Turia Pitt is an Australian mining engineer, motivationalist, and author who was caught in a bushfire during an ultramarathon in 2011, suffering burns to 65% of her body and losing fingers from her left hand and right thumb. Despite facing severe injuries, she has shown great courage and strength, being named Woman of the Year in 2014 and finalist for Young Australian of the Year. She serves as an inspiration for others facing adversity in their lives.
