Why should students blog? A way to improve their own writing  A ‘just-in-time’ learning arena  A place to share  A place for feedback  A motivator  An easy and quick way to publish on the web
Why should students blog? A way to connect with others and make connections to learning  A way to give students ownership of a personal space - that encourages active engagement by the students and teacher  A place to collaborate  A personal way to include parents in the learning journey
 
 
Impacts and outcomes Impacts: the  work of the team  (focused on student and teacher learning); and the  conversations around our approach  have become a part of a wider dialogue in the Diocese and beyond supporting other web 2.0 learning initiatives , both current (Focus on Learning) and planned (Second Life)
Impacts and outcomes Outcomes: students and teachers learning 21st century skills increased student engagement in learning teachers introducing web 2.0 tech. to colleagues conversations occurring across schools new ongoing initiatives being created and supported (eg projects in Second Life) because of networks and learning in team
