The case discussed in this paper is that of whether water should be privatized or be a public asset.
Nestle's chairman and former CEO Peter Brabeck states that water is not a right and it should be
privatized as it is raw materials.
Water is needed for everything, and all human beings and animals need it in order to live.

Counterarguments
There are several counterarguments from proponents of privatization of water. The proponents of
water privatization state that by having the private sector in charge of the distribution would make
the process more efficient than the public sector doing so. There's no specific study and this cannot
be predicted accurately as this has not happened previously. However, the distribution system has
already been set up by the public sector and also the public sector has been handling the operations
for years which equates to more experience in the field than other private companies would have.
Another argument proponents of water privatization have is that they believe that it would cost less
if the private sector took charge of the distribution of water. There's a wrong idea that shifting the
burden from the public sector to the private sector taxpayers would pay less as the company would

Project Summary The Navajo Nation reservation covers parts of New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona
making it the largest Native American Reservation in the country. However, this vast land has little
infrastructure for moving the water supply from one area to another, coupled with a long–lasting
drought diminishing water reserves and the contamination of some water sources from industrial
mining, the Navajo Nation faces severe limited access to clean water (1). Without natural sources of
clean water or the ability to easily move water to those in need, the Nation must rely on hauling

The contamination was ultimately found to be Escherichia coli 0157:H7 commonly referred to as E.
coli or EC0157. Investigations by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the
Missouri state and county public health departments determined the most probable source of
contamination was leakage of sewage near broken water main lines that then entered the drinking
