Major Duties: OCP’s CLO advises the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and directs the senior
management team on all efforts to evaluate recommend and implement training to all District
employees in the area of contracting and procurement, as well as a formal training and joint
certification program with George Washington University to all procurement staff under the authority
of the CPO. Serves as the subject matter expert for training and manages all related delivery
systems and methods. CLO serves as subject matter expert on proposed actions and/or
recommended programs to ensure they fully support the fair and competitive environment
established by the CPO; provides technically authoritative advice and guidance to the CPO and
executive management team concerning District-wide procurement and contracting training
issues.
Knowledge Required by the Position: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or
university is preferred and a four year degree from accredited college or university is required.
Incumbent must have seven (7) years of demonstrated leadership and proven experience with
executing procurements.

Starting Salary Range: $126,433 - $151,719 (plus 2% COLA pending)
Tour of Duty: 8:15am – 4:45pm (negotiable)
Duration of Appointment: At-Will Appointment
