Definition A value is a belief, a mission, or a philosophy that is meaningful. Whether we are consciously aware of them or not, every individual has a core set of personal values. Values can range from the commonplace, such as the belief in hard work and punctuality, to the more psychological, such as self-reliance, concern for others, and harmony of purpose.  Example : You have been given a check for $1000.00 to do whatever you like with it. What would you do with it? Share with the class what you would do with it. Conclusion: What you spend the money on has everything to do with what you value
VALUES AND NORMS Norms are accepted/ expected behaviors , Something that is usual, typical, or standard . like when someone waves, you wave back, if someone who wasn`t from our culture came in and saw us waving they would think we were weird. or shaking hands for that matter. Norms gives us something to form our cullture it shows us the right behaviors.
