What Is An Inverter?
Inverter heat pumps are more powerful and more energy efficient than fixed speed heat pumps.
GREE inverters use sensitive signal processors to vary the speed of the heat pump to match the
requirements of your living space. When the desired temperature is achieved, inverter technology
ensures it is continually maintained – keeping you comfortable with lower noise levels than fixed
speed heat pumps.
Power Saving Technology
GREE Sine-Wave DC Inverter technology allows a room to reach the required temperature more
rapidly than a fixed speed heat pump. It also eliminates the stop start operation used by fixed
speed heat pumps. This can lead to power savings of up to 30% when sized correctly for the living
space.
• 180 degree Sine
– Balances input power supply to give more efficient performance.
• High speed DSP (Digital Signal Processor)
– More efficient unit control.
• Twin rotary compressor
– Smoother rotation and less vibration.
• Power factor correction technology (PWM)
– Gives higher effi ciency and better
compressor protection by matching
the inverter control wave to a
smoothed sine wave form.
• 1W standby, PCB Protection
– Reduces energy consumption
– Switched mode power supply gives
better printed circuit board protection

The Benefits
Quiet
Often noise levels are quoted for the smallest
model on the slowest fan speed to achieve the
lowest possible noise level. However, in reality
these units will not heat your open plan living
area and you will require a much larger heat
pump. For example 50m2 could require a 6kW
unit. The larger the heat pump the more air you
are required to move. The more air you move the
more noise generated. So for a more reasonable
comparison of noise levels compare each model
from high to low.

*Standard practice is to measure the sound of the indoor unit at 1 metre. Noise levels drop by
6db when the distance doubles. So if you are sitting 3 metres from the air conditioner on medium
speed generating 42dBA, the noise level you will hear will be approximately 32.5dBA or the
equivalent a quite rural area.
I Feel
This clever feature enables the unit to take temperature readings from where we sense the indoor
temperature rather than where the indoor unit senses the temperature. By pressing the “I Feel”
Sensed Temp 26°C
button the room temperature is now recorded from a sensor in the remote control rather than
from the unit itself. This gives intelligent temperature Actual Temp 29°C
control where it is needed and provides a
more precise and comfortable environment.

Better Air Quality
The Cozy Hi-Wall Inverter heat pump includes a range of filters that clean the indoor air and
remove oxygen free radicals thus improving the air quality.
There are 5 filter options available:
• Active Carbon is an excellent absorber removing harmful gases from the air.
• Silver Ion is an almost perfect sterilising technology. Attacks bacteria and micro-organisms.
• Catechin is an additive with excellent anti-oxidisation and powerful sterilisation properties.
• Vitamin C Emission Filters release antioxidant vitamin C into the air, the active carbon or
oxygen radicals in the air are suppressed which results in effective deodorization.
• Green Sterilising Filters support the filter and provide a mould-proof and sterilising function.

Features
Intelligent Defrosting
• Maximise warm comfort with shorter defrosting time.
Defrosting Defrosting GREE I-Defrosting Traditional Defrosting
• Traditional defrosting works by running the defrost cycle
based on a pre-set timer sequence.
Heating Heating (60mins) (8mins) (70mins) (5mins) (70mins) (50mins) (10mins) Defrosting GREE I-Defrosting Traditional Heating
Defrosting Defrosting Defrosting Defrosting
• GREE I-Defrosting is only performed when needed,
which reduces energy waste by eliminating unnecessary
defrosting.
Cold Air Prevention
To prevent cold air blowing into a room when the unit is first turned on or after defrosting the
indoor fan will remain off until the indoor coil reaches the desired room temperature setting.
Mould and Odour Prevention
When used as an air conditioner and once turned off the indoor coil is wet and provides a great
environment for mould and bacteria to grow. With GREE, once the heat pump is switched off the air
direction panel closes and the indoor fan continues to run until the indoor coil is dry. This helps to
keep the coil clean and prevents the growth of mould and bacteria as well as reducing bad odours
in the heat pump.
Wide Temperature Operation
GREE air conditioners and heat pumps are designed to
operate efficiently from -15 to +45 deg C

De-Humidifying
GREE heat pumps have an independent dehumidifi cation system in-built. Upon selecting this
mode the heat pump runs in cooling mode with the indoor fan speed on low. The heat pump
cycles the compressor to allow the indoor coil to be coated in ice before defrosting the coil and
removing the moisture from the room. This allows the unit to reduce the level of humidity in the
room without over cooling the room.

fan speed to cool or heat the room quickly so
that the ambient temperature approaches the pre-set temperature as soon as possible. This allows
the unit to unload quicker providing better comfort levels and energy usage.
Intelligent Air Flow
Automatically adjusts air flow depending on the selected mode. In cooling the air is directed across
the room and allowed to sink and in heating the air is directed down in a form of a waterfall before
rising back up.
Anti-Corrosion Outdoor Unit
All GREE condensing coils have the fi n stock coated with a blue
hydrophilic coating giving greater corrosion resistance. All GREE
condensing units are made from galvanised sheet steel that is then
painted for added protection. Stainless steel screws
are used throughout.
Specifications
Heating and cooling capacities are based on AS/NZ 3823.1.1.
Running current is rated at ASNZ 3823 standards and does not include compressor start-up or
power supply variations. Failure to comply with relevant Government regulations may void the
warranty. Due to continuous product improvements, specifications are subject to change without
prior notice.

