This keynote will highlight how to sell through info commercials. Designed to “sell” a product or inspire people to donate to a good cause. • To employ technology that demonstrates effective use of 21st-century skills.
The wave of Economic reforms appeared on India’s shores in 1991, much after china’s and other south East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. Due to economic reforms, however delayed they were, Indian economy were able to brake the shackles of heavy protectionism and license raj. Economic reforms (1980s reforms and 1991 reforms) did bring out the economy from the shameful reference of so called “Hindu Growth rate” of witnessing almost stagnant 3.5% GDP growth rate. Since independence India being a country with a demographic reality which are both challenging and unique, has a perennial problem of providing employment to millions of job seekers. The other fact which is unique to India only is that service sector contribution into growth rate has risen sharply in the developing countries’ economies like India in nineties, and, therefore, have become a self propelling and dynamic sector in the accelerated growth in the economies.
This study focuses on service sector as a vector of Indian globalization. The impact of new economic reforms which acted as a catalyst for service sector is to be reviewed as they opened door for the growth rate of the country and made India a destination of FDI inflow and out flow but that increased growth rate is not translated in providing employment to the millions.

An analysis of the term business model in literature showed that there is a wide range of definitions available. The application of business models as a conceptual tool was not as clearly defined in practice as might have been hoped. Depending upon organisational background and culture, the perception of business models was very different. Mostly it was thought of as “something for the marketing and sales departments to consider” rather than for corporate management and strategists to align their strategic choices against, or for the core organisation to link with their strategic choices regarding technology developments.
In the proposed course, the business models and their evolutions will be defined referring to the main categories of actors of the iCargo Reference Value Chain. Each type of actors is pursuing its own value system on the basis of the key elements that identify and characterize the nature of its activities and business. The focus of the business models is just on those elements that distinguish the value-creation links between the involved actors in the Reference Value Chain. Hence, these elements are identified, explored and structured to find out the business model the fit at best the needs of the three main categories of actors.
At a conceptual level, a business model includes all aspects of a company’s approach to developing a profitable offering and delivering it to its target customers. Research conducted in the last ten years has established a link between business model innovation and value creation. This research points to the need for organizations to build a competency in business model innovation exploring possible business model alternatives.
Starting form this assumption, the goal of the course is to demonstrate how the iCargo ecosystem modifies the current business scenario and market, by treating the business models as a variable and not a constant element. In this way we will be able to highlight the impact of iCargo not just as an enabler of operational improvements on the current business, but as a support infrastructure for new value proposition and new ways of cooperation in the logistics market. For this purpose, we will explore the concept of a business model and propose a new methodology to find out the evolution of the market due to the iCargo innovations.

Logistics and supply chain in rural india the opportunityAmarwaha
As the Indian retail, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors are poised for rapid growth; they are faced with new challenges when it comes to logistics and supply chain issues — particularly in the untapped rural areas for farm produce and delivery of goods and services.
With over 70 per cent of the economy centered around the rural parts of the country, logistics players are now seeking ways to address this issue as about $100 billion worth potential is latent in the rural parts of the country. India still prohibits foreign direct investment in multi-brand retailing but continues to be pressured by multi-national giants since as Wal-Mart and Tesco, from the UK. In response the Indian government has told these global retail chains that they should invest in the back-end infrastructure before any consideration can be given to the opening up of the Indian retail market.
Logistics management is the part of supply chain management that plans, implements, and controls the efficient, effective forward, and reverse flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements

Logistics and Supply Chain Management-OverviewThomas Tanel
This presentation is designed to take an overview of global supply chain logistics, both in terms of today's supply chain and in the demand flow management process, so you can know how to make the most of this powerful tool. You've probably heard something about these topics. You may even be vaguely familiar with them. But how much do you really know about their strategic importance and the specific benefits you can gain from having a solid understanding of them?
Here's the best way to investigate global supply chain logistics and the impact it can have on your organization. You will have the opportunity to explore a variety of logistics areas , extrapolate their meanings in ways that are appropriate for strategic planning, and apply the techniques needed to make it all work for your organization.
Your business needs and technology are in a constant state of rapid-fire change, but you can count on one thing remaining constant: the need to align logistics strategically with your market needs in order to gain a competitive advantage. This alignment requires building a supply and demand system that truly helps you respond to worldwide changes in sourcing and ever-shifting customer demand. What is the potential effect that global trade management will have on your supply chain? How do you convert digital value inputs into logistics value-added outputs? How can you harness the power of global supply chain logistics as a significant force in the execution of your corporate strategy? How can you gain the information you need to translate abstractions into concrete benefits through supply chain management and continuous flow distribution?

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

Linda Kimball is married to Rocky Kimball, formerly of Rocky’s Pizza fame. Although she was
raised in Idaho, they’ve lived in Smithfield for over 30 years so they are nearly old-timers in that
community. They are the parents of 4 children and grandparents of 11 grandchildren who live
from Hollywood CA to Houston TX. Linda enjoys reading, writing, traveling and camping, but
doesn’t get to do any of them nearly enough. She also enjoys knitting and crocheting. Linda
works at the Utah State University Research Foundation (USURF) as the Special Assistant to the
President. She serves as the Recording Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation and
the rest of her time is spent on special projects for the President. In the past some of those have
included strategic planning coordinator and leading the creation of a Continuation of Operations
Plan for the organization. She loves the challenge and variety of her job. She’d like to retire so
there would be more time for her hobbies, but is having too much fun working.
USURF provides business operations services for the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL). SDL
has been responsible for the design, fabrication, and operation of thousands of sensors on
hundreds of payloads ranging from aircraft and rocket-borne experiments to space shuttle
experiments, small satellites, and satellite-based sensor systems. Some of these projects are
completed by students from USU working part-time for SDL. As one of 14 University Affiliated
Research Centers in the nation, SDL conceives and develops state-of-the-art sensor and satellite
systems and performs space, air, and ground-based experiments. They develop prototype sensor
hardware and associated software. Most of their work is done for various government agencies
including NASA. Some of their work includes the 2009 WISE project with NASA and
components for the International Space Stations, as well as the Mars rover named Curiosity. The
engineers and supporting personnel are proud of their contribution to society.
