The document discusses routing protocols for wireless sensor networks, including LEACH and PEGASIS protocols. It proposes using a genetic algorithm to optimize the PEGASIS routing protocol in order to create efficient routing chains and maximize network lifetime. Simulation results show that the genetic algorithm approach improves network lifetime compared to the traditional PEGASIS and LEACH protocols.
Grid-Based Multipath with Congestion Avoidance Routing Protocolijtsrd
This Paper gives information about Grid base multipath wireless sensor network. We give a brief introduction about wireless sensor network, how sensor works in this network. How the Routing is done and if there is congestion detected in sensors networks and then how it can be solved. Routing protocols are also classified in several types like Proactive, Reactive, and Hybrid in also given here the details of that. Also here we describe various routing techniques like Traditional and Current techniques. In flooding based techniques, sensor broadcast the information and the destination sensor receives that information. In gossiping techniques, sensor sends information to neighbor sensor and so on. In this paper we also see that if any sensor id dies due to lack of power or any other problems then another path will be routed. Routing protocols are having 3 types Flat routing, Hierarchical routing and Location based routing. In Flat routing SPIN,DD, Rumor routing, etc protocols are used. In hierarchical routing LEACH, PEGASIS, TEEN protocols are used. Now a day LEACH and PEGASIS are widely used in cluster base Wireless Sensor Network. In leach protocol reduced the path using cluster head formulation in this method randomly any sensor make the cluster head n send messages in the network. In pegasis protocol use chaining concept and find the best path from base station to the destination station. PEGASIS and LEACH provide best routing techniques in wireless sensor network but they also have some disadvantages. We also differentiate flat and hierarchical routing techniques in which case which one gives best performances. Here we introduce the readers to Location based routing protocols GEAR and how it route the path is also briefly described here. A Cooperative Cache Management Scheme for IEEE802.15.4 based Wireless Sensor ...IJECEIAES
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) based on the IEEE 802.15.4 MAC and PHY layer standards is a recent trend in the market. It has gained tremendous attention due to its low energy consumption characteristics and low data rates. However, for larger networks minimizing energy consumption is still an issue because of the dissemination of large overheads throughout the network. This consumption of energy can be reduced by incorporating a novel cooperative caching scheme to minimize overheads and to serve data with minimal latency and thereby reduce the energy consumption. This paper explores the possibilities to enhance the energy efficiency by incorporating a cooperative caching strategy.

related to these networks, is routing. One of the most widely used and efficient methods of
routing isa hierarchy (based on clustering) method.
In The present study with the objective of cutting down energy consumption and persistence of
network coverage, we have offered a novel algorithm based on clustering algorithms and multihop routing. To achieve this goal, first, we layer the network environment based on the size of the
network. We will identify the optimal number of cluster heads and every cluster head based on
the mechanism of topology control will start to accept members.Likewise, we set the first layer
as gate layer and subsequently identifying the gate’s nodes, we’d turn away half of the sensors
and then stop using energy and the remaining nodes in this layer will join the gate’s nodes
because they hold a critical part in bettering the functioning of the system. Cluster heads off
following layers send the information to cluster heads in the above layer until sent data will be
sent to gate’s nodes and finally will be sent to sink. We have tested the proposed algorithm in
two situations 1) when the sink is off and 2)when a sink is on and simulation data shows that
proposed algorithm has better performance in terms of the life span of a network than LEACH

Performance Evaluation of LEACH Protocol for Wireless Sensor NetworkAM Publications
This paper gives performance of LEACH protocol. LEACH is the first network protocol that uses hierarchical
routing for wireless sensor networks to increase the life time of network. All the nodes in a network organize themselves into
local clusters, with one node acting as the cluster-head. All non-cluster-head nodes transmit their data to the cluster-head,
while the cluster-head node receive data from all the cluster members, perform signal processing functions on the data (e.g.,
data aggregation), and transmit data to the remote base station. Therefore, being a cluster-head node is much more energyintensive
than being a non-cluster-head node. Thus, when a cluster-head node dies all the nodes that belong to the cluster lose
communication ability. This paper gives performance of LEACH protocol considering parameters i) Packet Delivery Ratio ii)
Throughput iii) Delay iv) lifetime.

