2. Analyze the learner
General: 9th Graders, 25 students (14 boys, 16 girls) 20 Caucasian, 4 African-American,
and 1 Latino.
Learning Competencies: Students will know basic information of the Vietnam War.
Learning Styles: Some of the students are auditory learners, while others are
kinesthetic learners.
3. Objective
Students will analyze the Vietnam War. They will do it with discussing, videos, and
presentations by the end of the week with 100% accuracy.
4. Day by Day
1. Class discussion on the Vietnam War. My presentation of the Vietnam War with
pictures.
2. Watch a documentary on the first years of the Vietnam war. Discuss the video.
3. Have the students split up in groups and talk about if they would go to war or
dealt with it in another way.
4. Discuss what the students thought would be great ways instead of going to war
and write a response about which they would do.
5. Go over the different responses the students give and discuss if they are good
ways or if they would still go to war.
5. Use of Technology
Computer and projector for presentations and videos, make sure they work before
class starts.
Make sure I have enough copies of the discussion questions.
