Cyber Vulnerabilities
INTRODUCTION
With cyber attacks on the continuous rise, organizations public and private must address computer
security vulnerabilities. SANS Institute has revealed unpatched client side software applications as
the top priority vulnerability for organizations globally. In conjunction with unpatched client
software, vulnerable Internet facing web sites can result in an organizations infrastructure to be
compromised. In this study I will address the issue of unpatched client software, the impact to an
organizations infrastructure, and patch management as a vital mitigation solution. (http:/

Email is a trending tool to exploit client side vulnerabilities. Email is a tool for spear phishing.
Spear phishing exploits client side vulnerabilities by using deceptive impersonations of
applications. The email may contain a link to a trusted website, where the victim discloses
personal information. Typically, the ultimate goal of the attacker is to steal data from the targeted
organization and also to install back doors access so attacker can return for further exploitation. Do
not open any junk mail, open email messages in plain text preferably HTML or RTF, lower
administrative rights while access web browsers and no opening attachment until properly scanned
(www.sans.org)
Office solutions software applications are used as an exploit tool for spear phishing attacks using
email. When a user opens the malicious document the exploits vulnerabilities in the office software
begin. An attacker hosts a malicious document on a web server or shared folder, and entices a user
to browse to the web page or the shared folder. Note that, in most situations, Internet Explorer
automatically opens Microsoft Office documents. Hence, browsing the malicious web page or
folder is sufficient for vulnerability exploitation in many cases (www.sans.org)
Navigating vulnerable unpatched client side workstations through the Internet super highway can

Runaway Juveniles Are Not A Serious Problem
National surveys suggested that 6% 7% of adolescents run away from home in the United States
(Sanchez, Waller, Greene, 2006; Tyler Bersani, 2008). Most runaways rarely stay away from
home for long periods and stay within 50 miles of home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002).
Although runaway juveniles are not a serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to
parents or guardian (Milburn et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate
circumstances while away. There were many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning
after a short period of time, such as increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk behavior,
being exploited or victimized by others, and resorting to illicit activities (Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck,
Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon, Montgomey, Unger, Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce,
Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers explained the reason of why adolescents run away from
home (Andres Lemay, Jamieson, MacMillan, 2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer,
Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand, 2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997; Welsh, 1995).
They claimed that the most common reason is negative family environment. Safyer et al. (2004)
found that 41% of the adolescentsattributed their runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic
with their parents. Poor parenting practices and physical abuse increase the likelihood that a child
will run away (Matchinda, 1999; P. Kurtz, G. Kurtz, Jarvis,

What Is The Moral Satire In The Mysterious Outsider
In the Mark Twain story The Mysterious Stranger , Philip Traum, also known as Satan, teaches
Theodor that the Moral Sense that humans possess is more of an impairment than a gift. The first
time Satan degrades Man s Moral Sense is when he uses the term to explain the difference between
himself and Man. Theodor, who was ambivalent about what the Moral Sense was, became upset at
the way Satanspeaks of it. Theodor feels offended at first, but then Satan s charisma and tricks
gives Theodore mixed feelings. To sway Theodor s feelings, Satan shows Theodor several examples
of the cruel things Man does that no other animal on Earth would do. Satan makes the claim that
although man was given the Moral Sense to differentiate between right and wrong,... Show more

For example, Satan compares humans to sheep, and says that they mostly follow others and
tend to follow the aggressive and pitiless minority, afraid to assert themselves. Man s Moral
Sense leads him to follow others since he has the preconceived notion that if everyone does it,
then it must be the right thing to do. He explains that Man alone is kind hearted and shrink from
inflicting pain, but in the presence of the aggressive and pitiless minority they don t dare to
assert themselves. He says that we go to war for no apparent reason and it is unjust and
dishonorable, as there is no necessity for it , but Moral Sense drives us to it. Satan exclaims that
Man is to me as a red spider is to an elephant . He says that an elephant may live a century, while a
red spider s life is rather ephemeral. Man may think that Moral sense makes him above the other
animals, and closest to God, but Satan explains Man is nothing to him and he cannot get to that
remote level of Man. Satan also makes the claim that the distinction between Man and him is
immeasurable as Man has no intellect. Moral Sense drives Man to do immoral things, making him

Registered Nurse Anesthetists
Service personnel experience a tremendous number of traumatic experiences while in service. These
traumatic experiences include situations such as different forms of explosion, gun battles, vehicle
crashes, helicopter crashes, intense fear, seeing fellow service members dying as well as a feeling
of helplessness (CITE). These are situations that an average American can simply not fathom.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) who work with service personnel typically do
understand these traumatic experiences. In this article, Wilson and Pokorny conducted a study to
understand the experiences CRNAs have with service personnel who have traumatic brain injury
(TBI) and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and are emerging from general anesthesiawith
emergence delirium (ED) (CITE). There are no studies in literature that contain information on
patients with these specific problems, which makes this study important. Wilson and Pokorny hope
other researchers will get involved to help learn more about this subject and get the service
personnel and CRNAs the advanced medical help they need.