WSNs encompass a multitude of spatially distributed sensor nodes or devices employing radio signals for communication. Positioned strategically in a geographical area, these sensor nodes operate independently to collect information from their surroundings. Given their often remote and inaccessible locations, human interaction with deployed sensor nodes is limited. The core function of sensor nodes in WSNs involves sensing environmental data and transmitting it to a centralized base station or sink node. Subsequently, the collected data undergoes analysis, demonstrating the vital role of WSNs in facilitating data driven insights within the realm of computer science. Analysis of different hierarchical routing protocols of wireless sensor networkeSAT Journals
Abstarct Wireless sensored network is nowadays very popular in the field of research because world is now switching faster from wired communication to the wireless communication. It is used in environment monitoring, habitat monitoring, battlefield etc. WSN is made up of tiny sensor nodes which senses the data and communicate to the base station via other nodes.WSN networks are data-centric rather than node centric. So, main issues in WSN networks are energy consumption of network, lifetime of a network, delay, latency, quality of service etc.WSN has defined many routing protocols for the network. The main challenge in WSN is to design a routing protocol which gives the maximum energy efficient routing because nodes in sensored network are equipped with the battery. So, as time passes the battery of nodes will decrease so in turn network lifetime will decreases. There are many routing protocols which are classified as their working and their application to different conditions. This paper describes a brief information about routing protocols. The main focus of this paper is to give the comparison of different hierarchical routing protocols. Keywords: Leach, Pegasis,Teen/Apteen, WSN

Optimizing the Performance of I-mod Leach-PD Protocol in Wireless Sensor Netw...ijsrd.com
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a networks of thousands of inexpensive miniature devices capable of computation, communication and sensing. WSN is being been attracting increasing interest for supporting a new generation of ubiquitous computing systems with great potential for many applications such as surveillance, environmental monitoring, health care monitoring or home automation. In the near future, wireless sensor network is expected to consists of thousand of inexpensive nodes, each having sensing capability with limited computational and communication power which enables to deploy large scale sensor networks. Large scale WSN is usually implemented as a cluster network. Clustering sensors into groups, so that sensors communicate information only to cluster-heads and then the cluster-heads communicate the aggregated information to the base station, saves energy and thus prolongs network lifetime. LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) protocol is one of the clustering routing protocols in wireless sensor networks. The advantage of LEACH is that each node has the equal probability to be a cluster head, which makes the energy dissipation of each node be relatively balanced. In LEACH protocol, time is divided into many rounds, in each round, all the nodes contend to be cluster head according to a predefined criterion. This paper focuses on how to set the time length of each round, how to adjust threshold based on the residual energy, and the measurement of energy required for transmission, based on the distance of cluster head from the base station, to prolong the lifetime of the network and increase throughput, which is denoted as the amount of data packs sent to the sink node. The functions of residual energy and required energy, and the time length of each round are deduced, thereby modifying the threshold value calculation. These functions can be used to enhance the performance of cluster-based wireless sensor networks in terms of lifetime and throughput.
ANN Based Secured Energy Efficient Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks with D...ijtsrd
A wireless sensor network, or WSN, is made up of many sensor nodes that can join quickly to the base station. The information is sent to the central spot after being processed at the sensor nodes. When data is sent in a place where there is no coverage, there will be a delay. Not only is there a big delay, but the amount of energy used goes up by a big amount as well. To solve this problem, a method of network coding called energy efficiency and secure routing protocol EESR is used. This way is meant to make multi hop routing protocol safer and use less energy. Some people think that using ANN to automate IDS could help improve the energy efficiency of routing in wireless sensor networks while keeping a certain level of security. Dynamic Deterministic Finite Automata DDFA and Particle Swarm Optimisation PSO are used in the suggested work to find intrusions. Also, data is sent in a safe way by figuring out and then taking the fastest and most efficient route. People have said that a new Deterministic Finite Automata could be used to make the network more active. DDFA PSO gives information about the node inspection, packet inspection, and route inspection. This information is used to find and get rid of hackers, so that data can be sent in the most efficient and cost effective way along the best route. The routing through the best path improves the overall performance of the sensor network, and an analysis of the results shows that the suggested method is better than the existing routing schemes in terms of energy efficiency, network throughput, average one way delay, and lifetime of the network. A Research on Cluster Based Routing Methodologies for Wireless Sensor Networksijtsrd
The design of Wireless sensor networks has currently significant attention due to their limitless potential and has great value of applications such as not closely connected environmental monitoring and target tracking. This has been motivated by the development and availability of small, low cost and intelligent sensors. A wireless sensor network is a collection of sensor nodes prearranged into a cooperative network. These sensors nodes are outfitted with limited processing and computing resources. Since radio transmission and reception consumes a lot of power, one of the critical suspicions in wireless sensor network is the inherent limited battery power within the sensor nodes. Therefore battery power is one of the vital parameter for an algorithm design to increase the lifespan of the sensor node. Recent researches have been carried out in investigating diverse aspects in connection with low power routing protocols. In this paper, the focus is mainly driven towards the review of energy efficient cluster “based available routing protocols for wireless sensor network. Also a methodology by which optimal routing can be achieved in the context of energy is portrayed artistically. Venkateswarulu Naik. B | G. An Energy Aware Routing to Optimize Route Selection in Cluster Based Wireless...ijtsrd
