Atomic DDL's Implementation In MariaDB 10.6 DDL's are crash-safe. Ensure tables are consistent and no temporary tables on Disk during crash. Support all Storage Engine Uses ddl_recovery.log for tracking. Track the temporary tables and have backup of .frm files --log-ddl-recovery ( location of log file )
Simulating DDL Recovery : Load the data using sysbench and try creating an Index. Crash the MySQL during DDL. Index : CREATE INDEX k_4 ON sbtest. sbtest1; DDL Recovery log File ( While DDL is on Process )
During the crash recovery a ddl_recovery-backup.log is generated at startup. DDL Recovery log File ( While DDL is on Process )
SKIP LOCKED & NOWAIT
SKIP LOCKED & NOWAIT Example SELECT * FROM t FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED; SELECT * FROM t FOR UPDATE NOWAIT; It is similar to MySQL 8.0 ( Skip locked and nowait ) Used with "FOR UPDATE" Helpful in handling locks on Hot tables Uses The Key Word ( SKIP LOCKED and NOWAIT ).

Note : Primary Key can't be made ignored ( invisible ). Ignored Indexes An index can be made ignored by the optimizer ( Invisble ). Keywords "IGNORED" and "NOT IGNORED".
