● After changing the dates from Jan, 1
2018 - Jan 1, 2019 we found that the
library website has a 66.58% bounce rate.
● Main pageviews are the library landing
page at 37.07% and databases at 17.67%.
● The /library/collections/databases has
the longest session time at 4:36 as well
as the second highest bounce rate at
79.44%.
● Hours is the fourth most viewed page
with 4.01% of pageviews.
Hotjar shows that
people are using
the library
computer to get to
GoWMU.
● 22.56% of users are trying to navigate to
GoWMU.
● 28.6% of users are using the Library
homepage to search.
● 8.67% of users are trying to find
databases.
● Hours page is checked on mobile just as
much as desktop if not more.
Further analysis
shows
complications in
database page
along with
GoWMU being
main spot for
students.
● Target audience: WMU students who
need to check out books or use
databases, visitors of the library.
● Users seem to have difficulty navigating
through the databases page.
● Main users use library computers to get
to GoWMU.
Recommendations
that can help

● The most vital page to change would be
putting the hours at the top of the main
page to make them easier to access for
visitors.
● Highlight updates currently happening at
the library.
● Providing better navigation throughout