A Wireless Sensor Network WSN is an autonomous, self organizing, and self configuring network with the capability of speedy deployment anywhere. Internet of Things IoT nodes are use cloud storage to collect information from sensors and transfer it to other IoT nodes or networks via cloud services. Energy efficient communication is likely one of the main conversation factors in WSN, so efficient routing is critical to make use of full power consumption and enhance the network performance. This research proposes an Energy Aware Cluster based Wireless Sensor EACW routing protocol that optimizes route selection by clustering of nodes in a Wireless Sensor IoT network. However, one of the biggest problems to be handled is the energy wastage in transport. Limited energy is one of the prime concerns in WSN IoT and efficient routing is the primary focus to improve energy utilization, which increases the network performance. LEACH is an energy based protocol that works on a cluster based mechanism to make use of the energy efficiently. In this research, we compare the performance of the LEACH protocol with that of the reactive on demand protocol in order to make the most of the networks energy constraints. The proposed scheme shows that nodes have at most imprecise state information, mainly under strong link establishment. EACW routing selects optimizes routes higher energy base route resolution , generates clusters, and has power measurement of each cluster member and cluster head. LEACH chooses that specific node for data transmission so that work raises the reliability of communication. The efficiency of the proposed EACW protocol is compared with CBRW and the performance matrices like live nodes, throughput, overhead and CH and CB information. Apurva Anand | Dr. Sadhna K. The Impact of Digital Media on the Decentralization of Power and the Erosion ...ijtsrd
The impact of digital media on the distribution of power and the weakening of traditional gatekeepers has gained considerable attention in recent years. The adoption of digital technologies and the internet has resulted in declining influence and power for traditional gatekeepers such as publishing houses and news organizations. Simultaneously, digital media has facilitated the emergence of new voices and players in the media industry. Digital medias impact on power decentralization and gatekeeper erosion is visible in several ways. One significant aspect is the democratization of information, which enables anyone with an internet connection to publish and share content globally, leading to citizen journalism and bypassing traditional gatekeepers. Another aspect is the disruption of conventional media industry business models, as traditional organizations struggle to adjust to the decrease in advertising revenue and the rise of digital platforms. Alternative business models, such as subscription models and crowdfunding, have become more prevalent, leading to the emergence of new players. Overall, the impact of digital media on the distribution of power and the weakening of traditional gatekeepers has brought about significant changes in the media landscape and the way information is shared. Further research is required to fully comprehend the implications of these changes and their impact on society. This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Sustainable Energy by Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Sadikuijtsrd
Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. The paper addresses the issue of sustainable energy, its attendant benefits to the future generation, and humanity in general. Paul A. Adekunte | Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Janet O. Concepts for Sudan Survey Act Implementations Executive Regulations and Stand...ijtsrd
This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. In the last few decades, there has been a growing awareness of the importance of geomatics activities and measurements on the Earths surface in space and time, together with observing and mapping the changes. In such cases, data must be captured promptly, standardized, and obtained with more accuracy and specified in much detail. The paper will also highlight the current situation in Sudan, the degree to which survey standards are used, the problems encountered, and the errors that arise from not using the standards and survey specifications. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Location-based Protocols
Sensor nodes are named by means of their locations in
location-based protocols. The distance of position
information sensor networks between two unique energy
consumption nodes can be determined.
Hierarchical Protocols
Clustering is an energy-efficient communication protocol in
the hierarchical Clustering protocol that can be used by the
sensors to circulate their sensed data to the sink.
Data Centric Protocols
Data is delivered from source sensors to the sink in data-
centric protocols, as the source sensors circulate. Their data
to the sink; some form of aggregation can be done by
intermediate sensors on the data originating from several
source sensors and the aggregated data can be sent into
the[5] sink. Due to lower transmission needed to transmit
the data from the sources to the sink, this process will result
in energy savings.
LEACH
LEACH is the first network protocol that uses hierarchical
routing for wireless sensor networkstoincreasethelifetime
of network. All the nodes in a network organize themselves
into local clusters, with one node acting as the cluster-head.
All non-cluster-head nodes transmittheirdata tothecluster-
head, while the cluster-head node receive data from all the
cluster members, perform signal processingfunctionson the
data (e.g., data aggregation), and transmitdata totheremote
base station. Therefore, being a cluster-head node is much
more energy-intensive than being a non-cluster-head node.