Military Draft In Vietnam War
Max Smith
Essay
The Vietnam War was between 1954 and 1975. We did not have enough people in the military, so
there was conscription which is most commonly called a draft. A draft is the mandatory
enrollment of male individuals into the armed forces. The government maintains the ability to start
a draft in case of a national emergency. The Selective Service System is responsible for the draft.
The U.S. military drafted 2.2 million American men out of an eligible pool of 27 million.
There were over 58,000 military fatal casualties in the VietnamWar. Many soldiers did support the
war. Others felt the draft was a death sentence. They were being sent to a war and fight for a
cause that they did not believe in. Many people were scared to die for something they did not
believe in. People who did not want to go to war and evaded the government were ... Show more

It is not fair that all men are required to register at age eighteen. The draft is gender biased All
male citizens between ages 18 and 25 must register. An autonomous and gender neutral draft will
help increase insight and expectations of what women can do in the military and promote
equality. 27 million men in the military pool and 2.2 million were drafted in the Vietnam War.
Women were clerks or nurses. Eliminating any gender based assignment restrictions or draft will
improve our military s readiness and ability to recruit and retain the most effective and qualified
people. The military needs lawyers, dentists, doctors and IT professionals. They also need
intelligence analysts, police officers, and trained fighters women or not. Equality means the state
of being equal, especially in status, rights and opportunities. This means sharing burdens as well as
shared opportunities. Women are just as capable and just as willing to stand up and defend the
rights we ve earned in combat or support at

Rebates are often referred to as agency volume bonification which is defined as an agency s
receipt of a volume discount or compensation from media buys that is not necessarily passed on
to the client (Bruell, 2012). 1.1. Successfulness of Rebates Successful discount or rebate
programs can empower an organization. A successful rebate program must have a perceived
notion of value in order to attract consumers. Rebate programs typically work best with durable
goods and higher ticket items. If the value of the rebate is considered high, then the chances of
redemption will be undoubtedly greater (Dennin, 2012). In a competitive business environment,
incentives such as rebates can provide a business with a much needed sales advantage. Rebates
can increase customer satisfaction, build customer loyalty, and encourage customers to try new
products. There are many factors that can affect the success rate of a rebate program (Inmar,
2011). Inmar suggests that these factors indeed affect the success rate of a rebate program: The
value of a rebate; The time and effort required to redeem the rebate; The complexity of the rebate
requirements; The consumer s previous experience with rebates; The brand s presence It is
reported that almost 50% of retailers and 48% of manufacturers use rebates programs as part of
their customer loyalty and promotions mix (Group, 2011). To be successful, rebates often call for

Ulysses As A Hero In The Adventures Of Ulysses
A hero is always described as one who stands for the common good of people, whether it be an
archetype of a typical hero from fabled descend or those who are unexpectedly deemed a hero in
everyday lives. Bernard Evslin s adventure fiction, The Adventures of Ulysses, illustrates the life of
Ulysses ten years after fighting alongside the Greeks in the Trojan War. He encounters trials and
tribulations such as, unknown seas and numerous inconceivable monsters to hopefully return to
his rightful place as king of Ithaca. Some of his trials take place on the islands of Lotusland,
Aeaea, and a narrow strait to Thrinacia. On Lotusland, Ulysses is met with an inescapable urge
to sleep because Morpheus, the son of Hypnos and nephew of Hades, orders the natives to feed
Ulysses and his crew intoxicating flowers to make them fall into a deep slumber. Ulysses also
finds himself with a challenge on the island of Aeaea because of Circe, an enticing goddess
sorceress who turns any man into an animal. He also comes across the Sirens, bird like women
who lure sailors to shipwreck with their enchanting sounds of happiness, sadness, autumn, and
silence, on his way to Thrinacia. Ulysses is a hero because he possesses the essential
characteristics of a typical hero. He proves and displays his heroic traits of strength, intelligence,
and selflessness. Obviously, Ulysses vanquishes an ordeal that no ordinary man can triumph. When
battling forces beyond his control, Ulysses displays heroic

Obligations In The Things They Carried By Tim O Brien
Obligations The definition for obligation is Something by which a person is bound or obliged to
do certain things, and which arises out of a sense of duty or results from custom, law, etc.
Obligation comes in many different forms, like how soldiers are obligated to fight for their
country. This exact example can be seen morally and socially in the novel The Things They
Carried by Tim O Brien where he tells many stories from his time in or related to the Vietnam
War and tries to make the reader feel like he did in the moment of said stories. In The Things They
Carried by Tim O Brien the themes of social and moral obligationconstantly influence how
characters Tim O Brien, Jimmy Cross, and Norman Bowker react to whatever is thrown at them....

In the chapter On The Rainy River this plays a plays a huge role in Tim s ultimate decision to go
into the war after being drafted instead of fleeing the country. Tim felt the pressure from
everyone around him to fight for his country even if he didn t agree with the war itself, Tim
decided I would go to war I would kill and maybe die because I was embarrassed not to. (O Brien
57). When he puts it that way it seems ridiculous but he knew the people around him would never
see him the same way if he didn t.
This is also seen in the chapter Speaking Of Courage when Norman Bowker came home from the
war. He felt the pressure to be a hero and is hung up on not getting a Silver Star saying Well, maybe
not. But I had the chance and I blew it. (O Brien 136). He also just failed to find his place in the
world and couldn t adjust to post war life. This lead him to kill himself 3 years

Sardono Essay
The Physical Turn and Improvisation in the Seventies
Cultural imperialism, in a form of New York s World Expo in 1964, stands on the background of
this part of the story. A young Javanese dancer, Sardono W. Kusumo was a member of the
Indonesian dancer contingent for the expo. Extending his stay in the city that had become an
adopted home or, depending on your viewpoint, a thrift store of world culture, there he met another
young Indonesian, just a couple years his senior, an emerging poet cum theatre artist by the name
of Rendra. The following six months of his informal residency would be brief and memorable for
Sardono and its significance to Indonesian performance field would continue to resonate until a few
decades later.