Window Air Conditioners

  • 1. Cozy Hi Wall Inverter Heat Pump Find out more at www.greeonline.com
  • 2. What Is An Inverter? Inverter heat pumps are more powerful and more energy efficient than fixed speed heat pumps. GREE inverters use sensitive signal processors to vary the speed of the heat pump to match the requirements of your living space. When the desired temperature is achieved, inverter technology ensures it is continually maintained – keeping you comfortable with lower noise levels than fixed speed heat pumps. Power Saving Technology GREE Sine-Wave DC Inverter technology allows a room to reach the required temperature more rapidly than a fixed speed heat pump. It also eliminates the stop start operation used by fixed speed heat pumps. This can lead to power savings of up to 30% when sized correctly for the living space. • 180 degree Sine – Balances input power supply to give more efficient performance. • High speed DSP (Digital Signal Processor) – More efficient unit control. • Twin rotary compressor – Smoother rotation and less vibration. • Power factor correction technology (PWM) – Gives higher effi ciency and better compressor protection by matching the inverter control wave to a smoothed sine wave form. • 1W standby, PCB Protection – Reduces energy consumption – Switched mode power supply gives better printed circuit board protection between 85V - 265V Conventional Inverter PWM Inverter 85V~265V (SMPS model) 180V~260V 180V~260V Better PCB protection between 85V-265V 0 100 200 300 (Normal model) 0 100 1W 3W (SMPS model) (Normal model) 85V~265V (SMPS model) Better PCB protection between 85V-265V. 0 100 200 300 (Normal model) 0 100 200 300 1W 3W (SMPS model) (Normal model)
  • 3. The Benefits Quiet Often noise levels are quoted for the smallest model on the slowest fan speed to achieve the lowest possible noise level. However, in reality these units will not heat your open plan living area and you will require a much larger heat pump. For example 50m2 could require a 6kW unit. The larger the heat pump the more air you are required to move. The more air you move the more noise generated. So for a more reasonable comparison of noise levels compare each model from high to low. NOISE LEVELS Television / Dishwasher Normal Speech Kitchen / Bathroom Washing Machine on wash cycle Cozy 6kW* Hi-Wall Inverter Quiet Rural Area Soft Whisper/Rustling Leaves Average Threshold of Hearing 66 60 40 35 33 30 20 15 40 *Standard practice is to measure the sound of the indoor unit at 1 metre. Noise levels drop by 6db when the distance doubles. So if you are sitting 3 metres from the air conditioner on medium speed generating 42dBA, the noise level you will hear will be approximately 32.5dBA or the equivalent a quite rural area. I Feel This clever feature enables the unit to take temperature readings from where we sense the indoor temperature rather than where the indoor unit senses the temperature. By pressing the “I Feel” Sensed Temp 26°C button the room temperature is now recorded from a sensor in the remote control rather than from the unit itself. This gives intelligent temperature Actual Temp 29°C control where it is needed and provides a more precise and comfortable environment. • 4. Better Air Quality The Cozy Hi-Wall Inverter heat pump includes a range of filters that clean the indoor air and remove oxygen free radicals thus improving the air quality. There are 5 filter options available: • Active Carbon is an excellent absorber removing harmful gases from the air. • Silver Ion is an almost perfect sterilising technology. Attacks bacteria and micro-organisms. • Catechin is an additive with excellent anti-oxidisation and powerful sterilisation properties. • Vitamin C Emission Filters release antioxidant vitamin C into the air, the active carbon or oxygen radicals in the air are suppressed which results in effective deodorization. • Green Sterilising Filters support the filter and provide a mould-proof and sterilising function. • 5. Features Intelligent Defrosting • Maximise warm comfort with shorter defrosting time. Defrosting Defrosting GREE I-Defrosting Traditional Defrosting • Traditional defrosting works by running the defrost cycle based on a pre-set timer sequence. Heating Heating (60mins) (8mins) (70mins) (5mins) (70mins) (50mins) (10mins) Defrosting GREE I-Defrosting Traditional Heating Defrosting Defrosting Defrosting Defrosting • GREE I-Defrosting is only performed when needed, which reduces energy waste by eliminating unnecessary defrosting. Cold Air Prevention To prevent cold air blowing into a room when the unit is first turned on or after defrosting the indoor fan will remain off until the indoor coil reaches the desired room temperature setting. Mould and Odour Prevention When used as an air conditioner and once turned off the indoor coil is wet and provides a great environment for mould and bacteria to grow. With GREE, once the heat pump is switched off the air direction panel closes and the indoor fan continues to run until the indoor coil is dry. This helps to keep the coil clean and prevents the growth of mould and bacteria as well as reducing bad odours in the heat pump. Wide Temperature Operation GREE air conditioners and heat pumps are designed to operate efficiently from -15 to +45 deg C Temperature Sleep Curve for Cooling Time Temperature Sleep Curve for Cooling Time Heating Heating Heating Heating Heating Heating Heating (60mins) (8mins) (70mins) (5mins) (70mins) (50mins) (10mins) (50mins) (10mins) (50mins)
  • 6. De-Humidifying GREE heat pumps have an independent dehumidifi cation system in-built. Upon selecting this mode the heat pump runs in cooling mode with the indoor fan speed on low. The heat pump cycles the compressor to allow the indoor coil to be coated in ice before defrosting the coil and removing the moisture from the room. This allows the unit to reduce the level of humidity in the room without over cooling the room. Sleep Mode Temperature Sleep Curve for Cooling The temperature overnight does not stay the same. This allows the unit to unload quicker providing better comfort levels and energy usage. Intelligent Air Flow Automatically adjusts air flow depending on the selected mode. In cooling the air is directed across the room and allowed to sink and in heating the air is directed down in a form of a waterfall before rising back up. Anti-Corrosion Outdoor Unit All GREE condensing coils have the fi n stock coated with a blue hydrophilic coating giving greater corrosion resistance. All GREE condensing units are made from galvanised sheet steel that is then painted for added protection. Stainless steel screws are used throughout.
