. Clearly these statistics show that while teens understand the danger of using their cell phone while driving, it s not preventing them from doing so. Furthermore, it is not just teens. Adults also are choosing to unsafely use technology as well. Teens and adults need to stop using their phones in the car before they kill themselves and other innocent drivers and pedestrians. • 28. Dream Intired By Langston Hughes, Dreams And Dream Deferred Are dreams alive? Within the thought provoking and inciteful poems, Dreams and Dream Deferred Langston Hughes uses repetitions, binaries, and strands to bring alive the human subconscious that is often overlooked in daily life. Although the poems attempt to impart wisdom concerning subconscious decision making, the fundamental message is about the importance of seeing the silver lining and seizing opportunities before they become a regret. A dream is an opportunity to give birth to reality through harvesting thought. Making appearances in the poems and as part of the title, the word dream dominates both poems in their entirety. The poems treat the word not as unconscious thoughts that ensue sleep, but as an abstract form of unrealized potential. The most notable binary opposition is barren versus explode, which is the decision that Langston Hughes places on the audience s shoulders. Arnold Schwarzenegger could not have said it better himself in giving his famous ultimatum as the Terminator, Come with me if you want to live. . Barren describes lifelessness in space while explode is the action that overcomes it. Explode brings warmth and life into the cold, barren vacuum synonymous to the Big Bang Theory. While barren and explode do not actually repeat, they are repeated throughout the poems in other binary oppositional forms: Life versus die and sweet opposed by rotten. Through these words, the poems express a quiet protest that holds the death of dreams in contempt of the beautiful, and responsible for what is barren and lifeless. Throughout Dream Deferred, strands can be spotted that are initially harsh coming off the tongue. Mental images of rotten meat and festering sores evoke negative connotations that vividly describe stubborn emotional chaffing. It is the kind of negativity that hit a person straight in the gut like divorce or home buyer s remorse. Thereafter, Hughes subtly progresses into a more positive light, not letting the reader forget that the light does not completely outshine the darkness: Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore And then run? This could be an attempt by Hughes at reassurance, saying that there s light at the end of the tunnel when one has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I will preface by sharing my son s experience; he was born at 26 weeks gestation, weighing 2 pounds, 6 ounces, and spent more than three months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that was available in Columbus, Georgia. A large amount of families with infants in the NICU asks what the outlook for babies born earlier than 28 weeks might be? Less than 1 percent of babies in this country are born this early (earlier than 28 weeks), but these babies have the most complications despite great technological advances in medicine today. Premature children born at an extremely low birth weight (less than 2 pounds, 3 ounces) almost always require treatment with oxygen, surfactant, and mechanical assistance to help them breathe (even if for a short period of time until they can breathe on their own without assistance). These babies are too immature to suck, swallow, and breathe at the same time, so they must be fed through a vein (intravenously) until they develop these skills to do so. Throughout the dance, the main witch simply walked around the stage slowly waving her hands back and forth which is not impressive to watch because one assumes anyone would be able to perform that movement. Furthermore, I understand that the scene was supposed to be slow and mysterious, but I think more skillful maneuvers such as slow controlled spinning could have added to the impressiveness of this dance piece. However, I think the dancers did do a great job in the extension of their arms and legs from their body. Each of the witches had long capes connecting to the end of their arms so the long extension looked really impressive and really dramatized the mysteriousness of the dance. California s water crisis is a major issue that has brought the attention to many people to try to fix the problem. With the Central Valley being the agricultural capital of the world, the current drought issue that we are facing is not only historic, but also very alarming for several reasons. With the current record breaking drought in California, there are three factors that are said to be the reasons for causing the drought, which includes rising temperatures, shortage of water from the Colorado River, and depletion in groundwater (Macdonald, 2015). With rising temperatures over the years, the environmental changes that occur with this are an increase in evaporation, which is taking water from reservoirs and other sources where irrigation is coming from. With climate change with higher temperatures, this is taking away water that is needed to water the many crops that produce vegetation that is distributed all across the United States. The threatening of water supplies, especially here in the state of California is an issue that is very much real and is something that should not be ignored. The second concern that comes with the water crisis in California comes from the Colorado River water shortage. With the Colorado River being the greatest source of water for all of Southern California, the source of water has declined ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Just by turning on the television a child is subjected to violence and provocative images, or is shown the coolness of lighting up a cigarette and drinking alcohol. • 48. Nutrition Report On Food Intake Essay Food Intake According to my three day food diary report, I demonstrated a diet pattern that truly lacks a healthy balance of vital nutrients. First of all, my kilocalorie intake nearly quadrupled that of my dietary reference intake (DRI) range. Secondly, my total lipids reported as considered within my DRI range. However, it was at the highest allowable percentage. Therefore, had it been one percent higher, it would have been above my recommended dietary reference intake. Third of all, my carbohydrate intake revealed drastically surpassed my DRI (although it was within my DRI range, when compared to my total fat and protein amounts, my carbohydrate percentage displayed immensely greater than the others). Finally, the results of my protein intake were extremely low compared to my suggested DRI range. In fact, the percentage was at the lowest allowed for my protein DRI, and was dangerously low in comparison to my total lipid and carbohydrate percentages. Macronutrients According to Institute of Medicine (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, 2016), macronutrients are significant to the health (or illness from malnourishment) of humans, because macronutrients are the sources of nutrients that we rely on the most for energy, growth, and healing, thus, mandatory in greater amounts. For example, AI robotic use in warfare could open the possibility of better decision making. Before responding with lethal forces, robots can integrate more information from more sources far more quickly than a human can in real time. This information and data can arise from multiple remote sensors and intelligence. (Arkin, 2009) . This ethical gain could possibly almost eliminate the risk for mistake. The use of AI robotics could also show its benefits in stressful ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