For Sardono, not the more cynical of the two, Jean s workshop was basically a hatha yoga session.
While the workshop s main contents were not new in their respective performance vocabulary,
Sardono was illuminated by Erdman s ability to appropriate the approach with a contemporary
framework that he found useful for developing a performance work. In the workshop, Erdman also
introduced them to her principle approach of improvisation. It is important to note here that Rendra
s introduction to the notion of improvisation as a modern theatre vocabulary might occurred earlier,
especially during his time studying at the American Dramatic Arts. Nonetheless, Sardono underlines
how Erdman taught her improvisation method systematically, which encouraged him to think more
about abstraction, imagination, spatial contact and bodily deconstruction, as he would eventually
develop as his working method in the seventies

Satisfying Target Customer s Needs
Satisfying Target Customer s Needs Many customers of electric vehicles need an affordable
form of transportation. GM has been able to satisfy this need with its affordable 2016 Spark EV
starting at $25,120 with a potential $7,500 tax credit (General Motors Company, n.d). This all
electric vehicle allows consumers to purchase an affordable car that uses clean energy. GM also
offers the affordable hybrid Volt starting at $33,170, and plans to release the fully electric Bolt
EV late 2017 starting at $37,495 (Korosec, 2016). These electric cars provide customers with
inexpensive alternatives to the vehicles currently offered by Tesla. Tesla s Model S is its only
sedan and has a starting price of $66,000 (Tesla, n.d.). The Model X is Tesla s sport utility
vehicle with a starting price of $74,000 (Manjoo, 2016). While Tesla s current models are
significantly more expensive than GM s electric vehicles, Tesla is releasing its all electric Model
3 in 2017 at a starting price of $35,000, which is more in line with the prices of GM s electric
vehicles (Manjoo, 2016). Another need that consumers are looking to satisfy is luxurious
transportation. Tesla meets this need with every car they make. The Model S is packed with

Attitudes and Job Satisfaction Walt Henderson
In the case study titled Walt Henderson, Walt Henderson works for a drafting company along
side thirty other technicians that are supervised by two inspectors. Walt is demonstrating issues
of a negative or unfavorable attitude at work. According to this class s textbook Attitudes are
evaluative statements either favorable or unfavorable about objects, people, or events (Robbins,
and Judge 66). The study at hand, shows that Walt is a hard working individual that at times
takes his work home to ensure projects are completed on time. In doing so, he finishes work
quickly at the job and proceeds to work on personal matters in the office. Walt believes that
because he completes his work early by using his personal off time that he has the right to work on
personal matters in the work place. Doing personal work at the work place violates some of the
rules of the work place and has been instructed to him by his supervision on the matter in the past.
This paper will answer a few questions that are: What is Walt Henderson s attitude toward work?
What are the main components of Walt Henderson s attitude toward work? If Walt Henderson
becomes dissatisfied in his work, what is he likely to do about it: exit the organization, voice his
dissatisfaction, remain loyal, or neglect his work? And lastly, what can Walt Henderson s supervisor
do to ensure Walt s job satisfaction without endangering

1905 was Einstein s miracle year. In March of that year, he sent to the Annalen der Physik, the
leading German physics journal, a paper with a new understanding of the structure of light. He
argued that light acts as though is consists of independent particles of energy. Einstein built on
Max Planck s work and went beyond this. He showed that light quanta could help to explain
phenomena being studied by experimental physicists; he made clear how light ejects electrons
from metals. In May of 1905, Einstein submitted another paper that reinforced the kinetic energy
theory. His Special Theory of Relativity was born; Einstein submitted yet another paper in June of
1905 on electromagnetism and motion. Since Galileo and Newton, physicists had known that
laboratory experiments never revealed a difference between an object at rest and an object moving
at a constant speed along a straight line. Objects behave the same way on a uniformly moving ship
as they do on an anchored ship; this is the Principle of Relativity. However, according to the
electromagnetic theory, light should not obey this principle. This theory predicted that
measurements on velociy of light would show the effects of motion. Yet, no such effect had been
detected in any experiments the velocity of light did not vary. Einstein found a way to show that

China s Sudden Rise to Power Essay
In the current anarchic world, The United States acts as the global hegemon. However, China s
recent rise to power has lead international relations experts, Ikenberry, Mearsheimer, Subramanian,
and Friedberg, to predict an upcoming power shift in the international system. China s increasing
control over the Asia Pacific region has threatened U.S. power. According to Waltz, the realism
paradigm interprets the anarchic structure of the international community, as a constant power
struggle. Although each country may be different, to survive, they must all strive for power. Under
the liberalism paradigm, the system is still anarchical but cooperation may be achieved by shared
norms, and aligned political and economical interests.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Snyder claims that realism failed to predict the Cold War. Given this, Mearsheimer states China
cannot rise peacefully. Since realists describe the world as a self help system, according to Posen,
every country must look to its own interests relative to those of others and because security is the
preeminent issue in an anarchic world, the distribution of capabilities to attack and defend should
matter. Thus, because China s strive for regional hegemony inevitably threatens the power
dynamic of the global system, the U.S. will, according to Mearsheimer, take an offensive realist
approach that will eventually lead to war. In addition, as seen in post Cold War, economic stability
greatly determines the distribution of power. Friedberg notes, that the projected speed and
magnitude of China s growth in recent decades appears to be unprecedented and as early as 2015,
China s economy could overtake that of the United States. Although the U.S. faces an
unprecedented challenge to economic power, according to Ikenberry, China has signaled
cooperation by redoubling its participation in existing institutions, such as the ASEAN Regional
Forum and the East Asia Summit or working with the other great powers in the region to build new
ones. Nevertheless, following the actions of the U.S. post WWII, China strategically makes itself
more predictable and approachable to reduce the incentives for other