Thus, when a cluster-head node dies all the nodes that
belong to the cluster lose communication ability.
LEACH incorporates randomizedrotationofthehigh-energy
cluster-head position such that it rotates among the sensors
in order to avoid draining the battery of any one sensor in
the network. In this way, the energy load associated with
being a cluster-head is evenly distributed among the nodes.
Since the cluster-head node knows all the cluster members,
it can[6][7] create a TDMA schedule that tells each node
exactly when to transmit its data. In addition, using a TDMA
schedule for data transfer prevents intra-cluster collisions.
The operation of LEACH is divided into rounds. Each round
begins with a set-up phase when the clusters are organized,
followed by a steady-state phase where several frames of
data are transferred from the nodes to the cluster-head and
onto the base station. Hierarchical protocols are defined to
reduce energy consumption by aggregating data and to
reduce the transmissions to the Base Station. LEACH is
considered as the most popular routing protocol that use
cluster based routing in order to minimize energy
consumption.
Low EnergyAdaptiveClusteringHierarchy(LEACH)protocol
is a TDMA based MAC protocol. The principal aim of this
protocol is to improve the lifespan of wireless sensor
networks by lowering the energy consumption required to
create and maintain Cluster Heads. LEACH Protocol is a
typical representative of hierarchical routing protocols.
It is self-adaptive and self-organized. LEACH protocol uses
round as unit, each round is made up of cluster set-up stage
and steady-state stage, for the purpose of reducing
unnecessary energy costs, the steady stage must be much
longer than the set-up stage.
Advantages
Outperforms conventional routing protocols
LEACH is completely distributed, requiring no control
information from the base station
Nodes do not need global topology information
Disadvantages
Nodes must have data to send in the allotted time
Perfect correlation is assumed, which might not be true
always
PEGASIS
PEGASIS is Power-Efficient Gathering in Sensor Information
Systems. PEGASIS form open chain staring from node which
is farthest from Base Station .PEGASIS assume that global
information is available. This algorithm uses greedy
algorithm for chain construction. Before first round of
communication chain formationisdone.Duringformationof
chain care must be taken so that nodes already in chain
should not revisited .When a node die then chain is
reconstructed by bypassing that node. In data gathering
cycle each node forms a[8] data packetofitsownin network.
For each data gathering cycle leader is elected among all
nodes in network. Each node in network receives a data
packet and fuses it with its own data and forwardsittoother
neighbouring node. PEGASIS uses a simple token passing
approach which is initiated by leader to start data
transmission from ends of chain.
GENETIC ALGORITHM
The Genetic Algorithm is a heuristic search algorithm
focused on natural selection and evolution principles.
Genetic algorithmsareevolutionaryalgorithms(EA)thatuse
genetic operators, such as mutation,selectionandcrossover,
to solve optimization problems. In a genetic algorithm, the
candidate solution (fitness value) is created by developing a
population of chromosomes. The chromosomepopulation is
generated randomly.
Results and Discussion
The work performed requires applying the PEGASIS
protocol. The protocol is implemented using the traditional
PEGASIS implementation form, Greedy Chain. The Genetic
Algorithm is then used to execute it. From the farthest node
from the base station, the greedy chain initiates the creation
of the chain. The next node, at a smaller distance from the
others, is picked. So the inter-nodal distances are
determined and the nodes are chosen. During this process,
the distances start to increase towards the end of the chain,
resulting in further dissipation of energy. All simulations
were performed on an area of 100m*100m and nodes were
distributed randomly in this field. Using 100 nodes, the
implemented protocol PEGASIS is simulated.PEGASISusesa
greedy approach and a Genetic Algorithm to construct the
chain. Each node has an initial energy level that is the same.

Conclusion
We have introduced a new protocol for WSN routing
operations in this research paper. The protocol is
accomplished by optimising routing paths using the GA
algorithm, providing efficient multi-path data transmission
to obtain secure communications in the event of node faults.
We aimed to preserve the full network life time, while
effectively achieving data transmission. In terms of data
collection and network lifespan, our analysis wascompleted
to assess the efficiency of the Genetic algorithm, LEACH and
PEGASIS protocol. In addition, itisconcludedthattheoverall
performance of the Genetic algorithm is higher in terms of
data collection than PEGASIS.
Future Work
Other optimization algorithms such as particle swarm
optimization (PSO), artificial bee colony algorithm (ABO) to
get optimised or shortest path should investigate potential
changes to the gathering mechanisms for further
improvements in reliability.
