4. Web 2.0 in the Classroom The following Web 2.0 tools can be utilized in various ways to enhance instruction as well as parent involvement in the classroom environment.

5. http://www.toondoo.com Toondoo would be a great tool to further language development. The children help create their own comics. The students provide the words to be inserted into their individual creations. Finished products can be read to their classmates, and/or shared with families at home.

7. http://myfamily.com 2.0beta This is a wonderful site, that can connect the classroom and individual families together. It provides opportunities to share photos with families, or to create projects with them. (Especially useful when working on ‘All About Me’) It allows the children to create words to tell stories about classroom and family pictures. Classroom events/reminders can be sent to each of the families. Weekly newsletters can be sent each week to help communicate as to what’s going on in the classroom.

8. These Web 2.0 tools I have presented, as well as others, would be great tools to further develop skills in each of the developmental areas that are worked on each day in the classroom.