75 plus Iranian College students stormed the U.S Embassy in Tehran, taking diplomats, embassy
staff, Marine guards and three CIA agents hostage. Some women and minority groups were
released early but the remaining 52 people are still being kept hostage. Conditions are poor and
their aren t enough resources for a long camp out. One report has said that the overtake was

President Carter accepted the permission for the Shah to come the the United States to obtain
treatment for cancer. The College students charged the palace quite quickly, with the takeover
happening within a matter of hours. The CIA has tried to intervene the situation, but failed.
Another report says that the capture of America s Embassy and its diplomatic staff was a hugely
symbolic victory over The Great Satan. The Great Satan as being America, because America is
known to be hated by most Iranians. The hostages are still being kept captive with little food and

this is a way to raise the intra and international profile of the revolution leader, the anti american

attempt to end the Iran hostage crisis by rescuing 52 embassy staff held captive at the Embassy of

Isaac arrived at the glade, dropping down to the floor to catch their breath. Once Gerard stepped
into the glades, he turned around quickly. Looking at the bear a golden aura emerged around
Gerard s body. The aura started to form next to Gerard, creating a human like avatar that stood
next to him. Fully forming, the human like avatar looked just like a monk, with typical clothing. It

Why Are Genetically Modified Organisms Affect The Environment
In 1920, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) were created by exposing normal organisms
to radiation which caused mutations in their genes. But in the late 90 s scientists discovered a
more effective and safer way to pass genes from a different organism to another organism, like
the genes of bacteria and viruses to plants (Green, Why are GMOs Bad? ). But what happened
nine years later from 1996, the year when GMOs were introduced into the foods that we still
consume until this day, showed that the 13% of Americans presented three or more chronic
diseases, when before it was only the 7%. In the past sixteen years GMOs have raised and are still
raising controversies together with biotechnology and genetic engineering. The reason is that some

Farmers of GM (genetically modified) crops use big amounts of herbicide that are more and
more toxic every year, and the reason for that is because, GM crops are designed to be herbicide
tolerant. US farmers used extra amounts of 383 million pounds of herbicides between the years
1996 and 2008, this overuse resulted in super weeds (Smith, par 7). Another reason of why GM
crops affect the environment is because a lot of GM plants already contain insecticides, these are
called Bt plants, they are named like this because they incorporate a transgene that makes a
protein based toxin, also called Cry toxins (Latham, par 9), but the creators of these plants have
stated that it only affects insects that affect the crops, but they haven t said that they are also
affecting the insects that help with the balance of the ecosystem such as butterflies and bees, and
they also affect other species such as birds. Something that the creators of these crops have not
stated is that these seeds, GM seeds, travel and contaminate other farms, and a lot of non GMO
and organic farmers have been affected, causing them a lot of economic loses. GM crop seeds have

The Debate Over Global Warming Essay
As the threat posed by global warming continues to mount, there has been much debate over how to
stem the rise in global temperatures. Nearly all experts agree that the primary driver of global
warming has been human activity. Over the last century and a half, human activity has released
immense amounts of carbon dioxideand other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, altering the
Earth s climate. Yet, although there is a pressing need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, it
is impossible to advocate a return to pre electric, preindustrial times. Modern life depends of the
flow of power, and although we must wean ourselves off of fossil fuels, we must have an
alternative source of energy. Although green, renewable energy sources like wind and solar have
been hailed as the technologies of the future, they are not yet mature enough to shoulder the burden
of being our sole source of energy. Until renewable energy technology advances sufficiently, natural
gascan serve as an effective bridge fuel, lessening the toll we are taking on the environment while
ensuring that we can meet our energy needs. As fuel sources, solar and wind powerseem to be ideal.
They are abundant, renewable, and green. Although these are certainly valid points, they do not tell
the entire story. While wind and solar energy are indeed abundant, as they are readily accessible
nearly everywhere, they are also intermittent. The wind does not always blow and the sun does not
always shine. Without some

Emergence of Tools and Methods to Collect Quality Data While it is easy to decide that quality
needs attention in emergency medicine the first question when reviewing something is of course,
how? Tools and methods must be developed when investigating anything in order to collect

organizational structure and/or systems associated with the ability to provide high quality health

festival held on April 22 and 23. But I only went to the one on the 22nd which was on a Friday

Olpin Student Union Building, just outside. They had food, games, and other things by the stage.
We sat in front of the stage on one of the grass hills. They had a few performances when we went
to it. One of the performances featured GoldFord. They blended classical musicand modern styles
into terrific songs of pop and soul. They sang a lot using their voices, it was a good performance.
GoldFord also used guitars and drums in the songs. One of the songs was about the style that
people have, and that nobody has a style like that are the same. There was also a rock band
named Wavves. Their songs included instruments like the guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Three of
the band members sang during the songs. It was type of indie rock, punk rock, and surf rock. The
song Way Too Much is about the artist fighting against corporate and under circumstances we can

