 Vitamins are organic compounds which are
needed in small quantities to sustain life.
 We need to take vitamins from food because the
human body either does not produce enough of
them or none at all.
There are currently 13 recognized vitamins.
:::2Types:::
1. Fat soluble vitamins: Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in
the fatty tissues of the body and the liver. Fat-soluble
vitamins are easier to store than water-soluble ones and
can stay in the body as reserves for days, some of them for
months. Fat-soluble vitamins are absorbed through the
intestinal tract with the help of fats (lipids).
Example: Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble.
2. water soluble vitamins: Water-soluble vitamins do
not get stored in the body for long - they soon get
excreted in urine. Because of this, water-soluble
vitamins need to be replaced more often than fat-
soluble ones.
Example: Vitamins-C and all the B-vitamins are
water-soluble.

 Play essential role as coenzyme in the metabolism of
nervous system. Thus this combination normalizes
the nerve cell metabolism.
 It supports the regeneration of nerve fibers and
myelin sheath (Myelin is a fatty white substance that
surrounds the axon of some nerve cells, forming an
electrically insulating layer. It is essential for the
proper functioning of the nervous system) by
activation of the metabolism and the natural repair
mechanism.
 The combination of these 3 vitamins show better
efficacy than that of the individual component. In
addition, Vitamin B1, B6 & B12 promote body's own
repair mechanism and work in pain management.
:::Good for:::
 Nervous system (involved in DNA and RNA
production), digestion, muscles, heart, alcohol-
damaged nerve tissues.
 To break down fats, proteins and carbohydrates -
------ATP ( the primary form of energy)
 To treat Alzheimer’s disease and certain cancers.
:::Sources:::
 Liver, yeast, egg yolk, red meat, nuts, fruits,
vegetables.
:::Deficiency:::
Anxiety, depression, muscle cramps, hair loss,
skin crack , loss of appetite, emotional
disturbances, irregular heartbeat, in extreme
cases Beriberi (mostly in alcoholics).
:::Overdose:::
No danger. It dissolves in water, so any excess
is passed in urine.
:::Good for:::
 Immune system, Preventing skin conditions, nerve
problems, heart diseases,
 helps the body absorb protein and carbohydrate.
 Lower chance of rheumatoid arthritis
 Required for the synthesis of mood influencing
hormones.
 Red blood cell formation
:::Sources:::
 Fish, bananas, chicken, pork, eggs, vegetables, peanuts,
milk and dried beans.
:::Deficiency:::
Anemia, depression, confusion, dermatitis – pink
eye, neurological symptoms –epilepsy.
:::Overdose:::
Nerve damage.
:::Good for:::
 Making red blood cells in bone marrow and the formation
of the nerves.
 Metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
 Heart diseases.
 Also helps our bodies to absorb folic acid and iron.
:::Sources:::
 Eggs, fish, poultry, meat, liver, milk, cheese .
 Vit-B1 – Helps body to convert food into
energy.
 Vit-B6 – Support immune system.
 Vit-B12 – Involves in the metabolism of
every cells of the body.
 Neuritis (inflammation of a
peripheral nerve or nerves,
usually causing pain and loss of
function)
 Neuralgia (acute pain along the
course of a nerve, especially in the
head or face)
 Cervical Syndrome (can appear
with or without neurological
disorders. is a common, age-
related condition that affects the
joints and discs in neck)
 Lumbago (pain in the
muscles and joints of the
lower back)
 Sciatica (pain affecting the
back, hip, and outer side of
the leg, caused by
compression of a spinal nerve
root in the lower back)
 Mayalgia (pain in a muscle or
group of muscles)
 Trigeminal Neuralgia
(involving one or more of the
branches of the trigeminal
nerves, and often causing
severe pain. TN is a nerve
responsible for sensation in
the face and motor functions
such as biting and chewing)
 Supportive treatment in
facial paralysis.
 1-2 tablets three times a day
or
 As directed by the Physician.
Side Effects
Very rarely hypersensitive reaction
and sensitivity disturbance may
occur.
Use in Pregnancy:
Rebion is safe for pregnant woman.
Use in Lactating Mother:
It is not known whether thiamine (Vitamin B1) is
excreted in breast milk or not, but may be
taken cautiously during lactation. There is no
known adverse effect on Vitamin B12 therapy
also.
Children:
Rebion may be given to children.
DRUG INTERACTION:
No drug interactions have yet been reported.
Neomycin, chloramphenicol, aminosalisylic
acid & histamine H2 receptor antagonist may
reduce Vitamin B12 absorption.
 Precaution
 This combination should be avoided in case of any
hypersensitivity to Thiamine, Cobalt or any other
component of these ingredients
