Compressed Earth Blocks, often referred to as (CEB) or Earth Blocks, are a pretty amazing building material. Here is a quick look at how amazing this natural building method really is.
Since the beginning of time people have been using the earth for building. Jericho, the earliest city recorded in history, was built of earth. Throughout history earth construction can be seen worldwide. The Egyptians, Mayan, Inca, Greeks, Romans, Chinese, and other European civilizations have long histories of earthen construction.
Compressed Earth Blocks make a healthier home which has the lowest embodied energy and CO2 footprint of any building material while also creating a building that is 80% more energy efficient to operate.
Compressed Earth Blocks are:
- Economical Natural Building Solution
- Fire Proof
- Bullet Proof
- Bug Proof
- Sound Proof
- Mold Proof
- Non- Toxic
- Disaster Resistant
Earth Block buildings also regulate humidity and temperature because the walls are breathable.

Green building material - Compressed earth blockAditya Shah
A compressed earth block (CEB), also known as a pressed earth block or a compressed soil block, is a building material made primarily from damp soil compressed at high pressure to form blocks.
Low cost housing refers to houses that are inexpensive to build. IT doesn't mean that the houses will be inexpensive to live in.
The goal of low-cost housing is to save money while also maintaining buildings quality.
Following Properties Reduces Cost of Construction:
Locally available materials .
Improved skills and technology.
Without sacrificing the strength, performance and life of the structure.

Transparent concrete is a concrete based building material with light-Tran missive properties due to embedded light optical elements usually Optical fibres. Light is conducted through the stone from one end to the other. Therefore the fibres have to go through the whole object. Transparent concrete is also known as the translucent concrete and light transmitting concrete because of its properties. It is used in fine architecture as a facade material and for cladding of interior walls. In this paper, to integrate the merits of concrete and optical fibre, for developing transparent concrete by arranging the high numerical aperture Plastic Optical Fibres (POF) or big diameter glass optical fibre into concrete. The main purpose is to use sunlight as a light source to reduce the power consumption of illumination and to use the optical fiber to sense the stress of structures and also use this concrete as an architectural purpose for good aesthetical view of the building.
Building Design has become very complex and National Building Code 2005 recommends that there should be an integrated approach for the design from the very beginning. This has to be achieved by team work, with the team consisting of the Architect, Structural and Services (Electrical, Mechanical, Air-conditioning, Plumbing, Sanitary) engineers.
These alternate building materials can be used when it meets the respective specifications in the code of practice. Here some new materials and technology is discussed as well and a list many alternate materials for foundation, roof and walls are presented with details of each.

Reducing Embodied Carbon with David Mar - COTE 3/8/2011aiasf_11
Reducing Embodied Carbon in the built environment will play an increasingly important role in reducing overall carbon emissions over the next 20 years. For buildings, the focus has mostly been on reducing emissions by reducing the use of fossil fuels for operating energy. But we also need to reduce the carbon emissions embodied in the materials and resulting from the construction phase. As buildings become more efficient to operate, the embodied energy and emissions from materials and construction becomes an increasingly significant portion of total GHG emissions.

Architecture involves use of various different construction materials that require a unique constructiontechnique. But most of these construction techniques are energy intensive techniques.
Mud construction system is less energy intensive and very effective in different climatic conditions.
Earth is one of man's oldest building materials and most ancient civilizations used it in some form. It was easily available, cheap, and strong and required only simple technology.
Earth Homes Builders specializes in constructing innovative and sustainable earth homes. With their expertise in earth-based construction techniques and commitment to environmental harmony, they create dwellings that prioritize sustainability and offer a unique connection to nature.
This is a Power Point Presentation I created as an assignment for the Special Topics class I took last semester. It features a tiny house constructed with straw bales and finished with adobe and cob. It is meant to be fully sustainable using only earth-friendly materials.

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. This paper provides actionable insights and strategic recommendations for businesses seeking to leverage branding, social media, and website design as potent tools to enhance their market position and financial success.

7 Alternatives to Bullet Points in PowerPointAlvis Oh
So you tried all the ways to beautify your bullet points on your pitch deck but it just got way uglier. These points are supposed to be memorable and leave a lasting impression on your audience. With these tips, you'll no longer have to spend so much time thinking how you should present your pointers.
Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.
You could be a professional graphic designer and still make mistakes. There is always the possibility of human error. On the other hand if you’re not a designer, the chances of making some common graphic design mistakes are even higher. Because you don’t know what you don’t know. That’s where this blog comes in. To make your job easier and help you create better designs, we have put together a list of common graphic design mistakes that you need to avoid.

Clay plasters on the interior and lime plasters on the exterior allow
the walls to breathe. This is another way that the energy
consumption of the structure is reduced. The regulation of humidity

CEB has excellent thermal performance due to the thermal mass of the
earth blocks, reducing heating and cooling costs.
Thermal testing: From May 31 to June 3, 2004, the Biology Dept. of
Southwest Texas Junior College, Del Rio, Texas, conducted tests for
thermal change on three structures: concrete block, adobe and
compressed earth block.
Results indicate the interior temperature of the adobe and CEB
modules were significantly lower than for concrete blocks.
With a maximum ambient temperature of 107 °F (42 °C), the interior
temperatures were:
Concrete Module: 111 °F (44 °C) (4 degrees Fahrenheit above ambient)
Adobe Module: 95 °F (35 °C)
CEB Module: 91 °F (33 °C)
