The Efforte Business forum provided useful information and international cooperation on topics related to trafficability, silviculture, and big data applications. Future work is still needed in these areas, such as developing more accurate soil type and dynamic trafficability maps, and more cost-effective mechanized silviculture methods. The forum aligned with the common R&D needs outlined in the Efficient Wood Supply 2025 vision, focusing on trafficability, efficient silviculture, big data applications, validating impacts, and management/dissemination. While the forum involved theoretical modeling, publications, and method development, companies are seeking ready-to-use tools and results.
