This document summarizes PayPal's transformation to a Lean UX process. It overcame barriers by starting with customer-centered design, prototyping concepts and testing them with actual users to iterate quickly. This involved UX designers, product managers, and developers collaborating closely. While the design phase is more flexible, the full product team follows Agile processes. Lessons included overcoming habits to stay focused on users, and scaling the process across a large organization. The new approach helped PayPal recentrer on customers' needs.
