Fun games to keep your kids active and outdoors this winterEmily Mark
Winters come with the added necessity of keeping kids warm and often indoors to keep them safe from the cold. This could mean that their activity reduces and they become more prone to getting lazy. This is not only harmful for their physical health but can also lead to them getting overweight over time.

Condolences Strategies by Jordanians to an Obituary Status Update on FacebookYasser Al-Shboul
Unlike other speech acts such as refusals, apologies, requests and advices, the speech act of giving condolences has not yet been explored adequately. This study intends to investigate the speech act of condolences in Jordanian Arabic that are conveyed via a social network site, i.e. Facebook. The data focused on the condolences made as a response to an obituary status update on a deceased contemporary Jordanian actor in 2011. Based on 678 posted comments, the researchers were able to identify seven major strategies in the commentary; which were: praying for God‟s mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, reciting Quranic verses, enumerating the virtues of the deceased, expressing shock and grief, offering condolences, realizing death is a natural part of life; and using proverbs and sayings. To ensure consistency in the comments, the data was first analysed by the researchers of the present study before three independent raters were invited to analyse the same data sample (condolences). The raters‟ analysis in the commentary reflect the seven major strategies identified by the researchers. The results revealed that the strategies were attributed to the respondents‟ religious orientation (i.e. Islam). Moreover, the findings also indicate that the majority of condolences in Jordanian comments are affiliated to faith and religious beliefs. The results obtained provide useful information to cross-cultural comparison studies and other related studies.

ABSTRACT
Successful management was and remains the goal of every company. What changed over time
are the ways in which it was accomplished. Technology was once a key, former mode of
operation, but today it is the skill and management ability to attract employees for their own
idea, vision, strategy. Processes of modernization of business and management, abandoning
traditional, obsolete and introducing new, modern management styles – are transition
processes as well. Many people are forgetting them, but without them any other transformation
can hardly be successful. Therefore, the transformation and training of a company for a high-
quality market entry must incorporate management transformation (change in the
understanding of the role of management) and introduction of a modern management concept.
It is necessary to enter new knowledge in this area into companies and extend them all the way
to the operational levels. This paper seeks to emphasize the importance of a good internal
marketing and communication in the company and to point out that employees who perform
their business are the most valuable assets of each enterprise, that the strength of the enterprise
is in the capacity of all employees, and that employees are those who make the enterprise what
it is. They are the ones that give life to the enterprise and enable it to function. The purpose of
the application is to apply the modern techniques and knowledge of internal marketing and
advance the business performance of the company.
Keywords: internal marketing, communication, motivation, integration, collaboration,
teamwork
1. INTRODUCTION
One of the most important tasks of management is to create an environment and a climate that
motivates employees. Survival and success increasingly depend on the day-to-day mobilization
of the intelligence of all employees, and the task of management to continually create the
conditions for expressing and using their potentials is expected to be increasingly important in
the future. The modern enterprise places a high quality organizational climate and culture in the
center of attention, and the key precondition for the creation of such a culture and climate are
satisfied and loyal employees. Employees are not an address for sending appeals to work better,
to be disciplined, to engage more, or to ...
Effectiveness of knowledge management depends on how knowledge management process are aligned with an organizations infrastructure and processes that supports the achievement of organizations goals. To understand and represent relationships a simple list of elements and process is scanty, we need a holistic framework where all are integrated into a dynamic framework. The proposed framework is particularly focused on dividing the identified organizational building blocks into their constituent elements along both time and content dimensions to define characteristics of these elements, and it also define the relationships between the organizations to form a social ecology in which people effectively create share and use knowledge in business management. In this way, the developed framework can assist management to understand the true nature of the relationship that exist between an organization and knowledge management process, and exploit them for an organizations success.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