Annexation Of The Philippines Created The American Empire...
Annexation of the Philippines Created the American Empire The history of the world is one filled
with war, brutality, and greed from nations exerting their might to gain power or land. Driven by
greed, history is written by the wants and desires of nations to become larger, wealthier, at the
expense of those smaller forms a never ending cycle from the time of the earliest writings, to
modern days. The United Statesis no different. From the time we occupied the east coast, driving
the Native Americans west, to our westward expansion, further driving the Native Americans and
Mexico out of their lands, we have never been satisfied. Once we reached the west coast, our eyes
began scanning across the oceans. With the country secure, the United States needed foreign lands
to establish the empire. The Philippines would provide this opportunity for us. The Spanish
American war delivered the opportunity for America s entry into the Philippines. The annexation of
the Philippines transformed the United States into an empire and better prepared the Filipino
people for independence.
Snapshot of the Philippines To justify the case for the annexation of the Philippines, we must first
look at a snapshot of the Philippine archipelago to understand the advantages the islands provided
the United States. The Philippines was a vast chain consisting of over 7,000 islands, with 74
provinces, 43 different ethnic groups, and 87 different spoken languages. The population around

Human Rights Against Human Rights
Human rights are the internal and external privileges which all humans are considered given
including freedom to live, liberty, equality, and a fair trial, freedom from slavery and torture, and
freedom of thought and expression. But, even the privileges that our countries and life itself give
us can be violated or even taken away. A more specific example is the death penalty or capital
punishment, which is the most severe government ruling of executing a convicted criminal. This
practice is extremely common in America and other countries around the world. Many argue that
the execution of a human life is not a human rightsviolation using hammurabi s code of an eye for
an eye, a life for a life and that capital murders deserve to be capitally murdered. But considering
constitutional issues, precedents and other global issues, the death penalty is a human rights
violation. Justice is not served, when one kills in the name of justice. America s stance on capital
punishment is at a 62% 38% for the death penalty, but due to recent allegations and decisions the
support for the death penalty is rapidly decreasing across the United States. There are 31 states with
the death penalty: Alabama Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho,
Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New
Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon,Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota,

Freud Vs Adler
Educators wear many hats, many of which are at the same time, working in an economically
disadvantaged and underperforming schools. Those students often present many emotional and
physical scars, demonstrating undesired behavior and social skills. As educators, we use theorists
such as Sigmund Freud and Alfred Adler to understand each student in part and as an individual, in
order to effectively educate and develop well rounded individuals. Although, both theorists have
different standpoints on the ways in which the personality is created, they are very similar in ideas,
understanding that environmental forces and biological environmental conditions have an impact
on lives as well.
Alder, feeling inferior to his siblings, credited his theories from the life experiences of having to
compensate for his illness and birth order. Alfred Alder, once a protГ©gГ© of Sigmund Freud,
turned away from Freud in light of opposition of his sexual tension and aggressive theory. Alder
focused on the holistic individual, equality, parent education and life style. Alder believed that the

evaluating the success of the institution. The course reading states: ?As a new principal, you must
assess the capacity of delivery mechanisms, facilities, and equipment before you make
recommendations for enhancements? (WGU Student Portal, January 5, 2017). Attention to detail,
being flexible and problem solving are at the core of school leadership. This paper will discuss two
types of delivery mechanisms as it relates to learning and provide specific examples of how
programs are used. Next, examine school facilities, technology and equipment, including use and

Advertising for 4G Technology with Sprint
Introduction
One of the most heavily advertised areas of technology in the United States currently is 4G
technology. Every commercial and advertisement promises fast speeds, great coverage, and
exceptional service altogether. However, the competition proves to be extreme and unbalanced.
Since its introduction on Sprint s network, 4G, or fourth generation cellular technology, has
revolutionized both the telecommunication arena while spilling into other technological fields.
There is no end in sight for the relentless competition of expanding 4G technologies as coverage
and network speeds continue to increase. Currently, 4G technology is offered by all major
telecommunication carriers in the United States: Verizon, AT T, T Mobile, and Sprint. However,
the term 4G has been loosely used. The best example of this can be associated with Sprint. The
initial 4G technology Sprint offered was based of WiMAX technology. WiMAX proved to be fast
technology, but lackluster in its performance and capabilities in regards to LTE. LTE has
become the primary 4G technology in the United States while development of WiMAX has
ceased. In addition, Sprint s 4G vision has switched to LTE. The question is raised Why did LTE
win over WiMAX? . From many perspectives, LTE proved to be the superior technology.
The Power of Networking One can easily argue that one of the greatest things that developed in the
latter half of the twentieth century was the internet. By combining networks of networks

John C Calhoun s Last Speech Summary
John C. Calhoun was not only a United States statesman, but also a nationalist and outspoken
supporter of the slave and plantation system in the pre Civil War South. In his early days as a
War Hawk and congressman, Calhoun helped to guide the United States into war with Great
Britain. He also had a hand in establishing the Second Bank of the U.S. He was in staunch
opposition to President Polk s Mexican American War and admitting California as a free state. He
was a very vocal and well known leader in the fight to have slavery as a secure institution in the
South, if not the whole United States. In the late 1820 s, Calhoun drafted an Exposition and Protest

