Job Title: Program Analyst – Job ID 4928 Series/Grade: CS.0343.12
Synopsis: The incumbent in this position serves as the Program Analyst and has the primary
responsibility of analyzing current and proposed operating programs and evaluating the actual
and/or potential effectiveness of the programs within the agency. The Analyst will to provide data
driven conclusions on performance and sound recommendations to management.

Knowledge Required by the Position: Comprehensive knowledge of 1) program management
policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to analyze and develop recommendations for
improvement in program operations and objectives, 2) administrative concepts and practices
sufficient to enable the incumbent to recommend changes in administrative policies, to advise on
and establish procedures and office practices affecting the agency, 3) analytical and problem-
solving methods and techniques to identify interrelated program problems, draw conclusions and
recommend appropriate action or solutions to improve program efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications (Education and/or Experience): Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized
experience to include: experience performing a variety of analytical, planning, evaluative, and
advisory work in order to analyze, evaluate and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the
organization. Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized
experience

Starting Salary Range: $72,457 – 79,201
Tour of Duty: 8:30am – 5:00pm
