Job Title: IT Specialist – Job Number #4703 Series/Grade: CS-2210-12
The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), a dynamic public agency, managing

Institute (PTI) offers thousands of classroom hours each year educating and training OCP

advisory skills when engaging with Districts agencies and the vendor community. OCP’s
resourceful team also identifies ways to reuse millions of dollars in surplus property by
offering it to District agencies, and when there is no need within the government, our
team allows businesses, non-profits and sometimes individuals to purchase government

Job Description: This position is located in the Information Technology (IT) division within
OCP and serves as the first point of contact for both agency and vendor end-users for
diagnosing, troubleshooting and correcting issues and problems with databases, business
machines, hand held devices, and all other computer, technological and hardware
functions. The IT Specialist also serves as technical support analyst to the Procurement
Automated Support System (PASS) Help Desk, while responding to service requests and
inquiries from PASS users.
Qualifications (Education and/or Experience): Must be a graduate of an accredited
college or university with a bachelor's degree with a major study in computer science,
information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics,
operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or
adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to
a major in the computer field. The incumbent must have at least four (4) years of
specialized IT-related experience, at least one (1) of which must be specialized
experience which includes knowledge, skills and abilities to compile large volumes of
data; apply commonly used query languages; design, develop, test and implement
application software; develop system requirements and/or specifications and apply
common business processes to support customer organizations.

Starting Salary Range: $72,457 - $79,201
Tour of Duty: 8:15am – 4:45pm
Duration of Appointment: Regular Full-Time
Physical Demands: The work is sedentary, but there is some walking around required.
