The “cloud” is the Internet. You use the cloud everyday.

Your laptop now connects you with a bazillion other
computers all over the world every time you use the
Internet. When you Google something – you are benefiting
from the collective minds around the globe.

We all create and consume media online at an alarmingly
fast pace.


YOUR DAY IN THE CLOUD …
It might be easier to think about things that you do outside
of the cloud!

The cloud is your friend – when you can access your email,
voicemail, docs, calendars, forms, presentations, notes ,
photos, personal information and more from ANYWHERE (in
a secure fashion of course) – that is a very good thing.

So let’s talk about YOUR day in the cloud. Some of these
tools you already have, others will be new to you.


EMAIL Email is a no-brainer. We know
we can access our email from
anywhere we have an Internet
connection.

Consider programs like Gmail to
replace Outlook. If you want
the functionality, without the
price tag and hard drive anchor.


MAKE GMAIL YOUR ONLINE OUTLOOK …

- Contact mgmt that happens organically

VOICEMAIL Consider taking your voicemail

DOCUMENTS Please stop paying for Microsoft
Office.

decent photo editing tools, tuning
and effects. Plus Geo-Tag, create
Collages, and upload to web
albums from here. Try the I’m
Feeling Lucky button for fast
editing.


PRINTING Cloud Printing can be a
challenge! Keep it simple …


HP Eprint – print from anywhere!

Your printer gets its own email address and
you can send it anything, from anywhere at
the touch of a button.

Google Cloud Print – use your old stuff!

By linking an existing office resource to
the printer you can print jobs from the
cloud and have them waiting for you
when you return!

STORAGE So the cloud is AWESOME. But not
AND BACK-UP without fault.

And … cloud storage is only free to
a certain point. If you are storing a
ton of photos and music, you may
have to start purchasing space.

Backing up will save you from
heartache!