Calhoun then warned that Southerners would feel bound by every consideration of interest and
safety to defend it (Calhoun, 1850). Calhoun clearly believes that the initial balance of power in the
country was destroyed, and the majority of power now resides in the North. At the time he wrote
this speech, the North had 20 states and 40 senators, compared to the 14 Southern states with 28
senators (Calhoun, 1850). Calhoun lays the blame of the destruction of equilibrium between the
states at the feet of the legislative government in the forms of the South being excluded from the
common territory belonging to all the states (Calhoun, 1850), and disproportional taxation on the
South and Southern imports with a large portion of proceeds going to the North. This was a
commonly held belief in the South, and many were angered by much of their revenue and wealth
going to the North in the guise of taxes and tariffs. They blamed this redistribution of money as
unfairly benefiting and adding to the wealth of the North. They saw this imbalance also as an
encouragement to immigrants to stay in the North, which also increased the wealth and population
there. Calhoun himself spoke of this, and again stated that the loss of equilibrium is to be attributed
to the action of the government (Calhoun, 1850). While

In the early 1900s, marriage was comparable to a master and slave relationship. The role of the

effects inhibitors have on enzymes. The graph plots one over initial velocity as the Y axis, and
one over substrate concentration as the X axis (University of Arizona, 2006). As such, the slope

The Mind at War Men and women, alike, have been fighting for their rights and freedoms over
many centuries. Due to the gruesome acts carried out and witnessed, these wars can inflict
psychological damage to such combatants. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition
where one has been traumatized by something in their past. This ordeal disrupts sleep and causes
the continuous vivid recollection of the upsetting event on a daily basis for the victims (Jones 17).
Countless times, these soldiers return to their families and friends totally changed. In the First
World War, PTSD was unrecognized and was poorly diagnosed as shell shock, which is a term
discussed multiple times in the play Vimy by Vern Thiessen. The men in her play faced

Shell shock and PTSD are very similar when symptoms are concerned. Shell shock is considered to
be an intellectual forerunner to PTSD according to Doctor Stephen Joseph from the University of
Nottingham (Joseph). PTSD is defined by a modern criterion created by the American Psychiatric
Association. The first set of criteria includes either exposure to death, threatened death, serious
injury, or sexual violence in some way (Jones 19). The second criterion involves re living the
experience either through nightmares, flashbacks, upsetting memories, or other occurrences. There
must be a stimulus causing the re experiencing of the trauma (American Psychiatric Association).
The person must have, according to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, negative thoughts or
feelings and trauma related provocation and reactivity that began or are worsened after the trauma
(American Psychiatric Association). These symptoms must last for over one month, cause distress
or impairment to the person, and must not be the result of substance use or medication (American
Psychiatric Association). If all these are met, then the USA declares the person to have PTSD and
are counseled. This was not the case in the First World War. Thiessen depicts this in her play,
Vimy, most noticeably when Clare speaks to Laurie. Clare brings up the topic and immediately
Laurie becomes upset. He demonstrates multiple PTSD symptoms such as upsetting memories, re
experiencing trauma, negative thoughts about his life, long lasting symptoms, and he is clearly
distressed. Clare, the nurse, is frightened by what Laurie has experienced, but does nothing to help
because she does not know how. He clearly states: You re not just getting me. You re getting all
the... mess what s inside me now. And it ain t never going to leave (Thiessen 16). PTSD is
something that will haunt Laurie for the rest of his

Mambo Dance History
The mambo genre and dance style have a linked history. Since its origins in Cuba, Mambo has
evolved into many dance forms, each one sporting different footwork and moves. All of these new,
fast pace movements originated from the basic Mambo dance, which was popularized by
DГЎmaso PГ©rez Prado. The lively mambo song, Mambo No. 5 was composed and performed
in 1952 by the Cuban Mexican band leader Perez Prado. He was famously known as the King of
the Mambo . Prado recorded numerous mambos and when he ran out of inspiration, he would
simply number them. Mambo No. 5 was the most famous out of a series of 8 mambos.
(Songfacts, 1) The piece was recorded in Mexico City in the late 1940s, which was a major media

Perez Prado was the lead singer of his orchestra. He was born in Matanzas, Cuba, where he
studied classical piano during his early childhood. Later as he grew up, he played the organ and
piano in local clubs. (Brown,1) For a short period of time, he was a pianist for La Sonora
Matancera , Cuba s best known musical group.(Wilson,1) In 1948, he moved to Mexico to form his
own band to record for RCA Victor, a recording studio.(Siegel,1) Prado specialized in mambos, an
upbeat adaptation of the Cuban culture. At the height of the mambo movement in 1955, Prado hit
the American charts at number one with his self composed Mambo No.5. The sound of this
composition is lively and upbeat. The song is mostly instrumental comprised of a few monophonic
vocals towards the end of the song. It has a polyphonic texture, where the wind instruments play
several independent melodies and the percussion is in the background as the harmony. The most
recognizable instruments in the piece are the trumpet, saxophone, timbales and the drums. The
dynamics throughout the composition is forte and even fortissimo at certain points. There is a few

