If you don t have city sewage you probably have a septic system. A septic system is a system that
treats removes and disposes of water. Usually this water is from homes and businesses. Septic systems
are responsible for the removal of water waste. If it is working properly it will safely remove filtered
water out of harms way and back into the aquifer. If a septic system is not working properly it can be
dangerous it may cause the near by water table to overflow causing flooding and water contamination.
If this occurs people often must resort to an alternative septic system.
An alternative septic system is simply a different system than the traditional system. In a traditional
septic system the water from the house leads into the septic tank where bacteria is broken down and
eventually it forms three different layers. The bottom layer is made up of solids, this layer is called
sludge, a middle layer is liquid with some organic matter, and a top with floating solids. Devices
called baffles allow the middle layer of the tank to flow out into a perforated pipe and it takes it to a
far away field. This safely removes harmful water from nearby houses. The remainder of the waste

Envision a world without despair, and everything is designed a specific way. Total freedom and
perfection. Utopia is an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect. Values are the
determining factor to what inhabits a perfect society. Does this pertain to individual freedom, or is
freedom living by societal norms? Aldous Huxley exposes these factors through his futuristic literary

With the way the author, Bryson describes George Ruth s upbringing and the tough hand that Babe
was dealt with at such an early age, it seems as if he painted a fairy tale with happily ever after at the
end. To read and to try and grasp what Babe Ruth was able to achieve, it is the most unbelievable
underdog story that I have ever read. While I was reading, I had the feeling that Bill Bryson believed
that George Ruth was a good person and even coming from such a rough city such as Baltimore. He
even disagreed with what babe said in his autobiography. In the book, Bryson says The opening
sentence of Ruth s autobiography is, I was a bad kid. Which is no more than partly true (Bryson 107).

Book Report Sense and Sensibility 1.) In Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility, the title is a metaphor for
the two main characters Elinor and Marianne. Elinor represents sense and Marianne represents
sensibility.We find out early that Elinor does not share her feelings. When Edward comes into the
story, there was an immediate attraction. She tells no one of her feelings. It was just assumed that they
are meant for each other. When Edward has to leave, Elinor says nothing.
Edward does promise he will come down and give Margaret an atlas. When the atlas comes and not

operate. However, we found that in recent years, multinational corporations have been taking
advantage of the arm s length principle to transfer intellectual property that is difficult to value in
order to avoid taxes in high tax jurisdictions. This poses an ethical dilemma for executives of
corporations on whether or not they are paying their fair share of taxes and raises the question on how
the U.S. government can reform the current system in place to encourage companies to behave
ethically.
We examine the effects of transfer pricing on shareholders of multinational corporations and the
United States government through a case study on Apple. Apple was able to successfully dodge
billions of taxes in the U.S. through the use of aggressive transfer pricing with their Irish subsidiaries.
We found that Apple was never fined by the IRS because they were exploiting a loophole in the arm s
length principle. While shareholders stand to profit from aggressive transfer pricing practices, they
must be aware of the risk that aggressive transfer pricing imposes and be aware of companies
motivations and morals for engaging in transfer pricing.
The negative financial effects on the government were evident and we propose a three part solution to
restructure the rules for transfer pricing to promote multinationals to act morally. First, we propose
