group with a new group. These reactions compete with elimination reactions in which
a group is eliminated and a ПЂ (pi) bond is formed. Substitution reactions occur
when a nucleophile is added to an electrophile/substrate. Elimination reactions occur
when a base is added to an electrophile/substrate. The electrophile must contain a
leaving group to be considered a substrate. Alkyl Halides Alkyl Halides are the
common substrate used in substitution and elimination reactions. Alkyl Halides are
halogen containing alkane compounds. These compounds are commonly used as the
electrophile in substitution reactions. Naming Alkyl Halides is similar to naming

An Octoroon By Brandenkins Summary
The show that I decided to watch was An Octoroon directed by Branden Jacobs
Jenkins. To start off it seemed like a comedy but then quickly turned to a melodrama.
The play starts with the director telling the audience, in a hilarious way, what inspired
him to write/revise his play. Once done, the playbegins and it starts off with the
slaves of Terrebonne (a slave plantation) discussing the death of their plantation
owner. As they wonder and worry of what will become of their homes, the
plantation owners nephew arrives on the scene and speaks on how he will save the
plantation from being taken away from his families name and save the slaves.
While inspecting the land he falls in love with an octoroon women named Zoe. He
is at the moment sure that he will use the debt money that a neighbor owes him to
buy the plantation and then marry Zoe. But another man named M Closky decides
he wants Zoe and Terrebone to himself. So he decides to steal the debt papers and
kill all witnesses. At the end of the playM Closky ends up getting caught and killed
by a native man and the debt papers are given back to the nephew of the plantation
owner. And the audience is left to assume that he will use the debt money he is going

Seventeen people were fatally shot during the halloween weekend in Chicago in
2016. Among them was a 14 year old high school student. Due to the issues
surrounding Halloween, some schools are taking drastic preventative measures to
implement Halloween policies. These could be offensive, pose a security risk, be
hazardous and high schoolstudents are too old for Halloween costumes anyway. No
wonder why so many high schools will adopt the Halloween costumes policy. Some
costumes are offensive because they reveal too much and/or demean a race, religion,

The Scopes trial happened mainly because the Butler Act was passed, the Butler Act
made it illegal to teach human Evolution in a public school. And even though the

I started Tang Soo Do when I was 4 or 5 years old. I was scared and I did not want
to go onto the mat. I was told by my moms that I had to take martial arts but I did
not want to. I stayed with my martial arts training and learned a whole lot of things.