Extraversion, Agreeableness, And Neuroticism
According to the five personality traits listed in the textbook, Openness, Conscientiousness,
Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism. Jeff Tanner and Mary Anne Raymond describe
self concept as how you see yourself either in a positive or negative way. Your ideal self is how
you would like to see yourself. The products and services that would be successfully marketed to
individuals are as follow: Openness describes the degree to which a person is curious, original,
intellectual, creative, and open to new ideas in the market. According to Barrick, M. R., Mount,
M. K. (1991), People in the Openness degree are in the level of learning new skills, and they are
also fabulous in doing well at training. They are attached with validity of personality, cognitive
ability, and dimensions measured by an assessment center and a behavior description interview. A
researcher, Wanberg, C. R., Kammeyer Mueller, J. D. (2000), says it involve the open mindedness
that leads them to search for huge information and feedback about how they are doing and to
develop chemistry, which leads to quicker adjustment to the new job. At the other end of the
spectrum, people in low openness may also likely suffer and become more easily bored or
impatient with routine. Conscientiousness describes a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Neurotic people have a tendency to have emotional adjustment problems and habitually
experience stress and depression. It is said that people in Neuroticism experience vast problems
at their place of work. For example, they have trouble forming and maintaining relationships and
are less likely to be someone people go to for advice and friendship. Klein, K. J., Beng Chong, L.,
Saltz, J. L., Mayer, D. M. (2004). At the other end of the spectrum, people who are low on
Neuroticism those who have a positive affective disposition tend to experience positive moods more

