- Judith: Welcome to the Project Showcase for the Higher Education Leadership Platform. Open Doors Group, the League for Innovation in the Community College, and SoftChalk Incorporated are delighted to share our program with the participants in Open Education Week 2014. My name is Judith Bragg and my co-presenter is Sarah Aboulhosn.
- Judith: Universities and colleges are struggling to find middle managers to promote to the highest levels; in some cases they are reaching outside of education for new leaders. The shortage is caused by the small size of Generation X and by increasing use of part-time faculty members who are not inside the system. The shortage is both in academics and in services such as alumni relations, bookstores, libraries,conference centers, and more.– (PAUSE TO LET PEOPLE READ).
- Judith: The HELP platform offers a menu of services from which organizations can choose the most appropriate for their employees’ career paths. Because the platform is online, it is convenient, cost-effective, and scalable. PAUSE to let them read. Now I would like to hand the microphone to Sarah for additional information.