  • 3. Runaway Juveniles Are Not A Serious Problem National surveys suggested that 6% 7% of adolescents run away from home in the United States (Sanchez, Waller, Greene, 2006; Tyler Bersani, 2008). Most runaways rarely stay away from home for long periods and stay within 50 miles of home (Hammer, Finkelhor, Sedlak, 2002). Although runaway juveniles are not a serious problem (Kim, 2006) and eventually return to parents or guardian (Milburn et al., 2007), they are victimized and exposed in deteriorate circumstances while away. There were many problems for runaway juveniles, in spite of returning after a short period of time, such as increasing their likelihood of engaging in high risk behavior, being exploited or victimized by others, and resorting to illicit activities (Chen, Thrane, Whitbeck, Johnson, Hoyt, 2007; Kipke, Simon, Montgomey, Unger, Iversen, 1997; Wagner, Carlin, Cauce, Tenner, 2001). However, few researchers explained the reason of why adolescents run away from home (Andres Lemay, Jamieson, MacMillan, 2005; National Runaway Switchboard, 2008; Safyer, Thompson, Maccio, Zittel Palamara, Forehand, 2004; Van der Ploeg Scholte, 1997; Welsh, 1995). They claimed that the most common reason is negative family environment. Safyer et al. (2004) found that 41% of the adolescentsattributed their runaway behavior to a poor relationship dynamic with their parents. Poor parenting practices and physical abuse increase the likelihood that a child will run away (Matchinda, 1999; P. Kurtz, G. Kurtz, Jarvis, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What Is The Moral Satire In The Mysterious Outsider In the Mark Twain story The Mysterious Stranger , Philip Traum, also known as Satan, teaches Theodor that the Moral Sense that humans possess is more of an impairment than a gift. The first time Satan degrades Man s Moral Sense is when he uses the term to explain the difference between himself and Man. Theodor, who was ambivalent about what the Moral Sense was, became upset at the way Satanspeaks of it. Theodor feels offended at first, but then Satan s charisma and tricks gives Theodore mixed feelings. He explains that Man alone is kind hearted and shrink from inflicting pain, but in the presence of the aggressive and pitiless minority they don t dare to assert themselves. He says that we go to war for no apparent reason and it is unjust and dishonorable, as there is no necessity for it , but Moral Sense drives us to it. Satan exclaims that Man is to me as a red spider is to an elephant . He says that an elephant may live a century, while a red spider s life is rather ephemeral. Man may think that Moral sense makes him above the other animals, and closest to God, but Satan explains Man is nothing to him and he cannot get to that remote level of Man. In the workshop, Erdman also introduced them to her principle approach of improvisation. It is important to note here that Rendra s introduction to the notion of improvisation as a modern theatre vocabulary might occurred earlier, especially during his time studying at the American Dramatic Arts. However, China s recent rise to power has lead international relations experts, Ikenberry, Mearsheimer, Subramanian, and Friedberg, to predict an upcoming power shift in the international system. China s increasing control over the Asia Pacific region has threatened U.S. power. According to Waltz, the realism paradigm interprets the anarchic structure of the international community, as a constant power struggle. Although each country may be different, to survive, they must all strive for power. Under the liberalism paradigm, the system is still anarchical but cooperation may be achieved by shared norms, and aligned political and economical interests.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Snyder claims that realism failed to predict the Cold War. Given this, Mearsheimer states China cannot rise peacefully. Since realists describe the world as a self help system, according to Posen, every country must look to its own interests relative to those of others and because security is the preeminent issue in an anarchic world, the distribution of capabilities to attack and defend should matter. Thus, because China s strive for regional hegemony inevitably threatens the power dynamic of the global system, the U.S. will, according to Mearsheimer, take an offensive realist approach that will eventually lead to war. In addition, as seen in post Cold War, economic stability greatly determines the distribution of power. Friedberg notes, that the projected speed and magnitude of China s growth in recent decades appears to be unprecedented and as early as 2015, China s economy could overtake that of the United States. Although the U.S. faces an unprecedented challenge to economic power, according to Ikenberry, China has signaled cooperation by redoubling its participation in existing institutions, such as the ASEAN Regional Forum and the East Asia Summit or working with the other great powers in the region to build new ones. Why Are Genetically Modified Organisms Affect The Environment In 1920, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) were created by exposing normal organisms to radiation which caused mutations in their genes. But in the late 90 s scientists discovered a more effective and safer way to pass genes from a different organism to another organism, like the genes of bacteria and viruses to plants (Green, Why are GMOs Bad? ). But what happened nine years later from 1996, the year when GMOs were introduced into the foods that we still consume until this day, showed that the 13% of Americans presented three or more chronic diseases, when before it was only the 7%. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Farmers of GM (genetically modified) crops use big amounts of herbicide that are more and more toxic every year, and the reason for that is because, GM crops are designed to be herbicide tolerant. US farmers used extra amounts of 383 million pounds of herbicides between the years 1996 and 2008, this overuse resulted in super weeds (Smith, par 7). Another reason of why GM crops affect the environment is because a lot of GM plants already contain insecticides, these are called Bt plants, they are named like this because they incorporate a transgene that makes a protein based toxin, also called Cry toxins (Latham, par 9), but the creators of these plants have stated that it only affects insects that affect the crops, but they haven t said that they are also affecting the insects that help with the balance of the ecosystem such as butterflies and bees, and they also affect other species such as birds. Something that the creators of these crops have not stated is that these seeds, GM seeds, travel and contaminate other farms, and a lot of non GMO and organic farmers have been affected, causing them a lot of economic loses. • 24. The Debate Over Global Warming Essay As the threat posed by global warming continues to mount, there has been much debate over how to stem the rise in global temperatures. Nearly all experts agree that the primary driver of global warming has been human activity. Over the last century and a half, human activity has released immense amounts of carbon dioxideand other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, altering the Earth s climate. Yet, although there is a pressing need to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, it is impossible to advocate a return to pre electric, preindustrial times. Modern life depends of the flow of power, and although we must wean ourselves off of fossil fuels, we must have an alternative source of energy. Although green, renewable energy sources like wind and solar have been hailed as the technologies of the future, they are not yet mature enough to shoulder the burden of being our sole source of energy. Until renewable energy technology advances sufficiently, natural gascan serve as an effective bridge fuel, lessening the toll we are taking on the environment while ensuring that we can meet our energy needs. As fuel sources, solar and wind powerseem to be ideal. They are abundant, renewable, and green. Although these are certainly valid points, they do not tell the entire story. While wind and solar energy are indeed abundant, as they are readily accessible nearly everywhere, they are also intermittent. The wind does not always blow and the sun does not always shine. Annexation of the Philippines Created the American Empire The history of the world is one filled with war, brutality, and greed from nations exerting their might to gain power or land. Driven by greed, history is written by the wants and desires of nations to become larger, wealthier, at the expense of those smaller forms a never ending cycle from the time of the earliest writings, to modern days. The United Statesis no different. From the time we occupied the east coast, driving the Native Americans west, to our westward expansion, further driving the Native Americans and Mexico out of their lands, we have never been satisfied. Once we reached the west coast, our eyes began scanning across the oceans. With the country secure, the United States needed foreign lands to establish the empire. The Philippines would provide this opportunity for us. The Spanish American war delivered the opportunity for America s entry into the Philippines. The annexation of the Philippines transformed the United States into an empire and better prepared the Filipino people for independence. A more specific example is the death penalty or capital punishment, which is the most severe government ruling of executing a convicted criminal. Since its introduction on Sprint s network, 4G, or fourth generation cellular technology, has revolutionized both the telecommunication arena while spilling into other technological fields. There is no end in sight for the relentless competition of expanding 4G technologies as coverage and network speeds continue to increase. Currently, 4G technology is offered by all major telecommunication carriers in the United States: Verizon, AT T, T Mobile, and Sprint. However, the term 4G has been loosely used. The best example of this can be associated with Sprint. The initial 4G technology Sprint offered was based of WiMAX technology. WiMAX proved to be fast technology, but lackluster in its performance and capabilities in regards to LTE. LTE has become the primary 4G technology in the United States while development of WiMAX has ceased. In addition, Sprint s 4G vision has switched to LTE. This was a commonly held belief in the South, and many were angered by much of their revenue and wealth going to the North in the guise of taxes and tariffs. They blamed this redistribution of money as unfairly benefiting and adding to the wealth of the North. Shell shock is considered to be an intellectual forerunner to PTSD according to Doctor Stephen Joseph from the University of Nottingham (Joseph). PTSD is defined by a modern criterion created by the American Psychiatric Association. The first set of criteria includes either exposure to death, threatened death, serious injury, or sexual violence in some way (Jones 19). The second criterion involves re living the experience either through nightmares, flashbacks, upsetting memories, or other occurrences. There must be a stimulus causing the re experiencing of the trauma (American Psychiatric Association). The person must have, according to the US Department of Veterans Affairs, negative thoughts or feelings and trauma related provocation and reactivity that began or are worsened after the trauma (American Psychiatric Association). These symptoms must last for over one month, cause distress or impairment to the person, and must not be the result of substance use or medication (American Psychiatric Association). If all these are met, then the USA declares the person to have PTSD and are counseled. This was not the case in the First World War.
